I would like to say I was very impressed with Shannon. She was incredible. For real, she went beyond, to make sure that I was happy with my purchase and the whole process. My whole experience from the moment I walked in the door til the time I picked up the vehicle was very support and not pushy whatsoever. I was so impressed with this. It literally blew me away from all of my years of buying cars. I have never been in a dealership where the staff were so non-pressuring. I had shopped around at other dealerships before I made my decision and was turned off on each one - specifically because of the pressure that was put on.
This has been the best sales person and car buying experience of my life.
I highly recommend Shannon and the team there.

I took my vehicle to Capital Dodge Chrysler on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 to inspect the front end of my Dodge Charger. For three days the steering column had been shaking quite a lot. The higher the speed I drove, the more it shook. I suspected that I might have snow in the wheel wells but I decided I better be sure for safety sakes. In fact, the shaking was becoming less and less each day. I mentioned this to the technician when I arrived. I got no response from the technician.

After a few hours I got a phone call from the technician with some bad news. The technician said that my whole front end needed work. He said that I needed the following replaced- (i) Upper Ball Joints (both); (ii) Tension Struts (both); (iii) Lower Control Arms (both); (iv) Left Tie Rod; and (v) The vehicle was leaking Transmission fluid and needed to be resealed. Additionally, once this work was completed an alignment would have to be done and the wheels would need re-balancing. The total cost was quoted at almost $3,700. I was shocked and I wondered how could all of these items go at the same time, when I never hit anything (accidents, curb etc.).

Not wanting to drive the car in case the dealership was correct, I asked the technician what was the minimum I could get away with. He said the tie rod and transmission service. I authorized just the tie rod and the transmission service. When I received my bill I was also charged for an alignment and wheel balancing. The technician was very dismissive and when I asked him questions.

I then decided I would take my vehicle for a second opinion. So I took my vehicle to a mechanic who had a 5 star google rating. This mechanic did a thorough inspection of the vehicle with the original quote in his hand and called me to indicate that none of the items in the Capital Dodge quote were needed. Additionally, he said that a front end alignment should not have been done unless all work had been completed, not just the replacement of the tie rods.

I then contacted Capital Dodge to discuss the situation. A senior Service Advisor, whom I had dealt with for years, recommended that I take the vehicle to a second independent mechanic for a second opinion. I was instructed, not to tell this mechanic about the original Capital Dodge quote. So I took my vehicle to a 2nd independent mechanic and didn t tell them anything. I just asked that they inspect the front end. This auto service company also had a 5 star google rating. After completing the inspection, this mechanic reported that there were no problems with the front end. When I mentioned the shaking problem to this mechanic, he said that I probably had snow in wheel wells at the time but that there were no problems with the front end of my car.

So, two independent mechanics, each with 5 star ratings, concluded that none of the work I was quoted needed to be completed. So I am led to conclude that the dealership was trying to take me for $3,700 work that was not needed and that the work that was completed is now in question. This is, in essence the definition of the INTENTION to COMMIT FRAUD. I contacted the dealership one final time to resolve this matter quietly. However, the only offer I received, which was originally offered by the Service Advisor, was to be reimbursed for cost of the second inspection ($80). Thanks for the lousy offer Capital Dodge.

In 2006 I purchased a 2002 dodge grand caravan at Capital Dodge and I was very pleased because not only did I get great service through Jon Buckley at the time but I also found the right vehicle for me in terms of mileage, year and price.
Several months ago I started looking to replace my van with possibly an SUV or another van....I looked around for a while and was getting frustrated due to expensive SUV prices or Vans that were in rough shape for the price. I ended up going back to Capital Dodge and figured I'd better ask first if Jon Buckley was still working there and sure enough he was......Not sure if many customers are as loyal as me but when you have good previous experience it probably is common. Anyway within a couple of days Jon had sold me another van because again Capital Dodge had what I was looking for. Great job guys!!

I recently took my car into Capital Dodge because the battery kept dying. Due to the the circumstances of my car repair I had to rent a vehicle from them for 3 days.

To my surprise, I received a phone call saying they were going to waive the rental cost which I thought was outstanding on their part. For them to do this on their own initiative is outstanding as far as I am concerned.

I would highly recommend their service dept. to anyone, not only because of them being so generous, but they are also friendly and easy and group to deal with. They make taking your car in for repairs a pleasant experience.

Good service. Dealt with service adviser Ryan most of the time. They always called before any work was done that was not covered under my warranty.
Mechanics would take test drives with me so I could explain any issues I was having with the car.
The service shuttle was very convenient and always on time.

They had the car I wanted at a reasonable price. It was a trade in 2013 Mustang, in October 2017.

That is about as far as I can compliment them, so happenstance because it was traded in at that location.

I was refused to take the vehicle for a pre-purchase inspection.

Car was half assed washed when I picked it up and oil life on the car was 40%.

All 4 tires were basically bald but passed safety, which I question the integrity of the mechanic and the dealership to allow this at the same time forcing me to purchase 4 new tires.

I purchased a Chrysler warranty, which was told to me I would receive full details in the mail in about 7-10 days... It's now March 2018 and after 4 emails requesting this, still nothing.

I would NOT RECOMMEND this dealership to my worst enemy.

I used to work for a car dealership and no way the owner would have allowed this kind of service.

By far the best experience I have ever had at a dealership and Nathan was excellent! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and outgoing guy. Strongly recommend coming by capital dodge and if you do ask for Nathan.

When she got to the dealership the service advisor stated it would be a 2.5 hour wait when she was told it would be an hour to a 1.5 hour wait. The service advisor stated it would be a minimum 2.5hr wait. My wife said she would go try somewhere else and the service advisor said "good-luck!". Real classy Capital!

Was told it would be approx 2 hrs as I was waiting which I agreed to.
They finished in just over an hour!

I wish I was writing a positive review about their service department, however like so many before me, it will not be.

A couple of weeks ago I brought my jeep in for a recall and to have a simple inspection done in order to identify any upcoming issues. I left the dealership with a knocking sound coming from under my vehicle. I brought it back to the dealership and they proceeded to quote me $1200 to fix the exhaust system. This was utterly ridiculous as the vehicle had been running perfectly fine prior to their inspection. I will not write this and claim that the exhaust was in perfect shape (I simply do not have that information) however their "inspection" failed to identify any issues with the exhaust, then it majically breaks. When confronted about the fact that it was not broken prior to attending their shop, they failed to provide an explanation or take some form of responsibility for the damages. I am a reasonable person and I would have been more than happy to have entertained going halfway on the bill with them.

I am regretful to have to write such a negative review, because I do believe there are some great employees that work hard there everyday, but their service department is in serious need of help. Due to the above, I have no choice but to strongly recommend against attending this location for mechanical work. I didn't, and now I'm paying the price, literally.

Even during the pandemic, on a Saturday, with only a skeleton crew in the service department, my car was seen, diagnosed and repaired in record time. I know my Fiat is in good hands at Capital Dodge. I am extremely happy to report that once again Capital Dodge Chrysler Jeep continues to provide amazing customer service. I was in for a "service engine light". I was welcome right away with a friendly wave and smile from Service Advisor Dana. He is always so great. After a few simple questions about the vehicle, he had me up and running in a courtesy vehicle in no time. Since they needed my van for a few hours, it was better and safer during Covid to head home. A few hours later, I received a call telling me what they had done to fix the issues and the next morning I picked up my vehicle. Service Tech/Mechanic Darrin wanted to speak with me and share what he found and how he fixed it. Both Dana and Darrin proved that at Capital Dodge, they certainly take care of their customers.

If you are not taking your vehicle to Capital Dodge in Kanata for service, you should be. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again Dana and Darrin.

My wife recently had her Fiat in for some warranty work, overall it was good, they took care of the warranty work, found a couple of other issues, also covered under warranty. The issue I had was she was told it needed sparkplugs, a PCV valve and a battery, for around $1200!?! The battery ended up dying while there, no problem, change the battery, $214 for a battery, OK around market price but $89.95 to change it? Is your hourly rate really $200 an hour, it's a 20 minute job, including a smoke break. Also I ended changing the PCV valve and sparkplugs, 1/2 an hour. Oh the plugs that were in it, were perfect, not just good but perfect.

Don't be greedy.

As a preferred customer and a returning Chrysler Dodge customer, I must say that I am unhappy with my brand new 2016 Dodge RAM 1500. After waiting 10yrs to purchase this truck, I now own a brand new truck that makes noise inside the truck even when it is turned off. After making a number of trips to the service department, which added 1000KMs to my truck mileage. Although service did try to fix the issue, it was always given back to me with the grinding noise.

I have test driven endless trucks over the past year and have friends that don t have this noise, to the point of being given a rental truck while my truck was being fixed, and the rental truck of the same make had no loud grinding noise.

Although promised this issue would be raised to Chrysler, nothing has come of it after a month of waiting and reaching out.

As a preferred customer I am not feeling preferred, all I want is the noise to be fixed in my new Dodge Ram truck.

Had a bad break on my truck, I was looked after immediately and provided a vehicle to return to work. The service department secured out of warranty assistance from Fiat Chrysler Canada. Parts were rushed in to get repair done as quickly as possible. Truck had minor cosmetic issues after it was returned to me. That was repaired in a jiffy the next morning. Very happy with the whole team @ Capital Dodge.

Do not shop here. My husband had looked at a truck and put a deposit down. He then looked at another dodge at Hinton in Perth (way better dealership all around with better prices) and it was a higher model truck for lower payments. He tried to tell capital dodge that he didn t want the truck and tony the finance manager told him it was too late, the truck was already switched into his name. He figured he was stuck, so he cleaned out the truck he owned and took it in to trade it in for the new truck. No joke, he was told he couldn t pick up the new truck UNTIL THE PAPERWORK WAS SIGNED. This dealership rushed getting the ownership switched into his name so he would be forced to take it even without legally signed paperwork. They couldn t force him to take it because they didn t legally have anything signed. They have since sold the truck (and switched ownership back out of his name, also with no signature) I have no idea how they do this, but it s super dirty and illegal. They won t return the deposit (because they illegally switched a vehicle over and it cost them money). We have since heard from several different people that this dealership also did this to.

SHOP ANYWHERE BUT HERE unless you want to be scammed into a vehicle. Worst dealership I have ever dealt with.

My visits to Capital Dodge are always a pleasure. It's not just that Wendy calls to remind me about my service schedule without pressure and at my convenience, or that Neil drops me off at work in the morning, picks me up in the afternoon, and is a professional behind the wheel, both in skill and as a representative of his company. It's also about the person to whom you hand over your keys.

I feel good about giving them to Nick Hall. After driving into the service centre, I'm always greeted with a smile. When I'm explaining the reasons for my visit, Nick gives me all of his attention. He isn't distracted by other business, asks intelligent questions to figure out how to best approach the issues, and informs me of exactly what the next steps will be and what to expect.

The service technicians have always put down floor mats and seat covers and it has always been ready on time with the work completed as expected.

I would and have recommended Nick and the service department at Capital Dodge to my friends.

Very disappointed. My break lines rusted out, and my car's breaks would not work. Dropped it off at the dealer overnight for them to take a look in the morning. In terms of speed- fantastic, they took a look the next morning. They came back with buying custom parts from the states and it would take 7-10 days. The price was extremely high and I thought to call elsewhere to validate their pricing. Out of the three shops I called, they were over double every time. and almost 2 thirds more than one. For icing on the cake, when I moved my car to another shop, I noticed a huge dent on my passenger side. I admire my car daily and would not miss a dent like this prior to dropping it off. The service manager told me that he had a clear vision of the car pulling into the garage with the dent already there, but no vision of the car in the lot the night before.

So in essence, they are overpriced and do not have camera's protecting the cars in their lot as their employees are parking them. very very disappointing.

I bought a 13 Jeep Wrangler one year ago. I have owned 3 new vehicles and 2 used and never had such bad service. I wish I had researched the dealership more! I trusted Jeep/Chrysler would have higher standards. Their service department is disorganized, slow and all around bad customer service. The parts are 50 to 100% more expensive then other dealers 10 mins away. The sales department loves you until you sign the cheque. Jim Should be ashamed. Bad management, staff, or maybe they are in money trouble? I'm not sure why they treat customers like that.

Very good service, thank you! I called them this morning to see if they could squeeze me in for an appointment. They were able to put me in the same afternoon and I was in and out within an hour. I was able to work on my laptop from the waiting room using their wifi. They honoured my one year warranty (which was incorrectly rejected at the St. Laurent dealership) and they replaced my front headlight and cleaned my fabric.

I was terrified of going to a dealership to buy my first car but once I voiced my concerns about being pressured into something I couldn't afford, my sales guy, Mike didn't pressure me in the least. After a few test drives I made my decision and was then introduced to Ryan (the finance guy). He walked me through the whole process with ease, a lot of patience (because I had a thousand questions) and he made sure that I knew exactly what I was signing up for. After paying $870 dollars and "fixing " a wiring issue, I picked up my Jeep to have my wipers not working and air bag service light on. Only to be told the issue migrated and I have to pay more to fix it. So in reality the wiring issue was not fixed. DO NOT take your vehicle to this dealership . You end up with more problems when leaving, then when you left your vehicle.

The vehicle I wanted was in Capital Dodge lot so I engaged with the sales team, on-line. Within 5 days Andreanne and Andrew help us along including the loan paperwork. The oil change service is great. The regular service not so much. Theres a water leak in my camera which should never have happen. Glass should not let water through unless its faulty. I got charged 100 dollars for a diagnostic...(theres water in the lens...i can show you). I tried to reason with them, i pay the the 100 then ill pay labor to replace the camera, but i will not pay for the camera as it is faulty. They told me they can only discount parts with approval of chrysler canada which is a lie....they can discount parts they arent squeezed by corporate rules. But if they feel they need to shake me down, so be it. I didnt mind paying where i needed to pay, i was hoping quality customer service would meet me halfway...well guess not. Off to somewhere else where my money is appreciated.

World Class Service from Ryan Rodney! My van had a serious issue with the cylinder head and I took to Ryan at Capital Dodge for a second opinion. Ryan listened to my concerns and carefully explained the entire process to diagnose the problem. He called me back when he said he would and confirmed this was a known issue to Chrysler Canada. I was pretty relieved to hear this given the dealership I had taken it to the day before said without actually diagnosing the problem, they "knew" it was not a warranty covered issued and estimated the costs would be in the thousands! Before you have any major servicing performed on your Dodge Chrysler vehicle, take it to Ryan and his team, they will give you an HONEST and professional opinion. Trust is at the core of any service relationship and you can be sure I completely trust Ryan for service inquiries in the future!

I can go to Pro Oil Change on Eagleson for an oil change that would be like $50, give or take, and be in and out in 10 minutes... Cost me $126 for an oil change that took 35 minutes. It took over a month to get my truck from time of purchase. When I picked it up it was missing all the added parts I bought. Also, they would not honour a spray in bed liner that we shook on, but was mistakenly omitted from purchase agreement. Will never buy from company again.

Very Friendly and Helpful

Ryan was an excellent introduction for my visit. He explained all the steps necessary to resolve my issue. I even felt a slight pang in his voice when he gave me the estimated cost to fix my van. The service was completed on time and on budget. They never tried to "up sell" me on any additional repairs.
The next day however, produced a loud squeal from where the work was done. Ryan immediately scheduled a test drive with the service manager to identify the problem. Of course, by the time I got to the dealer - the noise was gone. Still, Shane - the service manager - came for a drive and tried to reproduce the sound. They took my "fantom" claim seriously which was nice.
The van is driving perfectly now - no repeat of the noise.

I hate the Dodge Caravan !!!!!

I hate the Dodge Caravan !!!!!

I got 1st one in 2004, then after 3 years I was in trouble to handle this or that problems and finally I sent it back for a trade in .

I just thought I was unlucky and got a bad car, after trade-in I got a brand new Grand Caravan in June of 2012.

My Gosh, I can not believe the same trobles started in June of 2013 within ONE YEAR of using this stupid car !!!!! There are lots of noise of screaming sometimes, and finally I found the rear tires are so hot oftenly after very short driving of couple miles!!!

Who can tell why the stupid car can behave like this !!!!!!!! Definitely we won't buy any American cars any more, and I will stop anyone to buy it as I can !!!

I came all way down from Gatineau to get the best deal in the region on my daughter's dream car: the magnificent FIAT 500 Lounge. Lots of choice, no pressure, a big smile and people who are anxious to get you the best deal in town. It was a surprise for my daughter and the car was prepared within 24 hours, no other dealer could do that but Capital Dodge did it... My sales rep, Andreanne Budd almost felt the car was for her relative, she was motivated, enthusiast, professional, attentive, polite and dedicated to my needs. She worked for me in this deal. Mike in the finance department put no pressure and acted promptly, this guys knows his business. Nothing negative to say ... continue you Great work guys !!!! I recently stopped by Capital Dodge as I wanted to trade in my Longhorn Laramie truck for something smaller. I was immediately greeted by a fine young sales rep named Connor Smythe. Within 15 minutes, Connor had nailed down exactly what I was looking for in terms of vehicle and price range. He took the time to show me my low end and high end choices. The Grand Cherokee LTD was a perfect choice for me. Connor worked tirelessly all day to make sure that he sealed the deal with me. He even came in on his day off to aid me in signing the purchase agreement. I have had the Jeep for a month now and love every opportunity to drive it. I would certainly request Connor again if the opportunity ever came up as my husband always has his feelers out for new vehicles. Thank you so very much Connor for making me feel so comfortable and for getting me in to the perfect vehicle for me!!!

Positive Experience

I was able to get my dream car (with more options than I had hoped for!) at a very competitive price. The dealership helped me with fair financing options. The whole process was fast and the staff were really friendly. Since owning it, I've brought my car into the dealership for oil changes and the staff are always friendly and more than helpful if I have questions. Overall, I love my fiat, and I had an excellent experience at Capital Dodge! I will definitely return when I'm ready to upgrade!
