I have never received a worst costumer service in ...

I have never received a worst costumer service in my life, nobody cares about you or any problem or inconvenient you might have. I wonder if they are all perfect and never have problems. The lack of humanity they have and lack of manners is unbelievable. Even to cancel my service has been a mission, it's been 3 weeks and they are still giving me the run around.

Everyone here is not lying how AWFUL this insurance is. EVERY single time i refill my prescription (same one) the pharmacy says the insurance needs authorization. So i have to spend three days having to call preferred to get them to authorize it. I also need to go see an endocrinologist and the ones that they had on record all dropped preferred and so they had to find me another one. After a week, i got a new one but it will be four months before he will see me. DO NOT USE PREFERRED MEDICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS CRIMINAL THE HOOPS YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH TO GET CARE IF YOU CAN GET THEM ON THE PHONE.

Preferred Medical has been my insurance for the past month. I really couldnt be happier. The doctors on the plan are very knowledgable and pleasant. Their customer service is great! I have never been dissapointed when ive had to call them.

this is worst company ever, they over charge my account for more than a thousand dollars. i have been calling them for more than 2 weeks, every time i ask to speak to a manager or supervisor they tell me they don't have one then hang up on me.

The only good anything at PMP are 2 customer servi...

The only good anything at PMP are 2 customer service agents, Viviana and Gladys. Last year they tried to increase my rates 3 years instead of once, I had to contact FL State Insurance Commissioner to stop that.
It took them 9 months to send me my payment coupon books then kept sending them with wrong $ amount due.
They're in the habit of making phone calls or writing letters demanding payment weeks after they've received it. The admin staff is rude.Their clinic staff is rude and incompetent. Most of their nurses don't speak English.
Most of their customer service agents are stupid, don't speak English, and have little manners.
I was treated for hypertension and congestive heart failure for years then turns out I have sleep apnea and I'm now off all the meds. I kept telling my doctor I needed oxygen but he was too busy putting Cubans down to listen. One of their gynecologists was too busy partying to come deliver my son who was almost born dead because of it. Another gynecologist gave my wife a total hysterectomy instead of correcting her cystocele, leaving her with half her bladder hanging loose and protruding out of her vagina. Most of the gynecologists in their provider network won't accept PMP 'cause they don't pay or drag their feet to do so.
The last time we went to get a referral she had to wait 4 hours because there were only 2 doctors on duty.
I was just informed they aren't renewing my individual membership..then asked if I could come here and give them a good review. Get serious, Gladys. Best I can do is an HONEST REVIEW.
I'll miss being insulted by my doctor but I'm glad you're kicking me out. I'm even happier that ObamaCare
isn't listing PMP as a provider anymore, maybe that will save some people's lives and a lot of aggravation.
Wish there was a no star rating 'cause that's what PMP merits.
But again, Viviana and Gladys are great. Hope they get jobs with real medical providers instead of one with doctors with DO degrees and MDs from the Dominican Republic...

Edit: 3-31-16, Viviana G is no longer employed by PMP and Ms Gladys P is never at her extension and no one will say if she got laid off along with the other 162 employees. They are going bankrupt but just to add to the aforementioned affronts and convince me permanently of their incompetence yesterday a full 3 months after they canceled my membership they:
PMP sent me a form 95 in the mail even though I was not an Obama Care recipient when I was a member there, did not need one to file a tax return
and even though I've been the victim of identity theft which caused my income tax return to be delayed 9 months last year THEY ENTERED MY FULL NAME, ADDRESS, and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

Fortunately the mail person delivered it to the correct address but when I called PMP customer service to complain I ended speaking to a rude customer service agent who spoke little English and no understandable Spanish, interrupted me while I explained the issue and refused to connect me with her supervisor. Then I called their billing department and they hung up on me.

I'm sorry for the people who lost their jobs but I am truly glad Preferred Medical Plan won't be around to ruin people's health and defraud their patients. Check with the Florida Department of Consumer affairs if you don't believe this review.
Moreover, if you check you'll note that the few positive reviews here are from chills or relatives of (now former) PMP employees.

This is the worst health plan EVER. I paid my premium way over a month ago and have not received any of my member info, documents, provider list, ID card or anything. I can't see a doctor and I cant do anything until I receive this. Every time I call I'm told that the packets are delayed and being sent out but its going to be almost two months. I'm paying for insurance and have no way of seeing a doctor. I tried calling today and no one answers the phones anymore. I don't know what's going on but it seems they are taking peoples money and are now dodging everyone. Please beware of this Healthcare provider.

Terrible customer service. Secondly, they did not charge the account for three months and told me i had to pay it all at once. Its their fault why do i have to pay if its direct payment! Third, i was without insurance for 11 months apparently now i have to pay a fine because of their incompetence. Never go here. Find yourself something better.

WHAT A NIGTMARE!!! THIS INEFFICIENT COMPANY RIVALS FIRST PLACE WITH THE CRAPPIEST INSURANCE COMPANY SOUTH OF THE BORDER. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. I signed up with this fiasco of a company through Obamacare 2 months ago and, after taking my money (they are good at that), I have not yet received anything, but the authorization form for drawing my premium directly. Good luck in trying to get that from me! I have spend HOURS trying to talk to them on the phone and I have succeeded only ONCE. The representative that time advised they will send the insurance cards. That was 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting. However, my wait is ended. I am switching companies, after loosing a lot of money!!!

worst insurance I ever seen I have'd applied since feb with that obamacare and I am in may and still haven't received my insurance card of booklets to know what it covers and what it does't I have called more than 20 times and they always says they going to send me my information and they never send me nothing . worst insurance ever I'ma have to call the market place and report them this is just rediculous , last week I had to go see a doc and i had to paid everything out of my pocket cause i need to get my meds and couldn't keep waiting on the stupid prefered medical plan crap .

Was a little late on payment, since did not have the funds, went to Doctor and service was denied, now they are still getting $600 plus from the federal government but had no coverage, so when I was able to make the payments I asked that an adjustment was made since I did not have coverage, ohh no they want me to pay it even if no coverage. I will not pay them.

I have to say that I have the exact same experience as everyone else who has posted in the last week. I signed up through healthcare.gov. I made my first payment and then nothing, no calls, correspondence, or emails. Do NOT try to call them in the afternoon. I did reach someone but at 8:30am and was told I had not made my first payment. I had to fax her my bank statement to prove that I did pay. It seems like they don't really have their act together yet.

My experience is very bad, I have given 98.46 monthly to preferred, because I already paid, April, May and June and they do not give me the referrals for mammography because they say I have not paid.
I went there directly and everything says that it is fine (after 2 hours to be treated) however the doctor is told that I have not paid. When I call on the phone and get someone to answer me (rarely) they hear me and tell me a moment and they hang me up or leave me back online and nobody else comes out.
This is no use, I don't know what will happen if there is an emergency. Call Consumer Report and they told me they will find out.

Stay away. We chose a family plan with them since they were the cheapest with the best options with Obamacare.
Bad decision!

Stay away. They are a horrible company. I signed up on April 1st. Contacted them the third week of April since the plan was starting on May 1st. I was waiting for the information, insurance cards, etc. They told me the had the wrong address and sent it again.
Over 2 months after, I never got anything. A neurologist in their network did not have an appoint to see my daughter until December (we called in May) Their supervisor told my wife she was going to find another doctor and she was going to call her back.. That never happened.

Called the Healthcare program and cancelled. Please, please stay away from them. They should be taken out of business by the state.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY.

So after enrolling, we needed to know what doctor to go to. Well we called their customer service and we were transferred to different people multiple times, at the end they said we will call you back, but never called back.

I now have some questions about my coverage, so I called them because I could find the answer in their website. I was transferred a lot of times again some time they even hang up on me and I had to call back, as soon as I mentioned coverage they were "oh hold on", next thing I know I was being transferred, at the end they took my info because they will cal me back with the answer in the afternoon ( I was calling at 10 am), and never got a call back.

The worst customer service ever!!!!!

I posted the complain and questions on their Facebook page and my comments were deleted and they disabled commenting and posting on their page. Lets see if they delete this one,

The benefits shown on the marketplace page when I made my selection weren't the same as the one this company gave me once I was enrolled.

I had Aetna last year in Miami, not available in the marketplace anymore, because of affordability I took this companies Silver Deluxe AX CSR 94% HMO plan, one of the worst decisions of my life, their provider list is shameful, their pharmacy coverage leaves a lot to wish for. The market place should really have better choices.

They gave me an appointment for June 20 because I'm obama care, there was A time that these clinics did not have patients, now they have and join with other insurances to give bad service but everything reaches a limit and when the time comes they will have to swallow it and they will not have a job. Most people with pleasant experiences don't take the time to post reviews, and more often than not you will find a whole slew of negative reviews.

I've had this insurance since I was really young, around the age of 3 if I'm not mistaken. I got extremely sick by the age of 4 and spent countless days in and out of hospitals. I couldn't have asked for a better insurance company or doctors.

I still have this insurance and I still see most of the same doctors, some are new like my rheumatologist but they are all great and attentive. It makes an already harrowing experience like being sick and having to go in and out of hospitals less of a stress.

Any time I've had a problem with Preferred, which is rare and has only happened twice in 20 years, they fix it almost immediately.

I already paid for the insurance and I want to affiliate with some other company so bad!!! If you still did not decide dont go with them!!

I wish I could rate it negative stars. The only reason I am still with them (not for long) is because I am grandfathered into a plan where I don't have an annual deductible. Other than that, THE WORST customer service ever. They are so scattered and the departments within the company do not communicate with one another. I have been back and forth with them for months now to make sure they have my proper documents and guess what? THEY DON'T. Even tho they have been sent in several times. Seriously, don't sign up with them!

They should replace the word "worst" with the name of this health care provider because is just soooo bad its existence must be ban. 1 out of every 10 calls I made with two different phone lines they answer and when they did they still can't assist on anything as simple as processing a payment. Maybe disgusting medical plan would match better because other than the price, the simple name of this company is like they selling you a 30 year old mule for the price of a Ferrari. Who are they really trying to fool this should be the biggest corporate joke ever in health care history man I thought humana was bad. Worst customer service ever! They never answer the phone, put you on hold forever with an ironic message: "your call is important to us". If you get a chance to talk to someone, they will obviously transfer you to another service and then you will end up disconnected. They probably forgot they are a medical insurance which happens to deal with emergencies.

This has to be the worst company you can possibly work with regarding health insurance. They make things seem really wonderful when you sign up, after that, its all down hill. I have been attempting to get someone, anyone. on the phone for over a week. I have tried contacting via phone, email. facebook, everything! I am 6 months pregnant and had normal lab work done in the beginning of my pregnancy (Jan) and I am now receiving bills from the lab because these people don't pay claims! I have no idea how to make a payment since I cant get anyone on the line and the online payment center doesn't work for me! MY WARNING TO YOU: STAY FAR FAR FAR FAR AWAY!

They charge your account without you authorize them and internally they do not have any idea of what they are doing.

I don't even know how the medical service is because they never send any information about the type of plan they supposed to offer me. I called several times to find out about my plan and they didn't know what to explain.

I cancel my policy but they keep charging my account. I started a dispute with my back so they can return my money. I have already spend 2 months trying to get this resolved but nobody has a clue how to proceed.

This is for everyone who hasn t received their insurance information. I called and they gave me what is supposed to be my member number. I have called about 10 Doctor office and they told me that if I don't have a physical proof of insurance I should think twice before using the insurance because at the end if I go to a Hospital for something major I might be liable for all charges since I only have a number which is supposed to be an insurance but it doesn't prove that I have insurance. IS THERE A LAWYER READING THESE. I BELIEVE THERE ARE MANY OF US IN THE SAME BOAT FOR A COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO CLOSE THIS COMPANY. I paid them for the first month of insurance and I haven't paid the following months because they do not send the paper work. Every time I call, they tell me that the paper work is on the mail but it's been three months already and not even a bill.
My biggest problem is that I don't know if I can apply for another insurance company and if I do Preferred Medical will send me a bill for the months I haven t paid and I'll be liable to pay the months I haven't pay.

Any advice?

It's unbelievable how bad they are!! This company sucks! The customer service it's really BAD. They hire anybody, uneducated people. I was on hold for 30 minutes, and after all that waiting somebody finally answered the phone and HUNG UP ON ME when I told him how upset I was. They don't even send me my bills, I HAVE to call them for me to pay my bill.I told them 20 times that I want to sign up for auto pay and they always say they will send me the paper work, but they never do!!! This is the worst mistake we did. They are horrible! Do not sign up with them!!!!!

Its the worse decision I could had make in my life, horrible customers service, I had automatic payments, I need to be calling the company every month to draw the money of my account, and after they take 3 times the amount out of my account at once, next thing I know they want to cancel my policy due missed payment, when I read the letter I said to myself, are kidding me????

This insurance is a joke. Why does it even exist? If you are in open enrollment period, PLEASE, choose any other insurance but this one. I am pregnant and cannot find a OBGYN who is willing to see me. No doctor is taking this insurance in a big city like Miami. The customer service is rude and useless. Their website with provider/doctor list is deceiving; 99% of all listed physicians do not take this insurance, most of the phone numbers and addresses are inaccurate.. By all means, avoid this headache. I choose this insurance to keep my primary care I had at the time, however, 3 months later she refused to deal with this insurance; so I am stuck now with it for another 4 months!!!! I hate preferred!!!! Noone can even defend them, they do not deserve 2 star rating. They do not even deserve 1 star!

WORST insurance company ever. the low price through the Federal Marketplace was not worth the hassle of dealing with this company. How they are still in business I will never know. After repeated attempts to solve a minor issue, several e-mails and calls, no follow up from their representative. All i got as a response to a simple request was excuses and false promises.

I cancelled my membership and went with another company. Though I'm now paying a bit more monthly, it is worth it knowing I do not have to deal with Preferred.

DO NOT SIGN UP. You will regret it!

I have tried to call customer service as well as supervisor in Preferred medical plan but they are transferring my call to one department to another and also cut my phone call , I have sent back claim in the month 04/01/2015 but after 10 months it is still in process and no one is responsible and take responsibility. No reason for delay . No one is giving complain email ID and fax number . I can not understand how to deal with this Preferred medical plan. This insurance has wasted my lot of time last couple of weeks , Need take necessary action on it. I am selecting one start because I have to post this writing

I am updating my past review because they just resolved my case. I met some of the people that I had spoken with and they were very nice and attentive. I am not giving it 5 stars because I did have to be on top of Preferred to follow up and push for a solution but maybe is because of the whole system and eventually it will get better.

The worst insurance company ever. There is no customer service because nobody takes the phone and when they do they don't know. They charged us double of the monthly payment and they never gave us back the money. When my bank returned the full amount them they sent me a letter charging me $20 fee for the return and advising me that next time that the bank return one month they will suspend my coverage... unbelievable!!! horrible company choose another one!!! I put one star because otherwise I cannot comment but I WOULD HAVE CHOOSEN CERO STARS RATING

I didn't even know when my payments were due and when I tried to call them for information they just kept sending me back and forth between two different companies. They DO NOT send you bills or any paperwork. I am extremely annoyed.

I paid my premium on january 13 and on february 19...

I paid my premium on january 13 and on february 19 my 3 years old son got sick, supposedly my coverage should start on february 1ST,I haven't received any of my member info, documents, provider list, ID card or anything, they never attended of my child because of ID card, I tried to call the insurance hundred of times, they never answer. Later on justifications start to appear, "we have to many applications" "the cards have been sent but we are no ready for so many customers..." They only are ready for take the money, that part was efficient and quick, just the social and the bank info. Please beware of this Healthcare provider.

Paid first premium in early February. I had an medical emergency on March 4th, and had to go to a hospital. On March 5th I received my ID card, bill reminders, and auto-pay bank forms (turns out my coverage started March 1st). The summary of benefits, medical and hospital services contract, provider directory, pharmacy formulary, urgent care and dental cared directory were all online links. Which would be fine, if any of them worked. None of them did.

I called earlier today to their main office in Coral Gables to see how I could get those documents, and how I could be refunded for my hospital visit. 15 minutes waiting, and they dropped my call.

Funny how the bill reminders and the bank auto-pay forms were all included, yet the documents that would help me get medical care weren't.

Save yourself the trouble, do business elsewhere.

the customer services is horrible. for the pass three weeks I am trying to get in touch with them over the phone, calling 4 or 5 times daily and when someone answer the phone, they tell me they are going to call me back and I am still waiting for the call. right now I am trying to contact them and I had being in the phone on hold for 48 minutes. keep away from this insurance provider

The company is beyond bad, The Customer Service is horrible. No one there knows what's going on. They must all read from the same bad script. The Doctors are on the plan are good. Just, don't ever call the Preferred to talk to anyone. Calling the Customer Service Dept. will make you have to go to the doctor, because they caused you to have a nervous breakdown. I hope the people in charge read these reviews and do something quick or they might be out of business. By the way Hazel and the Customer Service Supervisor, I'm still waiting for that call from you. But, on second thought never mind. I went with another Insurance Company. Good riddance.

I've been a Preferred Medical Plan (PMP) member for probably a decade now. Every member pays the same monthly premium depending on your age and the plan you choose. At the time that I signed up with them, they had only two plans (Plan A and Plan B) which makes it easy to choose and compare. Plan A is their basic plan and it is also their cheapest plan. Plan B is like Plan A but you also get to use physicians from their expanded network (and you also pay slightly more). From what I know and assume, you don't get to choose your physician for Plan A (thus your appointments will be at clinics with lots of people and possibly long waits and busy physicians); Plan B allows you to choose your Primary Care Physician (PCP) which means one doctor and more personalized care. One thing I don't like about PMP is that it's a local healthcare plan for Miami residents so if I decide to relocate to another city, I won't be covered anymore. Their prescription coverage plan is scanty. I'm always paying a lot for my prescription medications and even Walgreen's $20/year prescription coverage plan saves me more money than PMP. The premiums keep rising each year too! I'm always getting a packet in the mail informing me that my premium is increasing on my birthday. The older you are, the more you pay in monthly premium. On the plus side, physician visits are only $5 (Plan A) to $10 (Plan B) co-pay per visit and basic preventative healthcare tests like blood/urine/xray are usually free. If you're doing surgery, you have to call them to ask how much the co-payment is (usually a large amount over $100) and either pay it in-person or over the phone. Their websites used to lack information but right now, I just checked, they improved it a lot. It could still use some more features like member log-in accounts, being able to look at your own medical record, etc. but what the site looks like right now is already a big improvement from what it used to be. Another needed improvement is the payment method. They only take payments either by bank check or auto-debit from your checking account. It would be nice if they could take credit cards. I would give this insurance company a three-and-a-half stars. Improvements can still be made.
