As nearly all other reviews mention, this insurance company struggles with comminication. I don't have Traders coverage, but was hit by someone who does. The experience is wasn't great. Calls are not answered and voicemails are not returned. Supposedly the check was sent out but it never came. Still waiting for the issue to be resolved, but nobody will answer or return calls.

Update: Manager Chris took the time to call and make sure everything got taken care of quickly. I really appreciated his effort and professionalism.

I wouldn't even leave them 1 star! WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! Customer Service is a JOKE! A Traders insured driver came through a fence and totaled 4 vehicle including mine. This process has takin OVER a month and is still not completed. I am STILL waiting on them to make payment to my lien holder! Couldn't even get them to respond so they could get me a rental car! Come to find out that the agent that was dealing with our claim "took another postion" and wasn't on the claim anymore! Anybody going to let me know!? The person taking over should have called and for one introduced me letting me know what was going on and updated me about my claim!!!! Not to mention I just had a baby 2 months ago and a full time job. I NEED transportation! This company has caused my family & I A LOT of mental anguish!!!!!!!!!

Most horrible insurance company ever. Because of them I'm stuck with having to pay about $500 in tickets because the cencelled my policy without letting me know after I called them to let them know that my card was cancelled and was waiting for a new one. They said they don't collect cash and never told me they they were gonna cancel my policy until they get the new card details. Then I got pulled over that same night and I was told that my insurance was inactive. Ive been with them for almost 2 years now. Worst company ever. I'm leaving and never coming back

Traders. Makes stuff up as they go. They will tell you one thing and then switch it up. They just told me my accident will stay on for 5 years and my insurance will not go down now that it has been 3 years. When they told me to call back August of 2017 to have my rates reviewed since my accident falls off then.

Who would want to have this insurance to begin with. The only reason I had to deal with them is because one of their insurers hit my car. Even with that it is a nightmare to work with them. It took weeks to finally get my car fix. I had to travel to their office and speak to them personally.

An insured of Traders ran a red light and hit me. Very clear admitted fault, and police report clear and specific to others fault. Traders would not do anything for a month, ultimately I had to file a claim with my insurance to fix my vehicle. Quote "if you want your vehicle fixed any time soon you should file a claim with your insurance". The most unprofessional, incompetent, and difficult company to deal with. The individulal handling the claim, a Roy W. has 0 communication skills, 0 customer service skills, and any conversation I had resulted in my blood pressure skyrocketing. He speaks to people in a very condescending mannor. Pray you never come in contact with anyone associated with Traders insurance.

If there were negative stars I would have left the lowest negative star. My son was rear ended on the interstate by a person insured by Traders. He has called the adjuster 7 times with no return call. He talked to someone else at Traders, they emailed her telling her to call him. She did call, but he was in a meeting and couldn't answer the phone. She left a voicemail stating the person who hit him was not insured at the time of the accident. Her certificate of insurance states she has coverage from 1/20/2017 - 7/20/2017. The accident occurred within this coverage time. Then the adjuster stated, she only talks to the person who filed the claim. So a claim was filed....what? This company is extremely unprofessional. I hope the CEO of this company is taking these comments seriously. I will amend this review when I hear from someone at this company and my son's truck is fixed. #Disappointed

I been with Traders for 4 years , I have always paid on time. Due to covid -19 my job has been very hectic and sometimes I work 14 hours a day. I forgot to pay on Friday and I called the number to pay over the phone but the automated service said it was canceled on the 14th of October, which is funny because my insurance paper in my car says I have until the 18th to pay. How am I supposed to pay when you guys are closed or no customer service is open???? Now I have to pay for a whole new policy which really makes me upset . No I'm not happy and I guess you guys are just screwing me around and I don't appreciate it. Maybe you guys should make it where people can pay to renew online but unfortunately you don't. My daughter got hit by someone that has traders insurance over 3 weeks ago. Her car has been in the shop going on 3 weeks. The body shop called us over a week ago and said that traders said her car was totaled. We have not heard anything from Traders. This is very aggravating because she needs a car. I don t want to give this company any stars. So please take this as 0 stars. This has literally been the worst company I have ever worked with. There has been no communication with me or the dealership or the other persons insurance company since I had gotten into an accident. They have made no attempt to help the process move along. They have made me call everyone and basically do all the work for them. I m not sure what they are even doing because they have been zero help. I wanted to write this to warn everyone to stay away from this insurance company. It is only a headache working with them and they have only made the situation worse. I have had other insurance companies in the past who have been much better and I will be switching over after this miserable experience.

I want to add to my list of horrible experiences. Apparently, traders settled with the other drivers insurance company, but I was not informed. I actually had to contact the other insurance company to get any answers. Traders has not been any help and I haven t received a check or any information from my adjuster. This is ridiculous and I can not believe that a company I am paying to do a job is doing nothing.

Someone with Traders insurance hit and totaled my car. I never been in an accident or had to file a claim before, So like I always do, I goes to Google to read reviews on the company..Instantly I see all negative reviews and gets discouraged. I just told myself not to worry, and proceeded to file a claim.I only had Liability, and so did the person that hit me. However, my experience with Traders was NOTHING like these reviews..Everything was smooth sailing, and Fast! My adjuster Karl was very pleasant and polite. He moved VERY FAST with my claim. You know how normally you have to call places to touch base, I DID NOT have to do that with them. Each time THEY called ME. My accident was March 21st, and I was funded on April 3rd..They reimbursed me for the rental I paid for, my missed day of work etc. I could have not been more happier with their services.

I likely over reacted just from being desperate and without transportation the week before Christmas. They took care of us and got everything sorted incredibly quickly.

Final Update

Ok, so I definitely jumped the gun a bit on my first review. It turns out that they weren't stalling as I first previously thought. The reason that they had waited the extra 24 hours was that their driver had waited to respond and disputed their fault in the accident the day that I sent a copy of the police report.
(which I found out from my agent the day after writing my original review)

He speculated it is probably their company policy to allow them that time even if they know there is no evidence they could possibly provide to dispute the police officer who witnessed the accident, my testimony, and the police report.

Regardless, once that time period was up they made certain to reimburse us for our ride-sharing expenses that we accrued along with making a reservation for a car-rental while everything was sorted out.

Robyn took care of our medical side at an almost unheard of pace for insurance companies and was friendly, professional, and understanding of our original concerns.

All in all the friction was likely due to us being desperate to have transportation around Christmas, while I speculate they were following company policy to give their drivers an opportunity to present evidence which does make sense to me.

After that was settled everything went far smoother than I thought it would, and I am happy to eat crow to say that my original review is not an accurate portrayal of Traders Insurance in my experience. Robyn and Billy both took excellent care of us throughout this unfortunate incident.

Second Update

Billy who handled the automotive side of my claim was very professional. He was able to quickly get us to an offer that we both could agree on, while being very polite and respectful. At this point, I am waiting to wrap up the medical side of my claim, and I will then go into complete detail about the entirety of my experience from start to finish. Though at this point, I felt it necessary to highlight my positive experience with this particular adjuster.

After being hit by one of their drivers, they literally are playing games even after being given a police report CLEARLY stating that the fault of the accident was COMPLETELY and 100 PERCENT their drivers fault. Their agents are so shady that my insurance agent stated that he had never ever seen anything like it in all his years in the insurance business. The fact that they are allowed to even call themselves an insurance agency is an utter joke. As others have said, being struck by one of their drivers isn't the only 'wreck' you will have to endure after then being forced to deal with them. My agent and I are still being strung along by Robyn from Traders to this day.

I'm only rating 2 stars due to them handling my property damage claim in a decent time frame. I appreciated that, however now it seems like I've been waiting forever to hear something back in regards to my personal injury claim. I had to seek physical therapy and I will still continue to have back pain and feel uncomfortable. It sucks because I will miss out on job opportunities that require lifting or bending which is now a restriction I have upon me. It also sucks being a mom and a step mother figure to children that I can hardly interact with due to being hit by one of their drivers I'm beyond ready to settle and be done with this company.

Worst insurance ever! I got hit by one of their insured on October and the adjuster Lauren asked me to send pictures of damages in a text message then, she said to download an app and send same pictures again for an estimate. I had to call her over and over until she picked up or called back but I always had the same answer in a rude tone "I can't go on with the claim if my insured doesn't contact me and admits it was her fault, I suggest you contact your insurance". What???? The funny part is that my car was parked when the accident happened. Luckily, I was coming out of the store so, I managed to stop the driver from running away. Then, we both went to a nearest police station and made a police report of what happened that we both signed. That's why I never could understand why Janeth needed her client to admit it was her fault. So, since poor Janeth never made contact with her client I had no choice but to call my insurance. Now, my insurance company is dealing with their luck of professionalism and I have to wait for my $500 deductible to be refund.

However, Roxy did not give up on getting to the bottom of the issue at hand even after I told her that I would just go elsewhere.
