Service dept. is a nightmare

Service dept. is a nightmare each and every tIme. For 4 years I've taken my car here and each time has been horrible. I only took it here because I made the mistake of buying a maintenance agreement. Way too many problems to list. multiple times they've tried to charge me for work that was covered under maintenance and warranty coverage. I had to dispute it and they came back with oopsie that's covered. they also tried to say that something was under warranty but I would have to pay for the alignment due to the warranty fix. yet another
, oh looks like thats covered. appointment times mean nothing. I told the person on the phone why I was bringing it in. I walked in at my appt and was told they would need it all day.tell people that when they make the appt. takes hours just to do an oil change on a scheduled appt. after blatantly lying about warranty coverage I asked if it was safe to drive my car so I could possibly check with a reputable mechanic and they said they had no way to know if it was safe to drive. they wouldn't tell me if my car was still taken apart. guess where I had to get my car fixed? had the car in for maintenance and then a couple months later major repairs and more maintenance is needed. they didn't say the other maintenance work was needed. another 8 hours sitting in their lobby. 30k miles on a honda bought and maintained by seattle Honda is falling apart. There is zero trust in their absolutely shady service dept

So I am a freshly minted graduate from college and I immediately got a job that required a reliable car that I could put many miles on it. I decided to trade in my old car and went to some dealerships with a handful of cars in mind, pre-approval in hand, and an idea of how much I wanted to spend.

I get to Honda of Seattle and was greeted promptly and courteously before being connected with Grace Choi. Grace was very friendly and really listened to what I was looking for before taking me up to a group of cars that fit my criteria and immediately got me test driving some cars. Throughout this whole time, Grace was explaining the cars we were driving, the Honda of Seattle methodology, and getting to know me as a person. She and I shared recommendations on places to visit in Seattle and New York.

After that, I was still wary about what to expect from car dealerships but Grace was very open and willing to keep in touch about cars coming and going at the dealership while I went to other dealerships. When I did go to other dealerships, the difference between them and Honda of Seattle was so obvious. Needless to say, I went back.

Before I doubled down on a car, I looked at some more cars in the Honda of Seattle lot and texted Grace about them. Grace promptly replied and offered to let me drive them ASAP, so I drove down there and tested them. I was not quite sold on them, so Grace offered to let me take a look at some of the cars that were still being detailed. In this group of cars, I found my car-- great condition, great mileage, great price (which she checked with her coworker via phone and immediately got back to me).

Grace made it work: she pulled the car, we drove back to Honda of Seattle, we filled the paperwork out, traded my car, and I swung by a few hours later that day for my car freshly detailed. Not only that, Grace surprised me with the information that the car was certified pre-owned. I felt like I had honestly gotten the best deal ever. Grace snapped a success photo with me and sent me a follow up email and handwritten card afterwards that made me feel so good about my choice.

Even when I came to get my license plates, a gentleman put them on for me and talked with me about our shared career experiences. I have been recommending Honda of Seattle since, and I don't want to work with any other dealerships now. Thank you Grace and Honda of Seattle. I am a huge fan.

Danon at Honda of Seattle (HoS) is a true professional! I accompanied an 18 YO to Honda of Seattle to shop for her first vehicle, a preowned Honda Fit. I can't say enough great things about Danon's interactions with each of us, as well as HoS's approach to selling preowned cars. In each preowned car, they provide a booklet detailing the car's history, Carfax details, service inspection details, reviews of the model, etc. Honda of Seattle was the first dealership we visited and the others paled in comparison. Unfortunately, the particular car we were interested in was sold before we were able to return and we have since found a car from a private seller so we were unable to buy from Danon. I highly recommend asking for Danon at Honda of Seattle. BTW, I now drive my 2nd CR-V and love it!

I went to the Honda service center on Airport Way last Friday. I did not have an appointment, but I did have a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation. Rachel Lee assisted me and explained the process and how long it would take. I returned to Honda 1.5 hr later and the car was done. Rachel explained to me the results of the complimentary vehicle health inspection. Rachel was very thorough in her explanations of which concerns were the most urgent. She is very professional and knowledgeable.

I brought my accord in to have the air bags replaced under the Takata recall campaign. The job was completed in good time as they had promised. But when the service man called to let me know how things were progressing he said that during their inspection they had found that the rear brakes needed to be replaced and the cost would be $440 and that the lower ball joints were in need of replacement and that would cost another $500. The car had just 57000 miles on it so I fugured the brakes could in fact need to be replaced so I had them do that. As to the lower ball joints I decided to wait and was told that that was dangerous and could cause a serious accident when/if they failed and they should be done. I told them that I would take it to my personal mechanic who had known the car from day 1. I called my mechainc and he said that with that low mileage the ball joints were probably ok so i waited until the 60000 mile check and had him confirm the condition of the lower ball joints. He said they were fine and there was no need to do anything to them! With this information I am now questioning whether or not I even needed to have my brakes done. I probably won't be taking my car back th Honda of Seattle again based on this experience. And on top of that I still get notices that my car needs to be brought in for replacement of the air bags.

Excellent service!! ...

Excellent service!! Best buying experience I ve ever had at a car dealership. Thank you Alejandro Farfan for providing excellent service to me and my family. He made sure we Chose the perfect car to fit my family Needs. I definitely recommend coming to Honda of Seattle if your looking to purchase a new vehicle.

In the spirit of transparency I will tell you that I walked in knowing what model, package & color I wanted. We had called the dealer prior to arrival to ensure that they had the exact color, package and model I wanted on a car in their lot. When we arrived the price was the same. The car was perfect and as specified (believe me i got specific). Best car purchase experience I've ever had. They are paid for their work at this Honda by the hour, so there's no commission craziness going on. At least we didn't see any craziness during our transaction... except for laughing with our sales agent over other dealers' quotes.

Bought a 2017 Honda Civic from Rustin, I highly recommend him as your salesperson. He was no pressure from start to finish. He took the time to show us any model and color we wanted. He met our dog. All around a good dude. I ended up going to Honda of Seattle because when I called and Rustin answered the phone I knew right away that he was someone we could work with.

Process was easy, we ended up wanting a car that didn't exist quite yet, the 2017 Civic Hatchback. Rustin was in communication with us as soon as the car got to the dealership. Then we wanted a color and trim level(Metallic, LX) that no one had yet, but Rustin was able to find one in Olympia and have it driven up for us as a dealer trade.

The no hassle pricing deal they do there makes them unlike any dealer I've ever dealt with, the sticker price is the price of the car. I'll probably end up going to Rustin in the next few years to get another car.

Matt Seguin at Honda of Seattle made my car shopping experience a success. I left with a Honda Fit that I love. He was knowledgable about everything I wanted to know and made my time at the dealership hospitable, even fun! I would recommend asking for him when you go to find the car you want.

Since Andrea asked, added some detail why I gave a 2 star. Not a big deal first. I just moved from FL to Seattle, and my odyssey came with 2 year free maintenance (which is not directly from honda). My Honda dealer in FL told me that it should work in other state (I am not sure now, and I have not checked back with them).

I scheduled a maintenance with Honda of Seattle that day, and the customer service just told me that I do not have. So I hope they could help to call my honda dealer in FL to make sure. However, seems he is not happy, and gave me one choice: do it now and pay for it, or I need to be back the other day...

I feel like the customer service is not willing to help at all (maybe because I do not purchase the car there). As a Honda customer, and two Honda car owner from 8 years, I simply do not like this place.

That is the story, and that is why the 2 star review.

Prepare to block 5 numbers and 6 email addresses if they get ahold of your info unless you like being called three times a day and emailed at a similar frequency. NOT TO MENTION if you look at a lot of the five star reviews you can see that they are all in the same format with the same grammar made by account with 1-2 reviews, usually using the first name of the salesperson followed by a sentence praising or two praising them. VERY SUS. IN BEFORE SMUG CONDESCENDING REPLY "FROM THE OWNER"

Ok.

Horrible experience! They sold me a car over priced and almost triple what it is worth. I should of done my research but I was promised it was the lowest price and that I was in great hands. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP TRUST ME!

The staff are helpful and cheery. If you ask they are up front with pricing. My car was taken care of in a few hours this last time! And a huge bonus... free espresso! Who doesn't want a delicious latte, mocha or Americano while they wait in the very modern waiting area.

Went in to get a quote to get my mirror replaced. He said it would cost $507.00 just for the part. I did my research and called other places. Everyone else said it would only cost $380.00 for the mirror. Told the service person and they didn't seem to mind cancelling my appointment.

Honda of Seattle is one among the best Honda Dealer in Seattle and they provide really good service. Recently, I had to visit for my car maintenance service. My service advisor was Donika Delabar, she handled it exceptionally good, offered me a couple of car wash vouchers for free and they had taken care of my car very well. If you re in Seattle and own a Honda vehicle, go for it!

This was my first time getting a new car at a dealership.I had the pleasure of working with Matt Seguin. He walked through all the paperwork and explained to me all my options. Very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in, and even got me the color I wanted. I was very pleased with my experience at this dealership and I plan on coming back.

I know what they say about dealership but this place has earned my business. Brought my car in to get the door lock replaced. Was prepared to spend $300 but one of the techs check my glove box and saw that it was still under warranty until the end of month. Was able to get the lock replaced for free and I've been taking it here ever since

I found the customer service to be at this location to be pleasant and expedient. I brought my 2008 Honda element in for four separate issues, three of which are remedied. The fourth was a shaking form the front end while accelerating. I was told this was due to a faulty transmission mount. It was replaced and the paper work states the vehicle had been test driven and all was well. Unfortunately there is no change leading me to believe the vehicle had not been test driven and I'm still not sure as to what the actual problem is.
Also, not that I'm looking for free anything but for dropping $2000 it'd be nice to pick up a clean car.
At the end it felt more like a turn and burn hi volume shop rather than a business interested in repeat clients.

Friendly service and fair pricing (considering mild dealer mark-up vs mom and pop shop) with our limited exposure. Everytime we've been in there, we've walked away feeling respected, concerns addressed, and overall well serviced.

I have absolutely dreaded every car I have had to buy up until this point. This was absolutely the best experience we have ever received. Not only did Matthew S. keep in touch with me for months, he didn't push me in any direction, was so patient and knowledgeable so that I could make the best well - informed decision for our family. We couldn't be happier with our purchase

Honda of Seattle makes servicing my car a pleasure.
The waiting area is clean, brightly lit and the amenities like Wi-Fi, TV and current magazines help the time pass quickly. If I'd rather not wait there I can also take advantage of the free shuttle service.
The service representatives are polite, informative and helpful. I trust their assessment and their work.
I rate Honda of Seattle excellent in all areas of service.

I had B1 service for my car. I was attended by Keith. He told me every service details, they are going to perform and estimated cost up front and it was very reasonable. He also found a 10% off coupon for me. The service was fast and very satisfactory and he gave me a car wash coupon at the end. Overall nice experience.

They claim they're not pushy but I told them time and time again my budget and they kept pushing a more expensive car on me. I left and took my business elsewhere. I would've given it one star but I gave it three because their new sales guy James is one of the kindest, most respectful and helpful sales people I've ever worked with! Too bad his day off was when I went in the second time.

I came here for my air bag recall. When I showed up, they said they couldn't find the reservation I had made online. After a lot of waiting, they said they would be able to take me. They said it would take 4 hours! I had to wait there and they finished up after about two and a half because of that. They gave me a looong list of suggested repairs with super inflated prices. Waiting area was okay, but not very comfortable, loud music, a few muffins on offer and one of those coffee maker machines.
I wouldn't go here for regular maintenance, but for the recall, I guess it was okay.

I went in to look at buying a used car this week and the sales team at Honda of Seattle was amazing. I am a first time buyer and new to the whole car buying experience. I did A LOT of research before going but it was the sales team there that made me feel like a confident shopper. They took the time to explain their deals, policies, and fees. They patiently answered my millions of questions for me. Not once did I feel pressured, confused, or hurried; nor did I feel taken advantage of - which was what I was most afraid of. I loved how they broke all the prices down for me so that I could see exactly what I would be paying for. They would arrange, rearrange, and rearrange estimates that would help fit my needs. Though, I did not end up getting my car from there, it had nothing to do with them. This is a great place to buy a car from and I will definitely be going there in the future.

Rachel Lee was very helpful and clear in our interaction recently at Honda of Seattle on Airport way. I still need to make a decision about what/when to make some repairs, but she did not pressure me and was friendly and honest in sharing the details of the diagnostic.

I have had my Honda Civic since 2010 and have really appreciated the customer service this Seattle Honda location consistently provides. Since I do not know much about cars, the staff at this location have been extremely helpful. Anna Lui, a service Advisor at this Honda Location really goes above and beyond to ensure that I am really understanding all of my options when caring for my car as well as the pros and cons of each option. Anna is patient with me when I am learning about how to care for my car. Anna is thorough when she explains things and very approachable when I come to her for questions. Because of her guidance, I have not only learned more about how to care for my car, but have always walked away feeling safe driving my car after the service. Also, Chris Kummer was very welcoming and detailed when my mom and I were looking for another car. Chris really took the time to listen to our goals and needs for our future car!

They were going to try to charge me 1100 for new spark plugs and a valve adjustment. I was able to get it done at dere auto for 465 and they fixed my key fob for 12$. I highly recommend not taking your car here unless you feel like getting ripped off.

Chris Berg was very helpful with my experience of buying a used Civic. As a first-time buyer, it was really nice to have someone who could clearly walk me through the process of getting the best insurance and financing options for me. I felt kind of overwhelmed trying to weigh all of my options, but Chris and the other staff were extremely helpful answering all of my questions.
I feel very confident that Honda of Seattle will be very helpful with any maintenance I may need for my car going forward. These people are pros!

Dropped by at Honda Seattle to lease a new CRV. Carlos De Toledo received us and showed around the building. Then took us to test drive and explained each and every feature details. It was a great experience. We didn't feel any pressure and the price details are already posted on the website. Also, no surprise add-ons or any other unexpected costs. Overall experience was smooth and pretty decent. I would recommend Honda Seattle for anyone wants to buy/lease Honda cars. We leased the CRV in the end and car is pretty amazing.

I am a seasoned car buyer and like many people I dread doing to dealerships because they always try to lie, rip us off and so on. Not with Honda of Seattle, where I went for the first time last saturday.

The car specialist, Patrick left me very comfortable showing the inventory for new and used cars, saying in easy language the pros and cons of each brand.

His manager, Mike Clagget, quickly understood my needs and after narrowing down my choice to one car and trim, gave a very fair appraisal on my other/trade-in car. We closed the deal.

The entire process took just 2 hours and lastly I'd like to compliment their complimentary coffee. When's the last time you went to a dealer and liked the coffee?
Keep it up, Honda of Seattle.

I wish if I could give them a 0 star..but unfortunately theres no option.. I went to this dealership after my car crash complaining about how my car all of the sudden went out of control (2017 Honda civic EXT) for some reason and ended up hitting the curb so dangerously that for a minutes I thought that I'm no more.. when I went upto this dealership asking what could have happened the service manager showed me attitude and called sales manager, so it was me service manger and sales manager in the room.. they both literly tried there very best to convince me that I did that crash intentionally.. I was like I want technician to look the car and he told me we don't have any technicians in the dealer since they are not manufacturers.. they said the technician will fly out from Portland.. so basically they were saying there is no technician in Washington.. they forced me so much to agree to what they were saying... service manager was like I have seen the car and I know it that you did something.. and I was like I have witness and he goes we don't care about witness because I'm telling you, you did.. I'm 19 years old girl a college student.. trying to settle my life and they were being so rude arrogant towards me.. they made me cry so much.. I didn't know what to do.. I'm living by myself my mom and dad passed away when I was 13... I worked my ass off to buy this car and bought the warranty as well.. and after they told me that nothing is covered under warranty.. I was so surprised.. they kept my car at there for several days and never told me what could have happened... I was out there about to die.. this could happen to anyone.. they also told me that they are not American Honda they just the regular(private) dealer.. they has nothing to do with American Honda.. this dealership is just about selling cars.. I tried to explain my story.. some of you may understand some of you may not.. but I wish none of you should ever go though the same..

I literally had the BEST car buying experience with Willie R! He was kind enough to come to me so I could test drive the car I was interested in. He was professional and at the same time very personable and made the process comfortable and easy. There was no pressure to buy. I decided to purchase the vehicle, and even had a great experience with the finance department. Who knew buying a car could be a fun experience!? It is when you shop at Honda of Seattle with Willie R. P.S: I LOVE MY HONDA PILOT!

I bought my pre-owned car from Honda of Seattle because they took the time to discuss options that fit my needs and my budget. On March 15 I took my Honda Accord into the Honda of Seattle dealership for servicing. When I drove it home, I noticed the right front side had started bouncing and making a squeaking noise.

So I immediately called the service department, told them about the issue, and scheduled a time to take it back in. Their mechanics looked at it, verified the problem, and said the right front strut was the issue. They agreed it hadn t been an issue when I originally brought the car in for servicing, but claimed the problem appearing after I got it back from them was a coincidence. They offered to replace both struts for $1,600.

Later, I spoke to the manager on the phone and he refused to accept responsibility, offering to replace one strut though that s not standard practice for $460 as a goodwill gesture.

In other words, if you take your car to Honda of Seattle for servicing, they ll break it and charge you to fix it then tell you they re doing you a favor.

HONDAs are great and reliable automobiles. Honda of Seattle lives up to the high standards set by the parent company. My wife & I have purchased 3 cars from them: a 1984 Civic; then a 1994 Civic; and most recently a 2012 Fit. In each instance this dealership has provided service to us above and beyond the call of duty. Their large staff is invariably friendly, helpful, polite, and accommodating. They make it easy to drop a vehicle off for scheduled service, and their shuttle service makes everything very easy. We expect to return to purchase yet another Honda right around 2024! Thanks once again

Sold me an overpriced hondacare package. ($3k on a low mileage CRV) Told me it would cover basic maintenance. (It does not) I had to go in in-person to fill the paperwork to cancel it. I called hondacare 2.5 months later to confirm it had been cancelled and they told me the dealership never submitted the paperwork to them. Now doing more waiting with a useless warranty.

Also - the repair shop will try to sell you unnecessary work that your car does not need. Avoid at all costs.

First time service customer. I have been having some electrical issues with the windows/trunk, and the sunroof broke. Replaced within 24 hours all under warranty. All working fine now. Also had an oil change, which was a little pricey. The shuttle dropped be off at home in downtown Seattle, which was really convenient.
