Worst customer service!!. Stephanie the supervisor did not help me whatsoever. I called to complain about a late fee that they were charging me. I m always on time with my payments and the payment for December happened to hit on Christmas Day. I always pay with the automated system and it so happen that automated system was also closed, which I thought was weird (shouldn t be closed) I even called twice and both times I couldn t pay with the automated. When I called in January to explain the situation they said too bad and never waived my fee. I asked for her manager Juan to call me which I m still waiting for his call
(I doubt he will call me). Please don t sign up with them!

Worst customer service ever! I have been hung up on numerous times. I have been trying to call for 2 months to change my address and remove a vehicle from my policy but can't get a hold of anyone. I'm looking for another insurance provider. This company is the worst.

Very very very bad company they stole over $500 from me it was it a scam they told me to pay on a specific date that we set up on an appointment and canceled my insurance 2 days before I paid a day early and want to charge me a fee for their mistake and when I called them on their mistake they blamed an affiliate company and told me they would do nothing unless I had it in writing when everything was done over the phone they will cheat you do not trust them they will steal from you

This company is absolute garbage. Do not be fooled. They will slam you with a whole bunch of hidden fees. And every month your bill will raise a couple of dollars . Very unprofessional and unorganized.

Customer service always seems to have an attitude. They transfer me from one department, put me on hold and then slide me to another department. I find it ironic they canceled my policy without notice and THEY'RE the ones with the attitude.

Deserves negative stars. The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I am almost positive it is a scam because they change the date that your bill is due arbitrarily to get customers to pay extra money every month. Good luck to anyone who gets assigned them from your agent. I learned a valuable lesson... Before signing any documents at an agency make sure you Google the producer first. This would have saved me $100s and hours of frustration. They make it impossible to pay your bill online and over the phone. Stay away... As far as possible

I recently became a multi-state insurance and I hate it!!!!
I was promised a quote through freeway broker office to pay $95 for both my vehicles.
They seemed in a hurry to have me signed up with them. I receive my first bill after the $179 activation and registration fees. My first bill was not $95 as promised it was $119.25. I called to try to solve the problem. I been dealing with them for the past 3 days. I keep getting the run-around, every department moves me to another. The changes were made by one of their Agents "Anna". She changed my address after submitting my application because she the system didn't let her when she was entering my information for the application. It is their fault but I am the one with a higher bill and I can't do anything about it. If i cancel I pay bill plus cancellation fee $45. I should have stayed with GEICO!!!!

This company was a waste of time! I got into an accident on August 19th, at first the company said that they would pay $2600 in damages. My vehicle was towed to one of their collision shops, and the estimate went up to $3800. The company decided to salvage the vehicle out, in the mean time there is no roadside assistance, or coverage for rental cars so in total I came out of pocket approximatley $1200 in one month...September 19th I finally get the email saying the car would be salvaged out, of course I was pissed when I found out that I would not have the opportunity to buy another vehicle because the check will be issued to the finance company. I was upset because I felt that having full coverage insurance did no justice. I'm without a vehicle and the finance company is going to get taken care of...I would say that because of the month long wait...never mind..this company just sucks

Would give zero stars if I could. Cancelled my insurance and three months later they are still charging me. They make it so hard to cancel your insurance. Spent 45 minutes on the phone just now getting bounced around trying to cancel. Their customer service reps are useless. The last one hung up on me on purpose and my insurance is still not cancelled. This is a scam and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I was forced to give at least one star. When I called to file a claim, Mr. Martinez in San Diego asked me who s fault it was. His in my opinion, I replied. He then informed me that I did not need to call... My heart sunk into my stomach. But I don t think his (the other drivers) insurance company is going to take my word for it, I explained. He then asked me if I called the police, to which I replied: was I supposed to? No, said Mr. Martinez, in California, if the accident was minor they probably wouldn t have come... I filed the claim on Friday and it s Monday and no adjuster has called. I called Mr Martinez this morning and he said 24 to 48 business hours so maybe today or tomorrow. In my experience the money saved switching from infinity was not even close to worth it.

Signed up through an insurance broker here in WA state Jan 28. I set up for automatic withdrawal for my policy each month. They are supposed to take out the payment the 27th of every month. February's payment did not get deducted out my account until March 1st. March's payment never came out. The money was in my account the entire time. I called the insurance broker and she said it came back NSF. I ended up having to pay a late fee on that. Here we are again. My account should have been deducted yesterday and still no sign of payment on my account.
Last month I had to go into the insurance broker office and pay my bill, and after I paid they said my policy was still going to cancel. I called the customer service line and got hung up on by a representative. I call back a second time and they see no record of anything I'm talking about. As soon as I have the money for a down payment for another company I will be done with this place. Don't waste your time or money.
**Update** so I went on 7/7/16 to make a payment. Normally when I am late I pay $300. They told me all that was due was $216. I asked them if they're sure. They said yes. I swiped my card and signed a receipt for $216. I asked, is my policy now in good standing. I was told yes. THREE WEEKS LATER. I get a phone call stating there was an error on THEIR PART and I owe them $83.60 AND that my policy has been cancelled. I am driving a brand new 2016 car. Insurance is a requirement of my loan, as the law. I made sure to clarify with them before leaving the office that all was good. And now I owe them more. And I don't have coverage on my vehicle. Even though this was admittedly their own fault. Save your self the money and frustration and DO NOT GET YOUR COVERAGE HERE.

I called Multistate and after rejecting thier quote they seem to think I have a policy with them that's now gone to collections. I never signed anything or agreed to use my debit card for a purchase. Spoke to "Flo" who was so rude and had an attitude, he said that I had to pay it by the 9th day in order to avoid the late fee, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred blindly to a VM and got hung up on. The other driver's insurance company contacted me three times before Multi-State called me. I wonder what the culture is like at this job site, just a bunch of employees milking the cow until clock out time.

I just became a customer with them and they put a hold on my account for 4 days and the payment still hasn't gone through and the hold was taken off. I was informed it takes 4 days to process a payment, but he couldn't explain why the hold was taken off an he said that just make sure the money is in there and they'll take it out eventually. I had to pay $20 extra because initially they never told me my due date so I got a late fee, then I had to pay $5 extra to process a payment over the phone. Ridiculous. This comoany is a joke and the people are rude as hell.

Worst customer service I have ever had with an insurance company. They refused to change my due date to the 1st of the month so I cancelled my insurance a week after I had made a payment. Instead of refunding what they owed me though they sent me a check for a measly $16 when I paid $92 for the month. A supervisor never bothered to return my call so I am leaving a review on google. Buyers beware. This company will rob you given the chance.

If I could put - stars I would people these type of insurances are scams got in a solo car accident since February my adjuster was horrible named kenia could never contact her would leave messages and messages and probably only contacted me twice since February to today June 25 and they denied my claim wasted all my time absences from work not having a car the whole process was a disaster in March they send me a letter that the claim was settled then in April they change their mind and said they were going to do an depth investigation I would call and ask for the status and they didn t have an answer they would just tell me the claim was on a higher management going through it I was in that situation forever not having answers after months I had to reach out and tell them I had enough and needed an answer told me the claim got denied and to go get my car that they took to their lot and have to pay 1500 on storage fees because they deny the claim so they didn t have an obligation in the fee for storage that they made the decision in taking my car there and I have to pay that money plus the damages since they ruled it a total loss don t know what to do DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT

I wish I could give it less than 1 star, I had a two cars in my policy we recently acquired another car so we took one out of the policy and added the new car, they told me my payments were going to remain the same $246.47 and i was just going to pay changing vehicles on the next bill. It turns out that my payments are not going to remain the same but they are $100 dollars more now which is a big difference. The staff doesn't seem to have knowledge about their policies when I asked why it was going to be more after they said it was going to remain the same they told me it was because of Policy fees and installment fees, go figure. Not my physical address. I went through cost u less and got shafted. I was told to pay first and last monthly payment plus admin fee. They are so expensive. I canceled my plan and switched to geico that very next month. I paid the huge joining fee plus the cost of insurance for that month and after switching insurance agencys I recieved a bill in the mail. When I called asking why I have a bill from them they said its a cancellation fee and they had already sent my bill to collections. Well they lied and havent even sent it to collections yet but before they do I have been calling the number to pay the fee and the automative phone system hangs up on me EVERY time so then I go on to call the other number I looked up and they are always closed even when I try calling a little bit before they SHOULD be closed. Very hectic...

Easily one of the worst companies I've worked with. Majority of the employees are rude, and have no idea which department is in charge of what! LONG wait times, nobody returns calls or requests. My claim was inputted incorrectly which has lead to my premium rising. Can't seem to get ahold of anyone willing to help! A serious headache! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

I honestly believe they don't even know why the charges are there they just have to make up explanations. I went to make a payment one month and found out they canceled my policy because THEY lost my paperwork! I was driving uninsured without knowing!!! I had to resubmit information they already had. I was blatantly lied to about late fees and had to fax proof of my payments even though I made them over the phone with them. There is zero professionalism and I am submitting a complaint to the BBB. -if you speak to Javier, hang up. He laughed at me when I expressed my concerns to him and basically said he couldn t help me. Since I called to cancel that s what he was going to help me do and that he didn t want to add to my irritation. Which he did.
-I HOPE THE CEO OF THIS COMPANY READS THIS AND UNDERSTANDS THAT THIS COMPANY NEEDS BETTER CSR REPRESENTATIVES. I expressed to Mr. Javier that I am a customer experience manager for an advertising company and manage representatives like him and that he was handling the call horribly. He laughed. I don t hope a manager sees this. I hope the CEO does. I ve never been so angry in my entire life with a customer service representative. Javier did it for me.

I am a broker with Multi-State at an independent agency. Don't be scared with all these one star reviews. For the many years I've been working with them I have received nothing but great service. Of course this is through a brokers point of view. We have many customers who have Multi-State and I have never received a complaint from them about the company. I'm not sure why they have so many one star reviews. The only thing I can think of is that these reviewers have a miscommunication through their agency and not the company. The agent is probably promising something to these customers and they are not reading the policy they sign. I just got off the phone with them and the representative was very knowledgeable with the policy he was helping me with. A+

Apparently they won't be doing business with Washington state and wont do monthly payments further. A heads up would have been nice... My contract with them has ended on 14 March, the renewed it without my permission and they took 153 dollars from my account. I called them many times( long waiting until someone responds to u). I sent 6 Emails, they told me they did not receive them. I sent a fax. My provider called them many times but no use. I did not get my money back yet. Very very bad company

I switched to this insurance because I am temporarily in a financial bind due to a lay off but, I had to have insurance. This company was found for me by a local insurance agency that helps people find the best deal. I previously had Esurance and I loved it. This month I was slightly short but Multi-State wouldn't even wave $5 or let me carry it over to the next month. They said unless I pay everything due within 10 days of my monthly due date that my policy would be cancelled. My account has been up to date throughout my policy so far. I feel like they should be more willing to work with the customer.
