Meridian was great to work with when we decided to refinance our mortgage. We received one of their estimates in the mail and choose them based on the options provided to us. When we shopped around other banks, no one was able to come close to the same deal. Every step of the way they were responsive and always really helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to refinance their home.

It was a fast and somewhat seamless process. Towards the end, when working with the pipeline manager, I did have some difficulties when reaching out but nothing went unresolved for the most part. Job well done by a group of solid individuals. I appreciated every single person who I was able to coordinate with and I would do the process again in a heartbeat.

I am totally satisfied with Meridians handling of my VA refinancing of my home. Everything with the exception of final closing was handled online and in a timely manner. The entire process was completed in less than 60 days, and Meridian me or exceeded all estimated time estimates for each step of the process. Special kudos to Dave Committe. He led me through each step and answered all of questions in a timely manner and his professionalism and expertise were outstanding.
On a scale of 1-10, I give Dave Committe and the rest of the Meridian team 100.

Everyone who was involved in my loan process was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. They were always keeping me updated on everything through out the process. If they were not able to reach by phone they would immediately send me an email regarding things they may need or an update on the loan. Once again thank you everyone involved in my loan process.

Meridian Home Mortgage Corporation exceeded my expectations. This was the best experience and their staff went beyond the call of duty to make sure I got the best interest rate. He was so patience and just all around wonderful to work with even when I got frustrated. Refinancing your home can be a difficult challenge but the staff at Meridian were so dedicated to me and helped me get the best deal on a lower interested so I was able to cut 15 years off my mortgage. This opportunity has given me a chance down the road to hopefully retire and that's awesome for a single girl like me. They helped me get debt free and now I have an opportunity to pay my home off early and enjoy Florida. They worked so hard for me and during one of the toughest times in Americas history, they just went above and beyond. Thank you Meridian for this great opportunity.

Wasted time...started out with great people but despite all documents provided they discriminately ruled me out. On my 2015 tax return reported 91k of income but they insisted that I did not have enough income. Keep in mind my home was appraised in 2009 so I assured the loan officer the income was there he insisted on not moving forward. They responded below that they don't consider 2015 yet they insisted on me to signing 4506 T IRS form in which they requested 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018transcripts. They were seeking reasons to say no. They only consider 2 years of income but they requested 4 years. Folks these are deceptive people. Stay away. No worries Mark 9:42 KJV

We have excellent credit, and a near perfect loan history. They sent us a flyer saying all kinds of promises about lowering monthly payments with loan consolidation, but only when you agree to have them pull your credit (and damage your score) do they admit it s just a glorified equity loan. So if you can t get what you want through the credit union/bank of your choice due to not enough equity, DON T go to these guys. Once he found out I wasn t interested in any of his backup loans, he got quite rude and short. Not to mention he was the third different person who supposedly handled our account before the loan was even started. And they even left off a crucial bit of information that would have affected the bottom line had we gone forward. Very sloppy research and follow through.. the company doesn t have a designated loan officer willing to invest and talk to your family, don t use them. This is a company that uses misleading advertising to get naive people like me to bite and then tries to overwhelm them with numbers and info to get them to make sub-par loans in the company s interest. He wasn t happy that I kept cutting him off and telling him to get to the point on what type of loan it was. Don t make my mistake-lesson learned.

JOKE! we received a solicitation in the mail from them asking us for our business. after we complied, and gave them the necessary information, and having them ding both credit bureaus with a hard inquiry (app and co-app) they refused our business. SCAM !!!!!

We recently did a refi on our home thru Meridian. We had a mixed bag of goals with regard to monthly payment, bill payoff and cash out. They worked thru the goals with us and came up with a great solution. 100% satisfied with the communication and handling of the transaction.

My experience with Meridian Home Mortgage was great. Every employee I spoke with on the phone were very friendly and helpful. Any questions I had, they were able to answer. If I sent an email, they always replied in a timely manner. Prior to starting my process, I was a bit skeptical about going through this process. The process was very slow at the start but picked up a fast pace and finished on high note. I am extremely satisfied with Meridian Home Mortgage Corporation. Meridian and staff are Honest, sincere, respectful and friendly. This was a VA refinancing, they scheduled the home inspection and appraisal. They gave me a great low interest rate and kept me informed every step of the way. Closing was professional and in order. Everything that was promised delivered. Outstanding Service , Communication, and follow up throughout the entire process of a refinance. Staff was professional and helpful.

Meridian was able to do for us what other refi mortgage lenders were not and I know because we first tried with the "rocket" competitor, which would have done virtually nothing in accomplishing our goals. With Meridian, we were able to pay off all of our credit card debt, get cash out, reduce our interest rate, and still just about keep the same payment and remaining loan term of our original mortgage. While we hit a few unexpected snags/delays along the way, the team at Meridian did their best to keep us moving through the process as quickly as they could. And, yes, I was intiially wary of their mailed marketing materials, but in the end they actually delivered for us.

Meridian was an extraordinary waste of time. They don't answer phones or emails half the time. My loan officer cooked up outrageous numbers that weren't even in the ball park of reality. They wasted two months and pulled our credit scores for no reason. I almost thought there was something dishonest going on, but it turns out it was just gross incompetence. Stay far away from this mess.

We really enjoyed working with this company, they were with with us every step of the way. If I had any questions/issues, they were handled in a timely manner. This is unlike other companies we have worked with before! I highly recommend them! It was a blessing to have them pay for the appraisal up front, that was huge for us!

We refinanced with them, it took a little longer than expected because we changed our mind on the loan type based on how the appraisal came back, but this had nothing to do with Meridians diligence. They were in constant contact throughout the process and moved quickly everything the ball was in their court. Their overall customer service was great.

I dealt with several people at Meridian as my refinance moved through the pipeline, and all were helpful and informative. I especially appreciated Matt, who ushered me through the final stage, which was very lengthy due to the sheer volume of loans the underwriting department was processing. He followed up frequently to assure me that everything was on track, and the closing happened very quickly once it cleared.

I received my offer in the mail and was immediately suspicious, so I went online to read reviews. The message that stuck out was that the super low rate referenced on the flyers (3.5%) was actually not available. I asked about this when I called and I was assured that if I qualified, I could get the advertised rate. The qualifying credit score was 740. I met the criteria so I proceeded. The next day they called me and told me I qualified for the 3.5% and began reading off numbers to be. They read off my debts and escrow. Then they got to the closing costs. THE CLOSING COSTS ARE $9,800!!!! That is insane. At this I started saying things like, are you f**king serious?! Who signs up for this? It turns out this is an FHA loan and that s why the rate is low and at least partially why the fees are high. If you qualify for a conventional mortgage don t waste your time. This process was insulting.

My experience was all positive through the entire process. I was always kept up-to-date.. Every team member I had contact with was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful.

I was already considering refinancing when I received their offer in the mail. I performed some cursory research and determined they were a legit company. There were a number of reps involved throughout the process. They were all friendly and helpful and kept me updated on progress.
I would have left 4.5 stars if I could, but I couldn't leave 5 stars as there were just a few things along the way which were less than perfect.
First: overall getting from a-z took a long time. About 2.5 months in my case, and that was with me providing requested info and docs within hours of request.
Secondly: Some of the requested info was redundant. It may have been requested by the underwriters at the end, but the info or docs had already been supplied to Meridian previously.
Third: A couple of times when I supplied info about the desired total of the loan, the ball was dropped. At the last stage the total proposed from Meridian was the maximum loan amount I qualified for, and this amount was way more than I had requested (as far as the cash-back portion) which then took an extra day or two near the end of the process to reconcile.
Overall though, a very positive experience. Once the ink dried, all payments were sent out expeditiously.

You just have to stay on top of your roll and they'll do their part. The process is a little hectic but it always is dealing with big matters like your home.

They will give you numbers that sound amazing and then completely change the offer before you finalize. Wasted a month of my time with tons of paperwork
