Purchased a new vehicle through Baxter Ford West Dodge. After the hassle of trying to deal with multiple car dealers in finding a new car, Baxter customer service was a refreshing change to the standard issues when dealing with a dealership. Mike Farrell honored pricing a previous dealership tried to tell us was no longer available. Financing was done quickly, questions answered honestly, and all around a pleasant experience. Would recommend this particular branch of Baxter to everyone.

This is a story about a dealership taking advantage of my elderly grandma. My grandma purchased her dream car from this dealership, only she drives it and she only puts on about 4000 miles a year and insists on having it maintained at the Ford in Omaha she bought it from, which is an hour drive for any sort of maintenance.
This all started when the car needed a new strut? Or something like that. We scheduled the appointment over a month in advance under the pretense that the car would be dropped off first thing in the morning and completed before the end of the day. We made family plans to visit the Omaha Zoo and make it a day.
10 hours after dropping off the car we have head nothing from the mechanic at all, we call thinking it should be done and we should leave the zoo. Nope. They literally didn't touch it all day. They didn't have any rental cars either only SUVs, which my 70 year old grandmother has never drove before. So I had to drive her home, and she drove back to Omaha by herself 3 days later with great discomfort in an unfamiliar vehicle type.
Here's where it starts to snowball. The car was returned a short while later for some airbag recalls. My grandma tells me after getting home that her power seat up and down is broken, makes a horrible clicking noise. I called the dealer to set an appointment to replace the 1 gear for her seat. She gets there and they send her home again without fixing anything, because they need to order the part, a part they should have already had because they knew what they were fixing.
Unfortunately I can't attend with my grandma all the time, and when she went back the second time for the power seat it got really ugly.
They told my poor grandmother that the extended warranty she had bought for her car suddenly was expired and no good anymore.
They also told her that the entire seat, rails and all was necessary to replace, almost 2000$... 10% of the cars total value for a stripped gear in a power seat that other people have replaced themselves. A bold Faced Lie. Taking advantage of an elderly lady that dislikes confrontation... who was considering buying a newer Mustang with more advanced safety features in the near future.

Her trust with Ford has been eroded to the point she wants give up her dream car. I wish Ford would make it right. But the dealership at Baxter has been awful with it's customer service and maintenance. I'm of the opinion someone there deliberately abused her power seat up/down function. My grandmother's car is in pristine condition, absolutely nothing should be wrong. It seems there is always a new problem after they fix the one before. With the way my grandma treats her car, none of this should have been.

Most recently her Mustang returned with an extremely rough idle that shakes you from side to side like an old big block. It's a V6 that usually purrs like a kitten. So now the car is currently been fixed by the local mechanic and no longer a Ford dealership.
I wish Ford would step in and do something right when a dealership is abused a loyal customer...

Marques was super friendly and really worked with me to come to a deal I could agree with. He answered as many of my crazy questions he was able to and referred to someone else if he didn't know the answer himself. Chip was also super friendly and made me feel like he really cared whether or not I was getting what I wanted. He walked me through the financing in a way I was comfortable with and could understand. Although the whole experience of being a first time buyer was stressful and overwhelming, I felt as though these two made it a better experience overall.

Once again I am extremely happy with Baxter Ford! On Tuesday night got a flat tire on my 2012 Ford Fusion. I called Chad from finance to make sure that this would be covered under my warranty. He said it was and then offered to give me the number for the company that would come and help me change the tire. He was so pleasant and helpful! I also had a great experience with Aaron in the service department. He was professional and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The warranty company said they would not cover my claim and he did research, called them again and got it covered. He was very friendly and I left Baxter with a smile. :-) Thanks gentlemen! We will continue to use Baxter!

I have a fleet of 4 leased cars and I have bought and cycled through every model imaginable from Toyota to Nissan to Subaru to Mercedes etc... Baxter Ford is BY FAR my favorite dealership. I purchased a hassle free Ford F150 XLT with full transparency from the dealership Ambrose and Brian were phenominal sales reps to work with; they were knowlegeable, prompt, and courteous. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and he pointed out differences in the models to help me narrow down my search. He was also very accommodating when I had questions and concerns. I had purchased an additional protection package. The process was incredibly smooth and easy. When I went to pick up my car following the completion of the protective detailing, John Carnes spent some time and walked me through some of the technological features in my vehicle that I had questions on. Baxter Ford in Elkhorn, Brian and Dustin specifically, took such very good care of us when we purchased a vehicle for our daughter. There were some issues with our vehicle and they handled everything so very professionally and did everything that we could have asked of them to make sure we got a vehicle that suited our needs. They followed up with us and were very understanding and attentive with all of our questions. This was one of our first experiences buying a car from a dealership. All I can say is "wow!" I have purchased so many cars over the years and have always hated going to the dealer only to experience pushy salespeople, managers, and finance staff! So my last two cars I pretty much bought on-line (sight un-seen) but was let down quite a bit with overpromised options, and missing equipment (another story!) So I decided this time for my new ride I would take my time and do some research on my own. The F150 is what I want! After driving through a few Ford dealers Baxter Ford was the only dealer that treated me with respect and didn't have sales staff that were pushy! David Brock was the first guy that approached me with a firm hand shake! He truly knows Ford trucks up and down and understood I was doing some research before a upcoming purchase. I was having an issue with the brakes on my 2011 Ford Edge. I am fairly new to Omaha and hadn't really found a car place to call my own yet. Baxter was the closest dealership, so naturally that's where I went as I was scared to death driving with bad brakes... even had a close call on the way there . I'm so glad that's where I went! Brian Murray was my service advisor, and he took excellent care of me! They were very busy and there was a short wait, but my child enjoyed playing in the play area. They weren't going to be able to get me in until Saturday and had no more courtesy vehicles on the lot. As a single parent I couldn't go without a safe vehicle, so Brian went to bat for me and made sure to get me a safe vehicle to use. I felt like he really listened to me and understood my concerns and went above and beyond for me to make sure that I had safe transportation! It made a really huge, positive impression on me, and I'm happy to say that I've found my new car place! Thanks Brian!

Salesman was Dave Brock. Having purchased 8 vehicles from Baxter over the past several years, I expected and received the type of professionalism I am used to at the dealership. Although this was my first time with Dave, normal salesman no longer works there, it was no different from my previous experiences. He knew his product and what I expected of/from him. Product was a 2016 F350 Diesel crew cab. They handled the change over of equipment (air bags, 5th wheel hitch, etc) from my F-250 and the add on's I requested. Great experience as usual. A wonderful place to buy a vehicle!

Incredible place to get service... The website is antiquated, can't schedule simple things like an oil change, unless you go out two weeks. Walk-in wait is 90-120 minutes.

I recently Purchased a vehicle from Baxter Ford on West Dodge and simply cannot say enough about how great our experience was. We showed up after hours on a Friday night and Scott still took the time to let us take the car for a test drive. As it was after hours the finance department had closed for the day and he encouraged us to go look at the other cars on our list the next morning before making our final decision. We couldn't find another vehicle even close to the one at Baxter and so we made our way back. Scott let us take it for another test drive and was just amazing to work with. When we went back to sign papers with Chip he was extremely honest and up front and was also so easy going and awesome to work with. I highly recommend Baxter Ford out at West Dodge if you're in the market for a new vehicle. They will treat you right.

I had such a great experience at Baxter, Justin Johnson is amazing! I got a car the same day i walked in. When i went to Baxter i went in wanting to trade my car which was a 2001 Jeep Cherokee in for something more reliable and safe manly for my daughter, Justin knew exactly what cars would fit into what i was looking for. He put me into a 2014 Ford Escape which has been such a great car for my family. I am so happy that my mother recommended them to me, i had such a bad experience with the place i bought my Jeep from that i would never recommend anyone going to Carhop, everytime i would fix something on the car, something else would break or fall apart. I actually felt confident leaving Baxter & i knew Justin was not just another salesperson i felt like he actually cared about my situation and that is why im giving 5 stars. My first vehicle had several problems, so I had to get another vehicle. Its having problems too. The car I traded in never gave me problems, I wish I never went to Baxter. I bought the extended warranty and am using it, but everytime I have to find my own transpotation while it is being repaired. On top of all that my in transits are out because I have to pay taxes on both of the vehicles to get my plates. Again, I wish I never went to Baxter.

I need to get something off my chest: I cannot endorse the services at Baxter West Dodge. Their staff is careless when it comes to keeping your vehicle safe, and I encourage you to look elsewhere for a more capable and thoughtful car dealership.

On Thursday, July 2nd, I received a call from Baxter about someone breaking into my prized 2016 Ford Mustang. I left it in their care for some repairs, believing they would take every precaution to keep my car safe. After receiving that call, I immediately stopped what I was doing and headed straight to Baxter.

After arriving and inspecting my car, I noticed suspicious elements break-in. No glass was broken, and the locks were not tampered with; it was clearly left unlocked. It appeared that someone easily broke into my car, damaged my AC controls, and stole my amps and stereo system in my trunk.

A service representative and a mechanic attempted to explain their fault away, claiming that a break-in on Baxter s property was equivalent to a break-in at a Walmart parking lot. But it doesn t take an expert to realize that s just not true. A respectable dealership like Baxter West Dodge should ensure that your vehicle is cared for and repaired when left on their premises, unlike at a Walmart, where you park, buy what you need,and leave, all within an hour. This response was completely inappropriate and apathetic.

I asked for the manager, Ronnie Menicucci, hoping he would provide better customer service and answers. Unfortunately, Baxter seems to only employ indifferent people who don t take responsibility for the actions of their business. The service representative, mechanic, and Ronnie all urged me to file this under my insurance, even though they are clearly at fault for this break-in.

Ronnie later called, starting our conversation with a bad attitude. I asked Ronnie if they have cameras on the premises, but he admitted that the cameras at Baxter West Dodge are fake, saying that Baxter is working on that. He also said, Do you really think we can afford to pay for any incidents after hours?

During the call, Ronnie suggested that someone broke into my car with a slim jim, but that couldn t have been the case. After the service work was completed, I noticed a layer of dust on the car that showed no struggle or an attempt at breaking in, so it s clear that no one tampered with my car to get in: it had to have been unlocked.

But it doesn't end there. The day of the break in, Baxter called me after filing a police report, not before. They did this because they didn t want me talking with the police. They knew that the car was not tampered with and the door was unlocked.

I want to share my experience at Baxter West Dodge and their staff because I don t want you to go through the same issues I went through. I urge you to not support them, and instead support a business that cares about their customers.

If I had one complaint it would be that the finance department seemed understaffed as it took longer than it should have. Vehicle was in and ready for us to sign and go but still took 3 hours to get out.

My husband needed to find a reasonably priced used 4x4 pickup and we weren't sure where to go. A friend of mine had recently gone to Baxter Ford and worked with Jeff L so we gave them a try. Jeff was patient and knowledgeable and worked hard to find us something that would fit in our low end price range and tight budget. He was very personable and never pushy which is hard to find at most dealerships. We found something that worked for us and Jeff was there to help us through the whole process. Really, really disappointed in Baxter. Had been looking at a car on their website for couple weeks and decided to go down and take a serious look at it. Drove an hour and a half from out of town to look at the vehicle. When we arrived we were greeted by a young guy who it was actually his first day. He was very pleasant and was as helpful as they allowed him to be. They could not find the car we went to see. No one seemed to know where it was or when it would be coming back and that was very strange. There was no straight answer. Took a similar car out for a drive after they had a hard time finding the keys for it. At that point we were interested in seeing about making a deal on the car. The guy helping us was trying so hard and seemed to have zero help and support from the staff and was trying his best to get things rolling. It was a very slow process. From there it went downhill very quickly. The trade in offer on my car was laughable. I know my stuff, I know the car, I know the value and when I saw the trade offer I was already half out of my seat headed for the door. And then I saw the "deal" on the car we were looking at. AFTER incentives taken off it was $8,000.00 MORE than it was listed on their webpage. Yes 8 THOUSAND after incentives. This guy who was trying so hard to help ended up coming back and they had the pricing wrong on their website. Funny thing is that said they knew about it - it had been wrong (it had been that same price for over 2 weeks because we kept looking at it online) and they meant to get it corrected and told us they actually had a call from a customer angry over the information when they got the same run around. The car had no window sticker or any pricing in it at all. So long story short - we wasted gas driving 3 hours round trip to look at this car, not to mention the time wasted at the dealership which resulted in pretty much an entire day wasted. I was extremely disappointed in the dealership for turning a new person loose and seemed they were giving this poor guy the run around and not the support he needed to be successful and for knowing there was such a BIG error and not getting it fixed. Apparently there is a disclaimer on their webpage which states prices may not be accurate. So I thank you all for a big waste of time and gas, and for leaving an impression on me that will not be forgotten. And you just might want to get that correction made on your webpage or at least realize how many people look online for vehicles and be up front with them about the error - would save a lot of valuable time - yours and your potential customers!
