I didn't even want to write a review because I'm not sure if it's worth my time and the inconsiderate and rude employees here do not care. I decided to write this to save another girl from going through my experience with Apropros. I went to Apropros 3 times throughout my dress shopping experience. Day one, I found "the dress" though I wasn't prepared to order that day so they said they'd hold it for me for up to two weeks and I could come back and get it. That sounded great for me. I came back maybe 6 days later with friends to show them the dress and when I got there, they said it was already sold and that they never told me they can hold dresses. Which is wrong because I was told by a sales associate that they could and watched the dress be put on a separate rack off of the floor of other dresses. Whatever, I didn't care too much because after they told me they sold the dress they said they were saving for me, I found another dress that i loved even more. I left the store and came back the next day with my parents to purchase the dress. The next day, were in store and I decide on this dress. As I was standing on the pedistol I was wondering if my dress came in any other colors just so I could see them and make sure the color and style was exactly what I wanted. When I said this, a sales associate began telling me the similar styles and colors that were made like my dress. She described one design and when she said it, another person said "No, someone from your school alresdy has that dress" I tried on, fell in love with and was about to purchase a dress very similar to a dress that someone else from my school had and nobody told me until I was about to make the final decision? I remember trying on a dress previously and they said "no you can't get that someone from your school has a similar one" I appreciate that they do this to avoid anyone from getting the same dress but they told me as I was making my final decision. I go to a very small school and I knew that it would look ridiculous if I was wearing a similar dress to someone else and it would be obvious too. I began to get emotional as the dress I had my heart set on was no longer an option for me as I looked around the store for anything I'd love as much. At this point, I was looking through the racks as an employee walked up to me and said "I don't know why you're crying it's not a big deal" and then walked away. At this point I was so angry with these people I decided to get my dream dress dispite the horrible way I was treated and that my dress would be similar to another at my prom. When we go to purchase the $700 dress, they told us there's a chance I could be wearing the sample dress other girls have tried on countless times. I did not like this and neither did my parents, the ones paying for my dress, so we asked because I'm getting a sample dress, could we get a discount. They said no. We paid $700 with a chance I'm getting a sample dress. Since I order my dress, it has been 2 months. We called and FINALLY got through to someone and they told me my dress would be available May 5th. I called on May 4th to confirm before making the hour drive to Albany but when I called the second time, they told me they have no idea when my dress is coming in. My prom is in 3 weeks, they have no idea when my dress is coming, I still have to get it fitted, match it to my boyfriends tuxedo, get my hair and makeup consultation done to make sure it matches and get shoes. The moment they call and say my dress is in, I am going there and getting it and they will NOT be doing my fitting. I will not leave my dress in the hands of these people again. They have made my entire prom experience incredibly stressful and hectic. I am delayed on doing so many things because my dress is still not in two months later. If my dress is not in by next week (2 weeks before my prom) I will be calling and getting a full refund and going somewhere else. PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS HERE THEY ARE SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL THEY RUN A HORRIBLE BUSINESS AND I REGRET SPENDING MY TIME, MONEY AND EFFORT
