If you are looking for an insurance company that's rude, DOES NOT communicate effectively with their clients, and very mistrustful.... This company will be perfect for you. I DO NOT recommend Traders to anyone.

This insurance company should be shut down. If you have a claim against them...good luck. We are on week 4 now and haven't even been able to get a rental car after an auto accident. We have borrowed vehicles and asked for rides just to make it to resulting medical appointments. On top of that, the claims adjuster was VERY rude and unaccommodating to my wife in a phone call. Apparently, HE is too busy with 150 other claims to respond to ours. We will be reporting them to the BBB as well the Missouri Department of Commerce.

My only issue with Traders is the online site no longer allows you to look into your policy and review what your policy entails. I don't feel confident in my insurance provider when transparency is non-optional.

I was involved in an accident with a policy holder from this company. The claim adjuster from this company is trying everything to deny the claim. She seems to know nothing about what she is doing. I am very very very disappointed with this company for denying a claim which is clearly their policy holders fault. Very poor customer service. Very poor company. This company should be shut down!! If I could give a zero star rating I would! I urge anyone that has or had a bad experience with this company to file a complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BEREAU and MISSOURI INSURANCE COMMISIONER .but don't let them tell you anything especially if you are not at fault .They will follow up on the claim .and sooner or later you will get what you deserve .Don't give up

Such a horrible insurance company. I was rear ended by one of YOUR clients who was texting and driving, and while my car was getting repaired I needed a rental vehicle. I was told it had to be no more than $30 a day for a vehicle which I did. When I emailed your company a copy of the receipt for the rental, I was called and told I wouldn't be reimbursed the full $328.01 because of an optional $50 add on and a $10 extension fee. The add on was insurance because I'm under 25 and am required BY LAW to have insurance on a rental vehicle! We have tried getting ahold of the woman who dealt with my claim and God forbid she answer any of our calls so I can explain this situation to her. YOUR COMPANY OWES ME $60 DOLLARS. I shouldn't have to pay a cent when YOUR client was TEXTING WHILE DRIVING causing an accident!

The only way to receive any help was speaking with a supervisor. Although she did a great job at handling my situation it was a headache to get through to anyone and the adjustor who I was assigned to, tish, was very rude and had terrible customer service.

Karen was so great! She helped remove and add everything I need for my vehicles on my policy. She was so knowledgeable and helped me to add rental car insurance incase of an accident I have a car to drive during that time I am with out a car. She also explained in detail what all I was getting for my money each month. She emailed the waiver and my new cards. I was a pleaser speaking with her today.

It's rare to find an insurance company this incompetent on so many levels.

Backstory: my wife was struck by a driver who was trying to turn into a parking lot and was waved through but she didn't see my wife in the other lane. She also happened to be insured by Traders. The next 48 hours I can only describe as bedlam.

The adjuster, Susan, made it apparent through her lack of urgency and action that our claim with Traders did not matter. They refused to assess the car at the wrecker we towed it to, instead making us tow it to a collision repair shop. Luckily, the two shops had a very good working relationship. If it weren't for that and the complimentary tow we were able to work out, we were going to have to pay $235 out of pocket and Susan said that once she saw the receipt, Traders would "write us a check."

Once we got our vehicle to the shop of Traders choice, I called Susan to inform her that the vehicle had been moved and she could send her appraisal team. She informed me that since it was the middle of the afternoon on Friday that the appraisal team would be out to the clinic "first thing Monday morning." Sounds promising, right? Even more promising was the fact that someone from their national office called me around 9AM Saturday morning to assure me that someone would be out "first thing Monday morning" to start the appraisal process. Awesome! At this point, going through hours of phone calls and negotiations seemed to have finally paid off.

However, when Monday rolled around, we didn't hear from Traders or the shop. On Tuesday, the shop called us and asked when Traders was going to come out and start the appraisal. We called Susan again, multiple times, and got voicemail. When she finally answered Tuesday afternoon, she tried to do what I can only describe as pathetic when she told us that their phones were having issues with incoming calls. She said she couldn't hear us and then hung up the phone. She made absolutely no attempt to call us back moments later or even for the remainder of the day.

It's now Wednesday morning and we've resorted to leaving Susan more voicemails yet again. When I called the national line again, they told me they were waiting on the appraisal team to go to the shop, which should have been Monday. This level of communication is inexcusable and, frankly, pathetic in a way I can't describe. Trying to navigate this entire nightmare experience Traders has laid before us just to get work done on our car that their client is 100% liable for makes me question if they actually care about taking responsibility or if they're trying to wait us out and force us to take another action.

What an absolute farce this insurance company is. Have some pride in what you do because, as of right now, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I hate this company with a passion. They do nothing to help you and then they get an attitude with you when you ask for help. I'd rather pay more money somewhere else than to deal with this company. It needs to be shut down. I was in an accident and called them and the man stated to me that he can't help me, he didn't even ask for information. How rude. I rate this company a -10

first of all i cancelled my insurance in february i had paid using my dads account with him authorizing it the first two months then when i cancelled in feb i heard nothing else besides a letter showing my insurance would be up on a certain date....well here it is july 31st my dad went to his bank which mind u he is on a fixed income and foumd out they been holding money out since feb and not just the same price every month different prices every month then he has been having to pay an overdraft fee every mont...my dad has not authorized a payment since jan and i call today to tell them about it and that my dad wants a refund and i was suppose to get a call back twice but did i???? nope the second time i called the lady was so rude i finally told her i dont want to deal with her id rather talk to the lady i did before and guess what she hung up on me

Awilda Moth (probably not spelled correctly) is incredibly rude and does not represent your company well. I have never had this much trouble trying to get things taken care of after being hit by one of their drivers. Was hit in December of 2016 and wasn't even contacted by a traders until the end of May of 2017. Madeline Toom called me after I asked for a super visor and she was so much nicer to speak to. Overall my experience has helped me to understand your 1star rating.

*I increased the rating by one star after being contacted by Chase ( I believe it was). He asked me about my review and wanted to know what he could do to change my experience. He did apologize for how long it took and got my claim corrected to include my mirror as well that they left off saying that it had already been hanging (it hadn't, it was just taped in the original pictures because I have to have it to legally be able to drive) . I do appreciate his effort to correct my issues but I feel like my review and rating are still both incredibly accurate/deserved.

As long as you have your policy number, you can easily pay your policy online and request your insurance cards. Card are usually mailed to you but if you forget them at home you can request them to be emailed.

Andrea was super helpful, incredibly professional and polite. I just needed to edit my policy and she made it super easy and hassle free. Only having them a month I wasnt sure how easy it would be since there isn't an app or website to edit my policy I figured it would take forever, but I actually enjoyed speaking with a human. I think I will probably continue with this company for more than the duration of my current policy. Definitely recommend.

They have great rates for their customers and treat their agents well.
Anytime I call with questions, which is often, they are always helpful.

To start off this whole horrible experience, I only went with Traders because the quote that I got was less than others. (Around $500, which is ridiculous as it is, right?) Little did I know, the policy was also written with a homeowners discount and I am not in fact a homeowner.
Well, Monday the 24th I open my banking app and find that Traders had withdrew $775- almost $300 more than I expected and overdrew my bank account. Nope, I guess I don't have my stuff together enough to be bathing in my money but I had enough in there to pay the original ridiculous premium and still survive for the week.
I reached out to another insurance company, got something else arranged, and called Traders to cancel. Keep in mind that any person that I have spoken to regarding this has been far from helpful. At no point has anyone said that they are sorry or put themselves in my shoes and thought to themselves "Well I wouldn't want to pay $800 monthly for my insurance either." I was told that I needed to send a signature with my policy number and request to cancel via e-mail or fax- which I did. I sent my name, policy number and request to cancel in the body of the e-mail and attached a photo of my signature. I called back a few hours later (still Monday) just to make sure that they had everything they needed on their end to get the ball rolling and find out about how long it would take to be reimbursed. I was told it would take 24-48 hours. At no point did she tell me that she didn't have the documentation that she needed.
Well, that's a long time to go when your bank account is overdrawn and you need to get back and forth to work, but whatever. The staff here doesn't care about things like that. Instead you're treated like a POS. I just overdrew my account some more and payed my credit card to have money to get by then left you all alone until today so that I'm not inconveniencing you anymore than I already have.
Today I called to follow up again. I was rudely informed that "I only sent my signature" and that she could make a note that my request to cancel was as of the 24th. I asked to speak to a supervisor, got a voicemail, left a voicemail and have not received a call back yet. I am now at work so even if someone does decide to call me back and get this properly resolved, we will be playing phone tag, just FYI.
The fact that I was charged more than expected is one thing- simple mistake, whatever. People make mistakes, but it's how you choose to handle said mistakes that makes the difference. I have spoken to multiple people here and I feel like absolutely no one has even tried to fix this. Now 4+ days later, I'm still out $800 and apparently that's my fault according to the way your staff handles problems.
I am very upset & need to get this resolved.

Such poor customer service, they charged me twice in one month for my auto insurance and when I called to let them know they promptly said they would get back to me....but promptly was not the case at all....they never got back to me. So now I'm out over $200 untill my bank can dispute it. If It wasn't for having no other choice for insurance because of rates Being so high i would NEVER go with this insurance company.

So far everyone has been pleasant even the gentleman who helped me get my proof of

I kept repeating my email address because I didn't her him repeat a letter in my email address and he said well Mrs. Surritte,just do me a favor and check your email and tell me if you have them and I did ! I dont know why I didn"t hear that one letter but he was very friendly just as Matt was when he set me up ! Thanks you guys !!

Erica Maldonado was the most helpful person ive spoken to since ive called into traders. ever! she really went out of her way to help me and answer all my questions. The only thing you all should improve is the discounts you can offer your customers. Traders is not even competing in the discount dept. when it comes to larger insurance agencies they've got you beat. That and my hold time was a longer than I expected to be able to speak with someone. That and why wouldn't theft be covered in rental insurance without all the stipulations?? Either way im very satisfied with my personal rates and the help Erica Maldonado was so much appreciated!

I have absolutely loved working with Traders Insurance Company I have never been spoken to in an unprofessional manner. I would love to give five stars to their underwriting department. Staci and Kim have been nothing but graceful and kind towards me I love when either of them pick up the phone because they will always go above and beyond. I speak to several underwriters and those two are my favorite. However the entire Traders team always provides great service!!!

I believe traders in general sucks. They re slow and very pricey for the slightest issues. I canceled my policy and was told I d receive a check in 1-2 weeks and didn t receive it till a month later and the amount was wrong by 100$. When I contacted customer service I talked with a woman named Roxi. She is the only reason I m giving them a 5 star because her service was amazing. She let me explain my issue and was immediately able to help me. She spoke clearly. ( I didn t have any issues with understanding what she was saying.) She was very informative and helpful during the situation. I really appreciated her help.
