I had my car scheduled to be inspected on Wed. the last day of Oct and during a visit to the Veterans ctr someone hit my car breaking out my tail light. At 74 I didn't want to report it as I have 500. deductable and all they would do is increase my Ins Rates. They do not sell Suzuki anymore os I wasn't sure where or when I would find the part but saw the ad on TV for Rock Auto and decided to look it up. I was shocked to find the part so easily and at a price I could actually afford. Social Security isn't that great I ordered it and to my suprise it was delivered the 2nd day. You guys Rock !!! THANK YOU !!!

I've had previous dealings with Rock Auto and they've all been pretty positive, but this time there was a problem with my order and getting it resolved has been a frustrating experience. They have an excellent site design, but when it came to reporting parts missing from my order it did not fall neatly into their design as I'm sure 90%+ of the other orders do. I would give the automated online system a thumbs down. In the end i didn't feel like my issue was addressed or resolved properly. Trying to reach a live person to make sure this issue got handled correctly also became a quest onto it's self. When I was finally able to locate a contact number their automated system continued to direct me back to the site to resolve the issue. After I was finally able to get a live person though, I felt like my issue got addressed and was taken care of.... I would still recommend them for parts but buyer beware if you need to contact their customer service dept.

I made a purchase on parts for my vehicle. I then switch jobs to go from part time work to full time work. However there was a longer than normal amount of time between the two jobs, like three plus weeks off without pay and then waiting an additional two weeks for my first paycheck. I was finally able to save up the money for the labor side of the service only to have the technician report to me that one of the parts was defective. Was it him or the part, i do not know for sure. The technician had my vehicle on a lift and therefore needed to complete the job and hence I approved him buying another part from the local supplier to help facilitate getting the job done. When I reviewed Rock Auto's return policy I was saddened to see that I had missed the thirty day window as per the time I had acted 55 plus days had passsed. I sent an email to Rock Auto expressing my circumstances and low and behold they shot me a full refund!!!!! I was so pleased as per monies are tough to come by! Great job Rock Auto hitting the GRAND SLAM that my home team needed so bad! Thank you, Sincerely, Mike Cook!

Defective break parts on not 1 not 2 but 3 of the caliper's I purchased with a 4 wheel everything break job rotors are fine for now I guess same with pads but now I lost 620 dollars for a botched break job and I'm not rich so it will take a minute to get the things I need to stop the right way on my only vehicle.

Awful customer service. Do not shop here. The took my core, and sent a bad part to me that does not fit. They do not wanna return everything to the original state. My core value more than their faulty new part. They made me like a kid. Now i have to pay 6 times more than i payed them. I do not even wanna talk about shipping charges.

I had a mechanic go on rockauto.com anf order all the parts I needed for my Audi. The parts rockauto sent didn't fit for my vehicle. Mind you I ordered HUNDREDS of dollars worth parts. My shipping was over $100. Every other parts supplier offers free shipping when you spend $100 or more with them. Now I have to ship the parts back to rock auto that they recommended for my year make & model at my cost! This company is a rip off and TERRIBLE customer service. Do NOT order from this company unless you want to get ripped off.

I bought a total replacement for my vehicle. Thid was all moog parts so spent over $500. The parts all had a lifetime warranty. I had issues with the parts wearing out. I contacted Rock Auto and they advised had to order new parts and send the old parts back. I got the new parts I ordered in and switched them onto the vehicle. I tried to send them back but labels would not print correctly. I contacted Rock Auto by email and recieved no help. There was no way to reach anyone by phone. Now I am stuck with the parts and had to pay another $500 plus dollars for parts that I originally paid a high price for due to the lifetime warranty. I will buy from a local auto parts store from now on. No more Rock Auto for me!!!

ordered $1100.00 worth of parts on a friday , got most of them on tuesday, supposed to have the rest on thursday , and now maybe friday. these parts are for a customers vehicle that has to be done by friday. Placed an order . Got an email 2 days later that my next day air order was canceled. Placed another order for part again on day 3 next day air. On the 4th day got an email about a refund for overpayment ,how does that happen (error in your system)? Recived both parts 3 days later on next day air and your location is only 45 mins from my house. Im trying to return an item your system emailed me was cancelled and now your charging me return shipping, never again this isn't the first time myself or friends or family have had issues with your site.
Long story short SHOP ELSEWHERE , no customer service here. And if you get someone on the phone they are beyond rude.
I will bo longer do business with you and gladly will take our family business elsewhere.

This is how every business is supposed to work, but very, very few manage to! Always the best price. Always a good selection. Always in stock (or the web page tells me clearly if it isn't). Al ways easy to find on their customer-centered, logical website. Always arrives early. If part is defective, I ended up not needing it, or I ordered the wrong part it just takes a phone call for Return Authorization, shipping, and the refund or right part is on its way to me. Sure I wish they would pay shipping if the error is on their part, sure I wish they would insure the shipment in case the shipper destroys it, but I've dealt with this stuff as the shipper and between loud, incompetent customers and oddball shipping issues I still save by using Rock Auto even if I do occasionally have to ship something back. Every friend whom I've referred to Rock Auto has been happy with the company, also.

I have ordered from RA in the past on a few occasions and love the experience. This time I needed it expedited so I can work on my car over the weekend. So I paid for the expedited service which RA uses DHL. My part was to be delivered by friday so I had it to work on my car over the weekend. Well it turns out the RA requires a signature on delivery with DHL. This is not an option you as a customer get to choose so I missed the delivery and DHL is closed on the weekend. Now my part will be delivered on Monday and I need my car for work on Monday. After talking with a DHL rep about the delivery they notified me they are familiar with RockAuto and their process for using DHL and said all of their orders for RA are always signature required and the phone number that is given is the phone number back to RA and not my (the customers) phone number so the driver could not contact me.

So heads up to anyone using choosing to have their parts delivered from RockAuto using DHL that it will be signature required, the phone number will not be yours so someone will need to be home to accept it.

I am really not considering using them in the future based on other reviews I see here about their customer service.

Will not cover shipping costs when returning an item that was wrong and trying to charge $20 more for return shipping than what I paid to have the item shipped to me originally... Will not be shopping here again. I would rather pay a little bit more and get better service and have the ability to return an item without costing an arm and a leg.

Worst customer service out there! Told me I was wasting there time when I called and had a problem with their catalog and refused to connect me with a supervisor. Left on hold and disconnected. Ended up being on the phone over an hour trying to get someone to help which they never did. Parts listed for car were incorrect in their catalog. BEWARE of this company! HORRIBLE SERVICE, rude reps and extra high charges for shipping.

Great people, great service. I ordered a part to fix my fiance's car. It arrived ahead of schedule and was exactly what I asked for, but I didn't get around to attempting the repair for a while-- at which point I found the repair was unnecessary, so I inquired as to returning the product. Being outside of the 30 day return policy, they could have and should have penalized me a restocking fee, but waived it as my first time and as a new customer. Not to mention the fact that the part was more than 50 dollars cheaper here than anywhere else. Small gestures go a long way-- I'll be making my purchases here from now on.

The box was a little beat up when I got it, but the part was perfectly fine.

The prices on here are alot cheaper then the local shop, that I typically buy parts . With the savings, I am able to just replace alot more then just the basic parts. I was shocked with the savings. Unless it is a must have right now kind of part. All of my future parts will be from RockAuto.com

Placed an order and was provided a shipping confirmation with delivery date, tracking number for not one but 2 items I purchased. One was deliver3ed as stated in the confirmation email the second item has never updated with the carrier saying in pre-shipment. Attempted to get some updated information after it being that way for 4 business days and got nothing more than a shift of blame to the shipper saying the shipper never updated the tracking. One of my replies was returned saying it was spam, they closed the ticket without a resolution because they blamed the shipper and that was good enough for them. Had the staff made an attempt to find out the true status after 4 days it would not be that bad, but it was obvious that they were cut and pasting responses. I got a call from someone and he said the same thing claiming the shipper never updated the information and that the information I was given was accurate, but again nobody tried to get me accurate information. He claims it is in the area where I live in the shippers system and even sent a supposed screen shot but when I used the same tracking number on another browser to make sure it was not a cached page I got the same info that it is in preshipment. I was even told that I was getting this because of "cookies" as if I was a child. Maybe they should not use cut and paste and actually help when someone asks about a shipment sitting in preshipment status for a few days.

Then I spoke to a rep and he said I have to take a picture of the defective part and send it to them. At this point I already purchased another so what does it matter. they agreed to take the return and pay for it.

Ordered two oil filters (one for each car) and a gas cap. Received the oil filters, but instead of a gas cap, RockAuto shipped a throttle position sensor (for a car I don't even own). When I contacted them to this corrected, I was told to ship the incorrect part back (using their FedEx account) using my paper/ink and drive it to a FedEx shipping center. Once received they would ship the correct part to me. This sounds like a ransom situation. Why not ship the correct part to me first and provide a shipping label to return the wrong part? This is what most companies do. While I've enjoyed their service in the past, unless RockAuto changes its policies, I won't be doing business with them anymore.

I order parts from this website and it was a horrible experience. The parts I ordered were not the parts I received. I got the parts sent back, but was then told they were sent to the wrong warehouse. The label with the address was provided to me by the company. When I called to talk to someone I was told there was nothing they could do and what was "a couple more days" of waiting on the return. I was put on hold while I was in the middle of a sentence. The customer service was horrible.

I purchased the MOOG 81045 rear coil springs for my 06 T4R V6 4.0L. I had my mechanic installed the spring but as soon as I drive of the shop I noticed a clunking sound. The mechanic told me it takes a week for the springs to settle. I waited a week but every time I hit a bump it makes a clunk sound. I found out the springs are not seated properly or it is not flushed to the bottom. The mechanic adjusted the springs so that the bottom lower end of the springs seats next to the groove. 2 weeks later the spring still will not seat correctly. The lower end of the springs with a pigtail end diameter was too small. I contacted Rockauto and told me they cannot accept refund since the springs are not returned with the original box. The springs came in two boxes, inside box has parts and picture while the second box outside box with addresses has rockauto taped. I threw a way the inside box but kept the big box. Bottom line: rockauto states they will not refund me but will replace the parts. The next e-mail replied to me that they can not replace the parts. Long story short I was stiffed by rockauto for $68.50 and told me that they will ship the parts to me which is preposterous that the parts don t fit my vehicle.

Be very careful buying parts to them. You may save 10% but will cost you 100% if the parts had issues. I spent around $900 worth of parts for the last 2 months from them but their customer service was horrible. They don t care demeanor.

I bought a fuel pump from them. My mechanic installed it and two weeks later it stopped working. In reading their return policy it states you must have the manufacturers packaging to get a full refund or store credit. I don t know of anyone who keeps the box around after two weeks.

The only other solution is to get an exact replacement part. Based on my experience with the original part, why would I want the same brand. Now if I get a replacement part back, I ll be stuck with a part I don t want.

I ve made several purchases from this company, but I ve never had a return. I highly suggest limiting your purchases from this company. Honestly, Amazon is just as cheap, has a customer service and is great about returns.

I am more than glad that I have found RockAuto in my recent engine swap project. They have provided the best prices with excellent customer service!

An example of such, I will share a recent experience of mine which has caused me to always shop here first as a loyal customer.

I purchased a product which came with a 12-Month mfg warranty. The product was defective, so I contacted the mfg. They stated they would not help (even though the product was brand new out the box!). I contacted RockAuto and they were able to help me in my situation.

Please do yourself a favor and shop at RockAuto first!

I replaced my alternator from one ordered by rockauto. Fired up the engine and the voltage was all over the place. I let it run for a lititle and the voltage held lower then spec. There goes 4 hours. I emailed rockauto and they said I could ship it back and they replace it. So I asked what about the 8 hours of labor now. Their response was they don't cover it, each time a different representative responding. They did nothing to show appreciation of my 4 years of being a loyal customer. So now I have to be with out a vehicle for another 2 days while waiting on a replacement.

Like all the rest of the negative reviews. If you order from rockauto just hope you don't have to deal with customer service.

I don't understand how I see all this super service provided by them and when I emailed for help they just told me to mail it back. Thats bull I even asked nicely to help out with the shipping charge because I was dumb enough to order a muffler kit!!!! I explained I was missing a pipe and they said to return it. I didn't have any boxes this muffler and pipes would fit it. I have now had this beautiful muffler in the back of my car minus one pipe that connects to the muffler and a really loud car because now I don't have the money to even buy another one. I would never write a bad review without speaking to a company first. Just completely disappointed with the customer service I was given. I work as a customer service rep and we would never treat a customer this way............I DO NOT REC PURCHASING ANYTHING OF VALUE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

So far I have ordered twice from this company for my Buick LeSabre and the parts were spot on . I ordered 2 new front strut assemblies and also a rear hub bearing. Parts have all come when promised for delivery and so far so good on operation and performance. I would highly recommend using this company from what I have seen

Always pleased in the past. The one time I need a part in two days and pay $20 extra to get it they tell me it was 2 business days but they don't deliver on Saturday because it is two "business days". They didn't tell me that and the order must be in by 10AM the first day which makes it three days. Ordered on Wednesday won't arrive until Monday. I missed the cut off because I didn't order it by 7:00AM PST. Jacob in customer service was anything but customer service. Requested a manager to call me no response. Called a second time and got a nicer response but same result when I told him I was going to be 100 miles from the delivery and my customer needed the part. No other options given, no ideas, like over night one and send the other back or anything. It's just my fault. They have a policy of no customer service customer service.......

Long time customer. Ordered what their website said was an exact fit on a part for my Jeep. Didn't get the chance to install or attempt to install the part in 30 days. Now that we have time to do the work the part is nowhere near near the right part and they refuse to accept a return for exchange, store credit or refund because of it being outside their 30 day window to return. Up to this point I have never had any problems with them but leaving this review I see where they are having a lot of problems and even a lawsuit. I will buy my parts locally from now on and save myself the hassle.

Rock Auto is cheap, and I average several hundred dollars a month in orders! However, their customer service is equally cheap. I've had two significantly negative experiences in the span of just a few months. Each for several hundred dollar orders.

I was sent the wrong gasket set for a very common engine with several variations to it. Their policy on gasket sets is no returns once it is open. However, I had opened it to begin to use it throughout our engine build. Once we got to the head, we noticed it was the wrong head gasket pattern (similar, but still wrong), and it was the wrong valve cover gasket (was sent the next generation up). I emailed customer service to ask for an exchange, or an 80% refund because I had already used some of the gaskets.

They accused me of lying. After a week of back and forth with them eluding to how much of an idiot I am, I sent them photos of the OEM gaskets next to their gaskets. They then initiated a return, and wanted me to pay for shipping. I demanded they comp the shipping and I sent them the gaskets back.

They did not ever offer to correct the problem. They did not offer to send replacement gaskets while we worked out the problem. All they did was insult me until I finally sent side by side photos.

Most recently, I ordered a brake set for my wife's car. I paid for express overnight shipping because happy wife, happy life. I ordered on Thursday, and on Friday the parts have yet to leave their warehouse. I emailed in to inquire what the hold up was, and was told it would deliver on Monday. I emailed again, to ask to expedite it - or cancel my order so I can reorder from somewhere else locally and have the hardware for the weekend.

They refused to cancel my order, which has still not left their warehouse. It has "label generated" but nothing has been received by FedEx. Nothing has physically moved off of a shelf. I am going to refuse their shipment and dispute the charge with our credit card.

Again, they offered no way to remedy the situation, and again insulted me through their emails. All my emails have been very polite, I don't use profanity, and I don't ask for impossible things. I've worked in drop shipping auto parts before, I know what is possible.

Rock Auto refuses to go any extra mile, whatsoever.

ordered almost 400.00 in parts for a 300z twin turbo, 1 part arrived damaged, 2 other parts failed soon after installation causing damage to the vehicle. RA will not ship parts over night, will not pay labor claims to professional installer, will not replace other damaged parts resulting from their part failures. They will replace the parts at their convenience and only what was ordered, no more, I as the owner of a repair facility in Garden City , Georgia have not had a worse experience with a parts vendor than this. Rock auto SUCKS when it comes to customer service after the sale. I was even called a liar by the guy on the phone when I made statements about other vendors we deal with. How these folks stay in business is beyond me. do yourselves a favor and do business elsewhere.

I don t even want to give one star. I had ordered hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from them. My car was in an accident and I obviously could not use the parts anymore. They were unopened and I was willing to ship back in original packaging. They did not want to refund or give me credit towards another purchase. Absolutely horrible I will never order from them again!!!!!!!
