On May 26th (2017) I had a small fender bender, nobody was hurt but my car was totaled. The other driver readily admitted fault on the scene and was insured by Traders. My only complaint with Traders was some difficulty in getting a hold of them at times, but otherwise my experience with them was a professional and painless one. My adjuster was Karen Borberg and she was very patient and professional, answering all of my questions and explaining each step of the process. I downloaded the ItsaSnap app to send photos of my car and the damage so that it could be appraised; I was given an estimate for the worth of my car (which was less than the estimated cost of repair) and so I decided to sell it to them. I overnighted my title and power of attorney on June 21st, and I received my payment on June 29th. Overall the process took one month, and I am pleased with how everything went. When I saw the negative reviews on here I was a little wary, but fortunately my experience was not like those reported in said reviews.

The most incompetent insurance company and the absolute worst in customer experience. I was injured by someone insured by Traders back during the beginning of May. It s September and I still do not have my settlement so I can pay my physician. The agents and adjusters never call you back if you leave a message. I was lied to as well regarding the status of my file. I m beyond surprised they are still in business. No wonder they have a 1 star rating.
Andrea Cardenas is the best. She has done her job perfectly. She stayed with me on the line until my problem was solved.

So bein humble and taking advice to not seek medical for your whiplash amd 3 yr old daughters shoulders bc it wouldnt be cleared screwed me..though i dont have to attest to the gentleman in big F450 being at fault bc the police officer who witnessed it wrote the report. It was one thing me and my daughter had to i sure our livelihood we were fortunate enough to still be driving our though previously totaled due to road flooding while driving but thanks to Kevin Mena and #Shelter Insurance and my own #Traders insurance you have all contributed to ruining that and i couldnt put a price on the suffering thats caused not to me the repairs to my now undriveable car. Shame on you all im screwed by a technicality i refuse to say any of you are reputable moral or satisfactory.

I would give this company a 0 star if I could. I was the 3rd car hit in a 3 car accident that started with their driver. The contacted me to get the details on the accident and they said that my account matched the account of the other driver and that I didn't need to contact my insurance company that they would take care of it. I downloaded their app and processed my claim like I was asked then waited for them to get back with me on my claim. I waited two weeks and heard nothing from them so I called and the claim agent said that their driver was claiming another car hit him to start it all and that they were waiting for his statement and that she was going to get with him because that was a week prior to our conversation. I expressed to her that I would like to be kept in the loop as to what the status was. Two weeks later still nothing from the agent. I called back again and had to leave my contact info because she was on the other line. Lets just hope she calls back!

Like everyone else said - If I could leave 0 stars I would. Terrible claims department. Someone hit us 1 month ago today. 100% their fault. Should be a very simple case. If you want to talk to the adjuster on your claim, you'll probably call multiple times a day for a week before you hear anything. We have only heard back from our normal adjuster, Danielle Jarvis, 1 time in the whole month. The vehicle was considered a total loss and the total loss adjuster, Chris Serrano, tried giving us an offer without even knowing the mileage on our vehicle. So we went to the lot where the car was (Copart) and got the mileage. Copart told us they would send the updated mileage over to Trader's ASAP. A week went by without a word from Chris even though we tried contacting him multiple times and then we get a call from Enterprise saying the rental car ending date is being backdated and we have to pay $200 for the rental. They called us because even they thought that was "fishy." Finally heard from Chris and he fixed the rental issue but we has to return the rental that evening. Which gave us only a few hours to do that. That was 3 days ago. Which he told us he would update the mileage and send over an actual offer on our 2003 Subaru Forester ASAP. Still nothing. We fully intent on complaining with the KS Insurance commissioner if no offer is given today. This company is seriously a joke.

They don t call you for any process. Got in my wreck with one of your clients on December 31st and it s not February 5th and I m still going through with them . I m having to get my daddy involved with it and everything .and more then likely we will have to sue them because it s always something with them . A low grade insurance company . And everytime I talk to them I get mad . Just going to get a lawyer involved and go from there because I ll be damned if my insurance goes up because of these plain Jane bastards. I contacted roadside assistance at 1230 in the morning. I kept getting music, no representative ever answered. It was cold and my car was not in a safe place. Fast forward, I came back a little before 6am and my car had been impounded. I had to pay for the impound around 9am. I called Traders roadside with no success 3 times. Finally after contacting customer service, I was able to set up a dispatch although I was quoted an hour and half wait it has been close to 3 hours. I am so disappointed. I calmly called to make a complaint and was forwarded several diff time to diff numbers. When I actually reached the right dept. The customer service rep attitude was uncaring and she told me there was nothing Traders will do about the impound fee and took it a step further to state that the service I required was not apart of roadside. Right after she said this the call was disconnected. No she did not attempt to call back. Very very poor service

I am a lender in Springfield, MO and needed to receive a copy of a mutual customers insurance. The lady who took my call was very polite and stated that no lien has been placed by the customer which is a very common issue as people forget to do this. She gladly took down our information and added the info accordingly, verified my contact info, and sent the policy right over. Insurance is usually not this easy to work with, much appreciated!

Terrible insurance Co. They claimed 100% liability on an accident I was in while clearly the other driver was at fault. Even on the police report, he had made an improper lane change AND was careless driving and it stated I had done nothing wrong. It stated on the report he was at fault, and evidence showed that too. The case was open for 1 week and they claimed liability! Specifically Cristina Hidalgo. Switch while you can.

STRAP IN FOLKS, It's gonna be a LONG but NECESSARY review!
I called Trader's to file a claim after their client blew through a stop sign. The other driver claimed that I was distracted and that I hit them, and that I fled the scene of the accident. The driver attempted to do this with my insurance company as well! However, my provider is AMAZING and smart! I provided a recorded statement and all of my pictures from the accident--which would not have existed if I fled the scene!!! I provided the same information in an email to Trader's with an explanation and diagram of what happened. They didn't contact me for 4 weeks at which point I reached out to their AWFUL insurance adjuster who was impersonal and rude...and was told my claim was denied, and they are taking the other driver's word. The driver who I PROVED was not being truthful about the incident in the first place.
Moral of the story---This company is unethical, unresponsive, and impersonal and...ALWAYS call the police no matter what the protocol for non-injury accidents is in your home State!

They don't even deserve a single star because Traders insurance is a nightmare. One of their clients backed into my car so I called them to file a claim. It took 5 days for me to get in touch with the adjustor they assigned to me to complete my statement. When I spoke with her she was beyond rude and less than helpful. She told me that if they can't get in touch with their client I am basically SOL for the damages done to my car. Hands down the most unprofessional company I've ever had to deal with.
If you have Candace Freeman for an adjuster, I hope you have a ton of patience. I got into a car accident where their insured driver was at fault. Every time I tried to call Candace to get information she would not answer her phone or return any of my voicemails. Neither would her supervisor, Melissa. The whole time it was just me calling and talking to a random adjuster (ext. 6) and asking them to transfer me to Candace and I would not get off the phone until someone answered.
It is almost like they do not contact you because they want you to forget to avoid paying the claim or put it off as long as possible. It was such a hassle getting Candace Freeman or Melissa on the phone and when an adjuster finally got a hold of them and transferred me in they were very rude and you could tell they did not want to talk to me at all. Not once did they even ask me for a statement or pictures of the scene- odd. Their insured driver did not even have a cellphone to take pictures, so they definitely did not get pictures from them.
This is a terrible insurance company and I don't know how they are still in business. If you want anything done you literally have to call three times a week because they WILL NOT CONTACT YOU.
The only reason why I got the claim settled was because I talked to the supervisor of all the supervisors. She was very nice an helpful. She is the only one who is deserving of a star. Candace and Melissa did absolutely nothing for me.
I hope I NEVER get into an accident with a driver that has Traders Insurance. They are the absolute worst. And reading all the other google reviews makes me think they are a scam / the employees are all con artists.

From 2 years ago, The claims department with Traders Insurance is nowhere close to professional and not on point with helping the customer. If you have to call them, you will have to leave messages to not get any call backs. They call one time and only one time. The best thing is to go up there and talk in person to get some type of result. For a claims department, you need to serve your customers, not ignore them and come up with excuses. Also, they charge fees on top of fees. I would not recommend using them for any of your auto insurance needs. This company is simply a waste of time, money, and effort.

Traders Insurance only wants your money and not your business! Won't even make an effort to keep their customers even if they were in the wrong! Selected one star as well because there was not an option for no stars. I don't know how they get away with their nonsense. Talking down to customers like they are stupid. Can't even send a doggone confirmation e-mail when requesting one and then wants to get an attitude about it!

A person with Traders rear-ended me and they claimed my car is totaled, so they won t pay to fix it and offered me not even half the money that I paid for my car a year ago.
6 weeks without a car and they just gave me $90 for it.

By far the most UNPROFESSIONAL company ever. They have no idea how to run a business and their customer service is AWFUL. I really wish I had read reviews on this company before starting a policy with them. They were the cheapest quote I received and by far my biggest mistake. They can t even keep their customer s information updated and correct and blame you for their mistakes as a company. I ve never been so disappointed with a business to go and write a review but traders has definitely earned this one.
Update: I ve now received a late fee when I m on auto draft payments!!!

Traders insurance should rename it self to Fraudulent insurance coverage. I've had nothing but problems with them since I started and stress beyond comprehension. Ver rudet hey will tap buttons on the phone to distract you so they can hang up and wouldnt receive a call when i questioned them on something. They debut your account $30, which will be a week prior to the schedule payment date stating this is a late fee really? Also claiming they're making sure funds are available. I've have 3 due dates unknowingly, according to their records which i didnt agree too the changes. Payments are subject to change with out knowledge then they send you an email of what you owe. They tried to get 2 payments with in a month period. I asked when was my due date per month the lady stated she didnt know and dont have that information...really? Oh almost forgot they will send you a notice stating your not covered after they have received a payment then ask you to mail the statement because they haven't a clue why you receive it. honestly believe this isn't a legitimate business please be aware. They didn't deserve not one star....

Traders Insurance is the insurance company for a driver that hit my son's car and totaled it. Madlyn Tombs (claims representative) at Traders was exceptionally helpful in getting the claim settled. She was professional in our dealings and was very quick to respond to my inquiries. I work in the insurance industry and even I was impressed with how responsive she was to this claim situation.
I did not receive an invoice for next 6 months payment due.
I spoke with Andrea Cardenas about a policy I was working on and she was really helpful, no need for transferring my call all over the building like with other customer reps. Thumbs up!!

We got into an accident with their policy holder. They were at fault. They also admitted fault. Accident happened in early February . I called gave them the info. I had to give them my address 3 times in one phone call. I was told an adjuster would call me and set up a time to meet to look at my car. So they could value it it took 2 weeks for him to call. He called 30 mins before showing up. I was not home.I was working. He went to the wrong house. Wrong address. He called me again. Gave him the right address. He showed up valued my car at total. Took 3 weeks to hear from anyone again after I waited a week, called and emailed. They finally shoot me a low ball bid. I fight that..manage to get more..finally after weeks of emails. It took them a week to reply to simple questions. They send a tow truck..i send the p.o.a and the title..they send the check a week later it's now April 20th .THE date Angela Doyle said the check was sent. It is May 3rd still No check. I email ..it took 5 days to get a response about Where is my damn money. I verified my address with Angela through email. She stated yes that's the address we sent it too. I waited 7 to 10 days because Angela stated it could take that long.. Even though they are a state over from me.. 10 days.. Wow... Of course no check. So I emailed today and her response was they sent it to the wrong address. Taking 2 months to get the check..and let me say.. This check is under $3,000. It's not a huge amount. No injuries . I was being simple. This company sucks. They do not know how to do simple paper work. I will be getting a lawyer when my check gets here. Nothing like sueing an insurance company!!!
The agent that always helps me is Roxi Franklin. I always keep her emails and contact numbers I can get a hold of her. She is the best when it comes to questions about the policies or adding or removing vehicles. She always comes in with the lowest rates, why we choose to stay with traders!!!!!
Horrible claims department. Good luck getting them to pay you when you get hit by their drivers. Next step insurance commissioner complaint, and then an attorney. Discount the value of our vehicle by 65% because of condition. Won t accept comps from outside of our area even though they use one from 800 miles away in their comps. You get what you pay for, unfortunately getting hit by their drivers isn t a choice. Would hate to see what they do to their own customers. Stay away!

Customer service is bad. I had to call three times due to being randomly hung up on the two previous times. I originally called them because I made a payment on 12/7 and as of 12/11 the payment hadn t posted to my traders acct. (But the money was taken out of my bank acct)
They tried to tell me I needed to pay one month but my policy wouldn t be reinstated until they received payment from my bank.......Which they should have since it posted on 12/7 and the money WAS taken out of my acct. So now my insurance policy is CANCELLED without notice.Even though according to my bank and the money gone out of my bank I paid. All in all not happy.! And NO I will absolutely not be paying Dec bill until what i have already paid is posted.! SORRY I will not be screwed over!
