I had a problem with my heat not turning off. It was Thanksgiving Day & A1 sent a tech out. He couldn't find a problem with the unit
but the very next morning my heater would turn off again. They sent Clarence yesterday & he immediately listened to what I told him was happening. A1 replaced a bad sequencer on my unit February 1st of 2016. Clarence replaced again free of charge. My heat is working great again thanks to him! Keep up the good work & I will definitely use A1 again. Clarence is truly an asset to A1's company!

My wife and I were fortunate to receive service from A#1 Air Technician, Mr. Brycen A. Cox when our condenser unit gave out on us. He was very professional and took the time to help us explore our options when it was discovered that our repairs would be costly. His concern for our comfort compelled him to call around to see how we could get a window unit until our main unit could be repaired. Mr. Cox helped us in securing a window unit, and then installed the unit in our bedroom window. We appreciate the depth of service and concern for our well being that Mr. Cox displayed for us. Me and my wife are very grateful for the professionalism and sacrifice in time that he devoted on our behalf.

Do not use this company. They do not know what they are doing.
After my air went out I called them to come fix it. With the first guy saying my a/c was out because of my compacitor and the second guy saying my control board needed to be replaced. I decided to get a second opinion, so I called another company and got it fixed within 10 minutes of their arrival. Turns out it was just some faulty wiring that wasn't signaling my a/c to turn on.
So like I said this company does not know what they are doing when it comes to an a/c.

From the first time we called A#1 Air and Mr. Palmer came out, we have had a great experience. Mr. Palmer gave us the straight scoop and let us know what needed to be fixed. There was no pressure to have service through A#1 Air at the time, since we had a home warranty. We had the repair done thinking all was well and 2 MONTHS LATER our AC goes out. Mr. Tate came out and gave us the correct information about what had really been done to our system and gave us our options. Needless to say, we decided to go with A#1 Air and have a new system installed the correct way. Mr. Juarez and the other installer (wish I knew his name - he was great as well!) did a wonderful job with the installation and have given us peace mind that we made the right choice in A#1 Air. You now have a customer for life and I will make sure to recommend you to others. Thank you so very much for having such a professional staff, quality service, and a company that actually stands behind their product!!

Wow. Just had an amazing experience with these people. Had AC unit go out. The thermostat said "Fault" which usually means an electrical issue. Called A#1 and they sent out a team that were more salesmen than repairmen. They said that they would do a complete system check and they would confidently diagnose any and all problems. They said there would be all sorts of guarantees, such as "apples to apples" price guarantee, quality workmanship guarantee, $500 no frustration guarantee, and a 1 year 100% satisfaction guarantee. They said, after checking the ENTIRE system that I need to replace the coil on a three ton unit that was 6 years old, and gave me an estimate for $3,003. The price seemed high but there was the "apples to apples" price guarantee. So a single tech came out the next day and replaced the coil in just under 2 hours. Later, I checked online and found out that the retail price of the coil part for my make and model AC unit was just under $400. This was confirmed at two retail websites.
Well two days later the AC unit went out. The thermostat said "Fault" and the same EXACT problem arose again. I called A#1 and they sent two techs out. Right away they brought me to the outside unit, and said: "Here is your problem! These wires are obviously fried!. The wired are rubbing up against the metal box!" It was obvious to me that the wires were fried, and I know the original techs had checked out that wire box when they did their system check. When I got upset since I had just paid $3,000 to fix the "problem", they started backtracking and hemming and hawing. They got on their phones and were talking to HQ. Later, they came in and said they had it running. I asked them if they had fixed the wiring problem and they said they had not, even though I had TOLD them to fix the problem. I went outside and looked and apparently they just wrapped some tape around the wires instead of rewiring the box. Needless to say I sent a scathing email to A#1.
Got a call from their "peacemaker" today. First, I brought up the exorbitant cost for replacing the coil. Parts: less than $400. Labor: less than two hours. Charging the system, 5 pounds at $75 a pound, or $375. I said that if labor was at $200 an hour, they overcharged me by at least $1,000. What about the "apples to apples" price guarantee? He would only say that their profit is only 10% and that they could not charge less. At their rates, the LABOR WOULD BE $1,100 AN HOUR!!
Then we talked about the negligent inspection by their original people. They gave a 100% satisfaction guarantee that their work would be done professionally and properly. But they "missed" and failed to diagnose an obvious electrical problem that showed obviously burned wires, a PROBLEM THEY REFUSED TO FIX BOTH THE FIRST AND SECOND TIME AROUND! When I asked why did they not fix the obvious problem he said that is "separate" and will cost more. So they failed to properly diagnose and inspect the system but instead sold me a coil that was not the REAL problem! THEY HAVE YET TO FIX THE REAL PROBLEM!
I said that the unit will probably go out again in a few days and he agreed. WOW. He continued saying how they only make a 10% profit, never addressing what was a reasonable hourly rate would be. So for them to make a 10% profit they must charge $1,100 an hour. He had no comment about the "apples to apples" price guarantee. Just kept saying they only make a 10% profit. Must have said it 10 times. He offered a refund of $250, even though the express written guarantee had a $500 No Frustration Guarantee. I was obviously overcharged and they failed to honor any of their guarantees that touched on the issues. Finally he said "would you like us to come out and pull out the coil?" At that point I hung up. Guarantees dishonored, grossly overcharged, refused to answer basic questions like what is a reasonable hourly rate, negligent diagnosis, unnecessary repairs, and no closer to real repair than when the problem first arose. I will be taking them to small claims court and I will publish the verdict.

Andy provided great service at my home today. I have always had great technicians come to my home. I have called at midnight and had someone at my home by 6 AM to fix my air conditioner in the middle of the summer.

I purchase their service plan each year and a technician comes out twice a year to service the unit. Having a service plan also helps with the cost when there is a repair. I have had them servicing my unit for 11 years!

Our sales representative followed up and ensured that the inspections on our other units were completed as promised! Excellent follow-through. We appreciate the hard work from the A-1 team.

We have never had an issue with the customer service from A#1 Air; but we have had issues with a defective unit, which was finally replaced, under warranty, in December 2014.

I ve been in contact with one of their reps (Dave) for over a year now regarding the purchase of a replacement system for our upstairs unit for our home. Of course, when the weather is at its worst our downstairs system (the one that was replaced in December 2014) began having issues again. I contacted Dave and he made sure that we were put on the top of the list for someone to come out to take a look at what was wrong with our downstairs unit.

We were surprised when Dave, along with his assistant Alan showed up to diagnose the problem with our system. While they were here they looked at the layout of our home, looked at the intakes and returns, looked at the duct work, and then made some suggestions that could possibly make our a/c and heating system work more efficiently for us.

They spent the time needed to make sure all of our questions were answered and our concerns were addressed. We made the decision to add a zone management system to our downstairs unit and replace the old upstairs unit as well. Alan even took the time to write some specific directions that will be given to the installers, so there should not be any questions about what was discussed and what is required for our home. We understand that the manufactured goods don t always work their best, but it s good to know that with A#1 Air will provide the customer service to try to make a unpleasant situation better.

We discovered we had a gas leak and promptly called A#1 Air. Jeff L. answered the call and was able to come right away. He has been to our home before and has always been so courteous and efficient. He quickly found the leak and repaired it and kept me informed during the whole process. He also checked our gas appliances and then checked everything again. We appreciate Jeff so much and we would never use anyone else except A#1 Air!

I decided to give A#1 Air, Inc. a chance rather than use our home warranty company. This was the BEST decision I ever made. Obviously, it cost more than using my home warranty company, but using A#1 Air for my A/C needs was worth every penny. The technician that showed, Andy V., was very knowledgeable and courteous...excellent customer service skills. He explained everything that was done to get my 2 units up and running properly. Andy even took the extra time to make sure my 2 A/C units were working properly before he left. A great service technician along with excellent customer service is priceless. A#1 Air, Inc. has a customer for life because of techs like Andy V. Keep up the excellent work and keep hiring employees like Andy.

I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the tech who came out to look at our faulty unit. Sam did a wonderful job, went above and beyond what I expected, and was very helpful and respectful.

I was also incredibly impressed with the Comfort Advisor who came out the next morning to help us get a new system ordered. Toby was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and honest - he helped us find the right system for our needs, and I never felt pressured to purchase more than I was comfortable with.

A#1 was the only company to help me on a Saturday and since it was just a capacitor I only paid $59.00! ( I must admit, I cried!) My a/c went out in Aug during a Friday night. Other companies were either closed or too busy to help me.. one even told me OVER THE PHONE that my entire unit would have to be replaced!! I had heard of A#1 on channel 4 news and within an hour a tech was here and the unit was repaired ! I would recommend A#1 to anyone! Thanks, y'all!!

If I could give negative stars I would. They advertise great customer service but don't follow through. Purchased almost a $7,000 HVAC system from them, salesman sold on their excellent customer service through the whole thing. Well, today the system quit working. Called at 4 o'clock. Said they would get someone here "as soon as they can". Called at 7, was told the same thing. Was informed that meant, "after 10:30." Was called at 9:30 told someone was "finishing up a call and would call me in 20 minutes." Got another call at 11:05 saying they didn't know when someone could get here but would get me "first thing in the morning". Funny thing, wouldn't even give me a time frame of what that meant. All this while it's still over 80 in the middle of the night with an 8-month pregnant wife. Bottom line, I still don't have a working HVAC system and am still going on the promise that someone will be here "as soon as they can." Let's just say I'm not holding my breath. If I could buy from ANYONE else, I would.

When it was time to get preventive service, booking the visit was easy and choosing a day/time that worked for me was painless...I did not have to wait for days to get the visit. Recently i call for maintenance, and their tech Rocky Smith came, on time, professional, knowledgeable...no guessing, just tech diagnostics and solutions. Clearly this company cares and invest on building loyalty. Replacing the AC and heating is an investment, and I could not be happier with my decision

They were courteous and professional and answered all of the questions I had. When the job was complete, they cleaned up, took the time to go over all of the work that was done and showed me all about the system and thermostat. A#1 Air is the best in the DFW area. When our AC broke, we tried to go through our warranty and ended up with a company that made the problem worse and never called us back. Enter A#1 Air (who our family has used for years) and Toby - he was so helpful in explaining the issues we were having and helped us get a very good deal on a new unit. Plus, our warranty is through A#1 Air now, so we have a very reliable, trustworthy company to work with in the future. Our unit was replaced the very next morning. By the time the afternoon rolled around, we had a brand new working system, which was such a relief in the Texas heat. Toby was wonderful and I can't recommend him or this company enough.

I called them to take a look at a drain line that was clogged. They recommended substantial repairs varying from $500.00 to $4,000.00. I was skeptical so I contacted a second company to take a look. They solved the problem and charged me $100.00. Fortunately or unfortunately I am only out the $60.00 service fee that they charged to try to sell me somethings I don t need.

Our ac went out this morning and we called A1Air at 7 am. It is now 10 pm and 2, calls later (from myself and my husband), we still have not seen or heard from this company. About 3-4 months ago we purchased a whole new compressor system from them, spending over $3,000. The service man they contracted to do the work damaged our wall leaving a small hole and chipped paint in our family room. We spoke to their customer service TWICE and 3-4 months later we have never heard a word from them. We still have that hole in our family room.
At this writing, my 67 year old husband and I have been waiting 15 hours and made 2 follow up calls with ZERO help. On both of our calls the representative actually told us they had called both our cell numbers 2-3 times to follow up. We have had our cell phones next to us all day and have received other calls but not one call came from A#1 Air! Even if we had missed a call, there would be proof on our cell phones that we missed their call!
The television commercials promise excellent respond from the company and so far it has been a farce.

Johnny & Ricardo arrived on time. Extremely professional. Took time to explain the process and what I could expect for the time they were at my home.. These guys were very efficient, took their shoes off every time they came inside. While connecting my a/c drain, Ricardo noticed my sink drain needed repair, so he fixed it. He didn't tell me to call a plumber, he just did it. Best customer care ever. They even texted me an hour after they left just to make sure I was comfortably cool in my home. Who does that?

This just didnt pass the smell test. Technician first noted how ineffective the attic fan was. When I mentioned A1 installed it, he said it actually was a good idea to have one and it seemed to be working well. He made one repair, but then suggested another. When I told him I thought that repair had recently been done, he said "Oh yeah. I see that it has. I meant this repair." He then told me he could do it for 1000, 2000 or 3000. When I asked if I could get the records of past services provided, he cleaned up the paperwork and headed out, saying the up to 3000 repair wasnt essential. This od for my elderly mom's house, which I am caring for. It really upsets me that this might be the way A1 treats (or tips off) elderly clients.

This review is not for the technician that came out to my house. This review is for the dispatch department. I needed a technician to come out to my house Saturday 9/8/18. I scheduled my appointment after 8pm. At 10pm Saturday I had not heard anything from A1air. I called A1air to see what the status of my call was. A1air told me they had tried multiple times to call me and left voice mails. I told A1air I had no missed phone calls on my phone and no voice mails on my phone. I also scheduled an appointment to have some preventive maintenance done to my A/C unit. I scheduled the appointment for 9/10/18, appointment time between 8-12. And again the samething has happened again. No technician showed up, no phone call. So I call A1air again to see what the status of my appointment. A1air again proceeded to tell me they multiple attempts to contact me, and again I have no missed phone calls and no voice mails. I am still waiting for the missed phone calls and all the voice mails to show up on my phone. So now I have had to reschedule my appointment again. I will continue this review if all this happens again.

The technician Roy came out earlier than expected and was very informative with all options. He was clearly very experienced and gave me enough info and options to make a decision. I am happy with the service and signed up for a membership.
