They Sold Me A Lemon!
Purchased a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse and was told that the title was clean. However, after purchasing this and turning it over to my insurance company they came back stating there has been severe damage reported. Now, I have to pay a surcharge on my policy. To make matters worse 2 weeks after purchasing this vehicle the engine light came on. I set up an appointment at Baxter and they were full for two weeks, but I scheduled it anyway. I had to use a vacation day and drive 6 hours back to Omaha. Only to be denied service since I did not have a Nissan. Great waste of my time and income. Now, after taking it too the Chevrolet dealership I have been informed that my warranty does not cover all the issues with my vehicle. I will be paying $1400 out of pocket! I already had to use a loan to purchase the vehicle! I have been told by multiple employees at Baxter that they will make it right however I have yet to see anything and messages take days to return. I would never recommend them to anyone and never plan on doing business here again.

I've got to admit, car buying isn't my most favorite thing to do. Don't like the haggling, don't like the hours spent, don't like the pressure. Recently purchased a new Escape from Joseph Luellman and this was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had. Joe is not only a good salesman, he's a person. He's very personable, easy to talk to and went out of his way to give me the best deal possible. I actually did not need a new vehicle, but the deal I got from Joe couldn't be passed up.

The sales process was frustrating. My son and I came in for him to get a vehicle. He already picked it out online, has 800 credit score. Just wanted to buy at reasonable price. It still took more than 4 hours as they brought in sales manager who says there is nothing they can do, but he did. Would not tell us the interest rate. Came back with a higher than expected interest rate. Took back to finance mgr, sold extra products. The old if I can keep payment same would you add warranty. So he offered to lower rate. When I called him out on just give the lower rate, he said he can only do 5 per month. I like the car, price fair not great. Process to get there excruciating.

Thank you to Mike Swanson for your OUTSTANDING customer service. You were informative, personable, straight forward, professional and you made us feel like we mattered. You did not make us feel like we were a sale . You took your time with us and made our daughters first purchase a wonderful experience. We would be more than happy to refer friends and family to you.

Purchased a 2015 Ford F-150 this past July, Kevin Putman was awesome, I told him what i wanted, he found it, I then came out to the dealer, was very pleased with the truck, he had found all the things i was looking for in a great deal, process was very easy and straight forward, not a single surprise. Can't ask for more than that!!!

Baxter Fords service department is really challenging to get a hold of. Thankful for online scheduling... Not sure if they are understaffed in there, but good luck getting anyone to answer the phone in there service department. Not this way at Baxter Jeep/Ram Service, which is why I am so surprised how drastically different the service level is.

Only deal with them when I have too, won't use them for non warranty work changes anymore as a result

I have personaly have bought 4 vehicles from Justin Miller and have had a great experience dealing with him I would definetly buy from him when my cars lease is up next year.

Called the shop and talked to Rodney Bates. He emailed me photos of the F-350 KINGRANCH
and we drove down to Omaha about 2 1/2 hrs away. We were greeted by Rodney and he made the sales process go very smoothly. Chip Kinder helped me get the paperwork signed off and I BOUGHT MY FIRST TRUCK! GREAT REPS THAT WORK AT THIS LOCATION!

Andrew Fauss was nothing less than amazing!! He helped me purchase my 2013 Ford Fiesta! While I was looking at the Fiesta's he was telling me all the pros and cons so I could be 100% positive that this was the car I wanted. I've recommended Baxter Ford to many of my friends and told them to go through Andrew!

I bought a 2016 Ford Fusion from salesman Matt Eveland in February. He was a nice guy and provided good service.

We went in on a Saturday not really intending to purchase a vehicle. Ted our salesmen was excellent. Now they really offered a good deal we could not pass up. Dustin the sales manager was great to deal with. They followed through on our entire conversation and then some.

The people at Baxter Ford on Dodge street were excellent to work with. No pressure and treated me fairly. I will buy from them again.

Least painful used vehicle purchase I have ever made.

Great service. Was in for a oil change and received free car wash. Was shuttled over to Village Pointe shopping center while my vehicle was being serviced and picked back up and returned to the dealership. Shuttle driver was awesome and so was JoJo at the service desk.

Overall I am very impressed with Baxter Ford. I went in looking for a vehicle with a set budget in mind and specific features I was looking for. I met Chad Bloodworth and was very impressed with him. After several test drives, I decided to lease a new Ford Edge. Chad went above and beyond to help me find the perfect new car. He showed me all of the features, synced my phone and really did a thorough job making me feel comfortable in my new vehicle. The management was very friendly too and made this process very smooth! I would recommend Baxter Ford and Chad Bloodworth to anyone looking for a new vehicle!

My experience was great!! The people were very nice, helpful and understanding and made sure I left the lot more than satisfied. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The used car "manager" tried to say that nobody in the industry uses KBB or Edmunds TMV for sales and they have their own special "Black Book". Tried to say that the price of the vehicle reflected and oil change, "servicing" and detailing. WRONG! That part of doing business as an auto dealership! Hid the fact that the vehicle was previously owned by an extremely heavy smoker, the smell of the bottom of an ash tray came out about 4 days after purchase. Whoever detailed the vehicle did a terrible job, dust everywhere and lady bugs between the dash and windshield. Gas tank was at 1/4 and they didn't even offer to fill it up. A week later their finance department called saying they haven't received the check for the truck from my finance company and then tried to blame me for not sending in the proper paperwork. It was all filled out and given to the finance person to fax to my finance company the day the deal was done. Baxter Ford lost the forms between me signing and them faxing.

Fast forward another week, I brought the truck back to have it re-detailed, an hour drive up and back to Omaha. 2 hours wait and I get my truck back, the smoke smell is gone (for now) but EVERY other thing I pointed out that was still dirty and missed during the first detail is missed AGAIN. At this point I give up and will just take it to the car wash across from where I work and pay to have them do it right.

I then go back home and go to the DMV and attempt to license the truck. Lo' and behold, Baxter Ford has done absolutely nothing with the title and it's still listed as them being the owner.

Avoid this dealership. Not saying Baxter is a bad name, I had a wonderful experience at their Dodge dealership in Lincoln when I bought my car there 3 years ago. Baxter Ford, however, is only just one above my worst experience at a car dealership. Avoid them.

Adam ruined this place for me. I drove up from Lincoln to test drive a car. After being transferred multiple times from one representative to another over phone and email, I was once again handed off to another representative, Adam, in the lobby. Adam let me go for a test drive, what u came to do. I drove the car for about 10 minutes, and then he asked me if I wanted to take it home. I told him my price range and that the car was out of my budget but if he had one in this range, I would love to. He proceeded to try to sell me hard. Adam told me I needed to flex my budget, and tried to confuse me with different loan terms and rates, all while talking down on me. He would not explain things or listen, but rather tried to confuse me with numbers and act like I didn t understand. I will not be returning here for any reason, and I would not recommend this place to a friend.

Thank you Chauncey for explaining things to me, and listening to what I was trying to explain to Adam. You were this place s only saving grace tonight.

Sales process was ok - but after the sale was done - an accessory was not installed properly and after several tries at fixing it - they just gave up and would not return my calls or emails. Their after sale support is terrible!!!!!

My Sister-in-Law has been looking for the right low mileage Expedition for a little over a month. She had not had a great experience with her search until we stopped out at Baxter Ford - West. Our sales consultant, Rod Bates, did an excellent job walking us thru the purchasing process. This was her first large purchase for her on her own, and she was very nervous. Rod took the time to make sure she was comfortable with the vehicle and worked with her on the test drive to maneuver and understand the options that were included with this beautiful truck. When it was time to talk about her trade and price, everything was upfront all the way thru the finance department, No Surprises! Even though it was closing time Rod had the truck washed and cleaned up for delivery by the time we were done with the paperwork. It was the most comfortable and easy truck purchase that I have ever been part of. Thanks Rod for making this such a pleasant experience! I know Rosie is very happy.

Very friendly and courteous. When my car was going to take longer than expected, they provided a loaner car, which was much appreciated.

Our experience with Baxter Ford was awesome. We worked with Austin and Ronnie to lease a new Explorer. Austin did a great job showing us and explaining all the different trims. We ended up with Explorer ST and couldn t be happier. Give these guys a shout next time you re out shopping for vehicles

Work with the parts guys a ton - Bob and Rich are pretty good guys and do a lot to help figure stuff out. Also keep quite a bit of stuff in stock

Update #1, from my original positive impressions now that I've had about a half a year to see more.

Update #2, Brett at Baxter has been working with me to smooth out problems I've been struggling with on my new Focus. Things are looking up. I will update again once I see how everything pans out.

Update #3, my biggest issue has been addressed, outstanding issues on two household vehicles appear to be stopped, leaving it 3 stars since I did finally get good help on one big issue.

I had a great experience buying a car from both Brian Dahlberg and Jacob Bird. I was under budget constraints, and car size needs. These guys at Baxter pulled rabbits out of their hats to help me. Financing too. Definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a new or used car or truck. I love my Expedition. Thank you guys.

Kevin Putman was absolutely fantastic to work with. He was timely in updating me on my additional accessories that I was adding to my truck and made sure that it was delivered on time.

Everything was smooth. Brought it in for a service engine light. Cleaned the maf sensor and it was fixed. I've been very happy with the service and my experience here for these past 2 years now. Thank you Jojo for helping me keep my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer going. It's an extra vehicle now but I'm still looking forward to seeing it hit 300,000 miles. 35,000 miles to go!

Recently purchased a new explorer through Baxter. We worked specifically with Matt Eveland who was nothing short of amazing! He made sure we got exactly what we wanted for the price we wanted! He even helped us take care of a few minor cosmetic issues after the sale! Would highly recommend working with him!

The first offer was that they would not sell the vehicle I wanted at invoice and less. They then decided they would. When they appraised my vehicle they were $1000.00 lower than a dealer in Des Moines and wanted a second set of tires and wheel which were never a part of the deal. I will not be darkening their showroom door any time in the near or distant future.
In my opinion this is the kind of dealings that has most buyers afraid to step on the lot.

SHADY. after making a deal with me and allowing me to drive three hours to come test drive a car, jeff the salesman , first tried to say we hadn't agreed on a price, after trying to pass me off to another salesman so he didn't have to honor his agreement, tried to tack on in house financing and an additional warranty in order to honor the price he had quoted me over the phone. Shady, shady used car salesman tactics. They wouldn't even honor what the used car sales manager agreed to yesterday. Stay away from here, they are only out for profit and will tell you anything to get you in door, but won't honor it, once you're there. Thanks for wasting my time and my money by not honoring your sales pitch.

Baxter Ford went above and beyond my expectations! I have never experienced a dealer that truly cared about the customer like them! They took care of everything I would normally be looking for when buying a used vehicle. They let us talk to the mechanic, drove it to our mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection, and took care of all issues before letting us drive off the lot. In fact, when they saw the AC didn t work, they told us they were concerned, with the predicted heat index, about me driving it with kids and made sure we had other ride arrangements, to keep us safe. Car dealerships and salesman can be so fake and unpleasant. Not the case at Baxter Ford West. Dustin Lair is far from fake in fact he is totally legit!! I seen a used vehicle that I liked at another dealership, found that they had one just like it at Baxter Ford West. Called, it had been sold. Came into contact with Dustin Lair! BAM! Ended up with the exact truck I wanted with all of the details that I had to have, within TWO DAYS!! Incredible. Super personable guy and very job focused in order to make me happy, and I hope made him money!! Thank you Dustin! Will be referring others to you FOR SURE!!

Unfortunately, there were inaccurate statements made with the car repairs that were going to be performed.. The person in finances denied original conversation about what I wanted added onto the loan. All considered, I will not go back to this dealership.

I met Mike Anderson at Omaha Car Show. Told him exactly what we wanted. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in. I set up appointment to meet him at dealership. He had vehicle I was interested ready and waiting. We made a deal that we were both happy with. He made sure we understood everything about the car before we left. He even set my wifes phone up to work with car. This was best experience I have had visiting a dealer and purchasing a car. Mike was definitely not the kind of salesman people dread meeting. Won't deal. Was told initially one price and when I brought up lower price on craigslist, I was informed cars are listed on several different sights and that the price on craigslist was indeed the asking price. I said well I do not finance and I pay only cash would I be able to get it lower, and was then told well if they didn't get was was listed online then Baxter Ford would rather sale at auction. (keep in mind the sales person I spoke with gave me the higher price first and said it the price had just dropped to the one he quoted me.) One dealership I will not be dealing with again.

There was no confusion the sales rep was simply rude, I have purchased a vehicle and it was for cash I love my mustang GT convertible. This was not purchased with ford Baxter...but another wonderful dealership..

Went in to Baxter Ford to go look at a new Explorer. I went up to the reception desk to ask them a question. When I was speaking to the person there, a manger came up and started speaking over me to the same person. I walked out. No reason to buy from people who have no clue what customer service is.

Really recommend purchasing a vehicle from here. Jodi and the team did an awesome job and made it possible for me to drive away in an all new 2020 F 150.

Great customer service and were very helpful with helping finance the newly bought car. My salesman Daniel Hernandez was a major help and got the major problems fixed right away when I needed it and provided great service and professionalism.

Oil change appt went well, service was good. Told them wanted just oil change, no rotation. FORD rotated as mis-understood but comped my rotation and were willing to un-rotate. Very accommodating!

I give this Baxter Ford service department a one star rating. Took my vehicle in to get a oil change. Upon entering the service garage, I was met by a rude, older gal obviously needing customer service training. Who doesn't provide a proper friendly greeting? I have received excellent service experience from Baxter Subaru (even offered loaner instead of waiting!). After receiving my vehicle back from getting a oil change, I noticed they over filled the DEF causing it to spill on my paint. Not mentioned, of course. Now I have to wash my vehicle in this freezing weather...no thanks Baxter.

We had a great experience starting with Meg in sales all the way through financing. We will definitely be back to Baxter Ford when we're ready to buy again.

Dustin Lair goes above and beyond the typical salesperson. My wife and I have purchased 3 new vehicles from him and he's even installed a new battery himself after one came back defective. Now that's service!

I worked with Tim Kennedy in purchasing my Ford Edge. I knew I wanted an SUV and Tim made it easy to get me into the car and make the decision to go with the Edge. We easily agreed upon a deal. It was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I spent most of my years living on the East Coast and was referred to Tim through a friend. Best decision I've made. He made the paperwork come to me, as I was just starting a new job and couldn't take time off. A real class act. I've had this car for over a year now. I've used the service department a few times for minor items, oil changes, tire rotations, and a weird electrical thing with my door lock. All were seamless, painless, and done correctly the first time. I'll be buying all my subsequent vehicles through this team!!!

Eric Maynor was very efficient in helping me locate a vehicle. He made the already frustrating process, turned more frustrating due to this not being a planned purchase, much less stressful and as hassle free as he could. Any questions I had, he answered to the best of his abilities. If I had reservations about a vehicle, he took that into consideration and was able to find the right vehicle for myself and my family. I went to Baxter Ford West Dodge on 4/3/19 with the intention of only test driving vehicles to get a better idea of what I wanted. Since I am a woman, I was worried that I couldn't get the best deal car shopping by myself. Ambrose, Matt Philips and Jordan proved me wrong!!! Each gentleman contributed significantly to my overall shopping experience that I didn't need convincing to buy! I am absolutely thrilled with the customer service and value I received. I do my research and I am convinced I could not have had a better experience any where else! Friends and family are in disbelief when I tell them about the service I received! They are all saying they want me to go with them when they buy their next car, but I know that it was Ambrose, Matt Philips and Jordan who made the difference that day! They worked with me every step of the way. They listened to what my goals were with purchasing a new car and they delivered on every point! I never felt any pressure to buy! Thank you!!!

Jody, I believe her name was, was very helpful with an issue that should have been covered by my extended warranty, but the warranty company deemed it most likely was caused by potholes. (it was the gear indicator light next to the gearshift stalk. Baxter did the best they could regarding out of pocket cost and got it repaired the same day.

My only issue is with Ford that decided to discontinue SYNC service on 2013 Ford Edge vehicles like mine. So I can't send a vehicle report or stay similarly connected with recalls etc from my vehicle's touch screen. Again, that is Ford.....not Baxter Ford. That was certainly a convenient option and a worthwhile safety option as well. But, they discontinued SNYC connectivity. Thank you Jody and Baxter Ford for working with me on the warranty issue.

Had an amazing experience at Baxter. It was time for me to purchase a 2015 F 150, so my wife and I began doing some research on the vehicle. We knew our first stop was going be salesman Ambrose Lurks at Baxter, as my family has already purchased a few vehicles from him. Exactly what I expected - very friendly people, professional, and very knowledgeable. We were able to look and drive several different trucks and pick out the one we loved the most (even sold the loaner I was driving for a couple days to my dad).
Since the purchase, there have been a few minor issues on the truck that needed fixed, and all of the folks at Baxter continued treating us as priority #1. Just a lot of good people there. My daughter still asks me if we can go see Ambrose!!

Update 12/30/19. During the below visit we requested a noise coming from the rear left be investigated. Another failure that had to be repaired during our Christmas trip to UT.
Took our Flex in for the 100K service 3 weeks ago. Technicians didn't change the spark plugs, they told my my wife they "looked good". Well, one of the spark plugs fouled on the way to KC on Friday so we missed the presentation at parents night at my daughter's college. Car is at Baxter Ford south now getting the new plugs it should have gotten to begin with. Also, Baxter south stated there was a recall on the fuel pump and are changing that as well. This didn't get mentioned during the initial visit 3 weeks ago during the 100K service and based on my research and discussions should have been. Will never bring my vehicles here again.

Hey had a amazing experience with Baxter this time around. Micheal Anderson did a top notch job selling and providing me with all needed information with the sale of my new vehicle!!

Kurt Rinke pretty much did everything for me! It was the easiest transaction ever. I never even had to step foot into the dealership until my car was ready to drive off the lot. He will be my car guy for life!
