What a joke company! I was passed to Carpenters through my insurance company when being involved in a RTA that wasn't my fault. Its now been 14 months since the accident. As soon as you sign the dotted lines letting them represent you they lose interest and forget about you. I got so fed up with Carpenters lack of interest and communication i decided to transfer my claim to another solicitors... BUT, i'm waiting on Carpenters to transfer my paperwork. Its been 2-3 months now and still no progress. No response from my solicitors direct number so I have to go through the switchboard and go through their ridiculous waiting times!!! And aswell i dont have a landline so have to pay the ridiculous phone charges because no one calls me or even responds to emails (i'm convinced no one actually works in the office). So anyway everytime i called them they kept blaiming the other solicitors for not sending them the correct paperwork until FINALLY admitting its their fault and I was told it was all in its final stages to be sent off to my new solictor. Weeks past and still my new solicitors received nothing - calling them again they said oh yes its being done now it'll be with them in 3 days. 3 WEEKS PASSED... still nothing! I called again with no response from my solicitor; it wasn't until I expressed my frustration to the lady on the switchboard number she transfered me and she answered!!!! was told the admin guy is off sick so nothing can be done (honestly, she didn't give any remorse of oh I'm sorry or anything - just the attitude of, Well, what do you want me to do?). I then call and ask to speak to a manager. 5 times i called, each time being transfered to 'said' manager with no response. Only on the 5th call my solicitor answered and said theres no managers in today, one will call me back.. surprise surprise no one has called to discuss my upset and dissapointment with how carpenters have treated me. You'd think the manager would care but obviously not. I've now given up calling them, the only thing that happens is an extra charge on my phone bill - no progress or information. This whole year has just been nothing but stress for me, USELESS solicitors NOT doing their job properly. I was the victim in the accident but Carpenters have treated me with NO care or support - nothing but worry and stress. I'm owed money which i feel like i'll never get back, instead i'm spending money calling these clowns. I fully understand these things take time, but no communication? Really? I only want an email to say whats happening. When questioning my solicitor about the communication issue, she said, well it takes over a week to read my emails.. ok, so why does it take 3 months for you to reply? The very rare occasion i get a response anyway.

They pride themselves in good service? Wow, that is laughable. They are all so rude!!!! Really not want you want from a solicitor during a vulnerable time.

I dont want them dealing with my case anymore, but they're being so reluctant in transfering my case over! I dont know how they get away with it. 1 star is far too generous. So, if you're unfortunate to need a solicitor and you receive a call from Carpenters, dont even make that mistake. Go with a solicitor that cares.. and answers the phone when you call them.

**Update** - as expected, still no call from the manager AND no response from Carpenters enquiries email - they're so quick on commenting 'your review deeply concerns us' but still NOTHINGS done about it.
