I have been ordering from Rock Auto for about 4 years, various parts for my Hondas, Dodge 3500 Van, Ford Ranger, and Ford Aspire, brake parts, timing sets, window motors, etc.
Never had a problem with anything not fitting, and most parts were name brand (Gates, NAPA, etc.) Best part, they occasionally have "supplier closeouts" that they notify me about, and then I REALLY save money.

I've just placed my first order on a co-worker's recommendation and i have to say that so far, I am pleasantly surprised. The prices and selection can't be beat! I have a friend that works for a parts store and Idon't think he could beat the prices, even with shipping.

Every time I have used Rockauto everything has been great and my deliveries arrive sooner than estimated. So far, I have had no problems with finding the parts I need, ordering, or compatibility of replacement parts.

I've used these guys for years without any problems, I always trusted them and recommended them, my fridge is covered with their magnets. I ordered headlights for my Taurus, they were so cheap they wouldn't fit. When I returned them they charged shipping. If they're going to sell parts, they darn well need to fit! And, if the parts don't fit, RockAuto needs to eat the return cost! Oreilly Auto is just as convenient to deal with.

10 days to send a small part, I usely get a part within a 2 to 3 days. I think they are messing with me because I ordered spark plugs a few weeks back and because a worker (picker) had to open a box they broke them up , that what I get for ordering a couple extras. They sent the new ones and they were sent all over the country before they got to me like 10 days and now they are take it to the next level and all my orders are going all over the country. this is so wrong, shame on them all I did was make a order for my parts. this is the end of my buying part though ROCK AUTO

Rock auto parts is good choice when you your buying parts for you car.But its for a client go to your local auto parts because if it's the wrong part they gave you,You can exchange it right away and most of the time it comes with lifetime warranty.

Good selection of parts. Shipping costs add up quickly as parts come from numerous warehouses. They offer NO customer service if you have a problem.

Easy and simple to use website. Good quality parts almost always less than auto parts stores. I highly recommend them. So far, no issues with them. I don't dig the fact that they have a 30 day return/exchange policy. Sometimes people don't get around to it within that time frame, if they are spending their money for the part plus S&H they should be able to return/exchange any time within, say, 6 months.
I also had some time to read some reviews from other customers on the rockauto website. The fact that, If You Accidentally order the Wrong Part, and they Don't Help You out really bugs me. We're all human, mistakes happen. Be more understanding RockAuto.

Morons. Charge you for a higher priced item then keep sending same misboxed part. They should have to pay for lost time and incredible aggravation.

This place is an embarrassment to the state of Wisconsin it's just a front office most of the stuff is shipped out of Texas which interesting Lee enough as a similar address for Carquest. Customer service is non-existent they're supposed to respond to emails but seldom do parts arrive in packages that are always heavily damaged and sometimes the wrong Parts which makes me think it's a Clearing House for damaged parts

Rock Auto's website is easy to use, easy to find parts. I have always received what I ordered and parts have been of great quality. Pricing is always better than the walk in stores. No negative issues at all. I would recommend Rock Auto to anyone that doesn't need their part on the same day - you pretty much have to go to the store at that point.

I ordered parts for my wifes Caravan, but ordered the wrong year, it was simple to return the parts. My monies were refunded quickly. I reordered the correct parts and was just notified they are on the way. With the time to wait a day or two I will use Rock auto every time. Part was delivered promptly and earlier than promised. It was an OEM brand that was almost half price and I get an employee discount!

I could ramble on and on about how great RockAuto is but I'll make this short and sweet. RockAuto, you really "rock" with your easy to follow info, your quick service, the best prices anywhere and the most courteous service dept I've ever dealt with. I'm 84 years old, do all the repairs on our 3 vehicles and without you guys I wouldn't have saved those big $$$$$. Thank you again for helping us old folks on fixed incomes.

Somewhat difficult finding the correct part but after I got the hang of the site it became easy. Checkout was simple and lots of payment options.

FAILED FUEL PUMP CAUSES INJECTION PUMP TO FAIL. ROCKAUTO S POLICIES WON T ALLOW WARRANTY CREDIT AND WON T COVER DAMAGE COSTS. GOODBYE ROCKAUTO
On January 25, 2018 I bought a Rockauto lift pump for my 2001 RAM diesel. I replaced my existing lift pump even though it was working fine because I knew how important the lift pump was for protecting the injection pump. Slightly over one year later their lift pump failed, also taking out my injection pump. The lift pump had been professionally installed. The lift pump cost me $145 (and $130 for installation) but the rebuilt injection pump cost me over $2000. I contacted Rockauto, telling them that their part was responsible for the injection pump failure and they should pay for its repairs. I basically got a form email back telling me where to file a warranty claim on the lift pump. THEN, later, I found out that since it had been a year my only warranty option was for a replacement pump; no cash, no credit, no nada!
I have bought four parts from Rockauto - and two of them have been defective (the other was a brake caliper). I was pretty grumpy after paying TWICE for the installation of the brake caliper but I am beyond angry at the huge costs to repair damage from their failed lift pump which they will only replace, not giving credit. The most upsetting part of this, however, is the impersonal, unsympathetic way they responded to my situation! I see no reason to purchase anything from them again. Those shops that offer 24 month NAPA parts and labor warranties are looking very, very good!

Found a huge mass of spare parts for my SAAB 9-7x. Guess it to be a good place for exceptionnel vehicles. Impressed thru the easy way of ordering parts even from abroad.

All parts that I have ever ordered always come from a reasonable close location and I generally have the part in had within 2-3 business days. Parts that I have ordered fit perfectly and work great. I would recommend to anyone to buy your parts here. Even with shipping, the cost is always better then the local Auto parts store.
Plus, the fridge magnates are really sweeten the deal.

Then I moved to Canada in Feb-2017 and it is January-2021 now and I am still ordering my auto parts from Rock Auto. Even with customs my parts are cheaper and arrive faster to my doorstep then In-Canada orders. That says it all.

Used to tell everyone to go here. Will never do that again!! Impossible to reach a human. Order parts that don't fit because their description is unclear and now have to pay to return them. Confusing how to select return shipping label/s and now an stuck with 1 label to send back 4 rotors and pads and cant reach anyone to ask how to change the number of return labels from 1 to 2. I am 100% DONE with rockauto.

Terrible customer service and unreliable! Paid extra for 3 day shipping, but they forgot to ship on the correct day from their end, so the package is sitting in a fedex distribution center all weekend. They refused to call fedex to help move it along.

Grate prices, best service, and always quality part. if you can wait for the shipping date to get your parts then this is the place to get your auto parts.I haven't found one mechanic in my area that can match rockAutos price. they have told me when i tell them the cost of the part, that even with there discount at different auto parts stores as full time mechanics they cant match price with Rockautos. this is no B---s--t

I will no longer use rock Auto they have given me around for the last time I ordered parts and they all are late 2/3 days they give me excuse of the viruse but I get my parts from other sources I called FedEx and they tell me it's rockouto and rockouto tels me it's FedEx well I see FedEx up n down my street 4/5 times a day so And I just ordered a nother part from the same area and got it 3 days so I think it's rockouto and they don't want to make it right so I will never use you again for anything and I will let others and customers know as well

I have found that ordering anything from this company is an absolute buyer beware situation. Even a friend of mine was unfortunate enough to find this out when he ordered an alternator from them. The product was boxed up with no protective packaging whatsoever so naturally when it finally reached its destination it had signs of major abuse and was so damaged it was useless and they did not offer him a refund of any kind. This and other horrible experiences with this company is precisely why i will NEVER buy anything else from them.

So why the 4* rating. Price and service. On a full exhaust replacement on my subaru this place will save over 800 bucks over anybody's parts price. Sure support your local parts store when you can, but that difference is to large to ignore.

It's rare to have a problem, but on a job where I was using a really obscure part, they went above and beyond to try to get it right. It's mail order, so shipping takes some time, and I do not like their multi point shipping model, so that adding a single $2.00 item could ad an additional $7 in shipping cost and unless you check your cart's estimated shipping after every item you will never know it. They could consider updating their website to instantaneous calculation, but that might be pricey. It's not Amazon but it works.

So not perfect but when you are facing a couple of big jobs in a year,, this could save your family's vacation budget.

Horrible experience. Purchased a new set of Rotors for my car and they sent me the wrong type for my vehicle. Past 70 days so there return policy states i cannot return them even though they are in the same box. I am out about $75 because of their mistake.
Done with rockauto for good and will be passing this info on to all I know.

The site was very easy to locate the part I wanted and place my order.

I would never do business with these people again. I purchased a set of brake calipers that I was not able to put on my truck. I asked for a return on line and got a receipt to send them back. I was cleaning out my garage the other day and found the box with the parts and receipt . The receipt had a return date that had passed. I called them and they were not willing to extend the period. OK, I get it.

However, they had also charged me a $44 per caliper core charge that will also never be used to send back my old parts. I asked them to refund the core charge since I was stuck with the parts and they also said they would not refund the core charge. Free money for them, I guess, but lost any future business from me.

The prices are better from rock auto, but after you pay the shipping cost it almost comes out the same as other online parts sites

Wow as I read reviews online I'm seeing a trend. RockAutosold me a part for my car that does not fit, despite what was reported on your website. The customer service team has refused to help in any way. I urge you to take responsibility for the product you sell!

Seamless transaction. Shipping instant. Pricing on premium brand parts is so much less than the auto parts chains, this coming from a person retired after 45 years in automotive.

Parts were delivered quickly, were as ordered, cost about of the local suppliers, and the site was easily navigated. Unless you need parts immediately, this is undoubtedly the way to go.

Every time I order parts from Rock Auto the experience is superb! Part ordered has always be the correct part, if I have any question the customer service person(s) have always been polite, courteous and you feel they really want to help to get it right the first time. Very few companies I deal with are this good. That's why I am a repeat customer. The ability to track your order is great so you know when the part will be at your door step. i ordered 2 headlamps & was sent 2 of the same side, an error on their part. I returned the part w/ the invoice as instructed & was sent the same part i sent back, a 2nd time. This time i was asked to pay for the shipping, which i reluctantly had to agree to, because of the need for the other part. Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm. delivery is excellent, but if you needed to speak with someone GOOD LUCK !!!

Bought a replacement engine from them $3,400 plus tax got the engine pretty quick installed it and noticed a slight tick on the bottom end.. Called rockauto.. They say call ATK call ATK they say change the oil and drive it.. Mind you this was a brand new engine so I change the oil and continue driving keeping them updated about the tick that progressed to a knock was getting worse.. Well about 2 weeks go by like this and the motor exploded... Literally exploded 300 miles on the engine had to pull the motor out and send it back to ATK for them to "inspect it" to see if they will warrantee it... I don't understand I paid over 3000$ for this engine that blew up after 2weeks and 300 miles had to wait 8 days for the motor to get to them for inspection now they are telling me 10-15 buissness days for them to find the cause of the problem it's been 2 months now no response from them and I'm out over 3000$ and a engine for my truck... They took my old motor as a core charge so literally truck is in my driveway with no engine for it

Hard to find Fiero parts, are no problem for RockAuto. Delivery is fast and parts are packed very securely. And they have a great selection of alternative brands. I have found that there prices are less then half the price of the so-called Fiero Specialty shops. Apparently it is impossible to find out any information, other then what is on the site.

I gave them 5 stars because they got it right. Right price ,right quality(excellent), right parts, and right delivery 4 days. Good experience.
