I purchased an alternator for my 2006 Ford Freestyle Limited and the cheapest I found was on Rockauto.com. I ordered it and it came fast. My husband just put the alternator in yesterday and it fit and worked. It charged my battery. My ford went from not starting without the use of jumper cables to it starts right up now. Thank you Rock Auto. Definitely a repeat customer. Keep up the great work.

All I can say about Rockauto is... Thank God for giving us this. Even if the discount code is only 5% just think about what you would actually pay at a parts store. So if you go to a parts store you will pay double for the product . With Rockauto you pay half price and a 5% discount. So Thank God for Rockauto they are the best!!!!!!!

My experience with Rockauto has always been fantastic. Rockauto has made owning a US built vehicle in Australia so much easier (I've had 3 now) and if it wasn't for Rockauto's competitive pricing and excellent customer service, I don't think I could afford to own my favourite US made vehicles!

I have dealt with these guys twice now for parts great prices, easy to find parts for older vehicles that the stores no longer carry, and they keep you up to date as to when you should receive your order, if you order the wrong it's very easy to ship the part back for refund or credit or getting the right part shipped as in my case I messed up ordered the right part but for the wrong year. These guys are the best I have found to deal with.

The power steering pump on my truck went out yesterday, and a new one from R/A was $33. But I couldn t wait for it to ship. So went down to Advanced Auto, same pump- $103! Rockauto does not care about customer service at all.
I ordered 2 headlights and one air filter and payed for shipping as well after one week I received 2 headlights in very bad condition due to the poor factory assembly and I requested the return label) from Rockauto and returned the items to them.
Here are the issues:

A: I returned All 3 items to Rock Auto as they sent me pretty much bunch of garbage but their customer service saying the have received only 2 headlights from the retuned package! and they did not received the 3rd item which was being packed in the same box!

B: They have issued me less than %40 of what I payed for!

C: they charged me full payment again for the return shipping! ( %70 of my money went for 2 times shipping and returning the items just because they sold some garbage which I gave it back to them.

D: Now I sent several emails to their customer service but no response!

I never buy anything again from Rockauto and will never recommend this company to anyone for any kinds of service.

Working on a old truck, ordered several parts. Most of the parts had something wrong or a missing piece. They had been repackaged. I know someone else was missing a custom bolt as was in a box and didn't go with the item. I contacted there website as instructed, they told me the part came that way. How can you have a lower ball joint w/ no boot to hold the grease? I could pay to ship it back and then they would take away the original shipping which was for the whole order. So they get the part back to sell again for someone else to go thru it, then give me zero refund. They are a online business, they will not speak with you on the phone. They say if they wanted to talk on the phone they would not be a on line business. I know there parts are a little cheaper than other places at times, when you get a cheaper part that is not usable then it is no good to have the cheaper part! There are many other places to get the same part cheaper than the parts store around the corner. Rock Auto does not care about the customer at all. They want the dollar and do not care who they steal it from by selling bad parts and not standing behind them. You might as well stand on the street and give the money away at least at the end of the day you will feel good about helping someone. With Rock all you will get is bad parts and stress. I know other people who have purchased and had the same problems! Wish I would have heard the issues before I purchased from them!!!

I can get parts delivered to my home faster than the local retailers can "Special Order" them in, and they are half the price. For example I bought a power steering pump and paid less with the core charge, than the post core price of the local guy, and received it 2 days sooner. Not one issue, top notch shipping. Have never had to call for service, because they get it right, each time. Thank you Rock Auto, for helping me keep my cars on the road.

Never thought I would write this about Rockauto. Trouble started when I ordered parts and later checked the tracking. The trouble is that the shipment is going to Florida, I'm in NJ. I called FedEx but their policy is that only the shipper can reroute the package. No prob, right? Unfortunately, no such way the Rockauto CSR, Jason, would do that. The package was in Kansas, enroute to FL, but like I said the CSR refused to help, blaming me for inputting a wrong address.

Hint - the shipping confirmation does not say where the package is going.

I have placed quite a few orders with this company. Great pricing. When I've had problems they have made it right . Their newsletter is funny and very informative! I highly recommend RockAuto as a parts source. When you can't find it on their site, you can talk to a live person ( in English ) , toll free. My only concern is, sometimes the shipping charges may make you rethink your purchase. Yes, I do checkout other parts sites. But, in most cases, it is RockAuto that I go to.

I have been a mechanic for over 45 years. When I go to the auto parts store I'm usually told that "they don't have it in stock and they have to order it". I started shopping Rock Auto a few years ago and am completely and totally satisfied with the inventory, pricing and delivery speed. If you need a "hard to find" part, Rock Auto usually has it. In all the buying experience I've had, each and every part I've received is exactly what I was looking for, and in "new in box" condition. These folks really know their stuff.

Rockauto will ship you the wrong part and then deny you a refund. They no longer offer customer support, and if you call their corporate headquarters a very rude "receptionist" will repeatedly hang up on you. They may have once been a trustworthy company, but now they are nothing more than scammers and criminals. Having left me with no other recourse, I will recover my money from my credit card company, and will make sure that RockAuto's terrible reputation is spread far and wide.

I have never encountered a company which cares less for customer satisfaction, or fixing their errors. They'll close your tickets without a response, and tell you that your only recourse is to keep sending emails. I wonder if they are familiar with the term "mail fraud" and the consequences of committing it.

They have deleted every attempt I have made to contact them through social media, they refuse to be accountable for their error, and show no intention of fixing it to prevent this issue from happening to anyone else. I am a professional mechanic who has been in the industry for many years, I would not recommend RockAuto to anyone for any reason.

Ordered parts for my Sprinter and paid $225 for next day shipping and parts did not come until the following Monday which was too late. The return process is very painful as they do not provide an option for returning a package due to not arriving on time. I've contacted support from rockauto and have not gotten a response yet. I was obligated to run somewhere else to get my brakes done since they didn't arrive on time. I will be updating this review if they do indeed refund any of my money.

I was given a refund after sending the parts back, but wasn t given full refund of the rush delivery I had paid. So I still lost a little bit of money. And I also lost time. I ve increased the stars to 2 for the partial refund.

Part was not OEM as stated by RA Had an unknown brand name on it. Only online communication with RockAuto, very presorted responses. So first they lie about the part they supply, then if you don't like it you have to pay return shipping and the original shipping. I've had it with RockAuto never will buy from them again. Fortunately i entered a disputed on my Costco Citi bank credit card and I got all the shipping back after a month.

If you appreciate good customer service, you will not get it here. You cannot talk to a real person unless they call you, which they won't if they can avoid it. They don't answer emails either. Oh, and good luck on getting that credit you were "given" for the returned part. Be sure your credit card has good CS and good protection. Would I use RA again? Probably not. One star is being generous, IMHO. Good CS means a lot and I don't mind the slight up charge it costs. Unless there is a dramatic improvement in RA's cusomer relations, I will take my future business elsewhere.
By the way, their website does not allow you to use their promo codes nor is there anyway to apply the "credit" they give you for your returned items.
Wish I had read the Google reviews first. The false spam style 5 star reviews are easy to detect. The one star reviews are hard to dismiss ans sometimes painful to read. At least I only lost 60 bucks with this dishonest business.

Part's are good and cheaper then your local auto store though customer service is horrible. When I google RockAuto I get no business listed and when I search their site for contact info it's in a page within another page. For a business who can afford commercials and compete with the top dogs you'd think customer service would be 2nd to none... Nope. I have better customer service with vendors on ebay.

I've had nothing but success in my dealings with RocAuto. They were helpful and pleasant when I first talked to them on the phone.....They suggested ancillary parts that I needed to complete the first job; which made the work simpler and the outcome better.
Their prices were about 40-45% less than the local parts store's and the shipping is very inexpensive or, free in some cases depending on the total cost of the order. Things are well packaged and shipped promptly.
I should probably add, that I was working at a parts store and I wasn't able to get a better price....and sometimes even get the part!

Bought lots of parts and always the right ones. Cheaper than I get in Canada.
Only takes a week to get. Just bought 4 shocks for my truck and saved 30 bucks. Most of the parts I have bought, I have saved way more that 30. I needed a starter so I bought a reman from near home. 6 months later it started on fire. Paid 20 dollars more for a new one from Rockauto and have had no problems. Best selection ever on parts as well. Some other people have had some issues it seems but I will continue to buy from them and recommend them.

Easy to use website. Great prices and quality parts, they offer everything from economical to high end brands. Shipping is always fast too. My most recent purchase of MOOG sway bar end links was to arrive Tuesday but actually arrived 3 days early on Saturday. I had 1 shipment I wasn't satisfied with but they happily exchanged it after an e-mail to customer service. I always shop around online and locally and 9 out of 10 times Rockauto is the best value. I'm glad I found them a few years back. Everything I've ordered has been good parts and work great. Thanks Rockauto keep up the good work!

My 04 Suburban has special rear shocks with integrated airbags to level the vehicle. I ordered Monroe OEM-replacement parts for these shocks, and a new air compressor. RockAuto shipped me two different shocks, mislabeled in the box, and the compressor. I sent back the shock which was wrong, and they sent me a replacement: the same, wrong shock. When I called the fellow appologized. I decided to send back the two shocks and the compressor as RockAuto seems unable to fill the order correctly. I am now being charged return shipping for the compressor (which is useless without the two shocks) becuase I "did not want it". When I pointed out to RockAuto that the compressor is useless without the shocks, and they don't see able to send me the correct shocks, the response I received was "Well, you could source the shocks elsewhere and then use our compressor with them." I have ordered from RockAuto many times. I have always been very impressed by them. They have utterly failed me this time. Time to find a new place to order parts from.

The description left out the fuel filter and never mentioned that champion plugs would replace the autolite plugs. I threw out the champion plus and purchase a fuel filter and plugs locally. Buyer beware. I failed to pickup the bait and switch or misleading information. that will not happen again.

Do not rely on these guys unless you have made lots of room and time for error.

l have been a customer for years and have spent thousands of dollars at rockauto. Earlier this year I received a reconditioned part, some weeks later I fitted the part and it did not work. After a call I learned that I had missed the refund window and now needed to do a warranty claim..no problem- printed shipping label put part back in box, mailed box, received new part. Now its September and I've been informed that the part I returned was not the one I originally received, I owe the money for the warrantied part and must pay before they will do anymore business with me. I have tried 3 times to fix this mess, they are sticking to their guns - pay up or no more business. During my last call I was told that because I said it was a female that authorized the return that is the reason they are dumping me, apparently it was a male.
So if you like being held at ransom due to sloppy warehousing and petty customer service Rockauto is the place to go.

I own a licensed Auto repair shop with a valid resale permit. Rock auto claims to have a path for those that are exempt for paying sales tax. They Lie. Every time I attempt to enter my valid resale permit number, the same one I use to pay the sales tax I collect each month, rock auto says it is not valid...they lie, I hate liars. I would not be likely post this, but since they have no path to remedy this situation this is my only way to maybe get a response from them. Their system is broke and there is no way to get help to get it fixed. I will get my parts from amazon I guess, they know my permit is valid.

I ordered a cabin air filter for my 2008 hyundai. The site provided several options to pick from. I selected one on the list. It was made in Korea but was the wrong size (too big). Since it was small I made it fit by forcing it into the slot provided (it's only paper). It was inexpensive so I wasn't about to pay postage again to send it back.
