My experience at Capital Dodge was beyond what I expected at a volume dealership, The staff in general are very friendly and instantly make you feel at home. My rep was so easy to deal with and I was happy to not feel pressured into a quick decision. I will definitely be back!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service

I am not a happy customer at all. My husband and I have purchased our last 3 cars through Capital Dodge, the last one being a Dodge Caravan 2.5 yrs ago. We have had nothing but problems with the service department over the last couple of years .. first when we purchased our van we had snow tires stored there, when they put them on I drove away and half way home (30 minute drive) my low tire warning came on. Long story but either they did not put enough air in my tires or they were not sealed correctly. It was a snow storm that day and of course when I left they had closed for the evening. They did correct the issue. Next issue just before the tires, the door handle no longer worked, which is fine it is covered under warranty but my husband and I had to keep calling over and over again to find out when the part would be in, they kept saying maybe next week. Finally we lost our cool after 2 months of not being able to use our door, the part magically appeared. A few minor issues along the way when having inspections done, saying we needed wipers when I just put new ones on the van 2 weeks prior, brakes needing service when they did not. So we stopped bringing our van in for the regular oil changes because we could not trust the service department.

Well my very last experience starts at the beginning of October of this year. We finally were approaching out 100,000km inspection, the service guy was very pleasant to deal with. There was some rust appearing on the van (we had special warranty for that). He assured us that it will take about a week to get someone to call us to book the van in for repairs. After the inspection was done, again we were told that our brakes desperately needed to be done, apparently they replaced 5 lug nuts to these "special" ones that are more expensive because they have a life time warranty, our all season tires were finished. From my past experience with this department I always get a second opinion, sure enough my instincts were bang on, yes tires need to be replaced but they did not replace my lug nuts (all of my lug nuts needed to be replaced and I was given my old ones back, guess what there were NONE that were new), my brakes are fine.

I have called the service department and left a message for someone to call back and wanted to know what is happening with the paint and demanded a refund of these so called special lug nuts and for someone to clarify if my inspection was in fact done correctly. I have yet to hear from anyone regarding these issues. My husband called back again today and the person on the phone could not bother with any of his concerns and passed him along to the "claims" department, which he ended up getting a voice mail.

I am so sick of this run around, I do expect someone to fix all these issues we are having or I will have no choice but to take this to the next level. Waiting 2 months to find out what will happen with the rust is despicable not to mention no one is returning our calls about the other issues. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service

Service advisors are nice. Parts guys are unpleasant. I bought a set of winter tires there for my Town and Country and they installed the wrong ones. Had issues with their billing. The bill didn't match their quote. Lastly, the front wheel came off my car shortly after they serviced it. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but don't ever service your vehicle there.

I have been going to Capital Dodge for years. Ryan always goes above and beyond for all my vehicle service needs. He's friendly, courteous and extremely professional. I can call him at any time to ask a question and he is always helpful. Ryan also keeps me informed about what is happening with my vehicle and he has even SAVED ME MONEY which is almost unheard of with a dealership service department. Kudos to you Ryan for always being there for me!!!!

We had to bring in a Jeep Cherokee 3 times for repairs (an obvious Lemon) and every time they give us a date to pick up the vehicle, it's never ready for another 2+ weeks. they made us pay for a loaner (the first day). shouldn't this be complimentary since the car will be at their dealership for 2-3 weeks?

I brought my Jeep in to get an exhaust issue repaired. Dana in service diagnosed the problem and said while he could fix it by replacing both the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter, it was possible the issue could be fixed by simply repairing the exhaust pipe. He also advised Capital Dodge was not equipped to do this work and referred me to another garage that was so equipped. I ultimately got the exhaust issue fixed for a much lower cost. I am so impressed and pleased with this service. Dana definitely puts the customer's interest first. And I look forward to doing further business with Capital Dodge.

Recently had an oil change through the new express lane. I'm so happy to see the brass saw a need and listened to the customers. It was so fast and convenient, reasonably priced too. I just purchased my third vehicle from Capital and still have nothing negative to say about this dealership. Buying is so easy and servicing is even easier. I recommend you stop in and see Josh and Mike in Sales and any one of Kyle's service folks. Neil is always good for a chat and a laugh if you need a shuttle when you drop off and pick up your car from service.

I've never dealt with such an amazing team and dealership.

I would give them no stars but I can't. I don't recommend this dealership to anybody. My girlfriend went last week to get an alignement and it was never done and she was charged.

We went back today (07/13/20) because the vehicle is still pulling to the left. 30 minutes later we were told that the alignment was never done last week and they cannot do one today. We were refunded but the fact is they lied to her last week when they told her that everything was fine with their vehicle.

Had an excellent experience when I recently purchased my 2019 Ram 1500! Jaime Hi-Me Farfan was an absolutely amazing sales representative and made what can be a stressful and challenging process very simple and stress free. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and really took great care of us throughout the entire sales process. In addition to this he has already checked in with me a few times to make sure I m enjoying my new vehicle and everything is satisfactory. I will be referring my friends and family to Capital Dodge & Jaime Hi-Me Farfan moving forward! Terrible service department. Simple fix - power lock on one door not working. Get vehicle back and it still doesn't work but now the vehicle reeks of oil. It's only a year old and smelled great before they got in there.

More over, I liked the way they have setup their interior with balloons and customized car on display in an adventure form was again a great experience. I picked up my gently used Grand Caravan yesterday. I have purchased three brand new vehicles and countless used ones in my life time and this experience with Capital Dodge was the easiest ever. The salesman was great. The sales manager was very personable. The parts counter guy was straight forward and informative and the receptionist was very kind. I never had too wait. Everybody was doing everything they should have been doing. Just like clockwork. When I picked up the Vehicle, The leather was so shinny I was amazed.

Fantastic dealership. Very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Purchased a Jeep Wrangler. Brian knew his vehicles and was able to identify pros and cons of every model. He also took the time to identify some upcoming possible changes in future models. I felt like he worked with me for me, and got me the best deal possible. After shopping around for a few months, I know the deal I got from the dealership was stellar. The vehicle I wanted wasn't in sick, but the dealership did everything possible to find it for me and honored the negotiated price. I'd recommend anyone to come to this dealership before any other.
Dealership is also aftermarket part friendly while many others aren't. The parts department spent a lot of time with me finding the parts I wanted at the best price possible. They do price match and even beat the matchesmatches.
Overall, no complaints, very happy and highly recommend you to go see them.

My wife and I went in to look at a lightly used wrangler jk. We brought in our current car as a trade.

Salesman would not tell us what they would offer for trade value unless we where committed to buying the jeep right then and there.

We politely explained that nobody should commit to buying anything without knowing the specifics and having numbers to make that decision.

This is what s wrong with dealerships these days. Any company who tries to pressure and rush a customer into a large financial decision in my opinion, is horrible.

Buying a vehicle doesn t need to be stressful, but sales tactics like this are horrible.

For the second time in a row I brought my vehicle in for warranty related service, was told that the work could be performed and then was unable to receive the full intended service and was required to return again due to unavailable parts that I had confirmed over the phone were available. In addition, this time they also tried to charge me for an inspection that I never requested after telling them over the phone not to do any work that would result in charges without contacting me first. I live in greely so coming to kanata once for service for an issue with my vehicle is inconvenient enough let alone having to go several times for the same issue. I will be bringing my business elsewhere in the future which may include the purchase of my next ram truck.

Sales experience was painless, and straightforward...

Sales experience was painless, and straightforward. Happy with my final price, and they did not try to push on things as some dealers will.

Vehicle had electrical issues (at 2700km), as sometimes new cars will.
My philosophy is that these things will happen, and the make or break difference is not the issue itself, but how it is handled by the dealer.

Took them a week to diagnose and order parts (mind you this was over Christmas holiday week). Vehicle is repaired and working now.

My only complaint is that I had to continually call them for updates. I think a brand new vehicle with a major issue should warrant the service department call me and let me know whats going on now and then. Bumped back up a star since they got the issue resolved.

A great dealership that goes the extra mile

Although this dealership is pretty far from our home, downtown, our experiences from purchase to servicing have been stellar. Andreanne (Fiat sales specialist) is a gem and her enthusiasm and love for the brand are infectious. The other sales staff all seem to be equally enthusiastic, sharing excitement about new models that have come in, and all interactions with the sales staff have been exactly the way I like it: immediately helpful and proactive but not pushy; they seem to realize that although you may not be in the position to buy today, a positive experience is likely to mean a return visit when you are ready to buy. The large size of the showroom also means that you don't feel like there's more salespeople than customers.

We've had service done a couple of times to our Fiat, including a repair to some rubber stripping, likely caused by winter freezing water and some squeaky brakes. Both repairs were done quickly and without issue. Our beloved Fiat was returned to us in the same clean condition we dropped it off (no greasy fingerprints).

My only complaints are that since the dealership is way out in the West end of Ottawa (and we live downtown), it's a drive to get there, and both times we wanted to buy parts (paint for stone chips and plastic tray for the trunk) both had to be ordered as I guess they don't keep a lot of inventory on hand. This could be a Chrysler thing, though.

We've recommended Capital Dodge/Fiat to our friends. Hopefully management at the dealership maintains the same caliber of staff and client experience as it's become our favourite dealership!

I've had a lifetime of headaches with the service end of car dealerships. The other Dodge dealerships in Ottawa have been particularly terrible (looking at you Dilawri). But I've been pleasantly surprised by Capital Dodge in Kanata, who have been excellent and fair, and have made the repair process much less painful through fast service and great communications. Worth the long drive across the city for me.

As angry and stressed as I was over this, you were calm in the face of my storm. You were empathetic and understanding. You made it right. I appreciate all you did for me. You kept me updated on your progress and this afternoon you called me with the great news that Capital Dodge was replacing my rims and tires. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am now changing this 1 star to 4. After this experience and dealing with Kyle, I really feel like my satisfaction as a client is really worth something to them.

Called Capital Dodge in Kanata today to book an appointment to have my winter tires put on my Jeep. They "were" in possession of those winter tires. I'll admit, I didn't have them installed last year so they've had them for 2. But does that give them ownership of my tires to sell them? The response, " Well we called you asking if you wanted to book an appointment to have them installed." AND?? Did you tell me in that voicemail that you were going to sell them? Did you send me a letter informing me that if I didn't pick them up, you were going to sell them? Nope. You didn't. Oh!! what about when my transmission blew last year and you had my car for almost 5 weeks? Don't remember that being brought up?So not ONLY did Capital Dodge make money off my purchase of these $1300.00 tire and rims, but you made pure profit selling them AGAIN!! So what do you expect me to do? "Oh! But we called you?" Ummm no. Wheres my money from the sale of these tires and rims? You owe me tires and rims. I will not accept less. Now I'm waiting for someone to call me back.....I'm thinking that's not going to happen

Went to look at vehicles and I was told that since the factory rep was there and they had vehicles on the lot for over 300 days, they were in a position to give huge discounts to clear out the 2016s. They had me fill out paperwork 3 times for various purposes, all asking for the same info. The payment was one of my constraints, and they said it would be no problem and that I'd get much more than I owed for my trade, so I was in a great position.

So, they bring out a Jeep that is $50,000, and I was shocked that they could fit a $50,000 vehicle into my budget. They assured me it would be OK, so of we weren't on the test drive.

We worked out a deal that was in my budget, so I called the wife to get her approval (those are the rules) and we agreed to go ahead. I went back in and the sales manager shook my hand after I told him the wife approved. He went back to his office to do up some paperwork while I continued with the sales person. He comes back with a counter offer $78 b/w higher than we had just agreed to. What?

They asked me if I could be a little flexible on the payment, and I said sure, but not $98 b/w flexible after they led me to believe that they were going to give me discounts to make it work. I declined that, so the sales manager comes to talk and explain why. He says that instead of the $15,000 they thought they could give me for my trade, they could only do $7000... That's a HUGE difference, then he tries to talk some logic into me, explaining the dollars that he's out. He said that he's losing $10,000 on the vehicle and an additional $4000 on my trade, so he can't do it. Sure, they might be losing $14,000, but that's if we were working from MSRP and the lowball offer on the trade. All of his negotiations were to get us back to full MSRP and that was the only price he was working with. They made it impossible to negotiate, after they choose to bring a vehicle that they knew wouldn't fit the budget.

In the end, I walked as they wanted my wallet to do 100% of the negotiating. After the weekend, they decided to call me back to see if I had reconsidered their offer. I politely explained the situation to the sales person and she said she would relay that back to the sales team. I don't expect to hear back. The sales rep (not sales manager) was very nice and understood my situation. The sales manager got very annoyed when I logically explained my position and left the office hiding and puffing (body language, not like he was swearing or anything).

TLDR: dealer brought out a vehicle that was nowhere near my budget, then tried to convince me that they'd offer discounts and rebates to make it fit. Then, they refused to negotiate from MSRP and tried to "reason" me into paying full MSRP and losing $8000 on my trade.

We've purchased 3 vehicles from Capital Dodge, and have been very pleased with the sales people, managers. We never felt like we were "Being Taken" and felt comfortable with the deals we got. The service department has done a great job with repairs and/or maintenance appointments, but just drop in without an appointment as they are always booked solid. Call in advance to set something up.

I bought the new 2019 Ram 1500 Sport, shopped around and ended up saving over 12K with Capital Dodge. Two years earlier I bought a 2016 Ram Sport from them and loved it. Company needed a second truck and the new Ram is amazing. I thought I give Myers Manotick & Southbank a chance and couldn t believe the price difference.

Then go back to Google and type in Audi Ottawa or Mercedes Ottawa. 2016 Jeep Wrangler, rusted after 1 year, WITH a 3000$ warranty/protection, they would not repair.

Worst part was when I spoke to the secretary about it she hung the phone up on me while I was still talking. Sure glad I did not buy there if you have a problem they probably hang up the phone on you for that this. this is very poor customer and public relations. Sure glad my government job did not train me to handle public like that

Complete waste of time. Drove almost 2 hours to come take a look at a used jeep wrangler only to find out that it is so plagued with electronic issues that the spedometer isnt even working. Not to mention it needed a new battery right from the get go. Nowhere on the ad listing does it mention anything about the vehicle having any electrical issues and when confronted about our frustrations, we were given only excuses and no solution. No offer to compensate me for a trip wasted or to look at anything similar.

Save your time, shop elswhere.

I bought my first new vehicle in 20 years here after my trusty 1999 Ram Sport said it was time to let it retire . I had no intention of buying a new Ram Sport on my visit to the dealership. I was just looking.
On the recommendation of a loyal customer who was also on the lot he said to ask for Johnny.
After spending only 2.5 hours with this great guy, I bought my new Ram Sport off the lot.
The dealership is awesome.
The service manager Ryan treats me like a long time customer..he cares!!

I have absolutely no complaints about my buying and service experiences.
Ask for Johnny and make a deal.

My wife and I went to buy a minivan. The salesman's were all talking and nobody pay attention to us when I finally asked for help I got the worst salesman I ever seen in my life. I ask about used minivans he said what is your budget I reply I just want to see what you have he said well I have 18 and I'm not going through all of them with you . That was odd so I pick 2. He was fighting me every step of the way making buying very stressful, made me feel like I had to play defense all the time . When I finally made an offer they came back with another offer. I said well I'm going to take this offer and I'm going to think about it because it's not what I wanted to pay . He said you cannot take the paper. I understand if this was an official quote but it was just a piece of paper with some pen writing on it . Then I reply fine I'll take a picture but before I was able to take my phone out the salesman literally jump over the desk rich over to my chair and snatch the paper right out of my hands . My wife thought that there was going to be a fist fight when she saw my face . I asked for my Visa and my driver's license back and they kept delaying and wouldn't give it to me so I had to go to the manager's desk and pick it up myself . When I went to talk to the sales manager about it but he was not interested in listening to me he just kept trying to make the sale .I'll set you up with another salesman you can still buy the car he sed. I reply I am not buying anything from you guys ever. The experience was so much different to what they advertise in the radio commercial. I feel like somebody should played their own commercial back to them so they can listen to it. His name was Jeff.

Have had no problems with their service department (have had numerous visits). But the service in the business dept. is horrible. Unless you're willing to purchase (and by willing I mean sitting down and ready to sign paper), they can be quite rude. Lost my business because of that! They need to realize that customers don't like to buy something without knowing all the details first.

Brian was fantastic - was very patient with me when I kept on having to reschedule my appointments.

The sales was quick and easy, and Brian walked me through the entire process. This was my first brand new car, and I have to say, it was a great experience.

I would recommend Capital Dodge to anyone, especially Brian. Very knowledgeable and patient with me when I had 100 questions.

It has been a few months, and I have to say it has been fantastic. Thank you again Capital and Brian!

First I must say, my wife and I love our Fiat Cabrio. More room than I thought and handles well on the highway. No problem when passing big trucks. Good heating system in the winter and A/C in hot summer months....although we do like to drive with the top opened.

Purchasing experience was simple and easy. Everything was well explained and no hidden fees. The only real concern is the maintenance schedule. Compared to my other car, it seems the Fiat requires more love and care by the Service Department. However in the long term this may be a good thing. Service department staff are all pleasant and knowledgeable. Appreciate the fact that they don't overcommit or surprise you with a bill that was not expected. Great business model.

Recently purchased a new Ram sport from Josh at Capital Dodge and start to finish was one of the best car buying experiences we have had. With the addition of a suspension level kit and rims/tires, we also got to work with the parts and service team. Every step of the process was top notch. Starting with our sales dude Josh, who has to be the coolest most chill in the business - super knowledgeable and very helpful - but no pressure or bs. If there was an award for car salesman you would most want to go for a beer with, Josh would win hands down. Knowing we wanted some bigger tires, Josh connected my with Brian in the parts dept who was super helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Helped me get exactly what I was looking for. Finally, I dealt with Josh in service who was also a pleasure to deal with. There was a bit of a hiccup with the install of one tire/rim, which they kept me fully aware of and took care of with no concern. Maryann was our finance person, she was also excellent to deal with. Definitely a five start experience. Go see Josh if you need a new vehicle - thanks!

Went in to the store to make a same day deal no jokes, in essence the salesman was good but i had my numbers from another dealer and just wanted to see if they could beat or come close to save myself money..They were 6500 over priced and told myself and my wife the other dealership was blowing smoke. Id say atmosphere was good but i do however think people should shop around before going here because i think much is to be saved if you so choose.

I had recently brought my 2012 dodge 3500 Cummins ...

I had recently brought my 2012 dodge 3500 Cummins in to capital dodge to get my ball joints replaced and have an alignment done as well. When I arrived in service Dana Listman and I did a vehicle walk around , I noted to Dana that my rims where a few months old with no scratches on them and I d like them to stay that way . So I left my truck with them at 7am , I called around 2 and Dana told me they haven t gotten to my truck yet. I use my truck for work so I needed it back so against better judgment I made another appointment with that little weasel Dana Listman.

I came back in for my new appointment at which they got on the truck that morning and eventually got the ball joints done by 3pm but couldn t do the alignment that day so I would have to book another day . I came back in for the alignment which was quoted to me at $100.00, Mr weasel Dana Listman called me during the day to say my tie rod buts we re seized and they had to torch them although my truck is rust free from Alberta they apparently had some seized nuts which was a complete lie . So I return to capital dodge to receive a $540.00 bill for the alignment lol, I was a bit upset but not as upset as when I did the walk around on the truck and found a huge scrape in my new Fuel Octane rim and brown finger and hand grease marks in my interior of the truck, so Sneaky weasel Dana Listman comes out side with a rag and polish cream to try and buff it out but it s clearly not coming out , so weasel Dana Listman tells me they won t repair it , so I told him I would write a 1 star on him . The assistant service manager who knows my family well seeing as my grandfather was a salesman for capital for 30years and was there number 1, and the rest of my family is well known amongst the capital dodge employees , had told me he would call his Rim repair guy and let me know , so I waited a few days and called back the dealership where I got the service manager Kyle , he tells me right out that he isn t doing anything about the rim and I m out of luck , he then hangs up the phone on me mid conversation .
My truck dog legs down the road because their alignment they performed must be incorrect , I ll have to take it to another shop to get another look at it .

So capital dodge gets a 1* review from me .
I recommend anyone who appreciates their vehicle that they worked so hard for to look at the reviews and choose another dealership or shop to work on your vehicle , Capital dodge service department are a bunch of incompetent Weasels.

First time buyer of a Jeep Wrangler and Mike LeBlanc was a great help. He was friendly and went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of.
Ramin was friendly and explained the terms of our financing very thoroughly.

I would certainly recommend both to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Especially if they are looking for a Jeep!

We purchased our vehicle 10 months ago and encountered a slight problem with the cooling module. From the moment we walked in to the Service Dept., Ryan Rodney greeted us with a smile. He was so friendly and courteous. We were able to quickly arranged shuttle service so we could shop for a few hours. The shuttle driver was unbelievable, he gave us his card and told us to call him when we were ready to be picked up. Unfortunately, the repair took longer than anticipated. Ryan wanted to keep our vehicle overnight to make sure we received the vehicle back without any further problems. He quickly arranged for a rental and then followed up with a call the next morning to tell us our vehicle was ready. This was our first experience with the Service Department and only wish that other car dealerships treated their customers in the same way.

Went here to test-drive a minivan. The appointment was easy to make. The sales person followed up on the day of the appointment, which was good.

However, once we got there, we weren't very impressed. Sales person wanted to talk "monthly payment" before even showing us the car. Despite the appointment, they only had a used car for us to see and that car was not in good shape - rattled whenever I braked. I was hoping he would at least help us narrow down which trims would fit our budget/need, but he didn't seem to know much about the trims. He once again tried to talk to us about how much we wanted to spend. He wanted an offer. Remember, we hadn't even decided on a trim yet! I didn't know what I was making an offer on!

Needless to say, we bought a different minivan. The sales person followed up a week later. I thanked him for his time and told him we'd gone with a different car - not even a polite "hope to see you for your next car" came back.

I am so happy with my new 2015 Chrysler 200 Limite...

I am so happy with my new 2015 Chrysler 200 Limited. Geoff at Capital Dodge was amazing and got me into the vehicle I wanted with the payments I was happy with.
He sold me my 2013 Dodge Dart prior to that and I wouldn't want to deal with anyone else.
Each time he was fantastic and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to deal with someone who is respectful and a real joy to deal business with.
