Had to drop 3 stars due to second paragraph...

I found my 2016 Rav4 online. Tanesha greeted us, found the vehicle, and quickly had us on the test drive. Upon our return, they already had my trade appraised. She reviewed the numbers in a factual manner and at no point did I feel pressured. I was given the appropriate amount of attention without feeling badgered. I left to visit another dealership and returned to finish my purchase. Tanesha was waiting on another customer who called ahead but was able to finish our transaction while ensuring the other customer was attended to as well. I was dreading the whole car buying process, but Tanesha made it quick easy and painless.

Had to drop 3 stars... It took right at 4 weeks from signing the papers to get my old loan paid off on the car they purchased which was the longest of any car deal I've ever made. This caused the first late fee on my previous loan... (In their defense, Germain DID pay the late fee.) Partially my fault for not keeping better tabs on my old loan and presumptuous to assume that this would be paid in a timely manner although I was told it should be completed in 14 days or less. If you need to make contact with their finance department prepare to get voicemail which was either ignored or just never checked. After leaving multiple messages that yielded no response, I eventually went online and used the chat option to explain my situation. The following day, I finally got a return call. Timely communication on any loan difficulties would have been most appreciated without me having to repeatedly attempt to track someone down to get an update.. A disappointing end to an otherwise favorable experience. (Still love the Rav4.)

Called them up twice, they transferred directly a salesman. oh yeah.... he said you would call us back. I've been over 3 months now. I will never buy from this location again.

Germain took my son to the cleaners. He went to "look" at cars. Was sold a used car for $18,000. (ticket price - no negotiating). He had inherited money from an uncle and had money to pay cash. He was talked into a loan because he was told he needed to get a credit history. It took 4 weeks to get the payment booklet. He had been told his payment would be about $300 per month. The payments are $409. He called us and was confused, so we asked to see the paperwork from the sale. He was sold an extended warranty, pre-paid maintenance plan, roadside assistance plan, loan insurance ($995 for this, when the finance guy knew he had cash to pay for the car) - $5,000 total in add ons to the price of the car. He said the finance guy told him about those things but made it sound like they were necessary. The official loan info came conveniently a week after the 21-day return deadline. Granted, my son should have read everything more carefully. But he is obviously naive and had never bought a car before. He's learned a really tough lesson. But pretty unscrupulous treatment. I am appalled and disgusted.

Lucy helped us to find the best car for our needs. There was an issue with the wheels on the car. Lucy and the used car team, and the service department worked with us to solve the issue. We are very pleased with how we were treated and the service we received.

I had such high hopes for my service appointment. I have always gone to Toyota West (which germain owns) so I was excited to try germain. I was let down, work preformed on my car was done well but every encounter with a person was absolutely awful. I wanted a rental car due to needing to run some errands and the cashier said you really can t find the time to wait the hour? Good thing I didn t wait because it took longer than a hour. The service advisor I worked with was also rude, tried to sell service that isn t due yet on my car (according to Toyota) they were trying hard to get my $50 oil change to almost $400! I usually don t complain but I was so excited to get my car out of the dealership. I felt pressured and went to pick up my car a hour early to get my car back. I will continue going to Toyota west after this experience and I recommend you do to!

I was very unhappy with the rental service and the car. I have to take the car back because of bad odor. The car was small for some who is older the vehicle was more for an 18 years old. It was very low to the ground.What ever happen to Customer service. I was told not to smoke or have pets in the car and bring it back clean ok i am not unclean person. I do not smoke or have pets. The car front seats had stains and the smell once again the smell. I think Toyota should not be in the rental business. The service dept were i drop off my car was nice. I am just unhappy with the rental service.

Disgusted with the quality of customer service by the parts department at Germain Toyota. I run a small independent shop. I called on 1/15/19 to get a quote for an EGR valve and cooler. Once I sold the parts to my client, I called back to order them(same day 1/15). I called back on Friday(1/18) to see where the parts were. I was told they were ordered on 1/17, and wouldn't be delivered to me until 1/21. I updated my client and luckily she had a ride over the weekend. 1/21 is here now. The part was delivered at 1:30pm. Only the cooler, showed up. No EGR valve, no gaskets. I call in and was told the gaskets were in stock, but the EGR valve would need to be ordered, but it was an additional $300. I explained that I was already quoted for all the parts, so I shouldn't have to pay for the additional parts that weren't quoted or ordered. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told "sure, but he'll say the same thing I told you". I began to explain my issue to the Manager, and he made sure to interrupt me to say that I didn't call in the day I have in my notes, but I called in two days later and that was why the parts were late. His response to the fact that I was quoted for an EGR valve and Cooler, but only sent a cooler, was the fact that everyone makes mistakes. I explained to him that I completely understood that, but I just wanted it made right. He didn't agree. I was told I would need to pay for the parts I was originally quoted for, but did not receive. It's disappointing that employees are trained to only focus on the bottom line, rather than creating customers for life.

Went in to look at a different vehicle that had sold the night before. Met sales rep Joshua Jones. Great guy who got a great deal on a 2008 Toyota Tundra! Easiest time I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. Demetrius in the finance dwpadepart was a class act and no hassle. I highly recommend you contact Josh if want a no pressure experience on a vehicle. I will be back soon!!!

Applied for financing for a used truck online. I then received a call and set up an appointment with Ben Tubbs to look at the truck that weekend after I was approved. Ben emailed me the day of, wanting to confirm I was still coming. I was, and I drove all the way across town to look at the truck, only to find out it was sold the day before!!! Not even a courtesy call from Ben Tubbs to let me know, and he still let me come to the dealership under false pretenses. So I drove 45 minutes one way to find out from someone else the truck was sold, so I just drove back home another 45 minutes and didn't even see Ben Tubbs. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS Ben Tubbs!
Edit: Veronica reached out to me and connect me with Tyler and Kelvin who both completely turned my experience around! Tyler walked me through the process and answered all of my questions, and Kelvin was there to finish the deal smoothly. I couldn't be happier in my Tacoma, and would return because of them.

I bought a 2007 Toyota Camry from here recently. I was told all my breaks were new, a week before I even made my first payment my back breaks and rotors needed changed, cost me 400$. 2 weeks later my alternator went out and I needed a new battery that cost me 600$. Not to mention when they detailed my car they had to do it twice because they had left a ring pop melted to the back seat luckly i caught that before we left. So my thought is if they can't pay attention to detailing then maybe they didn't do a great inspection cause the certainly didn't change all my breaks, or check the alternator. I went to German because of all the good reviews I saw. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I called to complain and see if there was anything they could do about it, left a message with my number and they never returned my call.

Went to have bumper replaced on Monday. The work was finished and ready for pickup by Thursday morning. The customer service was wonderful and the work was great. I recommend their services 100 percent. I'm glad that I chose them to fix my vehicle.

Got lied too and basically robbed of $500 to fix an oil leak. Truck is still leaking oil but they want more money now and won t guarantee oil will stop leaking after the new repair. Service manager has never contacted me after I waited in the lobby for as long as I could and leaving a message to call me.***update 2/4/20 situation has been resolved. It took a little while but was able to speak to service manager in person and we were able to come to a fair agreement.***

In January, I stopped one night to look for a new car. I was greeted at the door by Tom Lombardo. While I hadn't planned to buy a Prius, it was the car he said he'd put his mom in :) I've had my Prius for 8 weeks and 4600 miles! It is a comfortable ride on my daily commute (110 miles round trip). What a great choice I made when I stopped at Germain and met Tom!

12-12-17 drove 50+ miles for my ToyotaCare appointment rather than 3 miles down the road! Love the Germain family. Austin was awesome in getting me in and out quickly for my appointment. I recommend this dealership to everyone!

Worst experience in Pre-owned car dealership
We had been on a lookout for a Toyota Camry Hybrid and unfortunately visited this dealership. We reached towards 7 PM on a week day while the dealership closes @ 8 PM. There were at max 2-3 salesmen and a manager. Salespeople seemed too busy to show car. When we got hold of one of them he nonchalantly declared he was too busy to show cars and we should help ourselves. We found the 2016 Camry Hybrid with signs of dent repair, scratches, touch up and almost empty fuel tank (7 Miles left as per dashboard). Caught up with the manager who nonchalantly mentioned "7 mile left? How long would you drive anyway?". After mentioning the dent/scratches he retorted back "It is used, if you want a better car go next door (new car dealership)". The entire attitude was like "why the hell you are here? customers are not welcome." Anyway, the manager did try to refill oil, however, it was taking such an inordinate amount of time we left saying thanks.

We ve have dealt with 3 different Toyota dealerships including this one and I must say the experience here was the least positive. There was an initial action by the receptionist when I first arrived that I didn t like but I chose to overlook it. Also, I m use to them going over the services provided after the completion of the job and it was negative at this location. He just dropped off the paper with the cashier and loudly told me what he had done as I passed him. The cashier was also the least friendliest with no interaction whatsoever. Other cars received a complimentary car wash (which we ve gotten with the other dealerships) and that was not the case here. Customer service is important in many field of work and I feel that they were lacking. I wouldn t mind driving 30 minutes to a Toyota dealership next time for my service. I will definitely not be returning there.

The warning light in my Prius came on so I made an appointment at the service department (which I had been going to ever since I purchased my car) to get it inspected. When they were finished a man came out and handed me a list of $3000.00 of work that needed to be done to it (including new tires, which was odd because mine weren't even a year old yet). Not only was this going to cost me a chunk of change but they charged me 150.00 just to inspect it!!
When they sent me an e-mail asking about my recent experience I complained about paying 150.00 dollars for a list of 3000.00 of work to be done. The man e-mailed me back and said that they would credit the 150.00 to what I owed when I brought my car back in to get those repairs done.

Well, I never brought my car back, and I never will. Instead I got those same repairs done at a different mechanic for 1400.00 and it runs like a feather blowing in the wind.
These people rip you off. I'm disappointed that I had to waste 150.00 to learn that.

I would like to share my experience which I just received from Germain to the future customers. Germain has always been reliable and holds a high standard in the work they've provided for my vehicles. Although this past experience has forced me to take my vehicle elsewhere now.

I brought my car in for an airbag recall which turned out to be a horrible experience not just with the work but with the customer interaction as well.

I have attached a picture of their first job. When I first found out about the issue, I informed the service advisor and their first response was do not raise my voice. At that moment, I felt uncomfortable because like I was being attack by the service advisor for being unreasonable or something. After the manager saw and understood the problem, he was willing to work with me to clean up their messy job as well working with me to bring my car back later on next week. He informed that they will fix any issues to my satisfaction plus a car wash. I felt taking care of.

I took my car back to Germain for 2nd time and still did not fully fix everything to back to it's original placement. Wires were still showing, parts were still broken, and car was not wash. Again, I went to speak with another service advisor and his response was for me to "lower my voice". I honestly felt they did not value my business as I was just communicating with them the issues. He told me that they will not work on the issue again as they believe the issue has been fixed. So, at the end, they did not fix the issue to my satisfaction.

If it was such a difficult "job" Germain should not have took my business to change the airbag as I was checking in If they knew I have non factory parts on the dashboard. But they did and as a result I have to take my car to another shop because I was told that they're not willing to work on it again.

I understand that I did not have to paid for this service since recalls are billed to the manufacturer, but it does not mean I do not deserve a quality service compared to paid customer. Oh by the way, I have attached another picture that Germain did not inform nor apologize to me that my keychain was broken during their possession. How am I going to get another custom keychain that can only be purchased overseas.

Please use my review as a reference and hopefully this was only a anomaly. However, Germain Toyota has lost my business.

Three years later I still give two stars. I love my car and it drives great but I have consistently received terrible service. Kenny who sold me my car tried to put my old tags on my new car instead of giving me 45 day tags. Also I went to get an old change and my hood wasn t closed all the way when I got on the freeway. I had to pull over and close my hood. The most recently I was owed a refund due to a dealership error and the service manager Billy wouldn t take my calls he would only respond by text message. He would read my messages and then respond hours later. Once my check was ready I never received a phone call & the check wasn t at the location he said it would be. I ve had terrible customer service and I ll never buy another car from Germain.

Quick in and out. I have been to other service centers that have taken hours longer than expected. I found them to be spot on with the timeliness of the repair and the cost. They were friendly and polite.

I walked on the sales floor and wasn't harassed by every salesman.

She contacted me through Facebook selling wall saying her and her team were interested in buying my car. I told her I am not selling it at trade in value, she responded they want to buy it outright. I drive from Polaris to Brice rd for them to offer me trade in value...and told me I m better off selling it myself. Well no kidding, I do believe that s what I was doing before she contacted me making empty promises. Typical shady car dealership tactics!!!

Going elsewhere for dealership maintenance if representative cannot call back help with issue. Been 2 weeks & cannot get thru to schedule work. Can someone pick up the good service mantra & help?

So I bought my 2010 4Runner Limited a year and a half ago. It only had roughly 58,000 on it and was a only a one owner vehicle before I bought it. And it only has 82,000 miles to date. I also baby my vehicles. I have never gone off roading or drive it erratically.
I was able to get the Friends and family discount warranty Gold package for an extra $2500 for the next 5 years or 60,000 miles. It all sounds great on paper! And then the 4Runner started acting up randomly loosing power for the last two months. I thought most likely it was the battery so I had it checked at Auto Zone. They told me battery was excellent but the alternator was bad. So then I took it straight to Germain Toyota where I bought it from. They told me it would probably be 1-1/2 hours to look at it as I waited. As that time passed the service employee said they can t find anything wrong with it and that it would probably be another 3 hours or even over night to track down the problem. This was around 2pm. I left to go home figuring I would get a call on some sort of update but that never happened. It was only after waiting 48 hours that I called to get an update and was told nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I guess it s a good thing I called because I m sure if I never would have called, who knows when I would have been able to pick it up! Their lack of communication is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously the customer is not the priority here. And as for the warranty I feel like I m going to get screwed. How many more times will I have to bring in the 4Runner to get it fixed? I m guessing when the warranty runs out so they can charge me for something they should have already been able to do!

Best service EVER!!! You won't be disappointed buying a car from Germain. Ask for Kendray. He went above and beyond. He even got coloring books for my kids to keep them entertained. Not to mention he even put the car seats and everything in our new van while we were doing the paperwork. You just don't see kindness like that anymore.

I have only interacted with the service department...

I have only interacted with the service department here. The quality of their work is good, and I trust them with my vehicle, but be careful about them doing additional services without proper explanation. Last year I had them replace two bulbs while there for other services, thinking that the price they quoted when asking for approval was for the entire job. Instead, it was the price per bulb. They were apologetic when I complained, but that was it. The staff are nice and the work is good, but if you have a tight budget than I would be careful going here.

Edited to update: I had commented on being charged for an air filter I didn't approve before, and just received a call from their office looking to go over the receipt. The price charged was correct for an oil change, it was just higher than last time I visited and the service fee breakdown was unclear to me. She wasn't seeing the REPLACED AIR FILTER message that I was, but assured me it wasn't completed and she would look into why it's on my copy, might have been a computers error or something that they didn't catch because the charge was accurate. Good follow up and customer service, so I'm increasing my rating.

Service was outstanding! Took my car in for brake issue. I worked with Tracy Goleman (Care/Shop Production Supervisor). Tracy treated me like a king. Far and away the best service I have ever received, anywhere. I found Tracy to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and focused on my satisfaction. Above everything else she cared about me as a customer and fixing my car right. In this fast-paced world we live in Its very hard today that combination of attributes in someone. Tracy makes the Germain Toyota dealership and the Toyota Motor Co. shine bright. I believe the Mike is the person who actually worked on my car. He's a master mechanic and did a fantastic job replacing my brake master cylinder assembly. If you would pass my appreciation on to Tracy and Mike I would appreciate that. Thank you Tracy and Mike! Because of you, I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience at your service department. You totally exceeded my expectations! Best wishes to you in the future!

She showed us the interiors of the car and gave us options of colors and patiently waited for us to make a decision that would best fit our finance. I recommend for anyone going to this location to meet with Amanda and receive her great help. We'll be gladly back in a couple of years.

Tom and Heather with the finance team were great as well but Jeremy is a breath of fresh air when car shopping!

I had a terrible experience a few years ago with their self proclaimed top salesman (still with Germain so beware) but decided to give them another try after speaking with Jeremy. If you are interested in working with an honest (yes, they do exist) and hard working car salesman, do yourself a favor and find Jeremy.

I am 100% all in on Toyota vehicles but would buy even a Ford if Jeremy happened to work on one of their car lots. I cannot say enough about this guy. I honestly never thought I would even consider trusting a car salesman again.

Thanks for helping me out with my new truck Jeremy!

We have had first rate experiences at Germain Toyota (my car) and Germain Honda (husband's car). We had already done a lot of research on new cars before we went into the dealerships, so had a good idea about prices; we both were satisfied with our final purchase price, felt we were treated in a fair and upfront way by the sales people. I just had my car serviced for the first time yesterday, at Germain Toyota. The service dept was prompt, professional, courteous. The dealership has a pleasant, large waiting area with wi fi, comfortable stuffed chairs for watching tv as well as tables/chairs where I could do some work while waiting.

Oddly enough, I love going here for service. I have two kids 5 and under and this is the only place that seems to be super kid friendly. There is a room (surrounded by windows) where kids can play and watch television while moms and dads wait. If you need to step out to speak with someone, you can still keep an eye on your children with no problem. Even my kids love going here!!

So I came back 2 days later and again I waited 25 min before anyone showed up with my part at the counter. If it took that long to just pick up a part, how long would a simple oil change or minor service to my car would take?!

We gave this dealership an excellent rating due to the excellent service that was provided. We found out about the dealership while searching for a highlander on kelly blue book. We called down and spoke with Jo Jo about the 2007, however upon arrival we found a 2008 that fit our needs. Jo Jo was very helpful in not only answering any questions we had, but also in making sure we came out with a price we could afford. We want to thank Jo Jo and also Tony for making our visit to Columbus well worth while.

Wonderful experience! No high pressure sales pitch, Veronica was very helpful and made me feel at ease during what can sometimes be a trying experience. One thing that impressed me about Veronica was that she did not pretend to be a know-it-all. One specific issue we couldn't quite figure out and instead of making up some answer (as so many other sales people did during my car buying experience) she took the time to ask until we found the correct answer. Very impressive!!

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership from a nice salesman by the name of Kaleb Murray purchased this vehicle last Friday 7/10/2020. The sales staff were very accommodating. and this is where the good stops I have yet to accept delivery of said vehicle due to some things the dealership was supposed to repair namely the side view mirror, the tires needed replaced and the car needed to be certified so in addition to those fixes it also needed some body work to repair a couple of dents and a few scratches on the body of the vehicle. the sales representative that I spoke with on the day of purchase stated that the vehicle would be ready by Monday 7/13/2020 which was fine with me as I wanted the repairs to be correctly finished. However after giving them a week I called this morning to find out what the deal was about the vehicle and when it would be finished the salesman told me it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow 7/18/2020 I have been paying insurance on a vehicle I don't have. The 45 day tag has been issued the day I signed the paperwork. In addition the 45 day deferral on the first payment is also ticking. If this car is not ready by tomorrow morning I will be searching elsewhere for a vehicle there are plenty of Toyota dealerships in the area in which I can purchase a vehicle. If someone tells me something will be done by a certain day and time I plan for that if they would have told me up front it would be a week that would have been different.
I will update the review based on future experience with this dealership
UPDATE:
the vehicle was delayed due to some unfortunate and unforseen circumstances however I was able to accept delivery of this vehicle on 7/18/20 and it is a beautiful car. However the detail on the inside of the vehicle had some room for improvement after thoroughly cleaning the vehicle and windows still evidence of the previous owners being smokers the surfaces of the car had remnants of yellow staining however overall not a horrible experience.

In-house service is great. However - getting to someone in the service department to MAKE an appointment is a very trying experience. I called and was told the person wasn't available and would call me back. After 10 minutes I called again - person still busy. I was told they were the ONLY person available to make an appt for me at this time (Friday 11/10 at 5:15 pm). She did call me back, I got the appt I wanted but was also told it could take up to an hour and a half for routine tire rotation and oil change when it hasn't before. An hour and a half is excessive I think with the size of this service dept. Not very happy right now!!

Very negative experience for our first time at Germain. Sales rep was not professional and new car sales manager was very rude. We went in with intentions of leaving with a new car same day, but walked out. Will not be returning.

I came in a last month for my very first new car and talked to Jared Merriman. He gave me excellent customer service from trying to match with my budget to try to get me the exact make and color I wanted. He tried so hard to get me the 2020 Red Toyota Yaris which was the only one in Ohio. Thank you so much Jared, will definitely refer friends and family in the future!

I don't hate Germain Toyota.
I had my 2009 Toyota Corolla there for repair, but Germain Toyota dealership service had failed to repair my car, and my daughter is complaining why I bought a Toyota Corolla for her.
My family had lost money because this 2009 Toyota Corolla had been difficult to fix even by Germain Toyota dealership.
I will go there tomorrow morning to get updated information.

Purchased my 2015 here in 2014. I like the car. Overcharged but that was due to my own inexperience with car buying. Don't pay for anything extra except maybe gap insurance if you want that piece of mind b/c you probably won't remember to take advantage of anything else without setting a lot of reminders. Unfortunately almost a year into having the car I ran into an employee from the service center who noticed the recent oil change sticker on my car from another company and asked why I paid for that since they provided free oil changes for sometime after every purchase but no one had told me about that service and the 2 times I called to inquire I couldn't get anyone to return my call. Then I had to rent a vehicle for one hour to keep an appt while my car had a recalled cvt check and actually had to sign something stating I wouldn't smoke in the car when it was so smoked out and toxic in there that I had to drive to my appt and back with the widows down on a cold day...with asthma.

I bought my new Toyota here. I really liked these sales service that I received. They got me a great deal. I also received a great reliable car. I am very happy with my car and the deal I received. My only complaint, is there mechanic service. They have a lot of sales people there, but they need more mechanics. I came in at 630 to get a replacement key, and it turns out that they couldn't even give me a replacement key. I have to make an appointment on Saturday to get a replacement key. The key has a chip in it for security. I should not have to wait to make an appointment it should just be a walk in. so, I am very unhappy with the mechanic service that I received, and there's only one person there that knew how to do it.I'm not sure if it's this dealerships fault, or if it is Toyota's fault for making a key so time in intensive to duplicate. And also the key cost $125 for a key copy. This is a lot of money which I am willing to pay, but they need better customer service and make it instantaneous so I do not have to wait.

I have purchased several cars from Germain and always enjoy the experience. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable . My sales person (Omar Jackson) was excellent and not a pushy sales person. I am always allowed time tor review the options and make a sound decision . The Finance Staff (Asher Puri) are very professional. They advise of the options available and let me make the decision.I have been buying cars for years and have found the people at Germain to be the best.

This is the most arrogant company I have ever had ...

This is the most arrogant company I have ever had to deal with. So far I have bought 3 cars from them. One Land Cruiser, one Lexus LX470 and recently a 2015 Lexus GX460. The car had not been cleaned when we got it so they told us to bring it back for detailing. After giving us the run around see took it in on a Friday morning. These people never bothered to call to tell us what was going on. When I called to check, one of their employees actually insulted me. A 32k plus car and that s the treatment you get from Germain Toyota and Lexus. NEVER AGAIN! I thinking of returning the car.

On top of all that, this car, a 2015 car did not have a manual, nor did it have floor mats. But I liked the car so I put up with it. The salesman who was really courteous at first told me to google the car features! This car is loaded with electronics and gadgets! I have to google how to set navigation and entertainment? This sucks. I am really sorry thinking of returning the car to sue.

So today we got the car back. At first it looked fine from outside. But inside was dirty. They did not even try. This is terrible.
