Cheap prices, but you won't get what you ordered. The suspension I received does not match what is listed on website and what my confirmation email says. Rockauto will not accept a return. Seems like a scam.

Extremely disappointing to deal with a company where there absolutely no ability to contact a real human being and explain the problems with part you recently purchased. Product quality is fair to poor and quite often I've purchased products with extremely poor fitment. When there is a problem, they will refund, but when your car is torn apart waiting for the correct part to be resent, replacements are little consolation to the delays and aggravation of spending hours trying to get a part to fit.
I have an older car a 1979 Lincoln Mark 5 and no matter what I need I know I will always be able to find it at Rock Auto that is what keeps me coming back GREAT SERVICE and part along with great shipping 2 thumbs up from me
While previous purchases here went smoothly, I was turned off by their return policy. I clearly received a mislabeled part. I paid for an OEM component, and I was shipped a much cheaper, non-OEM item listed on their site. RockAuto refused to cover the shipping back to their facility, even though this was their error. I would recommend not shopping with Rock Auto unless it is your last resort.
RockAuto has given me the best service that anyone can expect. They had all the parts I needed and I received them sooner than expected. I would definitely use them again.
Surprised by the prices: spark plugs and air filter 2 cars pilot 05 and honda accord 97 $ 44 dollars with shipping! and in an Autoparts 148 dollars, it is a robbery the Auto parts stores thanks RockAuto !!!!!!!
RockAuto is, with out a doubt, the best online auto parts supplier period. I have tried other suppliers and been disappointed with the service and the parts. One supplier sent my parts to the wrong address, another sent me a damaged part. In both cases it was an inconvenience to resolve a problem that never should have happened. I am recommending that everyone use RockAuto as their auto parts supplier of choice. Great service, fast delivery and quality parts. What more could you ask for.

Bought parts for my 94 Silverado and they had parts listed wrong on their site I paid for parts and paid for shipping then when I needed to return seen as they were wrong parts, they charged me another shipping fee just to send the parts back and then a restocking fee, this just isn t right at all, nor fair. Fix your site catalog so people can buy correct parts for their vehicles. Just because of this experience I wouldn t recommend to anyone.
When I first went to the RockAuto website I thought how it looked so dated and complicated; It took all but 2 mins to get familiar with the layout. Great prices for the parts I got, fast shipping, and a web layout that made decision making a breeze.
Im a long time customer/mechanic, they have great variety of parts for vehicles with competitive pricing and warranties but ive had my fair share of receiving low quality parts but if you stay with brand name parts when you order, you will get what you paid for. Just be aware of that. Sometimes the shipping cost is outrageous and you will find better pricing elsewhere but most of the time rockauto is the best choice.

Shipping is fast, parts are packed nicely (undamaged), and they even included the installation hardware at no additional cost. Show me a box store that does that-and at good prices too. Ordered two bilstein shocks, they sent me one correct bilstein shock, and one other loose shock in the same box. The other shock was a completely different design, different manufacturer, different colors, etc. So I call RockAuto and they tell me there's nothing they can do except ship me the correct part with the original shipping method I chose for my order. Now I have to wait 5 days to hopefully receive the correct part so I can fix my car. Was going to complete the whole project this weekend. Now I have to wait until next weekend because I can't replace only 3 out of the 4 shocks/struts on my vehicle. Thanks for the great customer service. Seriously... the best place to buy parts. You can beat their prices and the variety of the parts they carry. Example: BOSCH (RockAuto) and the cheapest DURALAST (Autozone) brake pads. The price was the same and DURALAST came without additional hardware and grease. On top of that, after only 1 year DURALAST pads were pretty much gone (became very noisy after only 4 months of use) and BOSCH were still good.
I always buy parts from them and NEVER had issues.
Be very careful ordering parts. NO MORE PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They are extremely difficult to get full credit for parts if you return any. I carefully ordered brake parts and they were not a match at all for the OEM parts. When you try to return, they have a long question process that basically makes the whole thing your fault. Don't waste your time or money.
WELL DESERVED 5 STAR RATING! I'm an insurance broker in Alberta, western Canada and was in dire need of gaskets for the windshield of a '69 MG for one of my clients. I was astonished at how low the price was and the quick turnaround on shipping. A delay of 10 days to 2 weeks is not unheard of when ordering from the US. Only Amazon Prime ships quickly. And Rock Auto, of course! The Speedy Glass shop in Airdrie that I was working with confirmed the gaskets were top quality and fit perfectly. That's not always the case. Replacing the windshield was a breeze for them. Thanks so much for the stellar service. You really helped me maintain the highest standard of care to my client.

Only one grievance: We ordered 3 brake light bulbs and one of them arrived shattered. But at a price of *$0.16 PER BULB* (about as cheap as free), we're not too bothered by it.
their online system with ordering and canceling is a joke. i made a purchase and literally less than 15 seconds later says, "transaction pending, cant cancel". youve gotta be kidding me.
Ordered first time ever, a part for the right side of the car. 3 months later ordered the exact same part for the other side ( they are the same rt. and lt.). Paid extra shipping fees and took longer and part is packaged wrong. Try and get a resolution from them. Only on line communications and now car is apart and a return/ replacement part won't be sent until return is reviewed and then 2-3 days. This will be my last purchase from a company that is this impersonal and doesn't take responsibility for an error on their behalf.
Site is hard to order, however the pricing is worth the effort. Also the return policy is most disculf to return the item. You must buy a new part them return the old one and hope you get either cr or cash. back , and I mean hope. when you do call in the person is so rude it is hard to deal with them.
slow slow slow i send in order at 1:30 central on tuesday pay extra for 2 day ship. it comes out of warehouse same time zone. rockauto does not send ship info to fedex till 6:30pm now i wont get part till friday by 4.30. so thats 4 days to get part. slow slow slow
Parts have always been correct so far so no idea how good the return process is. I try and crosscheck all the part numbers I order on here with other websites to be sure it fits my vehicle. Stuff comes very quick and is usually shipped same day and prices are great and you can select from many different brands.
I love the prices and they fast at getting it shipped out and one the way. I've gotten my parts a couple of days ahead of the estimate delivery date two thumbs up and a happy customer!

I thought I would try RockAuto, I was surprised with the quality name brands, prices, and the speed of delivery. All parts I ordered arrived in a shorter then expected time. No issues with anything. I am very pleased with the experience, and no doubt that I will be ordering items in the future. Outstanding service.
not happy with return policy. I was sent the wrong part and was told I did not order the correct part. after trying to find a way to contact them they found the part was package wrong Just get your parts local I may use them for a hard to find part but gen parts never again
Very poor customer service. Sent wrong part, so I ordered a replacement on a separate order and requested a return. They initially wanted me to pay for return shipping, even though they had sent the wrong part. After a few emails, they agreed to pay for return shipping for the incorrect part and issue a refund. However, once I sent the part back, I received an email saying that they were sending me a replacement. (Even though they promised a refund) Order 159563436 and 159371774 for reference.
This place sucks, no one to get ahold of, the picture was right on the order, the part that came not even close. What a pain in the ass when it goes bad.
DO NOT BUY FROM ROCKAUTO. HORRIBLE/NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a wheel speed sensor that RockAuto web site listed as a fit for my vehicle. I got part ordered but it did not fit. Was totally wrong. Called for return shipping label and was refused. Operator told me that it was my responsibility to have removed old part and to have compared it with the image on line and that I should have ordered the other,more expensive, brand that would fit, even though RockAuto listed the part I ordered as a fit. The operator, Dave #288 then insulted me by stating that a 12 year old could order parts from them and get it right. I admittedly have a low IQ but no need for insult. Shame on you and your company, Jim Taylor. DO NOT BUY FROM ROCKAUTO. I am mentally handicapped and they took advantage of me! (this written by a co-worker who helped me out after listening to my pleading for return label for their mistake).
Prices are great but for a layman, I would not suggest buying a part from them. Spend a few dollars more to pay for better customer service (or at least existing customer service). There is no way to contact them except through the website (and even then you do not get a clear "who to contact list"). Had no one I could talk to regarding a late shipment. When I tried to return one of the parts I bought because it did not work, I was locked out. Once you select the wrong option they lock you out of the return. Who do I contact? Don't know cause there is no option. Be aware, cheap price means they are cutting corners somewhere else.
So frustrating I ordered a part and they had the wrong number associated with said part. When I ordered online the experience was great. I was able to look through the part selection and choose a part I believed was the part I needed. Unfortunately, I received the wrong part or I ordered an incorrect part. However, the part I ordered I believed it described the part I needed.
Unfortunately, I received the incorrect part. I visited the web-site for guidance to do a return but the order number on the packing slip was incorrect; therefore, I was able to finally find a phone number to call to discuss returning the part.
Once I called I waited approximately 5 minutes which was nice. Once I spoke with the rep and explained the situation she was absolutely unenthusiastic. Although she assisted with trying to find the part I needed, she was not engage.
Since the part I needed was unavailable, I learned I would have to return the part to include paying the postage I was a little upset. Although the postage would be a little over $5 and/or could be used as a credit towards another part or charge to my card, the customer service rep (she) stated it was up to me with how I wanted to ship it back. I said to my self, "self, why should I have to pay postage?" The initial amount had already been deducted from the card, why should I have to pay for postage for being sent the incorrect part and/od if I ordered the incorrect part.

I ordered 2 rear window struts for my '06 Jeep Wrangler. a week later, I received a steering linkage part for who knows what vehicle. I contacted customer service. The lady was nice enough, but I had to return the part (time and fuel from my pocket) and the new parts will be late. When it's their fault, then they should expedite shipping the new part. Where's the savings now?

RockAuto is ALWAYS my first stop shop for all of my car parts, the part availability and selection are bar non. The prices are always the lowest and shipping is super fast. Never have had any issues even with returns, just a super easy site to buy all the parts you need at low prices.
I called and talked to a woman to ensure the correct part and was guaranteed the correct transmission oil-filler tube for a 1996 Jaguar Van den Plas, 6 cyl. but received the wrong part. Called and talked to a person named Rick who decided to argue with me about the part. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE regardless of the cost. This company has a huge Integrity & Ethics problem. Asked for a shipping label to mail the part back and still waiting after I gave him my e-mail address. Now I am expected to pay to return an item. Rock Auto should take the blame after all I went through to ensure the correct part but NO. Poor service, Poor attention via phone call, Poor associates working the phones and this company has a huge Integrity & Ethics problem. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
After purchasing a 1991 K1500 Silverado, I noticed some fuel leaks. I assumed it was just some corroded lines. However, after digging through the fuel system from the metal lines to the actual fuel tank (and everything in between - i realized i needed to swap out everything. Ultimately, rockauto makes the whole process of purchasing autoparts extremely efficient. Also, Rockauto does not seem interested in ripping people off, unlike local autoparts stores. Every part offered by rockauto will always be cheaper than your local auto store.
My husband says that Rockauto has 5 star products at a Walmart price and would never buy parts from anyone else. Fast shipping, Several choices of name brand product parts and best web page to easily find the parts for your vehicles.
I have an 84 caddy and as you would expect parts are not easy to come by. RockAuto always seem to have the part I need and at a very fair price ( always better then used on ebay).
In Europe it's pretty hard to get the right AC parts for your older US vehicle, even the dealer with their changing partnumbers are no guarantee for getting the right parts. RockAuto pointed me in one click to the right AC parts for my 14 year old Cherokee Classic, I compared the picture of the part and was sure having the right part. Great experience at a compatitive price! I'll be back for more (after all it's 14 years old).
Purchased a part from Rock Auto for the first time because it saved me $20 over a local store, but it failed within a month. Poor quality. Now to return the part requires me to pay shipping and then it is still their decision whether or not to replace it, while I cannot drive my car. Forget it, I'll just write it off and buy local from now on.
After ordering $60 in parts, they were not what I needed. I had to pay $50 to ship them back. They basically told me they would only help with the shipping if the items were broken, so being an honest customer gets you nowhere. Save your money and shop local.
dishonest conduct. I purchased parts for my vehicle totaling $419USD. I got scammed for a part that was on closeout. I got an email saying that it is no longer in stock after 4 days of my payment. my order was delayed due to this part which is still in stock but price has changed. very dissappointed. I emailed customer service, they seem not to care and do not even bother reading your email properly.

Ordered a door safety catch for a 1999 Silverado. No issues. Sent promptly. Priced well. The dealer and local parts stores all said the truck was too old and the part would have to be special ordered. Rock Auto didn't say that. They delivered. Thanks.
They send me the wrong product and they returned some of my money not the whole thing!!? I have emailed and called them have not received my money back they tell me they keep shipping and something else that does not make sense
My first experience with Rockauto. I purchased a starter for my Toyota Tacoma. It started engaging and disengaging the armature arm eratically while starting. My mechanic said that I was very lucky that I didn't ruin my flywheel (a $500 repair). He suggested I NEVER deal with Rockauto. I needed my truck so I purchased a local starter, not realizing that Rockauto would not refund my money for a defective part.
According to Customer service I can exchange this junky starter for what I can only imagine will be another one. This may have been a $100 lesson but I think that from now on I will not deal with companies that will not refund money for defective parts, because most likely are turning over so many defective parts that they have to exchange substandard parts for the same in order to stay in business. I will make it a policy to stay away from them. If you want to change out starters once a year to save a little money deal with Rockauto. Shop somewhere else if you want to deal with a company that is interested in satisfying it customers.
I agree with another review. Customer service is very condecending and borderline rude, leaving you with no recourse except to try to spread the word about what a terrible company this was to deal with. That is why I am writing this review, to hopefully save someone else similar aggrevation.
I was skeptical of purchasing my rotors after bad reviews. I received my parts 3 days later and put them on today. They were a perfect fit for my Kia Forte. It cost me 1/4 the price as big auto parts stores. I would recommend Rock Auto to anyone
Horrible parts even worse customer service I gave them a 1 because you can't leave a 0 they're asking me to pay 3 dollars return shipping on a 6 dollar part that arrived cracked in two save your money buy from the part store at least you have someone to return the part to. Oh and they won't take your call if you have a complaint it's all online but good luck finding the email to file your complaint and if you do they might get back to you in a century
