I have used Rockauto in the past a lot without any issues and have been pleased. Recently I ordered 6 oil filters and they came all in a single box with no packing between them. Several had dents. Are they still useable...probably so. But the lack of pride and lack of giving consideration to customer satisfaction is disappointing. 30 seconds of better wrapping would have resulted in a happy customer. I contacted Customer Service and they just relayed me to another website without considering a reply to my concerns.

After surfing the myriad of flashy HTML websites for the performance brake upgrade in which I was interested, I finally took a leap of faith with RockAuto. While the website is not flashy, I was able to quickly find the EXACT parts recommended for my vehicle...I didn't have to guess. I received my packages within 3 days and had a core refund within 2 days of returning caliper cores (something none of the other sites I visited even mentioned). The process was seamless, easy and eliminated any anxiety I had about ordering auto parts online. I will DEFINITELY use RockAuto for my next purchase!

Absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced in this line of work. I ordered Plenum Gaskets and other gaskets for an Audi to do a carbon clean up. I ordered the parts online and had them priority mailed to me. When the Plenum gaskets came in, only 1 gasket was in the box and the other 5 were missing. I went online and made a request for the other 5 gaskets to be shipped and I also called customer service about have them shipped overnight since I needed to have this car back together in a timely manner. They said NO and that it wouldn't probably ship till tomorrow (Friday) and that " I would be lucky if it was delivered by Monday". After a few minutes of me asking why they could not have it overnight mailed to me since it was messed up on their end, I was told that I would have to pay $28 to have it mailed overnight. The guy was a jerk that I spoke to and I will never recommend this kind of customer service to anyone no matter how much I disliked that person. I've lost money making sure my customers are happy because they come back and spend more money.

Your company is run by crooks. My bank has a transaction called ROCK AUTO in the amount of $175.36. It does not say pending, it says you were payed. The money is gone from my account to ROCK AUTO MADISON WI. I never received an order number or confirmation email.
Since that I've canceled all 6 pending orders on your website (6 because if your card declines, ROCK AUTO will just keep trying the charge over and over) and now would like to know where my $175.36 went, and how it will be refunded to me.
Trying to talk to your customer support has been hell, with very short answers and no real solutions. Customer support is limited online with little to no help. They avoid phone calls and ignore emails asking for help. This is not a business, it's a mugging with a cover story.

I have to keep 2 vehicles running mine and my wife's. So price does mean quite a bit our funds are limited like most folks are . I always check Rock Auto and I check the local parts house online because you get a discount online. Rocks web site is easy to navigate and the parts are easy to find.
Personally I have only had one issue. I ordered a pair of shocks for the front of my truck and a head light pod for her car. One of my shocks was missing from the order. one phone call to them cleared it up and the shock was on its way . I really like Rock auto and would recommend them to any body .

Have returned parts I found I didn't need and have never encountered a problem. Their prices and shipping are great and my personal experience has been exceptional. I would be suspicious if someone at one time or another weren't happy with some aspect, but my own experience has been great.

If you do manage to contact them they it is through email and generally blame it on some one else and close the claim.

Missing parts in order. Went to site to fill out return. Replacement parts totalled $50 from dealership. Placed that total in the system, it accepted. Stated refund would be issued within few days.

Few days later I find out whoever issues refunds decided to only give me ten of it. Apparently whoever runs returns can pick and choose what a part costs depending on how they feel that day.

Apparently we have a bunch of Donald Trumps running this office. Pick and choose prices based on how they feel that day.

I ordered a Powerstop rotors and pads kit for the front of my 2005 Pontiac Vibe. It was at least $50 cheaper than anyone else. I used the bank pay arrangement last Saturday. By 8:10 AM Monday I was notified my payment was credited. The parts were picked up by Fedex Ground at 10 am. They were delivered Wednesday afternoon at 1:10 PM. I installed the parts Thursday morning. The braking performance is an amazing upgrade. Thank you RockAuto. I will continue to do business with you.

When I raised the issue with Rockauto, they refused to do anything until 7 days past the due date of delivery. Meanwhile, I have a vehicle torn apart inside my shop taking up work space. First, let me say that FedEx is god awful. Something can go out for delivery, then go back to the destination, then leave that destination for over 36 hours, and still no word. Ridiculous this day and age.

Parts have been decent. Good values. Half have been packed sub par over 4 orders in 8 months. 2 arrived in good time (USPS), one went out for delivery for 4 Consecutive days before it got delivered, and this most recent one.

Personally I won t use rock auto again until they offer a better choice of shipping options. I don t see how one order can only be Fedex or DHL, and the next can only be USPS and Fedex....

I needed to return a couple of parts....but was past the 30 days, so no refund or credit. They deny your return request with a computer algorithm....So millennial of them! Yet - their "advanced" software cannot help you to choose the correct size rotors. Example - enter in your VIN to get exact part fit. No - but, automatically deny your return request - Heck yes! So - realize what you are getting - a company that focuses on denying returns and service vs serving the customer. I emailed with Ashley and spoke with Joshua...explaining this. Lost income and had to pull apart front end of Jeep again to get part out and redo. They did return my call but took no responsibility in my loss. Thought they would at least pick up cost in expediting another part option. Why would I ask for another replacement of a poorly manufactured product? So I go to my local Ford dealer, and the price is so high that I decided to hold the broken pieces together with clear packing tape. I've been buying parts for an '05 Dodge Magnum and a '10 Toyota Rav4. Had good experiences and prices and selection are good; I like having the options for economy, standard and premium.*

Very up-front about shipping time and cost, including which warehouse items will come from and how multiple warehouses affect shipping costs.

The one (unsurprising) caveat is that shipped parts take a little time to arrive; parts you need NOW! will still come from the local car-parts store.

* If I may offer an observation (unrelated to RockAuto): cheap brake parts have a low purchase price. *Inexpensive* brake parts are good enough to keep you out of wrecks.

I had purchased an item from RockAuto and a couple of days later decided I didn't need it and wanted to cancel my order. The site said it had shipped even though the tracking showed it was still at their warehouse. This company does NOT have a customer service department they claim it helps keep the prices low even though they are about average once shipping costs are factored in. It's two more days until Fedx picks up my order. The original delivery date was Friday January 29th 2021, but has been delayed until Monday. As of today the package is still in the vicinity of RockAuto's warehouse! I have to pay for return shipping plus my time and the expense to drive it back to Fedx. Then who knows how many days it will take to get the items back to RockAuto for inspection, and ultimately refund what's left of my money after deducting the return shipping costs. ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED if given a chance to talk to someone in their shipping department. I have learned a hard lesson and will remember it each and every time I need a part or someone asks me where to go to find a good parts warehouse. RockAuto will not be my first choice.

All the experiences have been very good, all the parts for a chevrolet blazer of 99 were correct. The problems begin when the shipments are made by mail to Spain, until you get to postcard (Company that manages international mailings in Spain) there are delays in deliveries of up to two months and a lot of "BURROCRACIA" worthy of a banana country, if not the disappearance of the packages. By FedEx, UPS or DHL without problems improve the service.

I recently purchased several items using the RockAuto website, I entered in the correct information for my vehicle. Correct, because it correctly identified 2 of 3 items. They have that history with their system.

The incorrectly identified item was a simple engine air filter. Not even a close match. I was running up against the "return time period" deadline when I identified the mistake. Vacation and hurricane issues put me past the deadline.

Ultimately, this is RockAuto's mistake and any company that recommends / identifies and sells a customer the wrong item is fully responsible for correcting the issue.

I am unable to reach the company to discuss the matter and allow them the opportunity to do good and fair business. By law, they should be given every opportunity to correct any issues before any claims are made against them. By insulating themselves from the customer on matters such as this, they give up their right to avoid their own costs incurred due to their own mistakes.

Potential and existing customers, don't let life get in the way of making your repairs with parts from RockAuto in a timely manner. It will cost you. Should you incur such costs, be sure to voice your opinion of their operations, policies and procedures. Quite possibly they will incur a cost greater than yours through lost orders due to lack of confidence generated by the policies in place. There is a no lack of on online auto parts dealers as well as brick and mortar stores who will gladly support you when they make a mistake.

Customer service has gone from some of the best (when they could be reached by phone), to now some of the worst (they can now only be reached via email). If something happens to your order, they will refuse to investigate until 7 business days have passed, which is just ridiculous customer service. I will be looking up the part numbers on their website, and then using Amazon to order them from now on, losing orders and refusing to help through dismissive emails is just unacceptable.

It does no good to try to save money on parts and then pay high shipping for the product not to get to you until after you need it.
A friend of mine suggested that I try RockAuto, so I did.
One of the reasons I bought from RockAuto was the delivery date shown.
It is now that date, and I find out that some of my parts came but not all of my parts came because they are stuck at another service center and won't get to me until tomorrow evening which is 24 hours too late.
Now I have to go down the street and pay more for my parts, something that I was trying not to do, and not to mention the fact that I've wasted an hour of my life with this ordeal. $13 in shipping wasted, plus major hastle.
And they don't even have a customer service department that you can speak to. Wow
Can't say I'd recommend rockauto to anybody.

Every order has been correct, all OEM part numbers match, couldn't be happier with RockAuto. Only draw back was a bad experience with a live customer service agent while calling in. I really don't blame RockAuto. He must have been having a bad day or I was distracting the CS agent. Over all I have been very happy with RockAuto's parts, prices and fast shipping.

They did not fit and when i tried to return them they would not allow them to be returned and they blocked me out of their customer service. You cannot actually speak with anyone so trying to get resolution is absolutely impossible. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I recommend anywhere else that has live people to deal with.
