It has been almost 2 months no response to my 7 em...

It has been almost 2 months no response to my 7 emails and 4 voice messages I just want to conform I am purchasing the correct channel lighting, I am trying to avoid 50% restocking fee also I was willing to drive 4 hours to go to the showroom once I read the reviews I found out the delivery will take months not 12 days no communication to find out if I can pick up from the location it is their loss I was ready to spend around $6,800.00 I am lucky I just wasted my time not the money.

The selection is great; service, not so much. They're ever so helpful while you're buying, but once the sale is made, prepare for a lack of organization. They continued to deliver lighting which I had asked them to hold.

Worse, their salesperson recommended Intellis for consultation and installation. When this company turned my life into chaos, caused me to come in thousands of dollars over budget, and when the owner, Peter Pruneanu, began to harass me re payment for work he didn't do or screwed up, Lightology "couldn't get involved."

Now I'm waiting to hear from them after a $3k fixture was delivered damaged. I imagine that will take as many calls as it did to get my delivery untangled.

I'm an interior designer and industry professional...

I'm an interior designer and industry professional who placed thousands of dollars worth of product orders for my clients via Lightology in the last year. To complete a client's Master Bath project, I ordered a set of Sara Double Sconces and a single Sara Sconce, to accompany a prior order, already installed, of the same. When the light fixtures arrived, they were in a satin nickel finish, not a chrome finish as needed. I contacted my sales rep, numerous times, to remedy the issue and swap the fixtures for the correct finish. She dodged my emails and phone calls and finally passed me off to the "customer service" rep. After many repeated attempts at contacting this rep, I was finally advised they would need to process a return on the fixtures in the incorrect finish before they could replace with the correct fixtures. They encouraged me to place a new order for the correct fixtures prior to the return being completed, to expedite the process. In good faith the return/exchange would be processed, I did so - ordering another $2000 in the same product, correct finish.

I had to fight for several weeks to maintain communication, and retrieve return labels for the return fixtures. After many emails to the CS Dept and many unreturned phone calls, I was finally was given the labels and prepared the fixtures in the incorrect finish for return. I returned these fixtures via UPS with tracking.

Two weeks after the fixtures were returned to Lightology, I still had yet to receive a refund for my orig. $2000+ purchase. I, again, called and no return phone call. I emailed. A couple of days later, I received an email indicating the return could not be processed because the vendor would no longer authorize a return. Lightology is in possession of the $2000+ worth of paid product and refuses a refund.

This company is beyond unprofessional, peddling additional sales and promises of exchange and/or refund, only to leave you high and dry, and out an additional $2k. I will never order from Lightology again, and highly encourage any future customers to steer clear of this deceitful company. The absolute worst level of service I have ever encountered.

Never buy from this company. They have the worst customer service, do not respond, are not honest and simply want to take your money and not deliver the product. They are full of excuses and should be avoided at all costs. A "deal" is just a huge headache when dealing with these dishonest people.

Do not use. Terrible customer service. No updates on shipments with problems. Will not let you know in advance if your item is in back order. Waiting for almost a month for my lights. Reps will promise to give me updates on my order issues and I never received a courtesy call.

Worse customer service ever. They give wrong information about availability of the product. Then they try to misinform you and make it some how the client's fault and they do all that in an Unapologetic and rude way. They talk over you. Michelle the customer rep. needs to get some proper customer service training. I will never buy from them!!!!!!

Visited the store took 20 min for someone to speak with me and then when I inquired about placing an order they acted like they did not want my money! The service here is HORRIBLE and I simply cannot patronize a store that I have to beg to spend my money at.

Looking at past reviews I wonder if they will ever invest in staff training and customer service skills.

I emailed back and was told 3-5 business days for a credit. I m sorry a credit transaction shouldn t take that long!

I am a commercial contractor, I buy material for a living, this was quite possibly the worst customer service experience of my life. Ordered 3 pendant fixtures that supposedly had a 3 day lead. Ordered in mid April, followed up with very spotty response for several weeks - weeks turned into months! Just got the lights 1st of August (3 or 4 months). I got a tracking number from customer service 3 days "after" the lights had already arrived at my location. Pa-freaking-thetic!!

Ordered purple glass filters for my track lights for a Halloween party this weekend. I was sent CLEAR filters. I've been trying to reach somebody all day. I spoke with customer service, and was sent to the sales representative's voicemail - she never called me back. I sent an e-mail to customer service - still no response. I called customer service again and was transferred to the "customer service manager" who I also had to leave a voicemail with.

Pretty ridiculous that I can't get a single response. Either refund me my money, or send a replacement shipment. Not that difficult.

Great selection of merchandise and fairly knowledgeable staff. Although they did send me on a wild goose chase once for parts at their warehouse location a few miles away. I got there and the pieces were out of stock. Prices are average.

This place is extremely unprofessional. They have re-scheduled on us multiple times and have had us waiting for several weeks. The reason they cancelled this time is because Jackie would like to be home and can t stick to the original 4pm cst appointment but she can accommodate us at 3pm because someone cancelled. This place is a total joke! If you can t run a business you shouldn t be open Jackie. Save your time and go to other lighting places in River North - there s plenty with excellent customer service.

Terrible customer service. Took me a month of contacting them to find out my item is discontinued. Refused to let me return my half of the set I ordered without paying shipping and restocking fees despite their ineptitude of having a discontinued item up for purchase.

I placed an order with this company 3 1/2 weeks ago and I still have not received the order. The customer service is horrible and they never seem to know what is going on. They are quick to take your money and lack integrity. I do not recommend this company and will not use them ever again. They are the worst.

I hate having to write this review but hopefully I can save at least 1 person from having the same bad experience. This is similar to all the other bad reviews about Lightology. I wish I would have read them before ordering. Long story short, placed my order 5 weeks ago with a follow up email to confirm order and ship time... nobody ever responded nor continued to after several emails sent and numerous phone calls. Finally after the 5th week someone actually answered the customer service line and gave me a whole line about it being shipped from over seas and stuck in customs blah blah blah, not their problem or fault so I just asked for a refund. Deidre said she would go ahead and process the refund and three days later surprise surprise no refund had been processed but my credit card was sure charged. Spoke to peter today and he said deidre had not processed it, but he would go ahead and do it.... I guess we will see...
Why can t anyone do their job nowadays????!!!!!

I agree with the others about the customer service. I ordered two lamps for $1800 and, per the website's instructions, two 3-way light bulbs for $4. The bulbs came within days and the company charged me the full $1804. I notified the company that I shouldn't be charged $1804 for two light bulbs. The agent said he would call me back. No call back. I got online and sent an email. No response. I chatted and was told I would be called. No call. I waited for those lamps for a month. They finally arrived with the dim-able bulbs that they needed, being dimming lamps and NOT 3-WAYS. I am now in the process of returning these damn bulbs that I didn't need in the first place. Waiting for (wait for it) a call back from the company.

I am an internet customer. I found what I was seeking on the Lightology web site and ordered it by phone AFTER 4:30PM Chicago time - 2 1/2 hours after their shipping cut off. I asked for standard overnight shipping and got it the next day. I subsequently had a problem with the lights (which was my fault) and was helped, first on Saturday and then again on Monday. I can't remember when I had such great customer service and attentiveness from a web base business. I am POSITIVELY impressed!

Generally pleased with my experience. Bought 3 structures in total and received 2 in stock items incredibly fast, and was very pleased with the quality. The problem came in ordering my chandelier, despite paying for it in full upfront, and receiving a receipt with an order number-the order was lost in their system. In the beginning the assistant assigned to me said he would follow up the next day; however, there was a delayed and perceived lack of response, which lead me to call customer service. Customer service ultimately helped me out and it appears the item has shipped. My advice to future customers is to just stay on top of your orders. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star review.

Terrible customer service with an attitude. Their showroom is stunning, you ll notice the good reviews come from tour guides - not customers. But when it comes to returning phone calls or emails, following up on orders, being nice to a customer...forget it. Even at the top. After 43 email exchanges and a frustrating experience with my sales rep Paige, I asked to speak to the showroom manager. Big mistake. I think his name was Chris, but I wouldn t really I know, because he showed me off the phone so fast without even an I m sorry. Spend your money elsewhere. This store doesn t deserve your business.

I should have read these reviews prior to ordering. Great price but that s where it ends. Product came damaged and defective. Lightology has no urgency or care to remedy the situation. Had to get my credit card company involved to get an sort of resolution. Buy elsewhere - the customer service is horrible.

Amazing showroom with very nice selection of high quality lights. The on site staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Be careful with the recommended installer though. Shop around. The installer they sent on an in home consultation tried to hurry the process. His quote was at least four times the cost of what it should be. Lighting installation is not a complicated process and most run of the mill electricians and handymen can handle the installation of the fixtures they carry. Their products are so well made and designed that its really hard to mess them up. Trust their on site staff to select the products that are right for you. They will take the time to listen to what you want. Don't trust any installer that is pushy and tries to rush your decision. When it comes to the details of the installation, work with the installer on selecting the heights any hanging fixtures. There is no science to this, and what is best for you depends on your height and personal preference, especially for pendant lighting over your bar.

They take forever to handle returns took 4 days just to get a response on how to handle a return. After that they will charge you a restocking fee from what they told me. I paid to ship it back on my dime. I would suggest somewhere with better customer service Lumens, ylighting etc

Read the reviews, I have to disagree on customer service..it did take a few days but I had a light that came damaged, and they took care of it pretty quickly.. Received a new one in perfect condition....... I think they have great products, and I'd say pretty good customer service! At least from my experience... 5 stars

Simply the best experience I've ever had while shopping for lighting fixtures. Great staff, great location, great pricing. These guys are the masters of lighting and insanely helpful with everything i need. There is simply no other company i would trust my lighting with other than lightology!

Buyer beware with this company. We ordered a bunch of fixtures from them for a renovation of our home. One fixture sent to us was used. The item came in a box that was previously opened and had part of the original purchasers shipping label on it. After discussing this with the company, thy stated that unless the item is damaged, that they cannot process an exchange. Full price and no returns for open box items that have been manhandled by others? This is a first. Typically when someone buys an open box electronic device, they are made aware.

A wonderful building. Wonderful associates. Wonderful fixtures. You walk into the building and are greeted by the helpful staff who guide you through the process of finding the perfect fixture for you. The options are endless and layout of the building naturally guides you from light to light in awe of what people have created. Plus the website is so easy to use and the shipping times are impeccable. Lightology is my go-to store for lighting and always will be.

This company is completely dishonest and will mislead you. I have never in my life experienced such unethical customer service. I ordered my products almost one month ago and still have not received them. They took my money immediately, promised delivery in a few days, and one month later I am still being misled and given the same false promises about new delivery dates. I am going to dispute the credit card charge, would never recommend this company to any one let alone my worst enemy, and will never purchase from them again! Save yourself the aggravation and shop elsewhere!

I ordered a light from this horrible company two months ago. I still haven't received my light and they have been less than helpful trying to identify where it is with UPS. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere as they haven't offered a replacement at all and it appears I am out 300$.

Terrible customers service! Recessed wall lighting was ordered, and an estimated ship date was given. I tried contacting multiple people via email and phone, and received no responses. When I finally received a response, they had stated that the everything was ready besides the tape light. I told them to send the track, and drivers, we could install the tape later. Then received no communication for weeks. Then the products arrived at our project, but we were short a few lengths of the tape light. Of course, I couldn't get through to anyone to fix this issue.

Still waiting, for at least a response.

Do not do business with this organization! They did not even respond to an email detailing color temperature differences of the Chinese bulbs that they sent me. Now the bulb has failed with less than 100 hours of usage. Find a reputable lighting supplier.

Poor service. Firstly they gave us an appointment a week later, great, made us feel special and that some one was going to give us an customized experience. The salesperson had no clue the product we wanted was physically in the store until we saw it. Then we ordered and paid approx ~900$ worth and we're told we will get it in 2-3 weeks. After 2-3 weeks we had to call the store and we're told it won't be shipped till october i.e. 2 months later. Very bad customer service and zero responsibility for emailing the customer or a courtesy email that your order is delayed.

Beautiful store with lots of variety in fixtures. I love what I ended up with and it was less expensive than I originally thought it would be. Communication was not great in the actual shipping - I contacted them when I hadn't heard of it being available for pickup after it was expected, they told me it would take about a week longer and that I would be called when it came in. I didn't get the call a second time and when I emailed them they said they had left a message (they hadn't - and I checked, they had my correct phone number - that's a pet peeve of mine). Installation was tricky, and I had to bring part of it into the store, but my rep there was very helpful in figuring it out. So not the smoothest overall but I'd definitely go there again.

I purchased a light fixture from Lightology...Hudson Valley Lighting Model 6104 and it did not come with bulbs and was supposed to. I now have a light fixture installed that I can't use because no one in Denver carries these bulbs.....in the whole city of Denver! Are you serious! I would advise anyone looking for light fixtures not to purchase Hudson Valley lights because you can't find bulbs...apparently all of their fixtures require proprietary bulbs. Furthermore, I would never recommend doing business with Lightology as their customer service regarding this issue was terrible. We are doing a huge remodel and when we installed this fixture and found out how difficult it was to get bulbs I wanted to return the fixture. They denied the return because the fixture had been installed. This product according to manufacturer was supposed to be shipped with these impossible to find bulbs and they still would not take the item back even though it was undamaged. Ridiculous! I would look not only for another distributor but another lighting manufacturer.

I can't say enough about the customer service and care I received from Diego at Lightology. I ordered a sconce to match an existing sconce and when it arrived it did not have as much distressing and so the two sconces did not match. Diego worked with me and the manufacturer of the light for weeks, to make sure I ultimately received sconce that would go with the one I already had. Things were even more complicated by Covid shutdowns and limitations, but Lightology and Diego ensured the perfect match. Thank you!

MOST horrible customer service, ordered a light online, the light doesn t fix into the grove properly, tried reaching to customer service to alert them about the issue but no one answers the phone. Tried contacting someone online, but again no answers and they close the chat! Learnt our lesson - never buy from lightology!

Sometimes you read those reviews in all caps and you think, whoa, chill out. But today I get it! I ll try to get through this without going caps crazy but....

I went to the Lightology store a few weeks ago to see about getting some new pendants for our kitchen track lighting. Alyssa assisted me. I explained our needs and she made some recommendations for which pendants would work. I picked one and ordered 10.
They arrived and the first thing we noticed was only 8 of them worked. Ok NBD.
But then we quickly noticed that they were totally wrong for the space. Clearly they were outdoor spotlights and not meant for indoors. The lights were BLINDING. We had to turn them to face directly at the cabinets which made the entire kitchen literally dark, except for the stage lighting on our cabinet doors. It was comical at best.

Ok still NBD. Yes frustrating but this is all part of the process. We d just return them and order some different lights. We d find the right ones eventually.
Over the course of the next few days, the box that the lights came in got tossed out. Miscommunication.

So when I go to return the lights I notice there s no easy way on the website. It says I need to get a number but doesn t say how. So I email Alyssa to see if she can get it for me. I mention that the original box is gone.

She responds that without the box, the items are UNSELLABLE (here come the caps) and CANNOT BE RETURNED.

Wait - it gets better. Apparently even if I HAD the box, I would have only gotten 50% back.

So now I m out $330.

Three hundred and thirty dollars.

When Alyssa told me this, she made zero apologies. I m out hundreds of dollars and she doesn t even care. I m sure she doesn t since she got her commission off these purchases.

Alyssa obviously made no mention of this when she was helping me choose lights. And she even suggested that I order several different lights and try them out, knowing full well I d only get 50%.

So. Lightology stole $330 from me and there s nothing I can do about it except warn other folks. Don t support this business.

This is so much more than a lighting store. It's like walking into a whole new selection of ideas and designs you never even realized existed before. Such a great way to learn about what is possible with light, and the impact it can make in a space, just like Lightology itself! A bit overwhelming at first, but let it wash over you. Simply amazing. Prices seem high but talk to the people there, they know their stuff and can help you find something that fits your budget.

I have been slowly updating fixtures to new ones ll all purchases I made are from Lightology. The story is very inspirational and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Ones I had question about installation and they were happy to give me both printed instructions if I end up installing it myself and also telephone number of local installer that could help. Light journey continues...

I would caution against any open box sales. They clearly do not check the returns to make sure that they are in good shape and that all the pieces have been included.

Two stars because customer service did rectify one issue (a piece of the lamp that had a defect) but never responded when I reached out again after discovering upon installing the lamp that part of the shade was missing. I had no idea when I first opened the box that there was a critical piece missing because there was no installation instructions / packing list.

Although we saved money by buying the lamp as an open box purchase, the headache hasn't been worth it. It has been months since we ordered the lamp, and we're still trying to finish the installation (after being unable to get help from Lightogy I've been trying to buy the missing shade piece directly from the manufacturer).

Most unhelpful staff. Two of the lights purchased from them stopped working because iof a faulty lamp socket. They refused to order the part for me despite repeated requests. They said that for them to order the part for me, they need to see the original receipt or purchase order. I explained that I bough the home from someone else and I do not have the original receipt. I asked them to confirm that they still sell the same light fixture. They do. It was displayed in their showroom. They keep asking me - do I know the manufacturer, do I know the product model number, do I know the part number? I had the light fixture in my hands. They would not even look at it. Finally one of their staff took the fixture upstairs and came back with a telephone number which he said was the manufacturer' phone number and I should call the manufacturer directly to get the help. I called the manufacturer and explained the problem to them and they told me the part number and explained that I should order the part through one of their distributors since they don't sell directly to the consumer. I asked them for distributors' name and contact and if hthey first name they mentioned was Lightology. I told them I would never do any business with them as they have no sense or customer service. Then they told me to order it through another chicago distributor named Lumina Galleries on Franklin Street. I ordered it through Lumina even though the light was purchased from Lightology.

They are overpriced and arrogant. I would not recommend them even to an enemy. The manufacturer apologized to me for the inconvenience and said that I should never have had to experience this. They should have helped me to order the part while I was their store. Oh well...
