In my humble opinion, it is the governmental place with the best services. There they have (Hispanic) staff with the best positive attitude for customer service. They are very professional and no matter the need you have, leave there with a smile of satisfaction.

I've been trying to get rental assistance for over a week now. Had an appt with Ms. Reyes. Gave her whatever paperwork she needed. I still haven't been helped. I'm in jeopardy of loosing my place and the "check" they had for me never been issued. The phones are never answered, mailbox is full so I can't leave an message. It's just a bad situation all-around. Smh

The program is supposed to help mothers with children with CNA classes. But you have to basically not work at all for to do the program. And guaranteed child care for you to do it. Not very helpful for those who are in dire need of services.

About Congreso de Latinos Unidos

Congreso de Latinos Unidos: Empowering Latino Communities through Data-Driven Services

Congreso de Latinos Unidos is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Latino community for over four decades. Founded in 1977, Congreso has grown to become one of the most respected and effective organizations in Philadelphia, providing a wide range of services to empower and uplift Latino families.

At its core, Congreso is a data-driven organization that uses evidence-based practices to design and implement programs that address the most pressing needs of the Latino community. By collecting and analyzing data on issues such as education, health care, housing, employment, and immigration, Congreso is able to identify gaps in services and develop targeted interventions that make a real difference in people's lives.

One of Congreso's flagship programs is its education initiative. Through partnerships with local schools and universities, Congreso provides academic support services to students from kindergarten through college. These services include tutoring, mentoring, college readiness workshops, financial aid assistance, and more. By helping young people succeed academically, Congreso is laying the foundation for future success in all areas of life.

Another key area of focus for Congreso is health care. With many Latinos lacking access to quality medical care due to language barriers or lack of insurance coverage or documentation status issues; it offers bilingual health education classes on topics such as diabetes prevention & management , nutrition & healthy eating habits , mental health awareness etc., along with free screenings for blood pressure checks , glucose levels etc., at their clinics located across Philadelphia region .

In addition to these core programs; it also offers workforce development training courses like computer skills training , job search assistance & resume building workshops etc., which helps individuals gain new skills needed for better job opportunities .

Congreso also provides legal assistance related immigration matters including DACA renewals & citizenship applications . It works closely with other organizations advocating immigrant rights at local level .

Overall; it’s an organization dedicated towards improving lives within Latinx communities by providing comprehensive support across various domains like Education , Health Care , Workforce Development Training Programs & Legal Assistance related Immigration Matters .

In conclusion; if you are looking for an organization that truly cares about empowering Latino communities through data-driven services then look no further than Congreso de Latinos Unidos!
