Ordered a tank sending unit according to their specifications listed in their catalog search. When we got it in it was the wrong one. We sent it back and ordered the right one. They called and told us that they would not give us credit for the wrong one because it smelled like diesel fuel. So now we are out over $700 when I could have got it at the local Ford dealer for around $450. I guess you live and learn.

I Have been a satisfied customer for over 10 years. Until now Due to the Covid 19 virus I was not able to do the brake job on my 2005 Chevy Malibu. When I went to install the rotors [Centric CE120.62078] I purchased the rotors on May 1 2020 order#139033842 they were larger than my original rotors and caliper bracket wouldn't fit. I just opened the box in early September and one is still sealed in box. All I want to do is exchange these for right parts. There is no way I am allowed to do this and will be stuck with these. They are still brand new and haven't decided to purchase the right ones from you and take the loss or shop elsewhere. Chedda53@gmail.com

When the secretary answered the phone, I explained that I needed to speak to a person and not search around on this maze of a web site. Then he rudely hung up on me. With shipping it costs me $34.00. just ordered so can't evaluate the part or shipping but for 1/3 the price, I am very happy so far . . .

Better keep an eye on any orders placed as Rock Auto will appear to have all items in stock, and then not ship your order over one item found short (ordered major A/C components, returned from a convention to find parts not delivered, Rock Auto found they had only 6 of 10 O-rings, so did not ship anything!). Did not expect to have to watch over them. Any competent seller should look over their mistakes and consider what is a reasonable solution that will be best for the customer. Holding a major order when you find you are several o-ring short now hurts my customer. I could find an O-ring locally, if I needed more than the six they had in stock! But now I have to source major components to get this car completed. Also, another concern: shipping will eat you up, as they have parts in so many locations, that you will have multiple ship charges for misc items to complete a repair. Expensive. Time consuming to correct when you discover this at checkout.

Horrible company to do a return with. I had a broken part that was still in warranty. They wanted me to pay for the return shipping.. on a damaged part in warranty. No thanks. Two weeks later I had a core return to send to them. I put the link in the box with the cores. The received the box with the cores but they lost the returned broken part. They are now charging me for a replacement part. Horrible customer service.

Shady doesn t even begin to describe their business practices. Used the online part finder, got the part, and surprise, it s the wrong part for my car. I sent them the links to their own pages where the wrong product was listed and they closed my ticket and bounced my emails back twice. No explanation, no nothing just a we ve got your money now go away.

Do a quick search of reviews and it seems that one of their main money makers is to scam consumers with their parts finders or outright sending used/defective parts. RockAuto shouldn t be in business.

I bought a DNJ timing belt with water pump kit for Honda recently and it is broken after having 1500 miles on it. Their warranty policy is to replace with another poart, but I don't want to use again same poor quality product. Rockauto is not ready to refund though I sent the broken part. They do have cheap qualtiy products, please do your research before you buy. Apart from this, Rockauto order processing and customer service is good.

This is the third time I have ordered from Rockauto. I thought the first two times may have been a fluke. When I order it gives me all the upfront costs shipped to my door in Canada with no hidden surprises. Even with duty and taxes and exchange its still much cheaper and I always compare. This last order was a set of Monroe strut assembly's (172261) which came complete with spring and all. From part source with tax for a pair was $604 CAD everything in but I would still need to pick them up. Rockauto price $351 CAD a pair shipped to my door everything in. From the time I ordered to my door step was 5 working days. Parts are right every time. I will defiantly shop here from now on

I've replaced timing belts, brakes, regular service items, done complete engine rebuilds, full power steering system rebuilds and I've only had two problems out of hundreds of parts. In both cases customer support was very quick and very knowledgeable. Starting a new engine rebuild now and will buy mostly from Rockauto.

The price was great and the delivery excellent. Just what I have come to expect from previous orders placed. They used to have a phone number so you could call and check if the part was right when there were multiple options listed. They used to be helpful and would find out if they weren't sure. Now you just get a recorded message saying they do not know any more info than what's listed. Unfortunately that is not helpful. So I won't be able to shop here anymore. That's a shame because I used to use these guys all the time.

If the part doesn't fit, YOU have to pay to return it. And if you attempted to install the part, no refund. How else can you determine that a part won't fit?

When looking at their low prices, remember that from time to time an order will go wrong and it will be YOUR problem.

Their slogan is "All the parts your car will ever need". This is untrue. I've searched for numerous parts and found that they don't carry all the parts MY car will ever need. I imagine I'm not the only one that can say this. This is pure false advertising and should be stopped. I will report it via other channels but at least you can see in the meantime. Do not support a business that misleads consumers

Great web site easy to navigate. Great selection of parts and in most cases you can choose the manufacturer. Shipping has been fast. Core refund process is painless and they credit you as promised, 3 days after receipt and they e mail confirmation of the credit. Prices consistently beat the big "A" parts store, embarrassingly so. I've done rotors, pads,calipers and shocks & struts. Shipping has been reasonable, just select your choice,for me cheapest has been fed ex or USPS.

A friend of mine recommended RockAuto to me and I tried it. All informations for each part are on the website and it was easy to find the parts I needed. I took the more expensive ones but I saved 50% what Toyota ask me for. So I was really happy. Additionally I ordered the faster shipment on Monday and all arrived here 2 days later. I liked that they also spoke german, so I could ask some questions on the phone easily . So I would highly recommend RockAuto and want to say Vielen Dank for that fast service.

I ordered $489 worth of Moog chassis parts as well as a few other items with my most recent purchase. My wife and I have a automotive repair ministry and do a lot of work out of my garage.

I have sent many customers to purchase their parts from Rock Auto as their prices are great! However if you're in need of customer service (i.e. return for missing or damaged items), you'll quickly realize that you should purchase your parts locally going forward. Two of the Moog control arms were shipped in the manufacturers packaging only with no other packaging to protect them. This packaging is insufficient for shipping and is merely meant to house the part while it sits on a shelf. The ball joints were hanging out of the boxes and were damaged when delivered.

Rock Auto (these days...it is quite difficult to get a representative on the phone with this company) authorized the return and provided instructions to drop them off at a Fedex location. I realize you're e-commerce but there are situations that arise that require a phone call...period! I drive to Fedex and they refuse to take the packages due to insufficient packaging. Imagine that! I call Rock Auto again (I have to purposesly choose the incorrect IVR options so that I can speak to a human, however, not before running into several dead-ends that point you back to their website), and this time they schedule a Fedex pickup right from my home with the disclaimer that the items are already damaged. A week goes by with no credit and Fedex shows up and returns one of the two damaged ball joints with a tag stating return to sender due to damage! Are you kidding me? I spoke with Rock Auto customer service (if you want to call it that) and received even more attitude than all of the last 3 representatives. It will be 4 weeks before I receive a refund by the time this ordeal is resolved. In the meantime, my customer's car sits in my driveway on a weekend waiting for parts! Unacceptable Rock Auto! I had no choice but to go to a local auto parts store and purchase the same Moog controls, but what a blessing that turned out to be as they matched Rock Auto's prices (including shipping of course)! Good riddance Rock Auto... you lost all of my business as well as all of my customers' business! Shame on Fedex as well... a complaint was filed!

Credit cards get charged or held even though it says you still need to pay the bill....they do refund it so they don't keep it but is extremely difficult to place order . They keep saying card address don't match then you wait for them to return money and try again with everything double and triple checked and still a no go. GOOD LUCK. IF YA HAVE PATIENCE YOU CAN SAVE A LOT OF MONEY . IF YA DONT I WOULDNT EVEN TRY

I love rockauto more than the brick and mortar stores.

I have ordered many parts form rockauto and have always had a great experience.

I had to return a part once and it was my fault ordering the wrong part and the return process was very easy.

Lost a part in shipping once at the fault of the carrier I guess and customer service was a pleasure to deal with. They wasted no time getting me the part I needed reshipped which was a big plus.

All other purchased I made had no issues at all and I save a lot of time and money ordering from rockauto verses the brick and mortar stores.

All in all I think it is very beneficial for my wallet to order from rockauto online if you don't need the part immediately or if the other guys have to order it anyway. Just as well order it my self and have it shipped to my own house.

I was looking for a part for my 1992 Eurovan, certainly something I cannot get locally! While searching on internet I saw Rock Auto s site took a look and turns out they had the part I needed and it was a great price! I ordered the part on a Friday afternoon and it showed up at my doorstep mid day Monday. That is fast considering I live in Western Canada, I had part installed that afternoon and it works perfect !

I will definitely shop RockAuto going forward, I was looking up other parts for another vehicle I have and they have those as well at great pricing even with the exchange rate. Thanks for the great parts selection, pricing and fast service !

I've been dealing with RockAuto for a several years now and have to say I highly recommend them to everybody that has problems with many parts on their vehicles. RockAuto's prices are usually 1/3 of what your local franchise are sometimes less than that. By local franchise I mean the big name auto parts places around you. If I order the wrong part which has happened before RockAuto will either give me a store credit or refund to my method of payment once they receive the part back minus postage. If I get a defective part(which is rare) they will also do the same thing as well. I am always grateful for finding RockAuto and continue to recommend them to all!! I haven't seen any other auto parts places beat their prices.

Recently purchased a distributor made by CARDONE. According to the catalog these parts are re-manufactured and I bought the part based on that information. After the mechanic installed it, he showed me the box and there in VERY small print is "Made in China"! If not fraud, the website is certainly misleading.

Instead of the normal one-hour installation, it took the mechanic three hours to make this thing work. I'm keeping the old part for I don't expect this one to last long.

Bought front and rear shock absorbers for my 1959 Cadillac. None of them fitted without modification (i.e. cutting metal), and one of the parts kits was missing the nuts. Contacted their Service Team and they referred me to an automated questionnaire which told me I was entitled to nothing. I have been a customer for years - this is the first time I have had an issue.

I am located in Australia, so shipping goods back is not a viable option. Impersonal customer service with a handball approach doesn't work and never will. Reading some of the reviews, it seems I am not the only one.

I will vote with my wallet and not buy from RockAuto again.

If there are no problems, it will be a nice transaction. If you have a little issue, it will be magnified due to the lack of a customer oriented culture (and probably incompetence). They don't own mistakes, Rockauto doesn't stand by its customers when the carrier fails to deliver. They play the waiting game when it's obvious that an expensive express delivery is lost (it's Rockauto who needs to claim compensation to Fedex).
They charge Canadian taxes on transport service that is hired and provided in the USA.
They don't have phone customer support, only email, and it's rude.
Prices have gone up markedly, specially if you factor the expensive shipping.
They are using a paid customer review site (customerlobby) so their bad reviews are filtered or answered if there is any chance to blame the client (my well documented review was never published).
Do yourself a favor and check BBB or trustpilot customer reviews, and thank me later.

I ordered a fuel pump and received piston rings instead. They refused to correct the problem in a timely manner. They wanted to wait until I shipped the wrong part back the would only send the correct part by ground. This is totally their fault and mistake but would not fix the issue. I could not wait another week for them to fix their incompetence. Will use another site from now on. They just lost a loyal customer. Read this review before you order from here.
