Carpenters were very helpful with my case. Unfortunately, i was crashed into while stationary at traffic lights. I took my case to Carpenters and they have been very helpful ever since. I was kept up to date along the way and given all the information i needed. My case was settled and would recommend to anyone - Joanne Hinton was my handler.

Absolutely terrible solicitors, they could lose my children a lot of money even after liability was admitted. They were Informed of injury to the knee of one of the children and did nothing in the form of physiotherapy. I was very ill after my car accident and they treated me disgracefully too. These are children and are now trying to blame me for the lack of Dr visits when we appealed to them on many occasions for physiotherapy for one of the children. They said I could not be their litigation friend, I have two conditions which I have suffered as a result of a woman running a red light and speeding. My child's back is injured and they delayed treatment for all of us that was in the car. I was told by an independent Physiotherapist that my children would not be in as much pain if Carpenters had acted quickly. You are the worst solicitors ever, you are incompetent, uncaring, rude and without compassion. I am fuming that you could let this happen to two children who could lose compensation as a result of your clear negligence. You don't call or care and have an expensive contact number and you are shamefully slow to respond. Your overall rating clear highlights how rubbish you are and how careless you are. You are definitely not solicitors that any persons should sign up to because you don't do your best for clients nor do you care. Now you want to settle the claim after doing nothing for almost three years accept shuffle paper. I was not advised that the children needed to seek ongoing NHS Doctors otherwise It would effect their level of compensation even though this was reported on the day of the accident, there was injury to the knee and on the first medical. We told you she was still suffering and you did nothing apart from another medical with the same nonsense. Your arrogant and condescending, suggesting a medical isn't wrong. You should not be allowed to continue and I hope you are investigated for the wrong you have done to so many clients. What goes around will come back around and when It does it will serve you right to do your best especially for children. and other. Your a disgrace and black mark to the good solicitors that work hard and deserve their wages.

Following a very serious road traffic accident in 2016 Carpenters Law were appointed to look after my claim. Michael Dutton was my claim handler for the entire time, and I have to say he was absolutely brilliant. He ensured that various medicals were arranged for me, and kept me fully aware of all aspects of my claim on a regular basis. Mike always responded to my telephone calls and emails in a timely and friendly manner, and his advice was always honest and factual. My claim has been resolved in a favourable way. Thank you Mike for providing such a brilliant service. I would highly recommend him, and his company for anyone requiring help following a similar situation.

If I can rate them at 0 I would but you have to give them a star to write a review. Definitely, one of the worst law establishment I have came a cross, unprofessional and deceiving.

The case took three and a half years to settle where the third party admitted liability since day one. These people need to learn how to deal with cases in a timely manner, I doubted they know how to communicate between themselves never mind communicating with their clients. They never answer your calls, they never return calls, messages or emails. They pick up on key procedures quite late and it can cost you your case, for example it took them over 12 months to instruct a Physio and another 12 months to refer me back to an orthopaedic for an examination and my injury was basic neck and upper back injury that took 12 months to recover from!

They couldn t reach a settlement offer with third party because they were still gathering documents and paper work until the negotiations time ran out and we had to go to court to settle the case. Actually the third party insurance tried striking off the case because carpenters solicitors were staling!

In court my barrister has just couple of hours to review my file and obviously wasn t prepared to defend me as he suppose to because he got my case file from carpenters quite late, I done most of the talking defending myself in front of a well prepared barrister representing the third party insurance, the judge was angry at my barrister for keep apologising for not handing in enough evidence to support his argument because of the lousy job my solicitors did in preparing relevant documents in my file for the judge to review (absolutely an overall amature job!)
The judge could of dismissed my case or worst ruled against me but he felt my only saviour was me attending the A & E after the accident and that was just about enough evidence to rule in my favour but he award me the minimum compensation I could get, which was a fraction of what I could of had and also he only award carpenters solicitors half their fees from the third party, he labels them UNPROFESSIONAL and UNDESERVING he was absolutely angry with the way they missed key evidence in my file. I could of dealt with the third party insurance and reach a settlement within months if I didn t use these clowns to represent me, even if the case went to court I could of went to court by myself and done better than my barrister who stayed quitely for 6 hours flipping papers looking confused (it was comical like a funny scene from a comedy flick).



My case solicitor JAMES HALL and my first case handler VIV TITCOMBE , they jopordise my case, I wish you nothing but the worst..

My advise to anyone using any solicitor firm for any case, if they don t return your call or answer your email in a timely professional matter drop them immediately and take your business elsewhere. They are working for you and they not doing you any favours, although they act like it! They are overpaid idiots whom need to learn the basics of communication skills and customer service before you can trust them with your matter.

Still seem to be left in the dark, with what is happening. I really don't know what's going on. Why wont, why aren't they keeping me updated, I wish they would. Contact me. Very very frustrating.... Contacted them the other morning, and asked to speak with Jonathan Fisher. It went to voicemail. Left my contact details email and phone number etc, and they still haven't contacted me. An absolute shambles!

A few months ago I was involved in an accident where someone drove into the back of me at a set of traffic lights. The driver at fault took full responsibility however, what should be a straight forward process of claiming back my excess is taking forever. Carpenters do not reply to your emails so you are forced to call the resulting in long waits for someone to answer and a large phone bill at the end of the month. I am still waiting for someone to inform me of when I will receive my excess back. Don't even deserve the one star in my opinion at the moment.

Again I am a very unhappy customer ! I have a lady called Ashley Todd from Glasgow and she has been dealing or supposedly dealing with my claim since October 2016 ! I am constantly emailing or contacting them regarding it and given so many different excuses , waiting on paper work from doctors and so on now it s going to court etc and waiting on other paper work !! I ve have abrupt emails and calls from her last year as I keep at them ! And I don t get any contact to say what s going on.

If they actually had time to deal with a reasonable amount of things and actually chased this things up on a daily basis we wouldn t be waiting 2plus years later !! Shocking .

I fully support the previous comments, the company is completely incompetent, I had the accident not my fault, the insurance company took the blame and the lawyers could not even recover the money for repairing my car. As a result, I had to cover these costs myself. In particular, I do not recommend Karolina Budzy ska, a rude and arrogant woman. A waste of time, health and money. People, avoid like fire !!!

If I could give this company minus 100000000000 stars, I would. If you want rock bottom this is it. This has been the worst company that I've ever dealt with in my life in my life. It has been painful and I am shocked that they have not been struck off from practising law. I have finally resolved my case after one year ... settling for an amount that is way below what I deserve purely because I can no longer deal with this company. I have had to ring them every time and I have never been contacted by them in order to get some clarification on my case. There was even a point where I had to threaten them with the legal service ombudsman because I was giving such a disservice. The solicitor handling my case left and I was not informed until I contacted them.

If you have been given this company by your insurance company refuse and go private because you would rather do that then be burdened by this pain for 1 year. Now, I have sat here and typed all of this out so you know it's serious avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid I can't say that enough. If reading this will help one person then I feel like I've made a difference.

Absolutely an amazing experience, as I young driver I got hit front end & forced backward hitting another car behind, they were understand & helpful with everything that I wasn't sure of! Was referred to Carpenters from my insurance company after someone hit into me Aug 2016. I had contact with them straight away and they arranged many months of physio and osteopathic appointments for me. They dealt with everything and last month my case was settled. I dealt with a guy called Fionn - did I hear from him every day - No, but I was contacted by him when he had updates and something to tell me! We all know that insurance companies take forever and a day.

Had no problem at all with Carpenters, was recommended these by my car insurance after a crash, they waited on me for about 3 months to send all information they needed and within a month of them getting it I received an offer. Only reason for 4 stars is not a lot of contact between me and them, but if i called them i never had a problem getting to the right person

Christopher has been excellent in dealing with my case, a non fault RTA, hit by an uninsured driver with many other solicitors refusing to take on my case.
It has been a long process as the other side refused to settle out of court, this was unavoidable and not any reflection on Carpenters, I was supported and kept informed at every stage.
I can t thank Carpenters enough & would highly recommend their services.

Dear Maria
I have had to finally make a complaint regarding the total inaction of your company in handling my case. I was involved in a RTA along with my disabled stepson Thomas on 29/10/15. I was not at fault and the third party has admitted responsibility. My case was taken by Cogent Law and we both had medicals in early December. I received a letter dated 7/12/15 telling me that Cogent had gone into administration and our cases had been taken over by Carpenters. I was informed that I didn't need to do anything and that I would be contacted shortly.
Finally, in January 2016 after receiving no phone call/letters I tried to contact Carpenters to see what was happening. When I finally got through to someone they claimed to know nothing of my case (I haven't been given a reference number), I was then transfered to someone else who was more interested in complaining about why I had been put me through to them rather than helping me. I was then transfered back to another call handler who did seem to know what they were doing and pulled up our cases straight away. I was told that Thomas' medical was there but mine wasn't, and we had not yet been allocated a handler, but that she would chase it up and someone would be in touch by the end of the week.
Two weeks later, nothing. Rang again, finally got through. First person I spoke to again claimed to have no record of me or my stepson (No reference number) despite me telling them someone had accessed them last time I rang. They then said I should ring Cogent to see if my records were there and gave me the number. Rang Cogent. The person there said my records had been transferred to Carpenters. Rang Carpenters, finally got through to someone who seemed to know what they were doing (or were actually interested in helping me). They pulled our records up straight away and said she didn't understand why other members of staff denied knowledge. She said that we still had not been allocated a handler, and that my medical report had still not turned up, but that she would chase it up as a matter of urgency, and that I should expect a letter of introduction within a week.
Guess what? Nearly 3 weeks on, nothing. Not a letter, not a phone call, nothing. I'm having to do all the chasing to a company that in their letter to me dated 7/12/15 stated,
"Carpenters will ensure that you receive the highest standards of client care." Having read the reviews on your website, it seems that statement couldn't be further from the truth according to the majority of the reviewers.
I've contacted another firm of Solicitors who are happy to take my case, and if I don't hear anything within the next week I'll assume Carpenters aren't interested in representing me, and I'll start the claim afresh with someone else.

Myself and my partner were hit by another car back...

Myself and my partner were hit by another car back in December causing injuries and severe damage to the car. Thanks to Andrea Cregan, we were swiftly sent to physiotherapy, seen by a doctor, processed and settled my claim quickly, still assisting my partners claim and is there for contant support and updates. Communication was amazingly efficient, Andrea provided us with all the right information to support us not just as a claim, but as a family as well. Without Andrea we wouldn't have been able to get the right medical support for myself, but more importantly my partner who is disabled. Andrea has treated us with the utmost respect and kindness throughout the whole process. I'll be keeping her in my contacts and would quite happily use Carpenters in the future. It took 2 years for the case to resolve my non-fault claim due to third party kept denying for no reasons. It was third party's fault. My claim was transferred to 3-4 case workers during this time. It was very stressfull time and finally my case went to Joanne who dealt my non-fault claim and solved it by issuing court proceeding.the third party insurer who denied the claim finally came for fair settlement. Joanne handled my case professionally and responded to my calls and emails. Thanks Joanne.

Unfortunately had a bad experience.

My car was hit through no fault of my own. Insurance provider recommended Carpenters to sort out my claim for additional damages, so additional costs i had to pay as a result of the accident. Was given contradicting information from Carpenters relating to being able able to claim for fuel expenses and upon emailing 3 times asking questions i received no answers to my questions so had to cancel my claim. I dont know if it has changed since my dealings with them but they have a very poor way of emailing through the account you set up, the message box you use to send a message can only fit a small message in the space, quite inadequate and unprofessional for a company dealing with people who have suffered trauma, should be more customer friendly and ofcourse replying to important questions would be a great start.

If i could put 0 stars i would this solicitors is absolutely atrocious. They have been 'dealing' with our claim now for going on two years with about 3 months of contact out of that time frame. When ever we try to reach our solicitor James Lello he is never there to answer the phone, 'out of the office until tomorrow' and when you try him he isnt there. We have sent countless e-mails and generally get no response and when we do its an automated one. We just want it resolving not going back and forth we have done everything on our part so how come they can't?

DO NOT USE THIS SOLICITORS UNLESS YOU WANT YOIR TIME WASTING!!!!!

My claim with Carpenters took two years to resolve. Despite the case handler changing a few times, I didn t have to chase them about the case, they continued working on it. The other party denied liability but Carpenters still achieved a successful outcome, with liability accepted and a reasonable compensation offer made. The staff working on my case were always polite, professional, and clear. I received quick responses to all correspondence. The last person to work on my case, Joanne, was very friendly and informative.

Awful, premium rate phone number only, they are very slow to reply to emails (a week or more each time). A year ago I was rear ended and I have just been asked to pay to take the other side to go to court and that I can t claim for most of my losses. Cowboys, steer clear!

Edited to add-after this review I was contacted by a member of their team to go over some stuff like giving me a non premium rate phone number and explaining why my handler took so long to respond. Felt happier but in all honesty if the case handler had taken two seconds to go over these when we spoke it would have been unnecessary.

It took 6 months to get my excess refunded even though the other persons insurance admitted liability. In the end I contacted the other persons insurance and sorted it out myself. Carpenters were totally incompetent and did absolutely nothing. I would never use them again.

I had a no fault accident in 2016 I am still waiting for it to be dealt with. I am never kept informed, only finding out information when Sat on the phone for several hours! I would NEVER use this company again, or reccomend to anyone else!

The team at Carpenters dealt with a difficult case, taking 2 years to resolve. Joanne was in contact frequently with updates and made sure everything was put together to push the Third Party to resolve matters. Although still waiting for payment the matter was settled.

I was referred to Carpenters Solicitors from my in...

I was referred to Carpenters Solicitors from my insurance company (Hastings) when I had a non-fault accident with a foreign vehicle on the motorway. Unfortunately proving it to be non-fault was difficult as there wasn't any video evidence or witnesses, just our separate accounts of the events.
Fortunately my case handler, Nicola, was there for me every step of the way to explain the legal aspects to me as well as put my mind at ease.
I am the kind of person who always thinks the worst case scenario and end up with a high amount of anxiety because of it however Nicola definitely helped to ease that for me!
After over 2 years of battling it out with the third party (just because it's a foreign driver these things take a long time) we are finally getting a settlement we're happy with and it will go down as a non-fault, all thanks to the amazing work and commitment of Nicola at Carpenters solicitors!
If you get given these guys by your insurance company rest assured you'll be looked after.

Please avoid, I was referred to carpenters from my insurer due to injuries in an RTA.

Initial contact was fine and thats when the issues happened .

I requested that me and passengers had the medical appointment on the same day at the same place for, this was agreed and then appointment letters came through , and all 3 were in different towns and different dates.

When asking what happened I was then lied thn lied to and told that they cannot arrange appointments on the. Same day,which is incorrect as confirmed by medical agency.

NEVER USE CARPENTERS!!! Refusing to release my file from my accident over 2yrs ago to my current solicitors, keep ignoring requests repeatedly, takes on average 38mins for them to answer a 0844 number. Don't respond to emails, absolute failure!! Next stop is a complaint to the Law Society.

This is the worst solicitor I have ever known. My claim has been going since November 2015. We are now in July 2017 I have been pushed from pillar to post on a non fault claim and have had a 50/50 outcome which i just accepted as the solicitor is atrocious and wanted the claim put to bed this was accepted over 3 months ago and after emailing and calling with no avail have still not seen any money.

How anybody can have a good word to say about this company is beyond me.

Shocking experience. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Multiple emails were ignored for weeks on end and Carpenters seemed to do everything they could to make the whole process as painful as possible. Significant lack of communication from the handler Dean Denn as he ignored most emails and was conveniently unavailable to take phone calls. Would not recommend, avoid at all costs.

Better to opt for a private solicitor than using this firm if your insurance company appoints them for you.

Absolutely incredible how low i would score these, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone for any reason,
You will get a tonne of texts, when you try and call them back you are on a ringing tone for over 10 minutes to then be told they will put you through, and then when you finally get through they tell you that there is a process in which they don't have any kind of time frame in which the insurance claim may take, so after being on the phone for 28 minutes, ended up walking away from them,

Terrible company I have had my case handler changed to someone called Ron. As previous handler didn't communicate and same now I have to do the chasing. Phoned up at end of December to see were my case was. Says they havnt put offer in so will send court letters to the 3rd party phone up yesterday and he say he hadn't sent them most unorganised company they shouldn't take 25% they dont deserve it.

Both me and my wife who have ongoing claims with this company are constantly having to ring or email to get any information from them which the emails are usually ignored or we get a reply a week later. Had an accident well over a year ago and haven't heard anything regarding my claim in over 8 months now. I had to resubmit the same documents more than 3 times and never received receipt of them despite asking at least 3 times. I have emailed countless times and have never once received a reply. I have tried calling the offices several times (even before this pandemic happened) and the phones just ring out.
I have no idea what's going on with my claim and I'm being completely ignored.

Absolutely shocking service!!! They are still currently dealing with a claim I have on-going where a third party admitted liability. I have Salim Johnson as my case worker and is very rude and condescending his communication skills are much to be desired as he doesn t respond to emails and finally got to speak to him today! As self employed I have been at a finacial loss with having time off work to attend physio and I m trying to claim that back, all I got from Salim Johnson was to attend in a evening....okay brilliant if I had set hours but I m a driving instructor and I work every day and the two mornings I have off I have my two year old son... salims reply was attend physio then....? Yes cause that will work with a two year old son!!! Great idea...NOT! My wife works those two days so she can t have my son and he doesn t go nursery. Despite explaining all of this Salim Johnson stated well you prob won t get anything as the other insurance company won t pay out for this!! Okay but surely as a solicitor who is respresenting me you should be challenging this as it s a finiacial loss due to the accident?!!!! Absolutely shocking!! Do not use this solicitors and dreading what will happen with our claim!!! If this is what my legal cover is, I certainly won t be paying for it again on my insurance and will source my own solicitor who is professional and competent.

Shocking!! Wished we had listened to the warnings early on. Referred to carpenters via insurance company, 9 months through a very straightforward case and not even close. Our last two emails were just blatantly ignored...now considering reporting them and looking at getting the case moved else where! The cowboys of solicitors in my opinion!

As the company response advised me to contact customer services - I did this and unsurprisingly this has been met with no response!

Company responded 5 weeks after making the initial complaint however this made absolutely no difference to the level of service that we received. We still had to send a minimum of 3 emails to receive a response and in the end I took to calling every week. The claim settlement was accepted in October but low and behold we are still waiting for the money. I have called every few days, each time I'm told someone will call back but of course they never do. On Monday I was told the money would be available in 2 days, today I'm told there is no guarantee and they have no idea where the cheque is?! The saga continues .....i shall be submitting another complaint this evening. If you are reading this carpenters then I am on the system as the spouse of the claimant - i am listed as being able to discuss the claim with you.

I had car accident in January 2017 which wasn t my fault and through my insurance my case was sent to carpenters and I they were amazing, always kept me well informed what was happening and then advised me on what course of action to take,my case went to court and I was made to feel confident that I would get the outcome I deserved and I did....we won!! A very professional service and friendly team. Would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic to deal with. Had a great service from start to finish with regular contact through email, phone and post. The whole process was very simple, easy and I was very happy with the outcome. They arranged for me to see a physio and I received compensation from 3rd party from an RTA within a couple of months. Would recommend. Thanks

My god don t ever ever ever deal with these people. They don t even have the common decency to reply to a email. We had to do all the chasing. We where hit when my son was 19 DAYS old and he turns 3YEARS old this year and I m still waiting for the money that in January they said was on its way. They send the same form over and over and over again. Just don t bother with them they are so unprofessional and since speaking to another solicitor he had said he s not sure they are even real solicitors. Dealing with these idiots was worse than the accident and caused more stress

RTA in which a van went into the back of my vehicl...

RTA in which a van went into the back of my vehicle at significant speed whilst I was stationary at a roundabout waiting to pull out - thus causing vehicle right-off and disruptive whiplash. 13 months down (July 2019) the line and carpenters are still yet to inform me of a court date. Medical and physio were very prompt, however since then I have had to instigate all contact for updates as it feels like I'm being kept in the dark.
13 months and counting really is pushing it to resolve a nasty RTA in which your client is 100% not a fault.

An update - August 2019. After a promise of action, no action has been taken and the case handler left the company with no communication to myself as to who would be taking over, nor an update as to where the case was. Second court letter has been 'lost' in the post, therefore a further 21 day delay is expected. If the case is to be challenged then a further 7-9 months should be expected before resolution. All in all we're looking at a 22-24 month minimum turn around for a not a fault RTA. Hopefully new case handler will be more 'on it' than the previous Miss Jenkins.

All told, if you're looking for a professionally handled, timely resolution in which you are made to feel like you are even slightly valued. Don't waste your time with Carpenters.

I've been dealing with Carpenters since a crash in December 2017. My case is still on-going so I can't comment on the outcome however, I can say I've never struggled to contact a company so much. When calling to ask for an update I am ignored. I've email, called, emailed and again and still had no response. The contact and communication is appalling.

I would have given zero stars if allowed. Person ran into me and fully accepted blame, carpenters sent me along to a out of town Doctor for a medical, presented the Doctor with a letter explaining my injuries, got a report from the Doctor that bore no resemblance to my injuries. Wrote to carpenters on 4 separate occasions, have had no response after 2 weeks. They have an expensive phone number 0844 just to make a little extra money, and they will not phone you! Carpenters are a very unprofessional company and seem uninterested in their customers AVOID.

Avoid avoid avoid at all costs this firm is the worst solicitors I have ever had the misfortune to deal with in my life ,please go to a local firm of solicitors you will thank me in the end ,three and a half years wasted and an unbelievable about of stress for me and my wife for a very simple case , terrible terrible customer service , solicitor that makes you feel that they work for the other side not you ,nothing is every positive ,ie independent witnesses, medical reports showing clear injury,s,ect ect ,drag there heals on every thing they do ,you have to chase and phone time after time ,and never get back to you ,very rude and condescending,all they are after is there money and nothing else!!! ,they couldnot care one bit about there client,s ,most of them are dealing with over 100 client,s at once ,it is just a money making scam for them ,if this firm is recommended from your insurance firm avoid at all costs they get commission for recommending them , worst firm I have every dealt with ,taking them to legal ombudsman,and p.s please read other similar reviews 100s of them ,ccarpenters please do not put your stupid customer service comments below ,I am not interested you pecks!!!!.

After 3and half years I lose my case at the court today.I had accident and it wasn t my fault at all the car hit my car from the back when I was stopped at the traffic light,I had witness and this company never call the witness and the judge didn t believe my accident. They changed 3 solicitors on 3 years.sham sham sham. Please do not use them if you want to win and it s not your fault on the accident.

Initially the service was quick, but only after a few times half truth's and barefaced brazened half truths came out. The company while is initially quick with handling the starting clerical, they always seem to operate within their own time limits of 5 working days. Or Everything seems to be received on the 28th day form 3rd parties. Even after raising concerns about the way my personal data was disclosed to a random person as clerical mistakes caused postal errors. To all the questions i have asked I have never really had a fair reply, that i was whole heartily satisfied with. The communication is some what poor from handlers, and they even give you time scales which do not even follow other department's schedules and rules. If you have been given this company as the people who will deal with your legal issues., Think twice, as it might take a few more weeks to seek your own legal council, but this company might have won too many insurance company contracts to effectively give good reliable and consistent customer service, to which I have been on the end of their inconsistent side

What a joke company! I was passed to Carpenters through my insurance company when being involved in a RTA that wasn't my fault. Its now been 14 months since the accident. As soon as you sign the dotted lines letting them represent you they lose interest and forget about you. I got so fed up with Carpenters lack of interest and communication i decided to transfer my claim to another solicitors... BUT, i'm waiting on Carpenters to transfer my paperwork. Its been 2-3 months now and still no progress. No response from my solicitors direct number so I have to go through the switchboard and go through their ridiculous waiting times!!! And aswell i dont have a landline so have to pay the ridiculous phone charges because no one calls me or even responds to emails (i'm convinced no one actually works in the office). So anyway everytime i called them they kept blaiming the other solicitors for not sending them the correct paperwork until FINALLY admitting its their fault and I was told it was all in its final stages to be sent off to my new solictor. Weeks past and still my new solicitors received nothing - calling them again they said oh yes its being done now it'll be with them in 3 days. 3 WEEKS PASSED... still nothing! I called again with no response from my solicitor; it wasn't until I expressed my frustration to the lady on the switchboard number she transfered me and she answered!!!! was told the admin guy is off sick so nothing can be done (honestly, she didn't give any remorse of oh I'm sorry or anything - just the attitude of, Well, what do you want me to do?). I then call and ask to speak to a manager. 5 times i called, each time being transfered to 'said' manager with no response. Only on the 5th call my solicitor answered and said theres no managers in today, one will call me back.. surprise surprise no one has called to discuss my upset and dissapointment with how carpenters have treated me. You'd think the manager would care but obviously not. I've now given up calling them, the only thing that happens is an extra charge on my phone bill - no progress or information. This whole year has just been nothing but stress for me, USELESS solicitors NOT doing their job properly. I was the victim in the accident but Carpenters have treated me with NO care or support - nothing but worry and stress. I'm owed money which i feel like i'll never get back, instead i'm spending money calling these clowns. I fully understand these things take time, but no communication? Really? I only want an email to say whats happening. When questioning my solicitor about the communication issue, she said, well it takes over a week to read my emails.. ok, so why does it take 3 months for you to reply? The very rare occasion i get a response anyway.

They pride themselves in good service? Wow, that is laughable. They are all so rude!!!! Really not want you want from a solicitor during a vulnerable time.

I dont want them dealing with my case anymore, but they're being so reluctant in transfering my case over! I dont know how they get away with it. 1 star is far too generous. So, if you're unfortunate to need a solicitor and you receive a call from Carpenters, dont even make that mistake. Go with a solicitor that cares.. and answers the phone when you call them.

**Update** - as expected, still no call from the manager AND no response from Carpenters enquiries email - they're so quick on commenting 'your review deeply concerns us' but still NOTHINGS done about it.

As seems all too common, I've found it impossible to get hold of them. My case was passed to a new handler every couple of months. Seems like at each point, an intern did 5 mins work on it, then dropped it! I d get an email, reply straight away, then not hear anything for over a month (after having to chase things up multiple times). Finally got a payout for what was a straight forward open-shut case (third party admitted fault, dash cam evidence, police corroboration), a year and a day after the accident!

Really wish I'd had the sense of mind to shop around a bit (or even take on the case myself - a simple relatively minor RTA with one third party at fault - probably could ve got double the money in half the time doing it myself!), but of course they get you on the phone and press-gang you into going with them when you're still in shock straight after the accident!

Avoid at all costs absolutely shocking customer service have to wait 30 minutes before getting through to reception then wait for handler. My claim is now into the forth year iv had about 5 different handles all been useless. I have to contact them to find out what's happening constant excuse after excuse that's if your lucky enough to speak to someone. The holders even though you are paying them to do as you say they are rude and il mannered talking over you no interest in how you are or the experience your having dealing with them. PLEASE DO NOT BE A VICTIM OF THIS SODY OUTFIT.

I would not recommend using this company, i was forced into using them by my insurance assumed it was covered. They were terrible every step of the way, sending personal documents via email breaching GDPR. Finally after months of me having to chase them, did anything get resolved. To add icing to the cake, they charged me a 25% of my claim.

I could write paragraphs about the terrible experience I had, essentially if your insurance company tells you to use these guys please take the time to look for other options. Do not do what I did which was to assume that it was covered by your insurance.

The worse insurance claims company known to man my handler amareen kauser, is completely inept. The other party immediately took responsibility in August 2018, yet here we are in March 2019 and nothing. Claim handler took 5months before informing me of local physio details, when I made a complaint I recieved no response. There are amazing insurance claims companies out there unfortunately this is not one of them!! Keep clear.

Claim handler Amareen states she hasn't recieved any of travel receipts that was send over 7 months ago. Despite the driver taking full responsibility amareen states she is unable to get travel expenses.

After being injured in a car accident that wasn't my fault, my insurer passed me over to Carpenters. I called them and registered the details of my accident, a process that felt very rushed and I was given no information about what would happen next. I then heard nothing. After a while I called up and the phone rang out. I called again and spoke to someone who explained I would be given a medical in 6-8 weeks time. I didn't think this was a very practical approach when my injury was present there and then, so I cancelled the claim as it seemed no-one was very interested.

I'm now using a different supplier who have been much better. I have had several calls/emails asking for more detail and checking how I am and a physiotherapy appointment was arranged within a week of calling them. For me it's not about money, I just want to get better and back to normal life.

Based on all of the above, I don't recommend Carpenters, based on my experience.

Saw medical Dr's & seen My Neuro-Surgeon about my Spinal Injuries.
