The team made everything very easy, everyone we worked with was super helpful and polite. Unlike other places, it seemed no matter who you spoke with, they knew what was going on with your account and were able to help. Highly recommend!

The communication provided during the refi process is absolutely horrible. I get a new email maybe every 2 weeks about another document I need to submit AGAIN. When I respond to that email I don't hear anything for another week or 2. I started this process in November 2015 and to date(3/30/2016) all i keep hearing is "Should be done soon". It didn't even take this long when I initially found an agent, got pre-approved, went house searching, found the house, secured a home loan, closed on the house, and got fully moved.

All of the team members were helpful and responded on a timely basis. The title company however had many errors in the docs brought for closing. Suggest Meridian uses another title company

They sent me a generic letter in the mail a few months after purchasing my new home, saying they have low refinance rates and I am prequalified. I went online filed out there form, no where on the letter or on there site tells you that they can not refinance a mortgage that is less than a year old. I asked them to let the credit beauro know that I was uninformed before giving consent to pull my credit and they told me they cant do that nor help me refi. This company is just pulling people's credit that they can not even offer help to. Then refused to put in the effort to rectify this with the credit beauro or even admit to 50% responsibily to it. This is very unethical and shotty business practices.
**Hard pulls affect your credit and makes your credit go down for anyone reading this that is unaware.

Also if this is the way they handle their clients I am glad I escaped with just a ding on my credit instead of a mortgage that they didnt disclose a ballon payment or something else shady.

Any questions I had were answered professionally and quickly. I recommend Meridian for refinancing highly. The only complaint I have is the time it took from beginning to end. However they assured me it was to make sure I received the best care possible. If you need this done by a certain time, start earlier than expected

My loan experience with Meridian was the most positive and stress free of any I have ever had before in my life. Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and helpful. They kept me informed by phone and email frequently and fielded my questions without hesitation. I had had an absolutely terrible experience a few years ago with Wells Fargo attempting to get a similar loan and Wells Fargo never kept me informed and I had to drag information out of the loan officers. Wells Fargo changed their rules on me more than once during the process and finally I backed away from them after wasting a lot of time and effort on my part. Meridian folks always told me the truth and never hid or changed the rules and kept me in the loop and did not forget about me. Oliver Quinn of Meridian was especially helpful throughout this process despite having to deal with Covid -induced complications like working at home and the death of my wife of 45 Years in October. Although they finally came through with a loan I approved of, it took forever and I had to fight with them tooth and nail the whole time to get a decent rate. I only stuck with it because I already had so much time and effort invested into the process, that I did not want to start all over again. I would not recommend.

They started off so strong... but maybe that is where they "get you". After we started in on the process and moved forward into the appraisal things went down hill FAST. Despite the fact that you deal with so many people along the way the amount of time it took to hear back from anyone was appalling. I understand the holidays adding in extra time but just trying to get updates was a process on my end. I worked with the Orange team to close and one person said they would get back to you within 4 hours but every time I contacted him the 4 hour mark was never met, even when I CC'ed in the team lead Matt Brown it never made a difference neither ever followed up unless I called. It finally got to a point where I called in and stated I did not want to talk to either of them because they lacked any form of customer service. Paperwork that I sent over was never processed like it should have been again even with the "team lead" cc'ed in. The next person we worked with was a little more responsive but as I type this I am still waiting for a response back to an email I sent over 17 hours ago, even someone from there sent an email last night asking that they contact me asap this morning and still nothing. In the end they took our money, offered nothing in return for the horrible customer service, and I now know to take my business elsewhere and let everyone else know they should do the same. Can they get the job done? Sure, but if you are looking for somewhere that is less stress and less work on your end find another company.

When we started the loan refinance, I was really impressed by the first phone call I made. The Team were great. It took longer than expected because I called them in October and that put us in the middle of the Holidays. We had also some unexpected questions that came up. All loans are different as are houses. I will not recommend this company to do your Home mortgage. Please don t go by their fake paper offer and recommendation to apply for home mortgage or refinance for cash out. You will be regret on after applying with them. I have excellent credit 793, my house worth 270k and loan is only 205k and some balance of credit card, and we make around $140k yearly. Still they didn t offer anything besides offering FHA loan with another additional $700 payment for another same 30 years and they offer conventional loan for 20 years 3.27 which i already have with my current Mortgage company. I saw in that offer letter they will pay for appraisal fee..... hun that's big lie,,,, They asked $7700 total to closing cost. Are you kidding me... .... Agent i worked with he said why shouldn't try just on your name , i said ok but it come out same. Manager called me back to offer better rate but nothing change. They worried about the review i provided versus really helping people.... and promise they made in their recommendation pre approval letter. They should stop sending this kind of offer letter to consumer and attract consumer to apply mortgage refinance loan through their company. I am going to file the report of this company to credit bureau and other affiliated agency for this kind of activities.

Meridian was very professional. They said what they would do and did what they said they would; correctly, on-time and in a pleasant and efficient manner.. Very good experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

The process of refinancing was easy and communication throughout the process was good.

Sent me misleading ad that I qualified for a lower rate (1/2 percent). Rate actually increased and I had my credit pulled for no reason.

How would you interpret how the team did since the refi took 5 months?
I've had 6 new mortgages and a few refis in my life and none took more that 45 days. Too many Meridian handoffs - must have been six , maybe seven people that I had emails or calls from. In addition, there was an outside property appraiser and underwriter. Totally dissatisfied with the time it took.

Communication during the process was average. Selling my loan on the day of closing but not getting a letter till three weeks later frustrated me.

Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and professional. They kept me well informed during the entire process. Would highly reccomend. Nick Outen and Mark Mitchell are great, kudos guys!

It was a smooth process from start to finish. It took about 60 to close our refinancing. I would definitely recommend Meridian.

Deceptive mailings. Savings difference amount before and after refinance do not include taxes and insurances in their postal mailing. Small print warnings.

Meridian was there guiding me and helping me every step of the way, until I finally closed on my refinance of my home. It was a good experience. Whenever I had questions, I was able to get answers quickly, even after closing. Uploading documents was easy and secure. I highly recommend Meridian for your home mortgage needs.

Communication was poor at best once the loan was initiated. When trying to secure our business they were great. Once we got started it seemed as if we wanted any information at all we had to call them. Many mortgage companies use a pipeline email system to keep you informed as to where your loan is at in the process, Meridian does not. We couldn t even get an update email. Sometimes we had to call repeatedly to get a question answered. Never call on a Friday as they rarely answered the phone. The process to close this loan was longer than we expected, especially the appraisal and underwriting aspects. We did get snapped at a couple of times for not checking the portal, when we did there was nothing new. Meridian understands their system, not all of their borrowers do. I will say Carly in underwriting was awesome and did her best. A big thank you to her.

We had tried to refiance a couple of months prior to Meridian but were turned down by Chase even though we had a mortgage with them for over 10 years, they said it was because of our income to debt ratio and they made no offers of help other then to get more income so we gave up until we received the offer from Meridian which was Much Better than the Chase offer so we decided to try once again. They did say that we should consider doing business with a smaller mortgage company rather than a bank which is why we noticed the offer from Meridian to begin with.

Meridian Home Mortgage did Exactally what they said they would do if we chose them to refianance our home, They not only paid off our Mortgage but also our Credit Cards AND our Car Loan which will really help us each and every month.

We really appreciated the video we received from Tony Tucci explaining the process step by step.

Also it was Great that they let us know what was going and where we were in the process each and every week by phone or email and sometimes both.

When we ran into a snag because of a leased car we co-signed for our daughter they let us know what it would take to solve the problem which we did and then everything went as they said it would from there until we closed.

We have refianced before but with different companies but Meridian is the First time we felt they really carred for us personally and helped us whenever they could.

Our future is Much Brighter now thanks to Meridian Home Mortgage Corporation working with us to refinance our home.

Seriously. They were a waste of time. Going through the process even though they knew loan to value numbers wouldn't meet criteria. It's laughable that a company would waste the homeowner's time, inspection time, and just the fact that they jumped ship immediately when nothing panned out for their agenda. I truly believe they are a numbers game looking to 'serve' whoever falls into their plan and then they get to add to their marketing regardless of successful stats.

Recieved an offer in the mail with my current mortgage on it. And them stating they could save me almost 800 a month. Reading all the options i thought awesome. These people are miracle workers... nope when calling to confirm the numbers all were not including my compounded escrow. When i questioned this the guy became rude to me on the phone. Not a good way to try and retain a customer. Good luck on your shady practices and having people run their credit before discussing the numbers. Maybe your letter should list the rates and directly under it say "escrow not included" its very misleading when your comparing it to my payment that has escrow included...

I received an invite to refinance my mortgage with Meridian and I had an FHA that I was ready to get rid of the PMI. Meridian was very helpful all the way through the process. There was a communication breakdown at one point but Meridian worked incredibly hard to make things right and made sure I was taken care of and that the refinance made sense and met our financial needs. I was extremely impressed with their customer service throughout the process and so thankful for their dedication to making sure I was completely satisfied with the refinance. Overall, it was an easy process and they did a fantastic job of keeping me informed as things progressed.

I have closed many times on different loans over the years and i must say Meridian Home Mortgage did a great job with my difficult loan. Great Job by the staff. Would recommend Meridian to any one looking for a new loan.

It would take me an hour to explain why my experience with this place has been HORRIBLE. My boyfriend and I have been trying to refinance a mortgage and after a month of getting the runaround from these people and sending them ALL of our information 15 different times, they cancelled our appointment for our appraisal (without informing us). After calling three different Meridian reps several times, no one is answering our calls. I'm done with them. If anyone actually gets back in touch with us, we're nixing this entire thing.

Meridian was very easy to work with, responsive, and prompt in communications.

From receiving the letter in the mail and making the first call, to closing on the mortgage was very quick and effortless. We did talk with a many number of people at Meridian, but they all seemed to have a role and could answer any question I had. We did have our main point of contacts info, but I never had to reach out to that person. I have had nothing but a positive experience in re financing our mortgage, and would highly recommend anyone else that is in the market for a refi, to contact Meridian.

Bait and switch artists. They send you a mailer, you call in, they promise you a loan amount substantially higher than your house would ever be worth you express doubt they continue through and sure enough it comes out that they just made up a number of of no where, I believe the term they used was "reverse engineered. " And the loan is only a refinance offer at a higher interest rate than you already have. When specifically asking the loan agent why they would ever present a number that was based on the home I own increasing in value by over 80% in two years time he just replied... Well I'm not an appraiser.

He asked if I wanted to continue with the refinance offer with little cash back and a percentage rate higher than what I have now. I said no thank you. Why would anyone want to do business with a mortgage company that doesn't have any concept at all of inflation or home values.

The People we worked with at Meridian were lovely. When you call, they answer, not an automated system. The only complaint was the length of time that it took, three months from start to finish. After the house was assessed and final details (how much, loan length) addressed, I had to call the Associate handling the closing for updates of status and process. This was different from the initial associates who were detailed on every aspect. That is the reason for four stars instead of five (I would have only deducted a 1/2 star but the system would not let me). Consistent contact through out the process would be lovely.

We did our refinance with them. They are very quick at answering emails but terrible at phone calls. Overall though I would fully recommend them. In the future I am going to use them to refinance again if needed. Everyone was nice and knew what they were talking about. Everything they told us about our loan was true, no lies.

Excellent, contact free service! A little slow due to the corona virus, but very easy to work with!

After we retired, we tried to refinance our house to change it from a 30-year with a high interest rate to a 15-year with a lower rate. We were told that there were repairs that it was suggested we make before we had an appraisal done. We had windows, doors, and siding installed. We remodeled the kitchen and two bathrooms. We went to Wells Fargo to refinance the mortgage that we had with them. Because of the expenses we had incurred with the improvements had increased our debt to equity they would only give us part of what it would take to pay off the expenses. The main problem was that three of the projects were financed with Wells Fargo. They refused to pay off any of the Wells Fargo loans and our interest rate would be higher that it currently was. We went to our credit union who were willing to refinance but advised us to wait six months and pay down some of the other bills to give us a better chance of getting what we needed. Shortly after the pandemic started, we received an advertisement in the mail for Meridian Mortgage. It listed our mortgage and all of our bills and said that they could refinance us and take care of all of it. It said we could get cash back and a much lower interest rate. I filled out the form on the back of the advertisement and faxed it in. Within an hour I received a call from a Meridian representative that began the most rewarding home refinance process that we have ever experienced. On 5/13/20 our application was accepted. Christopher, Phil, and AJ stayed in constant contact with me. They helped us complete all the requirements and submit the required documents on-line. The people at Meridian arranged the appraisal. They worked with us to pay off all of the Wells Fargo accounts and gave us enough cash back to pay several more bills. The interested rate was very good. A closer was sent to our home to finalize the closing so we never had to leave our house for anything during the process. During this time of COVID 19 that was very important to use because of our age. They were not able to provide the funds that were proposed in their initial advertisement but what they were able to provide was based on our appraisal and our financial records. What they were able to provide was more than we had dreamed we would be able to accomplish. Even after the closing when I contacted Phil with a minor issue concerning the cash back to us that I was only letting them know about for future customers, he was quick to take care of it and even sent us a gift for letting them know. I would highly recommend Meridian to anyone considering refinancing their mortgage. They are by far the best company we have ever done business with.

I am pleased with the service I received from Meridian. They offered me a great rate on my refinance, and the staff were always courteous and professional. The only problem I experienced was the long wait time for the paperwork to be processed and approved by the underwriter, which they said was due to COVID.

Did a 100% cash out refinance through Meridian. They set up and paid for the appraisal, pest inspection and water test. Locked in at a great fixed rate. You do deal with a few different "teams" through the process. Not an issue, just wanted people to know you don't start with one person and stay with them through the whole process. I would do business with them again.

Seemed like a good idea - should have been our first clue. Process took forever then they kept asking for the same information over and over and over. The 5 people we worked with were nice but it was frustrating to have to continually send information to them, when they already had it. Final straw - our first payment is due 7/1/2020, letter arrived yesterday that our mortgage is already sold! Thanks Meridian. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Overall, I had a very positive experience with Meridian Home Mortgage. They were very responsive at every step of the process. I also appreciate that when I reached out to them with emails, phonecalls, texts, etc...they were quick to respond to my requests. The only thing that I would have preferred to have been different might have been the length of time that the loan process took..it took about 4 months overall. But it was worth it! I was hesitant to do business with a company outside of the area where I lived but am so thankful I did. Meridian Home Mortgage far exceeded my expectations. They communicated with me every step of the way and in the format I requested since I am not a savvy on line individual they honored my request and forwarded all correspondence via over night mail. The individual I worked with was Oliver Quinn and he did a fantastic job in the handling and ultimately closing of my loan during an exceptionally busy time for mortgage refinancing. All questions were answered within hours of being asked. The advice and background information we received were accurate and appreciated.

We did a refi from 30 to 15 years. Great to work with. They listed everything they would need from us right from the beginning and responded very quickly to questions we asked. They kept us up to date both with email and phone calls. Whole process took less than a month, even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I would give Meridian a lot more than 5 stars. They made my refinancing so easy and I closed in less than a month. I would recommend them to everyone!

The process was very slow. From start to finish took 7 weeks. Everyone that I interacted with were cordial and knowledgeable. I would defiantly become a return customer because of the assistance I received

Received a letter from Meridian literally stating that I have been pre-screened by them and am eligible to save $1,206 per month and a fixed mortgage rate of 3.25% by refinancing with them and paying off credit cards with a $10,000 loan. The letter appeared too good to be true, but I gave it a shot. Upon calling them the next day, the unenthusiastic loan officer offered me an INCREASE to my mortgage by just under $300 a month! And the rate jumped to 3.5%

Clearly, I had been fooled. I asked why they sent me this inaccurate letter in the mail, she said she will speak to her boss. I ended the call. Who sends people such a false promise with such details in the letter only to offer them an INCREASE if they refinance through them? Am I missing the point of a refinance? This had to have been a prank that I fell for. Oh and BTW my credit was in the 700s. Nice job Meridian, it looks like people are slowly starting to figure you out.

Meridian worked incredibly hard to find me a rate I thought was impossible. The entire process was easy, low-pressure, and personable. Every step was laid out in bite-size chunks and they kept me up to date throughout the process.

We received a Meridian offer in the mail that seemed interesting. It said that we could refinance our house, get rid of our (sad to say) large credit card debt, pay no closing costs, and receive a payment of $10k at closing based on our current equity. It seemed too good to be true. As it turned out, it almost was!

The reason this isn't a 5 star rating, is because the net result wasn't as great as we had hoped, but it still was a huge positive for us. Based on the current assessed value of our home, FHA rules limited the overall amount we could borrow. Still, we were able to knock half a point off our current mortgage rate, get the largest of our credit cards paid off, and still walked away with about $3,400 at closing.

Before we started the process, we consulted a few online firms that said they didn't have a product anything like Meridian. The process itself pretty much went without a hitch. We even got an apology from the last person responsible for handling things, because the process was taking longer than usual due to the pandemic. I praised him stating that the whole thing went very smoothly, from uploading documentation through their portal, to the appraisal, and the closing. Our neighbor started a refi months before we did and she's still waiting to close!

Began the refinancing process mid October. 3 and 1/2 months ago and still have no idea when we are closing the loan. My husband an I have good credit, never missed a mortgage payment in the 18 years I ve lived in my home and they keep telling me waiting on one more thing . Absolute nightmare!!! I would go with another company, but if feels like I am committed to this process. And it hurts our credit to explore other options. Wish I never heard of this company. Run, far far away if you re considering refinancing!!!! I would give them a ZERO, if I could. So very, truly and utterly disappointed!!!!!

TERRIBLE - WHAT A SCAM
Do not bother with this company. Horrible customer service starting from the very beginning with the no call backs. When you finally get back your loan package it is NOTHING like the "offer" they send you in the mail. Save yourself the aggravation as well as the ding on your credit score.
Go with a more reputable company....

The Meridian team was outstanding starting with my Loan Officer Tony and supported throughout the entire process to final closing by Jami, Kara, and several others. It took two tries in 2016 and 2017, but the Meridian team made it happen with a very generous lender credit on a VA refi that required NO out of pocket costs to close AND put $300 back in our pocket each month with an awesome interest rate. Who else does that?? Recommended with enthusiasm!

Please do NOT use them. We uploaded all of the documents they needed from the get go, but then kept receiving messages that they didn't have some of them. Then I re-uploaded some documents. Then they told us the guy that was working on it left the company, and someone should be getting with us soon. When we told the lender what our house was worth, she jacked it up another 50,000 grand(without telling us) to tell us we would be approved and to continue with the process. She should have told us right up front that it wouldn't be worth our time or credit. Our house was only worth 5,000 above what we told her it was worth. From the get go, it was a mess. I regret it all.

I received a refi offer through the mail but am skeptical due to the amount of reviews that state they cannot help those who received these offers.Credit scores have ALWAYS been a scam.
