Initially started out rocky because I didn't qualify for a conventional load however the the process eventually smoothen out the further we went along. Thought the APR was high, however, paying PMI and this new APR are still lower than the APR on the debt that I was able to payoff.
Meridian was able to deliver 100% on what they promised. It was wonderful to go into closing without any surprises. Everyone who worked with us along the way was very responsive and helpful. To deliver such a pleasant experience during COVID-19 is impressive. You can trust these guys.
Everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant, helpful and extremely responsive. If we had a question, it was typically answered within an hour (most often less!). The process was swift, I believe we closed in less than 45 days on our refinance.
I was a bit disappointed to learn how high the closing costs were, but I suppose all a part of the price you pay. I wasn't expecting to pay that much for the loan.
Overall, I would recommend them and should we find ourselves in need of a loan, we would likely return thanks to David, Ed, Marshall and Marleen!

There are times when you receive junk mail on a regular basis and just ignore it. But sometimes something catches your attention and it's NOT JUNK!! We had received MERIDIAN information before and discarded it. But after trying to refinance with our Mortgage Company and a local bank with the rates dropping because of the pandemic, we received another letter from MERIDIAN and checked them out with BBB. We quickly reached out to MERIDIAN and within minutes of speaking with someone we were on track to refinancing! We were impressed right from the moment we spoke with Joanne. Things moved along very nicely. They keep in touch with you right along the way. Phone calls and emails were all done in a timely matter and they were always very receptive to helping us out with any questions! Their customer portal for exchanging information and uploading or downloading information was extremely easy to maneuver! The timing of the refinancing and the cash back that we received couldn't have been better. We weren't even planning on cash back but it worked out that way and will help us with an upcoming wedding in 2021! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with MERIDIAN and the entire staff! Every person we spoke with was knowledgeable, friendly. and forthcoming. It was a pleasure ding business with your company. We received a fantastic rate. I do, however, have 1 suggestion. When you tell a client their money will be in the bank on a certain date, please inform them the money will be in the bank by the end of business on that date.
You cant go wrong with Meridian. Our process went on for about 3 months but part of that was because we needed to make repairs to our house. The people really take the time to make sure that all the necessary documents are in place for your convenience. They even came to our house for the final closing in the evening so I didn't even need to take time off work; that is going above expectations for me! Would definitely recommend.

How Meridian has a 5 star review is insane to me. After all the hoops they made me jump through and the numerous times they didn t respond to my calls or emails plus all the paperwork I had to acquire they could not hold up to what they were offering. My house was appraised $25,000 higher than what I purchased it for and they still couldn t. I looked at reviews and I noticed that a lot of people had similar experiences to me and they happened to be the one star reviews. If you get that letter in the mail from them. Trash it. Waste of time. I m convinced the 5 star two sentence reviews are fake and done by their own employees. Meridian is a scam

On a scale of one to ten, our experience with Meridian Home Mortage would be rated a six. We felt there was information that the underwriter requested was not relevant to us being approved for the loan. There was information that was requested to be emailed, scanned or faxed. For whatever reason, during the loan process, that same information was requested again. Other than that frustration, the professionalism of the team, and the ease of being able communicate via telephone or email was commendable.

My experience with Meridian has been positive. We started the process on the 8th of April and closed on the 25th of May. We were able to keep the required documents flowing in a timely manner. They kept me posted as to what was taking place during the processing of the application.
An almost pleasant experience as far as refinancing goes. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. Not just one person kept me informed and answered every question, a whole team of people were there for us. From beginning to end, from the first person I spoke to to the last. We had a very good experience with Meridian HM throughout the process. From start to finish we had a lot of questions. Every question was answered with either a phone call or email and answered quickly and thoroughly. As with most things right now (middle of a pandemic) it took a little longer than normal but other than that had a good experience. Would recommend to friends that they at least see what they have to offer.

I had a great experience from start to finish on my refinancing with Meridian. They were prompt, answered questions quickly and it was a smooth process. I would recommend Meridian to anyone.
What a messed up experience! I wouldn't use them again. The process took far longer than they said it would. Rather than having one contact I had to deal with MANY people and MANY were VERY unprofessional. My refinance finally went through but it was a much more painful process than needed.
Overall a smooth process - however, it was a very slow process.
While Meridian eventually came through the whole process was a mess. Items were requested piece by piece, even after we submitted each item requested during the initial document phase. We were told roughly 30-45 days to close. We submitted our original paperwork on April 29th and didn't close until JULY 30th! Was a very stressful experience with lots of end of business day phone calls on Friday that we were missing information. Would never do this again with them!
I am extremely pleased with how seemless the entire process of my refi was.
Meridian made the process very easy. After looking around, we discovered Meridian's rates were similar or better than competitors. After clearing up a misunderstanding trying to get the application submitted, things went great. We were constantly apprised of where we were in the application process. We never had to call or contact Meridian. They proactively emailed and called us at each step along the way. I would certainly recommend Meridian.

I researched more than ten offers with the same results: my cell blowing up with messages from multiple, hard-sell reps; hours of wasted time; no good options and complete lack of trust in home mortgage lenders. Now.I feel like I'm working with my hometown bank. No sales pitches, interactions with knowledgeable, patient, respectful people, and I will save more than $30,000 in interest long term. I actually trust this team.

The staff at Meridian Home Mortgage is very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. There were 2 issues that did arise: their estimate of my home value and the availability of their staff. My home value was over estimated by $12,000! which caused me some major challenges when my cash out was substantially reduced! Also, their staff can be difficult to reach in the afternoon during normal business hours.
Super quick and easy to work with. Aj, Richard and Anthony made our process super easy and fast. Even with Covid19, it was super fast, it took us just 3 weeks all our process. We are so happy we were able to work with Meridian Home Mortgage and we will sure recommend it to all our friends and family.

I would say the people that I deal with I say deal bc I m still trying to get to closing sense the beginning of August. But the people I ve dealt with over the whole thing have be pretty good and respond pretty quickly. I do have a problem with this process though I have given them all the info they asked for but apparently that wasn t good enough so they went to my employer to verify my income oh wait that wasn t good enough either we have to go back to your employer and verify more about your income. I gave you my paystubs and my w2s my boss conformed You i work there then you verify from my corporate office about my pay. What else could you need seems like the underwrites are idiots. It s been in underwriting sense September 4th and it s October 24 now. I got my first mortgage through meridian not online and it took 2 months and I had know problems with my income or anything and I m in the same job make more money I don t get it but I ll never us meridian online again plus its a high interest rate then I have now and if I wasn t as far as I am now I would cancel the whole thing. If you have other options don t use this company if your stuck then give it a try and leave a bad review when they screw with you
I received a letter from Meridian in the mail with a offer code. I called them and was explaining my situation but the representative Cathrene was very rude, doesn't have any knowledge and behaved very badly. Totally unacceptable . Will not do business with such people.

I received one of the many flyers in the mail for refinancing, was sketchy at first, but gave them a call, turns out it was the best decision i have made in years. the company IS REAL, they are a total team, located in Westminster MD, i live in PA, refinanced my home and paid off (almost) all my debt, a little high on the closing costs. took about 1.5 months from start to finish, they paid for appraisal and everything . closing done AT your house. they send an agent. Interest rate was reasonable to market value. so don't worry if your considering a refinance, or equity loan, they ARE legit, and do it all, secure website portals for transfer of documents , phone calls anytime you want. many team members to assist you . Go for it, Great Job Meridian team....
Meridian sold my mortgage to a really difficult to work with mortgage company. Update: Contacted them as per their response to my review. They did not reply or change anything. As far as I can tell they just responded to my review to give the appearance that they care to or could do something while not doing anything.
Everyone from Anthony Tucci to Stephanie DiPietro and all in between( pipeline team) were nice and courteous to work with. Had some bumps along the way but all worked out. A little confused on a couple of things though....? my closing fees where estimated to be about 5K, but according to final paperwork was over 15K. And was not told all specs on how my FHA loan( extra insurance) payments worked( up front cost and then every month for next 11 years.....?) After closing, I received a follow up call explaining everything to me and was much more at ease after conversation.
Meridian is a fine company to do business with and I appreciate all there follow up calls.
The refinance process turned out to be a lot easier and quicker than I had expected. Stephanie and Matt were great to work with. It's hard to find great customer service these days.

This place sent a VERY misleading piece of mail that told me I was pre-approved for a home refinance in the amount of $218,000. It obviously had my credit report and said I could take the extra cash to pay off that balance plus $10,000 in cash. Wow, I thought. So I fill in the application, get a call and find out they can only cash out 80% of the appraised value. Well my house is worth about what the offer letter was for. Add on the $14,000 in refinancing cost they don t mention and it doesn t work out on any planet. May be a decent company if you have 50% home equity but don t even get the hard credit inquiry if you have less than that.
The refinance went smooth with Meridian. They kept me in the loop during the underwriting process and let me know exactly what was needed on my part throughout. I would highly recommend them if you are a Veteran and would like to use your equity in your home to help you get out of debt.

They came through with their offer, we now have lower monthly payments. They were always quick to respond and provided the information we asked for. The process took a long time (probably 4 months) and involved a lot of paperwork, but I think that is typical and it was worth it in the end. They even allow you to close the loan at your house in the evening after work, which was very convenient. They send an attorney right to your house.
I tried Meridian after starting a refinance with the lender who was servicing our mortgage. They came up with a better rate for us, and we went with them. Everything went smoothly and communication was excellent throughout.
The process took longer than I thought it would, but it will save us money finally by refinancing.
