All State Management Review

The best HOA management I ever deal with, all the time answer, very friendly, Specially David Bar, good people's, and very Business effective, will refer them to all my friends and colleagues

AllState were great to deal with. Our rep was David Bar, and I was particularly impressed with how quickly he would get back to me on any inquiry I threw his way. He was knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with, and a breath of fresh air after our previous HOA management company, who got all the financials wrong consistently (and will not be named here).

This is an edit to my original review and change for the better of my original rating.

David and one his staff did work to rectify the issue, so for that I appreciate the the effort. But I still feel that the 2 times I had to reach out to them, the response time, attention and content of what was needed was inadequate.

David seems to respond quickly but his staff are un-responses and lack responsibility to correct issues. I've had issues in the past with them and a few years later again. Due to their failure to respond and long delays in communications I accrued a late fee for a missed payment of an HOA fees. Some reason the bank they used returned a check and the reasoning is unclear. It took some time to fix but again because of their delayed response and lack of attention it took longer than it should have.

Since they don't send notice of account status, I had no idea there was a late fee. Here's the response from some anonymous employee.

"We do not alert homeowners if their account is delinquent unless the Board requests it. Your statement is available online, and we recommend checking it regularly when you pay by check to ensure your payments are being received.

This person assumes that we all know there's online access.

So for horrible communication, failure and denial to accept responsibility for issues, and poor customer service I'll be voting to fire them as management.

We have been working with Allstate for a while and as the president of the HOA I can tell you that I have never seen such a nice company before. Our manager Kelli Weaver is an amazing young lady. She is super fast in everything. Her ability in coordination and project management has really surprised me. I am an engineer and I manage various projects at work, but I had never seen anyone one like Kelli who can do multiple tasks at the same time. I was also lucky to work with some other people like Ben Bar, David Bar, Ben Coleman and Jessica Norman. They are all amazing people. Changing our management company to Allstate HOA Management was the best decision.

Allstate provides great service in an industry that could use a lot more. We've recently started working with them, and Joey is a pleasure to work with. He always responds promptly and professionally to our questions and requests. It is clear that he dedicates time and effort to make sure owners feel informed and comfortable, and everyone agrees that our HOA is in better hands now. Allstate management has great service and is fast at responding to any problems that I have had in the past. The company is very professional and I make recommendations to any family and friends to move into any of the properties managed by Allstate Hoa. Customer reviews for every property management company will vary upon personal experience. People with bad experiences are more likely to "rate" these companies poorly. As such, giving someone such a glowing review online is seldom. But there is no reason to deny excellence in service. Rarely, a property manager comes along who is actually dedicated to the cause. Itay is one of those rare cases. The work that he puts in and the time and thoughtfulness that he exerted were clinical. He made sure that there were no gaps in paperwork, that we had everything we needed, and that we knew we could reach out to him at any point in time. His responsiveness was only exceeded by his patience. He knew the property backwards and forwards and did not hide a single detail.

Jeff Gorman and Jessica Norman at Allstate HOA Management are on it ! We have had a couple HOA mgmt companies in the past 15 years at my condo building. I am on the Board of Directors for our HOA. We decided on a change after I had conversations with Allstate HOA Mgmt. regarding an individual unit I manage in another entire building they manage for that HOA. I realized how efficiently they resolved the issue affecting the individual unit I manage. On more than one occasion. I discussed with my other two Board of Directors at my HOA. We switched and signed on with Allstate HOA Mgmt. Very impressed. Knowledgeable. Great contractor contacts and all around easy to communicate with for most anything that comes up. We hired Allstate for one of our properties and was paired with Gregg Sauber, who is awesome. So awesome in fact, his name requires the additional g just to contain all the excess awesomeness he exudes. Gregg has been a bona-fide life-saver, adroitly navigating all the property s affairs with a high level of professionalism and discretion. A thousand times more familiar with the area, Gregg appears to possess an inexhaustible Rolodex of reliable and trustworthy vendors for all jobs, big or small, and especially for those inopportunely timed emergencies where it seems impossible to find anyone immediately available. He effectively tackles every manner of issue, from low-level, every-day maintenance time-sucks to the more sensitive tenant-related concerns needing a particularly diplomatic touch. In summation, Gregg Sauber is the man.

Since our HOA started being managed by Ben and David about 1.5 years ago, it has been a night and day difference from our previous manager. They are extremely knowledgeable about every variety of situation our property has been faced with. In addition, though they undoubtedly have a plethora of properties to manage, I never feel neglected and always can be assured a prompt reply to questions.

I called Allstate HOA Management and was lucky enough to speak with Ben Bar. I had multiple questions about HOA management services and pricing. Ben was super nice, was very patient, I didn't feel rushed. What is most important is my HOA isn't even in his companies territory , but he took the time to speak with me. Fast, efficient, and easy to deal with.
I had to retrieve some documents from Allstate HOA Management in order to process a client's condo unit purchase and David Bar was not only helpful, but quick and direct. Usually HOA management companies take their time and charge unbelievable fees just to fill out a questionnaire. I had better service and a professional person on the other end to answer my questions. I believe this is the ideal example of what an HOA management company should be!

Allstate HOA Management saved us!!! We are a 6 unit condo and they helped us with so many things such as accounting and delinquencies, finding contractors, mediating HOA members and much more!!! Our company works frequently with Allstate HOA Management. This company is very efficient and friendly. By far, one of the best management companies we have ever worked with!

This is a horrible management company. They kept making accounting mistakes on my statements over and over again. I contacted Lisa and made the correct payment. Next month they kept adding the late fee and sent the account to an attorney. I talked to a nice attorney who went through the statement and made the correction again. Next month late fee appears again. I think they hire people that don t have the right experience. They have been our new management company and in less than a year have replaced the representative to our building three times. No one seems to stay at this company. They will not be our management company for much longer. I will certainly see to it.

I rarely find the time to post reviews, but EHM and David deserve my attention and accolades. They repeatedly go out of their way to make sure that their properties and tenants get the attention they deserve. Kelli is just amazing! Being a board member can be very time consuming and exhaustive, but Kelli really helps us navigate! I requested condo documents from David Bar a little before 5pm on a Monday afternoon; 5 minutes later I started receiving all the requested condo docs back from David.

Best part was that there was no upfront fee to complete a lengthy Condo Questionnaire/Certification for a purchase; when most management companies charge between $150.00 to $250.00 plus rush fees. I was really impressed.

Allstate HOA Management is a great Homeowners Association Property Management Company - top to bottom. Homeowners Associations are not easy to manage I know from personal experience. I have 20 years in property management and insurance and worked with a lot of property managers. The managers and staff at Allstate are fast to respond, knowledgeable, and stays on top of their properties.

I am an owner of a unit in a 15 unit condominium building. Allstate has always been responsive to our needs despite the relatively small size of the building. Highly recommended!

These people are just professionals. We get updates on our financials on time, and not all HOA management companies use GAAP, nor even know what GAAP means. These people know what they are doing! Allstate HOA Management - definitley recommended!

This write-up is a long time coming. But then again, it takes a while to get to know a person, to recognize the attributes one has and to determine whether one will be dependable over the long run.

Owning a condominium can be the best of two worlds. You get to own a piece of property ... and you get to leave the day-to-day, month-to-month handling of affairs (as they pertain to the common areas) to someone else. The trick is to find a good HOA management company and even more key is making sure one s association s rep will be there for the HOA.

Allstate Management s Jessica Norman is just such an individual.

In the few months she has been our HOA s rep, she has proved herself more than capable of handling the myriad of concerns and issues that have cropped up to keep our almost 60-year-old building operating. She has not flinched once, is always communicative, and has the HOA s best interests at heart.

When Jessica took over our building, she did so when many demanding and time-consuming projects were in mid-stream, and she did so with ease and finesse which made the transition so smooth and easy. That in of itself proved to be fortuitous for our HOA (because we knew the demands our building would put on her time) and a godsend (because we knew the demands our building would put on her time).

This may seem like a small fact to some but it rates a # 1 spot on my list: Jessica stays in touch with the HOA (its Board and owners). She doesn t leave us hanging, waiting for answers. If a situation will take her a couple or few days to get answers, she lets us know so we are not left dangling. Communication, a can-do attitude, willingness to help, and a good, solid knowledge base of California s laws, etc. pertaining to condominiums make Jessica a great HOA management rep! We are so lucky to have her in our corner.

Our HOA has been with Allstate for a few years now and we are extremely pleased with the services they provide. We found them by doing an online search for management companies that worked exclusively with condominiums. We had been with our previous company for over 15 years but we increasingly realized the company was not responsive and felt that it may have been due to our property having only 12 units. Upon meeting with Allstate we immediately decided to transfer our business to them and we have not regretted it for one moment! The online owner and board portals are efficient and very convenient. While everyone at Allstate is helpful and professional, we work specifically with Erika M. and we can't say enough about her. She responds to requests and inquires quickly and thoroughly. She is also personable, very skilled at problem-solving, always taking a solution-focused approach, and overall a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them and recently referred them to a realtor I know who inquired about whether or not I was satisfied with our management company. If you are looking for a management company that provides outstanding service at all levels of interaction, look no further this is the place.

I own a unit in a HOA managed by Allstate HOA Management. Itay is the property manager for my HOA. He's always responsive and polite when my tenants have any issues and contact me to reach out to him. Even though I don't live in my unit, I'm relieved to know that any issues I have will always be addressed by our board and Itay.

Allstate HOA is the new management for Lakewood Terrace here in Lakewood, CA. I am a resident here, but so far I am having a pretty bad feeling about Allstate HOA s service because nothing I pointed out to the rep, Verta Mitchell, has been take care of. There is an abandoned Hyundai in the parking lot for more than a month covered in spider web, and the parking lot gate has been broken since last Friday (July 17) and it's Monday evening as I write.
Last Friday when I told Verta about the abandoned car, she went off on me and rushed me off. Later on I called her back and she said "Of course you need to be rushed off! I have a collapsed line here that takes priority!". I am glad that Verta is prioritizing her tasks, but that kind of unprofessional attitude makes me wonder what else is going on in this organization. None of my messages regarding the broken gate has been responded. I hope her manager, Ben Barr, would spend some time retaining Verta about her customer service manner, because Verta's unapologetic, un-empathetic attitude doesn't speak well about Allstate HOA Management. Allstate HOA Management pays for fake reviews. BEWARE!!

This is a nightmare of a company to work with. We lived in and rented a condo across the street for a year and a half, never once met the HOA agent David Barr. He did everything over email communication, including viewing the apartment, giving us the keys to move in, etc. That should have been a red flag immediately.

On our move out, we had to do all of the apartment showings to prospective tenants, again he never once came to do his job. There were knocks on the door on Sunday mornings with unscheduled visits, and an almost harrasment level questioning from the new tenants (they had our email and phone number and asked us questions David never answered for them).

We left after move out day never having done a walk through with the David, much to the new tenants dismay. He left zero crossover time for the new tenants go have the apartment professionally cleaned. We of course did the best we could to clean as we move, but we are not professional cleaners. It was also never professionally cleaned upon our move in.

By EOD the new tenants were ringing our door bell and panicking about the lack of communication from David. We also had to hand deliver them the keys. Nightmare.

After our move out, we start getting contacted by a man Mario Flores. They tried to nickel and dime us for everything in the apartment to steal our security deposit, worst of all claiming we filled the garbage area, which was a mess from another tenant having gotten their rugs replaced the same day.

They never mailed us our deposit, and we took them to small claims court over our deposit, which is $3700. They never showed, of course. We won the case, and are owed our entire deposit, but of course the company is still radio silent even with a follow up email from us.

We will be taking further legal actions to retrieve our money and time wasted dealing with the incompetentency of this company.

The manager of 137 Spalding; Itay, is by far one of the best managers there is. He has experience in what he does. I lived at Spalding for a year and it was great he was always available, he knows how to get things done in a timely manner and the complex was always well maintained. As a tenant of a apartment complex I really appreciated that he would keep us updated on what was going on in the building, whether it was by email or calling us.

I'm the owner of Top Notch Locksmith and I do lots of work with Allstate HOA Management. The Allstate HOA Management team is always fast and friendly to respond and they don't cut corners.

I needed a condo questionnaire for a refinance, and I got it back immediately. I work with a lot of HOA management companies and it is very refreshing to get something so important completed immediately. By accident I sent the wrong questionnaire and David helped out a lot by allowing me to send the correct one and filling out another questionnaire out. I am very thankful, this loan was sitting around for a long time (non related issues to HOA) and b/c of David's promptness we were able to get this loan off our desks and help the borrower.

I usually don t write reviews but working with Itay Zigdon has been a pleasure. He is so professional and understanding. He really goes out of his way to help you in any problem or concerns.

Our manager, Itay, is really good about responding and answering questions. I provided Itay with list of concerns, in which he responded immediately, addressing each one patiently and politely one by one, thereby relieving my family of all concerns. He is good at explaining and informing us of all safety guides and regulations and is on top of any issues going on in the complex.
