I haven't yet solved the intermittent problem my older car has been having, but I want to say I am really happy I tried Toyota of Seattle. They are honest and fair, rare qualities in dealerships. Service advisor BJ has been mindful of my tight budget and has been helpful in my decision on next steps. I am hoping to NOT replace my car at this time, but I am also very pleased with Cory in sales-he is helpful without being pushy.

I don't have experience with the purchasing side, but they do provide Excellent service. First the bad: they lack some organization and communication skills, ESPECIALLY in the parts department, but Adam Y. and Jake C. have gone above and beyond to make sure my car stays as new.
I recently had an intermittent gremlin that would never appear to a mechanic, but they put great effort in diagnosing and repairing the problem, all under warranty. This meant quick responses to after hours emails and pushing things up the chain without my having to pull the "let me speak to your supervisor" routine. Definitely recommend. Great coffee too.

Came here after a disappointing experience at Magic Toyota in Edmonds. I worked with Tony in sales and Johnny in finance. Both were very chill, down to earth people. This is a one price dealership, so skipping the negotiating part of the car was nice. (Basically will pay just below MSRP) We did negotiate on my trade in which of course was back and forth but that's normal. I couldn't get into the Camry XSE I wanted so Tony showed me a Camry TRD. I absolutely loved it! I decided to lease the vehicle, when it was my turn, Johnny went through the paper work, talked to me about everything, GAP, other coverages, etc. Made it super easy and quick. He even offered to help me get a refund for my extended warranty and GAP that I had on my trade in from Mercedes. Overall a great buying experience, no pressure, chill environment. Will definitely return for future vehicles!

Disorganized and clumsy both in sales and service....
Disorganized and clumsy both in sales and service. We bought a Toyota Sienna from them and we love the car. The issues were with the closing of the sale and then their service department handling the "We Owe" services as part of the sale...scratches removed, weather stripping replaced, that type of stuff. The signing and sale took FOREVER lots of waiting, very painful with kids around. Then they moved forward with a loan that we told them we didn't want, which we then had to cancel.
The service fixes took several trips and on the final visit, we were told it would only take two hours, so I took the kids downtown while we waited....well 6 hours later (and them not having called us, we called them) they had the car repaired. When you know your clients are waiting, that they have children, that the only reason we are there is because you fubared it the first time around, you should try and make an effort.
They need to work on communication and customer service. When they move to SODO there will be no real advantage to our using them over other dealerships for service and repairs.

Overall Toyota of Seattle gets a 5-star review. Their inventory, prices, and sales team is great. I worked with Tyler and he took great care of me. They are an honest dealership and while their price is set, it is an open book and it would be very tough to beat their prices. If I'm in the market for another Toyota, this would be my first stop (instead of 3rd!) and I would work with Tyler again. The one complaint I have is their credit card policy is archaic and puts their customer at a disadvantage. $3K limit on a credit card is simply annoying and while it saves the dealership credit card fees, those costs are effectively passed along to consumers through missing out on our credit card benefits (ie. points)--as you can tell I was pretty annoyed by this.

I had an issue with one of the service people and their customer service rep reached out to me right away and we were able to figure it out, and she issued me a refund on the issue. Truly appreciate being heard on the issue. Thanks Toyota. :)
I won't buy another used car from Toyota of Seattl...
I won't buy another used car from Toyota of Seattle!!! We went here on recommendations of two friends, who bought new cars and had great experiences. Apparently, my husband and I didn't look like we could afford a new car, so the sales person encouraged us to buy a used RAV with an extended warranty. We expected two sets of keys, but got only one FOB. One FOB for a busy family of four, just wasn't going to work and we were told after the fact that another FOB would cost us over $250. The 2010 RAV had some other issues, distinct and constant rattling sound unless the radio is on. Radio reception is terrible even after the broken antenna was replaced. As for driving on wet roads, the RAV skids on hills. Within a month of purchase, the service light went on and we were told the warranty didn't cover checking it. We had to get the credit union involved, before getting any action from the dealership. Now, just a year after purchasing this RAV, the alternator had to be replaced for over $700. Turning on the car had from the beginning been unusually loud and obnoxious. The tire pressure light is now constantly on, tire pressure was checked by two shops and told there is something wrong with the sensor. I am not sure why our credit union would support a business selling such unreliable used cars!!! We went to a car dealership for the peace of mind we thought we couldn't get from CraigsList. Were we WRONG!!!!!!

If you need a pre-buyer's inspection, do NOT go to Toyota of Seattle. Though it seems that their service team would be reliable, they are not. We took a used Toyota to their mechanics, seeking a report and advice about a purchase. We were advised that it was a good purchase and would likely be reliable. A mere 2000 accident-free miles later, the same service team declared the car not worth repairing because of the severe issues with the car that they did not warn us about nor catch in the useless 'pre-buyer's inspection'. Nothing has been done to compensate us for the loss of several thousand dollars in this purchase. What a disaster.

Bad customer services, not honest mechanics, and not honest management, they exploit the repairs of their customers cars, then they exaggerate & inflate the costs so much, so each and every customer pay more for the repairs than what is needed. And also they deny liability when something goes wrong later on their repairs. Be aware. Be alert

I bought a vehicle here. In absolute terms, it was not a terrible experience. I might even recommend the dealership. But. The purchase process was far from the frictionless experience promised on their website. So by the standards set by the dealership itself, my experience fell far short. In the *hours* that I waited in the showroom for paperwork to be done, I noticed several people come in, speak with salespeople, sit down, wait for a while, then leave in frustration without accomplishing their purpose. Come on folks, you're better than this.

Place lost my car! NO Kidding, I made an appointment online, checked my car in, and the lost it! I had to call five times during the day, was told three times they would call me back. No one, NO ONE ever called me. I went to the dealership at 9 pm and a very kind salesman found my car and let me take it home. Nothing had been done with it. They do not know what they are doing, they are completely disorganized and inefficient. Find another place to go. Even with the General Manger and the Service manager being told of my experience not a soul has called me or contacted me in any way.

Dealership is great so this is more about Toyota. Was assured in Jan 2019, when I leased this Highlander that I would get a new GPS map update asap. That was 10 months ago. The nav is useless in Seattle. My $149 Garmin and Google maps are better. Why won't Toyota keep their maps updated? Anyone know if there is a hack around this?

10 out of 10 customer service! I had a real pleasant time there. Everything was very straightforward and easy to understand. I went there to traded in my Toyota Corolla and walk out with a brand new 2019 Tacoma in the SAME day. If you ever have any questions or just want info on your next new Toyota I recommend speaking with Johnny Velasco. He s your guy if you need any help.

I had an amazing experience buying my car from ToS. Their One Price, no pressure, best for the customer, no commission approach made this the best buying experience I have ever had! Everyone was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There was no shady playing with the numbers, no pressure, and I felt like I was getting an honest and straightforward deal that was tailored to what I asked them to provide me. While any of the sales people are great, Johnny Velasco was my sales person. I send anyone who asks me directly yo him!

Just bought a car from here on 28th. The lady Kim from finance department was not patient and a total lier. She managed to sell me a Century theft code system by telling me that will protect me from car theft and is effective for life time if i am the owner and can help bring down my insurance fee, but she didn t mention that this thing only covers up to 2500 dollars if your car is stolen. After i took a closer look at the contract I found this thing only is effective for 3 years.

The service department is the worst I have experienced . I am leasing a new corolla and had to bring it in for a defect. It took over 30 days for them to find someone that could fix it and my car was returned to me smelling like mildew. It took several months to get the smell out (it still smelled like a new car when I brought it in to them). The second time was for an oil change and they misplaced my car. It took almost 4 hours to get my car back. This last time was also miserable customer service.

I had a great experience at Toyota of Seattle when I bought my 2015 Tundra Cremax 1794 Edition. The truck was amazing inside and out. No pushy sales people. They gave me a great deal on my trade in. Easy financing. No hidden charges. I worked with Kel in sales and his general manager, David. My last truck was a Toyota Tundra and when it comes time to replace this truck I plan to get another Tundra. When the time comes, I'll shop at Toyota of Seattle before I go anywhere else.

I recently purchased a new Camry at Toyota of Seattle and worked with Tylor Nuckelt. Tyler's work is informed by sincerity. He works hard to represent his company and their products well and also endeavors to provide the customer with complete and accurate information while answering all questions. There was none of the "car salesman hustle" that I was worried about. Tyler paid attention to what I said and what I wanted. Although I wasn't prepared to make a purchase that day, Tyler provided so much helpful information without any pressure that I became ready to buy. I didn't feel rushed. He went the extra mile to bring the car to my home and made sure that all the bluetooth systems - many of which are new to me - were set up and functional. Good experience overall.

I absolutely recommend Toyota of Seattle and definitely ask for Johnny V when you walk in.
Johnny was fantastic. He spent hours with us on the first day walking through and testing the various models & trims with absolute patience and knowledge. We still had the search of car models to go through. He knew it and still spend as much time as needed. We came back to Toyota of Seattle because of him. It was the best, no pressured car buying experience I ve ever had.

Ever since buying a RAV4 in 2007 I've been a customer of Toyota of Seattle's Service Department. The service has always been exceptional. I appreciate their online-scheduling tool. I never have to wait more than a minute or two to check in when I arrive. The service advisers are experts I can trust. When my kids were young the lounge area was a welcoming place to hang out while we waited for the shuttle (which is GREAT) to run us back home. This week I spent a lot of time on the phone with Service Adviser Jay. He was extremely patient and helpful. Simply put - I'm a big fan!

8/10/20 - Alvin, the service manager, contact me about the experience I had with the Toyota of Seattle service department. He was apologetic and empathized that I should not have had to wait as long as I did (let alone lose my keyfob). After talking about the incident, he took the time to take care of me and made it right by offering me a solution to the issue. Thank you for understanding my frustration and quickly reaching out to fix the issue!

Invoice# 418427 for reference.
Went into Toyota for a Toyota Care maintenance for my 2019 Toyota Tacoma on 8/8/20 at 7 a.m.
Received a text at 11:18 a.m. that my truck had completed it's maintenance and warranty check for my windshield due to a manufacturer defect. I checked in with the service advisor and signed the exit paperwork and was told that my truck would be brought to the front parking lot.
I waited outside in the parking lot until 11:52 a.m. and checked in with the service advisor to ask him where my truck is. He told me it will be pulled out so
I waited outside again until 12:13 p.m. -- no truck again.
12:13 p.m. I go inside and talk to another service advisor telling him I waited about 1 hour for my truck to be pulled into the parking lot so I could go home and talked to the service advisor that was initially helping me. They finally told me that my keys were lost! They waited over an hour to tell me that my keys were lost!
After another 15 minutes of waiting on a solution to this issue they looked at the security cameras and found nothing and finally called a shuttle to take me home to get MY spare key only to have to bring it back to Toyota of Seattle to have another key fob made. I am then shuttled to my house (mind you I live 30 minutes away) and have to be shuttled back to Toyota of Seattle from my house -- almost an hour of being shuttled. I am now then told that I have to wait another 30 minutes for my new key fob to be made and have to wait at the dealership.
It is now 1:11 p.m. as I type this sentence and will be arriving at the dealership in 15 minutes. By now, I've already spent 6 hours at the dealership for an oil change and warranty check for my windshield.
1:21 p.m. just arrived and waiting for someone to help me (again).
1:23 p.m. gave my key to a service advisor and they said to wait another 30 minutes.
It is now 1:53 p.m. (30 minutes) and still no key or my truck!!!
It is 1:57 p.m. and I checked again because no one followed up with me.
2 p.m. I am now finally in my truck with the replacement key.
The frustrating part of the whole situation is that I had to initiate EVERY single interaction to get a response on getting my damn truck back.
I was not offered anything in exchange for the lost time spent waiting at the dealership for them to give me a resolution. The only thing they offered was to replace my keyfob at their expense for losing it.
Let's just say maybe they should not be leaving keys and paperwork on the table out in the open and be a little more organized. Keys should be in a valet box or something.
*If they told me right then and there that my keyfob was lost I wouldn't have had an issue and not write this review but they waited an hour to tell me my keyfob was lost.
*I almost never write out reviews but I had to because this is by far the worst experience I've had.
I wasted seven hours of my time at the dealership for an oil change and I didn't even get my complimentary brown bear car wash coupon! Horrible and frustrating experience!

I absolutely love coming here. Ive been with Toyota since 2018. I live about 35min from this Seattle location and always choose to come here even though I have a Toyota dealership near me thats 10 min away. Here in this dealership the employees are all just an amazing & caring team. They really give you the best deal, offer you coffee and tea, and make sure you leave satisfied with your car. Zach Sannes helped me choose the perfect car for myself which was the toyota tacoma 4x4 off road. He did a great job telling me all i need to know about this truck (i had no idea about this truck). He worked with his manager Pape Moraga to get the deal for me sealed on taking that truck home with me that same day. My first time having a truck to my name. I was scared cause my credit score isnt great but they really worked with what i got and helped me achieve a affordable monthly payment.
Not only are the sales people wonderful but the maintenance team is fantastic! Trevor helped me out with a covering for the truck bed and Lindesy always took good care of my CHR (when i had that car) and in the end of your maintenance service you receive a free brown bear car wash coupon! How sweet
Anyways, i only have good comments for the company up in Seattle because its the team that makes you always want to come back!

Got my Prius V serviced here a month ago with an oil change. First time i drive into cold weather my washer fluid freezes into ice when hitting my windshield. They obviously topped my washer fluid off with water. That is unacceptable service from a dealership. This is also not the 1st Toyota dealership that has done this. I guess i will continue taking my car to a local shop for service that has honest service and quality work.

Called and told insisted I needed a recall I knew didn t apply to me. I asked them to check the VIN number several times and they insisted the recall applied to my car and it was urgent.
My father was visiting from out of state and I was at work. As soon as he took the car in they told him the recall and didn t to my car after checking the VIN and mislead him into trying to authorize almost $1000 of service I didn t need. Luckily called and escaped with an unneeded oil change.
I ll never get my car serviced or go near this place again.

These guys were nothing but helpful. Barna was a no pressure salesman that tried to do everything he could to get me the truck I wanted. This place is much better than Toyota Lake City. The short and skinny of it is they have great tech...
The short and skinny of it is they have great techs, good customer service, but something is lost in translation between the two. Like any dealership, they are there to make money and act accordingly. Here are the details:
I had been having electrical issues on my 4runner and Michael's Toyota tried their best to resolve it but after moving to Seattle, I found it hard to drive all the way back there.
I brought it to Toyota of Seattle and explained the whole issue, defective part and stressed something else was wrong. After diagnostics, the concluded that there was nothing else wrong and they replaced the rear ECU under warranty (less than a year since working on it previously). I was ecstatic to hear they had the part in stock and that they were covering it under warranty. They found other issues (non warranty) and I approved the few things I didn't have the energy or drive to do myself. The total was something just over $100. I went in to pick it up and was chatting with the guy handling the paperwork who was super nice and down to earth. Made a lunch suggestion that was on-point (Quick Pick, seriously just go there). Not sure if I was distracting him or not but he accidentally overcharged my by a little over $200. I went back in a little bit later and they were a little unsure of how to correct it and said they would talk to accounting. A couple days after, the problem returned so I intended on bring it back in to be looked at again. I left the county for a week and they were diligent in following up and when I got back to the states, they called again to get my money back to me. Since I was bringing it back in, I figured I would talk in person regarding the refund. When I returned to drop the car off, the people I worked with were gone, so I was paired with Jay. Looking back on my whole experience, I feel like I should by Jay a beer. Or eight. Since this was my return trip for the same issue, Jay bore the brunt of my frustration. They were backed up and he had never seen my service request but took it all in stride, careful to mention that he had no knowledge of what happened with my car previously. Anyhow, he checked it back in. From that point on, Jay was on point with text messages about my car and even brought out one of their more senior techs to verify the issue (thank god we reproduced the issue) and we checked it back in.
After working on it for a couple days, Jay called me and told me that it was probably related to the non-Toyota key fob that I had (it was a cheap knock off, but I had a second fob that did not resolve the issue). Since electrical issues are beyond my mechanical ability, I deferred to their expertise. I approved the $300-ish charge to make a new key fob and picked my car up the next day.
When I picked up my car, the first thing I noticed was there the VSC warning light was on. It was not on before. I had seen this before when an o2 sensor failed. In the past, after replacing the O2 sensor, it disappeared. Frustration immediately skyrocketed. Before leaving the property, I pulled back into check in and left the car with them. I was quite cross at this point, having spent the money on Uber to get there on my lunch break. I honestly feel a little bad for the guy that checked me back in (I never seemed to get the same person to help me the whole time my car was here).
Days later, Jay called and told me that after replacing the key fob, they forgot to reprogram the so-and-so ( I can't remember what it was called because I was floored that he would so blatantly make something up to cover for a tech mistake). The next day, it was miraculously fixed. I picked it up, free of charge, and lacking in any kind of tech notes. The issue returned the next day. I brought the car back and explained my frustration. Jay suggested replacing a junction box and quoted around $1600 for the job, $400 of which was labor. I refused the parts on asked for diagnostics. They found a broken connection under the fuse box. $400ish to fix. Everything is working now and I feel confident that the issue is resolved.

EDIT: 8/3/16 - Their head of customer service replied to this review in-line (which I discovered by accident) asking me to contact her some time ago. I did not respond. Given the amount of detail provided, she should have had no issues proactively reaching out to us. She has since removed her request from this review without attempting to contact us.
My wife took in our vehicle for the Airbag recall service. Whilst it was there, she received a voicemail from a service tech informing us that all 4 brake pads were completely worn, the rotors were also shot and would need replacing, and a PVC valve would need to be replaced. All this to the tune of several hundred dollars.
This was news to us, as the normal place we take our car (Matt's Auto Care in Greenwood) hadn't mentioned that after the oil change and inspection ~500 miles ago. Huh.
We declined any of the additional services and went to pick up our car. Upon arrival, we were informed by no fewer than 3 separate individuals that one of the service techs would be out shortly to discuss the issues with our vehicle. When someone did show up (a pretty short wait), it was to toss us our keys, hand us the paperwork and have us sign for pickup, and point us out the door with nary a word mentioned about any issues with the car. Never once were the completely worn out brakes or PCV valve mentioned, nor were they noted on the paperwork. They DID however note (on the paperwork only, not in person) that the drivers floor mat was worn through and a safety hazard due to missing clips and had been removed - which we found haphazardly tossed in our trunk, rather than disposed of.
When we did go out to the car, it was parked perpendicularly across the incoming traffic for the service center lanes (and not in one of the half-dozen empty parking spots 20 yards away) and took some maneuvering and sideways glances from motorists trying to get around me to get out.
I should note; we set up an appointment immediately to get our car serviced at our normal place. After getting it back, they said we're 4mm from even hitting the wear bars on the front brakes, the rear drum brakes were AOK but maybe could use a cleaning and alignment, the front rotors were OK but getting thin and should probably be replaced in 15,000 miles or so when we come in for the next service interval, and they couldn't find anything in the service manuals about the valve that direly needed replacing, nor was anything out of place noted in their full work-over of the car.
I didn't even call back the service manager, as I'm sure s/he would be Very Sorry and Apologize Very Sincerely And Take Steps To Make Sure This Doesn't Happen Again and probably try to offer something to Make It Up To Us.
Well Service Manager person who's been responding to these reviews, here's something you need to learn at your service center. It takes multiple visits over the course of several years to earn a customer's trust, and precisely one bad experience to lose it forever.
There are three possible scenarios that led to the voicemail we received:
1) Your techs are poorly trained.
2) Your directive is for your techs to take advantage of people who you think might not know their way around a car or would be easily scared in to getting the service done there for convenience and safety's sake.
3) You mixed our information up with someone else's - which speaks poorly of the service center's organizational skills and attention to detail - but given a tertiary issue that's pretty unique to our car and was explicitly mentioned in the voicemail, I strongly doubt it.
I'm not a huge review writer, but cars are a mystery to so many people. If I can steer even one of those people for whom cars are a mystery away from your shop that will take advantage of them and to one that treats them like a family member, I'll happily do so.
Seriously - don't take your car here. Find a small local shop that values your repeat business and will earn it.

I purchased a 2017 Honda Accord with Honda/Toyota of Seattle last weekend and it was a great experience! I worked with Suna Mai, Brahm Turner, and Devin Dawson. All three were very personable, helpful, and fun to work with. I loved that the experience did not feel pushy and I ended up getting the car that was best for me and never felt talked into buying it. I will definitely come back here for the next car purchase!

I've never gone car shopping before, and the staff at Toyota of Seattle were all helpful, friendly, and patient. Both Chris and Debbie were incredibly personable and didn't make me feel pressured, and I never felt uncomfortable with the sales process. I walked out of there with a 2010 Rav4 that hadn't even hit the lot yet, just because I had told them how much I love the Ravs. It was a great experience from start to finish, and I look forward to going back there...later today to give them the keys to my old car. :)

Great set of people, sticks to talking what they know. If you want to buy a Toyota without the worry of someone else getting a better deal because they can haggle better, this is the place for you. They work on fixed price while very very friendly

I brought in my Tacoma for a leaf spring recall and gas pedal recall. Staff were very friendly and seemed very easy to work with. Jay, ASM noticed my truck was lifted, I asked him to call me if there was going to be any issues with the replacement. I didn't get a call, so i assumed everything was ok. When they brought my truck up front, the bed was squatting. The lifting blocks were not put back in, which is fine, but they told me there was nothing there and the truck obviously sits lower in the back, Jay agreed, but we only found the old springs. He said maybe they'll settle in. Next day, I called to speak with a manager to see if they could find the parts and set them aside for me to pick them up, but I couldn't get a hold of one or get a call back in 2 days. This sounds like a trend, the service stops when you leave the lot. Jay asked me to come in a few days to see if we can find the blocks and ubolts, but I'm not hopeful.
I honestly came here because I have friend that works at Burien Toyota and heard interesting stories from him. I'm probably going to be out 200 bucks, but at least I got new leaf springs. Right?
Update: I brought my pick up back yesterday and they put in a brand new rear lift and made it sit level again. I'm really pleased the way it worked out. They really do put the customer first and go out of there way to make sure you're happy. I would totally recommend their service department to those in need.

Friday the 13th, my friend, his mother, and I went to Toyota of Seattle to go look at a used G35X. Moleny was our salesperson and she was very polite and patient with us. She took us up to see the car and let us test drive it. My friend hasn t established credit yet, and even with his mothers help the G35X was going to be a bit hard to get. Moleny took the initiative to grab Johnny to help her with the sale because my friends mother speaks mostly Spanish. Johnny was also very polite and patient with us. They explained to us that the G35X was probably not the best deal for us since it was an older car and the interest would be way higher than if we bought a new car. My friend really wanted the G35X and usually the salespeople wouldn t even help you in a situation like this and would strongly suggest you get a new car. They did both suggest that would be a better deal for us but they didn t push it on us which we appreciated. On the way back to the elevator, we saw the new 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD in a beautiful blue color. We ran over to it to look at it and Johnny had mentioned that we could lease it for a great deal. His mother loved that idea and we changed our minds and ended up leaving with a brand new beautiful truck. They washed it up for us, and even offered to put a big bow on it for the gram! They kept us super comfortable during the whole process and offered us beverages all day. They even let us charge our phones! Moleny and Johnny are the perfect team for the Spanish-English households and are also great individually. I never felt pressured or bad for wanting a certain car. They were there along for whatever ride I decided. I found out Toyota of Seattle salespeople don t work on commission which surprised me because they were both throughly trying to make us happy and I thought it might be for the commission but was very pleased to find out they just care. Strongly recommend Toyota of Seattle! Especially Moleny and Johnny.

This used to be a 5 star review but they've changed a lot recently and during my last visit it seemed to me their primary goal is now extracting as many dollars as possible from their clients instead of providing a quality service.

Bought a new Camry with the help of Yiwen. He was extremely patient with us and went out of his way to inform us and be transparent about our purchasing decision. Yiwen was also very responsive and accessible to facilitate our repeat visits. It was very nice to feel catered to and given consistent attention, and he offered more relevant options as our selection criteria narrowed.

This week, I bought a Camry Hybrid from Toyota of Seattle, and everything about the experience was great. I worked with CK, one of the sales people. She was friendly, well informed, patient and helpful. There is no pressure here; the prices are set (no negotiating, but well below MSRP) and the sales persons do not work on commission. They seem happy and unpressured. Th show room is big and the inventory is large. I recommend Toyota of Seattle and CK to anyone. Paul Kundtz

They (service department) tried to sell me 199$ brake pads (only parts) and when I did research in Toyota website to check the factpry price. I found it is way less than that (parts), i went and talked to parts department (in the same location) , They told me it is only 124$, so I am not sure what was going on. I went to anothet dealership and asked for factory brake pads prices, they told.me 104$. So definitely i was about to get ripped off.
Stay away
