I never leave bad reviews about a business, but the unprofessionalism I have experienced at Apropos was too much not to speak out on. I ordered a new dress from this business the first week of April of this year and paid in full. Apropos called me on June 29th stating that my dress was in and ready to pick up. I went to the store on June 30th to look at the dress. There were loose strings all over the dress, the belt loop was broken and the brand tag did not look like it had been professionally sewed in. It looked as if this was a sample/floor dress that had been tried on numerous times. The owner claimed that this is how the dress was received from the manufacture. She also stated that these conditions were normal and that they could fix them. The owner then offered to give me another customer's dress that she was expecting to come in later that day (I repeat Another Customer s Dress). Giving me another customer's dress was the only alternative offered by the owner, no refund was provided. I have read many other reviews where customers have claimed and/or believe that they were sold a used floor sample dress from Apropos instead of the brand new dress that they ordered and paid full price for. I left the store that day without the dress that Apropos tried to sell me and immediately filed a dispute with my credit card company. I have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the AG s Office which I would recommend to anyone else who has experienced the same thing. The level of unprofessionalism and, quite frankly, fraudulent acts by this business is disgusting.
