If there was a category of 0 per hdp, I would put them behind, once and they discounted me and not only that but they also charged me 35 to come to connect it and 20 for the man knocking on the door, bad births, this shit pertains to the city, many streets are falling apart and still break to make an arrangement, and leave it for a long time, and have the face of charging surcharges.

I was there today, July 7, 2015. The customer service was excellent and polite. I couldn't believe that still existed here in Miami. Even the lady at the toll booth was extremely nice. What a great experience!

I can't give you zero star. I have two account enrolled in the same user. I can't setup my automatic payment for my second account. This is the message: "Due to your environment, this payment service cannot be used at this time. Please contact customer support."
Notes that each IT people in Water and Sewer department makes at least 80 thousand dollars per year plus PTO plus retirement plan plus bonus and and they don't work at all.

Now in Spanish
I cannot give it zero, but I would give it to them. I have two water bills and I cannot set up automatic payment for the second home. The system literally tells me "Due to your environment, this payment service cannot be used at this time. Please contact customer support"
Keep in mind that each IT person charges at least 80 thousand dollars a year with 22 days of vacation, retirement, etc. and they don't work, they don't do anything. This problem takes years and remains the same. They are literally stealing our money.

I tried to give them a chance. The staff is super rude and combative. The woman on the other end of the phone raised her voice at me. This is what's wrong with the the county.

We waited in a vacant house to have water reconnected as they said we needed to be present. They never came during the allotted time frame. 4:30pm-12am

My response- Hi, the water was supposed to be turned on...
Her response- Service is already connected on the property, "check the private valve"
My response- Did someone come and connect it?
Her Response (raised her voice at me)"check the private valve"
My response- there is still no water
Her response- (raised her voice even louder at me)"check the private valve"

I said thank you and hung up, hopefully I'll get a high school graduate next time I call.

I believe we have goods days and bad days but this department sucks unorganized,unprofessional,rude,irresponsible. who controls these county workers they just do what ever they want. i have given them keys to my property 3 times they some how misplaced ive even gone out of my way and left the gate open they show up at another property calling me that my gates locked i have 3 meters on my property they have entered my property and only read 1 meter then leave me a note stating they could not read the other 2 meters because my gate was locked. so how in the hell they read 1 of the 3 in my property we need the county to step up and service this community the way it deserves we over pay enough utility's,tolls,taxes and outrageous insurance rates. HEY COUNTY WORKERS GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO YOUR JOB THIS IS WHAT WE PAY YOU FOR REMEMBER YOU REPRESENT THE COUNTY YOUR NOT THE COUNTY SO REPRESENT YOUR COUNTY IN THE PROPER WAY just like the police supposed represent the law but most of them think they are the law until it catches up to them

Can I say the worst customer service I ve ever experienced!!! On hold for over 2 hours and 15 mins and when I finally decided to leave a message the system didn t take the voice message!! Everyone in that department should be fired and replaced with people who want to work and earn their living!!! Just plain horrible!

Worst customer service not only in Miami Dade but in the United States. When we bought our house our water meter was buried under new sod. We received an outrageous bill when they finally dug it up and back billed us for who knows how long. They would not acknowledge the problem even though the meter reader acknowledged it. To get any answer what-so-ever requires phone call after phone call, letter after letter, email after email. No for profit business would ever stay in business given that kind of customer service.

The service if it can be call service, that this company provides is just horrible. Long story short, I had an underground leak by the water meter, caused by their pipeline lifting a bit from the ground. The leak was on my side of the meter. My bill is usually $70 usd, last bill came for $215 usd. I called they say to get it fix by a plummer, take pictures etc, and fill out the form for a "partial" credit of the bill. I did everything just as I was told. I paid the plumer $350 for the service. WASD then denied my request stating the plumer used the wrong piece, he used PBC instead of cooper-tale, but the thing is I was never told anything about the right piece, to them it might be common sense, but for the average paying customer, there are things we just do not know, if I was told about it from the beginning I would of have made sure it was done with the right piece. When you call their "customer service department" all they can tell you even the managers is oh pay to get it fix again and file a new request. Not even once has anyone say sorry we did not tell you about the right piece, or try to work with me by calling the plumer's company to see why they used the wrong piece, or offer to give me a small credit, anything, all they keep saying is oh, the plummer should of know. They have a bully mafia like mentally and model of business, because since they are the only water company, we as customers have no where else to go. Such a bad experience, they do not care about their customers period.

Outdated company. Other utility companies have satellite/digital systems to calculate consumption, so a person doesn't have to go and read the meter every 3 months. That would prevent MONTHS of water loss due to hidden leaks, which the home owner is not able to know about until the bill arrives THREE MONTHS LATER. The claim process is tedious, outdated, done on paper and mailed to customers. Some customer service representatives are nice and willing to help -but unfortunately they do not have the tools or authority to help in resolving issues. A very professional and nice Supervisor called back and helped by expediting the process to resolve the issue - which it is still pending. It is the whole system needing modernization.

They are very irresponsible left in reconectarme the water in the schedule of 11am to 3pm and it is 11:20 at night and nothing that comes, I get tired of calling and I hang the call. BAD SERVICE, BAD ATTENTION TO THE CUSTOMER are pathetic they do not care that you have small children at home, apart from that the bill arrives super expensive does not give the desire to send anyone to check what problem I can have in my house but to disconnect if it immediately sends a truck that horror of service if it is not because it is a necessity I would never use them again

To change the water meter, the MDWS technician cut our water flow without notice. When I tried to talk to him courteously about our water activities being disrupted, he replied that he was in no mood to talk. I found his attitude rude. He could have been more polite as the utility representative.

I contacted a representative via phone SPEAKING GREAT GROCERA AND ORDINARY ON THE PHONE ... I do not try to help me in the least and after all to show that the culprit was me what kind of customer service is this if there were -0 to put a review how arcane disgusting customer service they have !! I explain that my bill was late, it arrived one day and the other day I already said that it was the payment, I explain to the lady and what she tells me is that they DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE MAIL ???? Guarantee that the bill arrives on time, this is the last thing !! appalling customer service !!

I don't typically leave reviews but I am in this case because Customer Service is supposed to be helpful and friendly. Not the case here!

She asked me to put everything in writing to make Admin aware of this situation which I am not going to do. I cancelled autopay and will now pay by check in future. That is my procedure.

If you forgot to pay the final notice on the water bill, and paid it within the same day through an instantaneous online payment, you would expect your access to water to come back to your home within a couple of hours. This, unfortunately, seems to be more of a privilege than a necessity to the Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer Department, who visited my house over 24 hours ago to disconnect the access to water and yet are nowhere to be found after I've made my payment. This is downright theft, and I shouldn't have to be living in such conditions over a mishap of a payment an entire day later. Expect hostile customer service and an outrageous delay in payment processing from these crooks. Unbelievable.

I have been calling the customer service number for 6 days now at different times of the day to try and speak with customer service and I hear the same message "all representatives are busy on other calls please leave a message, and we will respond within 24 hours" I've been leaving messages since day one, and still no call back. I can't believe I'm saying this but these people are worst than the DMV. They should all be fired and there jobs given to people that actually care about the quality of there work. I just wish I could give zero stars.

Is there way to know when our meter is going to be read? Our home is always visited unannounced, during the day when no one is home and the meter is behind our locked gate. Then when we call after seeing the notice, no one answers and the same thing happens again. Is this a tactic for getting more money from people?

I personally do not owe the water department any past due balances and the Miam-Dade County Water Department is refusing me personally water unless I pay for someone elses use of water in clear violation of FLorida Statutes 180.135 which clearly states: Utility services; refusal or discontinuance of services for nonpayment of service charges by former occupant of rental unit prohibited; unpaid service charges of former occupant not to be basis for lien against rental property, exception.
(1)(a) Any other provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, no municipality may refuse services or discontinue utility, water, or sewer services to the owner of any rental unit or to a tenant or prospective tenant of such rental unit for nonpayment of service charges incurred by a former occupant of the rental unit; any such unpaid service charges incurred by a former occupant will not be the basis for any lien against the rental property or legal action against the present tenant or owner to recover such charges except to the extent that the present tenant or owner has benefited directly from the service provided to the former occupant.

I'm having an emergency because the water is coming back in the toilets and sinks and the plumber says it's a problem with the pipes under the street and he can do nothing, so I start calling WS emergency number and the have a recording saying they do not have a person at this moment to answer the phone!!!!! Can you imagine this in an emergency line????? Outrageous!!!! And the water and sewer bills are not cheap, but even if they were, you cannot have and emergency number and nobody to answer and I couldn't leave a message because the voice mail was full!!!!

This is pure wrong and hurtful. I own a spa between 2 restaurants. I pay around 50 dollars a quarter. I cant believe that I received a bill for 1700. For 10 years this spa have paid and had ZERO ISSUES. At first I call and was told they will check it out. I call back later in April and they said they didn't know but check toilet and everything. If the toilet was messed up in a spa I would fix it that day. I have clients that wash their face. Then I hear nothing back and they disconnect my water. The people I talked too could care less. I haven''t made any repairs and magically my water is back to normal. I know I have had issues with this landlord on the location. I currently have water that leaks from the roof when it rains hard. I explained everything to the water company. I had to pay 600 dollars to get the water turned back on and sent to collections. 10 years and the water company could care less. The only person who cared out of the 8 people I spoke to was Danny. Thx Danny your a good guy. I just don't understand that I have been put in a position to pay or have no business. I'm going to file a complaint on this landlord and after hearing the 3 options on how I went to paying 8 years of water in a day you can bet that the water company will be going to court to explain these options. This was the 3 options. Option 1 a leak underground and the landlord just fixed it. Option 2 A toilet ran for months. Option 3 someone stole the water. Then a couple of agents wanted to say they sent a disconnect bill. That was a lie. A bill came TODAY MARKED JUNE 16TH FIRST CLASS It says if you don't pay 1700 by July 5th were going to disconnect you. I never had a chance even though I called a couple of time in April. They said I was suppose to call by May 9th in which nobody told me that. No letters till today. Nobody tried to call me. There story makes no sense. They know I called concerned a few times but didn't call back another time they claim they told me. Really??? Of course I would call but after a couple of calls and no letters my confidence from the calls was this will be fixed. I lost a day of business for no reason and the water has been off all day due to be reconnected anytime. This is wrong. I work hard for every dime to have my money taken from me with NO OPTIONS but the truth in my heart. I don't blame the water company for my problems in signing a lease with a slum lord. I lost 90 percent of my wealth that I earned over crooks for landlords. This 600 was a lot of money right now and I'm humble to go from being a millionaire to barely scraping by. I was planning something special with that money for my family to lose it for something I didn't do. It hurts deeply. That money was a birthday gift for my wife. I have nothing now.

There was a water line break and I think raw sewage was inside the drinking water.
There was BLACK water coming from the faucet!
The Miami dade water department refused to tell me if my water was contaminated because I did not tell them social security number.

My next call is to the EPA ask them to fine them.

The agent's name was Miguel and he was very arrogant. Does not seem to appreciate the gravity of the situation of raw sewage contaminating the drinking water.

I would give it a (-3) on rating. This is a terrible company and its employees are extremely rude.
Said will turn water on 4-10 PM waited until next morning at 6 AM. Spoke to 7 different reps and only the last person was as human being. Rest are despicable.
Unbelievable that something like this happens to good people every day.

There is no accountability Mr Lester Sola does not have a direct phone or email number. I have suffered; it took 6 months to change a faulty meter (swimming in water) the bill finally went from a horrendous $450 to $245 and they accept no responsibility despite being in the same house with more or less the same bill for 17 years. They are the gestapo. NO customer service whatsoever.

For the 1st time in the 22 years we have lived at our home, my husband forgot to make the water and sewer payment. As we have everything in auto pay but of course, these people are stuck in the DINO age! 7 days from being late, some extremely uncultured rude guy comes to my house knocking on the door LIKE HE IS THE POLICE OR OWNS THE PLACE. (never mind using the door bell/ told ya, uncultured ) i happened to be home sick with the stomach flu, I did not answer the door I was scared to do so, as I was alone. I was looking through the window, and saw what he was doing. Immediately phoned my husband who was near by. He called, paid the bill right away. It has been 1 1/2 hours since he paid. Literally 10 mins after MOE (from the 3 stooges) left our house. I called just now, someone named Michelin (isn t that the name of a tire brand?) answered. I explained I was home with a stomach flu, my small children will be home soon, I even said: look at our record, this NEVER happens to us. Michelin said there was no way of them getting in contact with the people of the field . (I told you, stuck in the Dino age) I explained my husband paid, 10 mins after MOE left. Apparently MOE disconnects and LARRY connects? Pointless phone call, useless person on the phone.
FYI- they don t have accurate reads. So if you feel your bill is higher than usual and suspicious, ask for a detail analysis of your consumption. I am a property manager and they false read all the time. A mistake they call it. Yea...... RIGHT- B.S. is more like it, like their story of their field guys not having a way to communicate with a central office? Yea.... right..... again .

Several customers continue to receive outrageous water bills and nothing is being done about it. #NOACCOUNTABILITY It is obvious that some of your meter readers are reading the meters wrong. My parents that have lived at their home for over 20 years recently received a bill that makes absolutely no sense. My sister and her husband have checked their home for leaks and of course, no leaks. Not an isolated issue. Many of your customers have posted their complaints online regarding their outrageous water bills. Conduct an internal review and find out what the heck is going on?!?

**Update***Ever since they changed my parents meter reader, their bills have decreased significantly. Coincidence, I think not! No refund or courtesy credit has been offered for the human errors. Just their typical attitude #DEALWITHIT

I manage several properties and call them often with no issues. Exercise common sense: Do not call at the end or beginning of each month. This is when people transfer service and they are busy. When you call, do it from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. After 12:00 PM you will have to wait a long time..... try to be nice and try E-Pay.

This rating is for the Customer service rep whom I spoke with today and not really for MDWS.

Arlene whom I spoke with today was at first very polite, but was not candid about giving out her name. She just answer Miami Dade Water and Sewer. Which would be fine, but when a customer ask to whom they are speaking too they should reply, they are a PUBLIC Official and are required to identify themselves when interacting.

We went through all the routine to converse about the account as I had called to find out about my bill. It looks like the meter was read incorrectly or maybe just inputted with whatever. When I ask " how did they get the meter reading" she put me on hold and came back and said she requested a field investigation. Okay what does that have to do with my question? Obviously when i asked the question she tried to over take the conversation and justify her actions and hang up. I even asked her if she documents the conversation and she tried to ignore that question. All i wanted her to document is what i saw which was the meter 15 days after the meter was read was way less than invoiced amount.

This is a service provider acting on behalf the MDWAS who is technically a public official. Regardless they need to swallow that behavior and understand that a customer is the one whom is actually the reasoning they are there in the first place. No issue no Reps.
