Really bad customer service. No one at service deck to get info. No staff helping you to get info. Every staff was busy on the phone, just look at you walked in and walked out. Not a trusted place to purchase a new car.

For the past few weeks I was looking for a new car...

For the past few weeks I was looking for a new car and settled on the Mazda 3 SP25 for all the features I wanted in a car, that I will make last a long time, for a price that I could manage. My sale was handled by Paul Gelsi, who was very nice and while being a salesperson was able to talk real talk to accommodate what I needed and bring the model I wanted to the price I could manage. It took a little while since what I wanted was in their storage, I'm not really one for waiting, but no doubt if I chose a model that was on their floor that it could be in and out same day. Thanks to Paul for going through all the options with me, and thanks to Tim in finance. They're not too bad of a bunch at Essendon Mazda. Still yet to see if they're worth the price in their car servicing department.

I recently purchased a new Mazda CX3 Maxx Sport. Thank you to the fantastic team at Essendon Mazda especially Peter Sololeski in Sales. From the moment I walked in the door Peter made me feel comfortable and all the anxiety I was feeling at the time was taken away.
Peter was very professional and really cared about making sure I was taken care of and everything was explained and hassle free for me.

The service I received was absolutely fantastic, I couldn t be more appreciative of the helpful advice I was given and the guidance throughout every step of the way considering it was my first time ever purchasing a car. I dealt with Brayden in the service department and he was by far the greatest. He kept me updated about my car, even when they didn't have an update he still called to let me know they hadn't diagnosed the issue yet but it was still a priority. If I could give more than 5 stars for him I would. He's a real asset to the company.

Instead of telling me the required repairs for my vehicle on the day of service, they've emailed me 1 month later with recommended service items suggested by their mechanic. Very poor. So what? Now I pay for another service? Why not just fix the items on the initial service instead of waiting a month to tell me what is wrong with the car? I don't understand this business model.

Just came back from Essendon Mazda after booking a...

Just came back from Essendon Mazda after booking a test drive on call for Mazda 6 GT. Went there in my lunch break and took my wife with me as we were looking for an upgrade from Mazda 3 sp25 GT to a bigger car as we are expecting a baby.

We were handed over to a salesman who kept interviewing us as if he was trying to know our intention, if we are genuine buyers or not and then decided by himself that we should not be test driving the car as we are not buying. I do not know how he came up with this by himself. Next up I told him that we were here for the test drive so he went into his office, made us wait for 15 minutes and came back with the registration plate so we can go for a test drive. While I did asked him number of times that the car we are looking for is Mazda 6 GT as it has a turbo engine, he took us out in Touring (he himself did not knew the difference) and on the way he realized that I was right. After wasting an hour on the dealership with no test drive I left with one thing very clear that my new car will not be from Essendon Mazda for sure.

I can't speak highly enough of the friendly and helpful customer service I received from Reece Rodrigues at Essendon Fields Mazda. Reece explained all of the models with their different features, he called me as soon as my choice of colour was available, facilitated getting my car in before Christmas, and we even turned up early and they were happy to accommodate us. The staff and manager were all very friendly and helpful.

This was my second Mazda and it was a no brainer decision because of the quality and after-service they provide. (I had previously had a Volkswagen, with very poor after service). Thank you Reece for going above and beyond, and for your exceptional customer service . I'm trying to talk my daughter into getting a Mazda now!

This stealership isn t even worth half a star!
I am so infuriated with the customer service provided by you guys. The management team seriously needs to hold meetings to educate their staff on how to treat customers who are planning to spend thousands. I bought a car from this dealership and had the best experience, up until I actually purchased the car. I had a manufacturing issue, and I wanted to understand why, but instead ur team bought out some mechanic who used all these mechanic terminology on me, and basically condescended me. ASWELL as that told me that it wasn t covered by warranty. I come in the next day, and I had the issue rectified. My third service was never recorded in my service book, given the price you pay, its actually disgusting. I called up, and the lady told to come back to get it put in without even apologising. When financing my car, the lender told me that I could pay out my loan early with no exit fee (paul) when I went to pay out, I was hit with a fee of $800, when I tried to get this escalated, the manager kept telling me she would call me back, however never did, and this happened 3 times. I ll never come back here, I ll never recommend this dealership, I m now with max kirwan & even they had so many comments about you guys! I actually regret buying my vehicle from you guys.

Like many others I ve only given 1 star, because there is no option to give less.

My husband and I walked around many dealerships at Essendon Fields today, including Mazda.
Our experience here was disgraceful. We were one of perhaps 3 or 4 parties in the sales room with a minimum of 8 sales staff and not once were we approached or offered support, help or advice.
A girl asked us on entry if she could help us, & when we said we d like to look at the CX-9 as we are after a 7-seat vehicle with boot space she scoffed and walked in the opposite direction to the display vehicle.
There was another couple looking at the CX-9 at the time, so we waited patiently until they moved on, before we approached.
We had another salesman sitting at a desk immediately adjacent to the vehicle shuffling paperwork (!) & yet another salesperson who on making eye contact smiled and continued towards his colleague where he happily engaged him in a conversation. On walking out, when my husband asked for assistance we were advised that they were short staffed (hard to believe when we were given amazing service right next door at Honda where there were about 7 parties and only 2 salespeople!).....
Staff at Essendon Mazda clearly believe cars will sell on reputation alone...
And to the person responding to these reviews, I will not be in your system as your staff are too busy fraternising with each other rather than servicing your customers!

A week ago, my younger sister went to Essendon Maz...

A week ago, my younger sister went to Essendon Mazda to have a look at a car she was interested in purchasing. As she didn't know a lot about cars she asked another sister to come along to help with a second opinion. She also thought that she would get good assistance from the mazda staff there and tell her about the specs of the car and hopefully test drive one. She wanted the cx5 sport but was hoping it came in manual transmission.

She was attended to by a female staff, which she couldn't answer her questions, so she went to get someone else who would be able to assist. When the female staff came back with, "Greg" supposedly the staff who had a lot more knowledge, she introduced my sister to him, but she said after the introduction he seemed hesitant to shake hands with her. He stood there long enough for her to notice, before he decided too.
Anyway he was not helpful at all, saying there was one cc5 maxx, but did not stock one to show her. He however walked away not saying anything to her, but she assumed he wanted her to follow so she did. He got to a desk, she sat down asking more questions. He did answer the questions and said that they may have one on the market but wasn't too sure. Knowing what she wanted she went through the brochure with him telling him to clarify certain specs, she just wanted to know a bit more before she made the decision to purchase it.
So instead of helping her go through the different specs of the cx5 model, he asked her when she wanted to buy it. She said probably within the week, she just wanted to see the difference in the models before she chooses which one. So instead of giving good customer service of saying, 'Definitely take your time to research, because $36,000+ is a lot of money to purchase a car for,' instead he rudely said, 'well when you are ready to make the purchase we can go through the features.'
My sisters felt he was only willing to help if she was going to buy one then and there with him, he seemed like he couldn't be bothered answering, if he wasn't going to make commision from her, so they left.
When I was told this, it left a sour taste in my mouth. So Greg! because of the way you were and you conducted yourself. She took my advice and went to a different Mazda dealer. She took her hard earnt cash, and went and got the best deal with Mazda Werribee. Can not boost enough about how amazing Anthony at Mazda Werribee was. My husband knows his cars, so we took her on Saturday 8th Jan down to Werribee Mazda and she purchased the car she was enquiring for that you did not help her with. She got it in the colour she wanted, in the model she wanted, along with extra things added to the bundle that you would have probably ripped her off on. And the thing is, we asked Anthony to show us all the specs, different ranges in that model from the basics to top of the range. And he did it with a smile, he did it with professionalism, he laughed, joked and even gave us fantastic advice. If you were maybe even half off what he was maybe, just maybe you could have gotten that sale from my sister, but oh well. Can not stop raving about how great Anthony was, he made our experience great. We even told him about you and her experience with you. Anthony was that great that my sister was willing to pay the payment of the WHOLE car upfront, but with his good hearted advice she put down a deposit for it. She will be ready to pick up her car by Valentine's day weekend. Mazda, Essendon that is the sort of staff you want working for you. Who takes the time to answer any questions, even if a customer does not end up buying. Heck Anthony's service was that great that my husband and I was saying maybe we should buy a car too. If anyone is after a mazda go see Anthony at Mazda, Werribee. He will take care of you, simply by taking his time to help you decide on what would be best for you in your situation! Well done Mazda Werribee you have an amazing staff on your team! Go see Anthony!

I purchased my dream car, a cx-3. I had Reece as my salesman and i couldn't have asked for a better salesperson.
He took me seriously as a buyer, answered all my questions and was honest which is VERY refreshing and what you want when buying a car. I am absolutely in love with my purchase. I walked away happy with my purchase price and will 100% be coming back in the future for my next car. Essendon mazda is where you want to go. Thank you again Reece, keep up the amazing work! Fantastic service so far Laurie was a pleasure to purchase from at no point applied any pressure techniques in fact quite the opposite answered everything i asked and offered advice when possible constantly kept in contact to ensure i was happy i cant comment on other sales staff as i had zero dealings with them but happy to recommend a gentleman when i find one. Strange others have had trouble i never struggled with reception or getting service department to help maybe past reviews have helped mend issues or maybe i was lucky

I recently got a mazda, and I was amazed by the ease of going through the process of buying a car with the salesman, Pino Scamporlino. As a first car buyer, he catered to this and gave many good deals on the car. He also has an extensive knowledge of how the cars are made up, more then you'd expect for many salesmen. He knows what best suits the customer, or in my case, what best suited me and advised what would be best to incorporate into my car to make it feel comfortable for me. I would definitely recommend this salesman and dealership to my friends who are looking to buy cars!

In the midst of the difficulties associated with Covid-19 they provided a safe and welcoming environment in which we were able to seek information, test drive vehicles and negotiate a mutually beneficial deal. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, answered our many questions and at no time did we feel pressured to close out the transaction. Having purchased my BT50 at Essendon Mazda in October last year,for the prime purpose of traveling around Australia towing my 25 ft 5th wheel caravan,I have had no issues with the car what so ever I am almost due for a 30k service and will wait until back in Melbourne to have it done. I have the utmost confidence in the Essendon team, the service personal are friendly and knowledgable, the last 2 services I have had where prompt and finished on time when promised the car was washed and vacuumed and looked like new again. The sales guys often call me to enquire as to how my trips are going and how the BT is faring, in all I don't think I could ask for more from a dealership, keep up the good work.

Thank you Essendon MAZDA. I m totally in love with my new MAZDA CX5 GT I have purchased new vehicles in the past, but this particular experience has certainty been my best. Special mention to Nick Rerakis..!! Seriously the most genuine person, and definitely knows his stuff..!! I never imagined I d purchase another MAZDA, but Nick changed all of that. No pressure at all, just genuine enthusiasm for his product & delivering an amazing customer experience. I m pretty happy that your Mgr wasn t able to answer my initial questions & he referred YOU to look after me..!! If I can be totally honest.... I was only there to look, & I wouldn t have purchased a vehicle from this dealership based your Mgr s knowledge & direct pressure to commit.

Went to purchase a new CX9 my husband and I turned up at 3pm on a Thursday afternoon when the reception was lovely and couldn't do anymore to help she sent a salesman over who couldn't be bothered to deal with us. He told us to come back on a Saturday! Are you serious??? we were there NOW! And also we like r over an hour away He wouldn't let us test drive a car. Absolutely disgusted Essendon Mazda!!! Pathetic customer service especially when we were wanting to purchase an almost $70,000 car

After getting my Mazda3 from another dealership (W...

After getting my Mazda3 from another dealership (Which claims to be the best - yet not) just over a year ago, I had the chance to accompany my cousin to buy his new Mazda3 at Essendon Mazda this week. I have to say our experience throughout the deal was quite a pleasant one compared to mine. Nick (The Nice Friendly Salesman) made it quite a smooth journey right from the beginning. He spent unrushed quality time explaining everything both before and after the sale, and we drove off with the new Mazda very next day with a big smile. We are impressed with the speedy delivery too.

Points to note: We were given more realistic and honest opinions, options and never pushed to made choices over colour or features or model. Rather than working out what's in the client's pocket and work out how much can be squeezed out, they offered a deal and then juggle to match what client can afford. They never manipulate their words to get rid of stock they want/ what they think the client should buy.

I'll be surely looking forward to dealing with Essendon Mazda in the future and will surely recommend anyone who considers purchasing a Mazda.

Display model 2000 Km used. I never get to see the car until its arrived one months later from some where not from Essendon Mazda. The car got broken windows need to be replace , extremely dirty from inside out , stone chips every where . it was park on the mazda car park out side with no roof top , on the day I pickup the Car with my wife , We so depress to see our new car mazda Cx5 is Not clean up from the out side of the car and the inside of the car very dirty too, No special welcome pickup parking spot for us , just simply pick Your Car out side at the car park . 3 week later I discover The Mazda owner manual book is Missing too .it was a heart broken picking up the new car and to be treat in this condition , Its cost me 37k At Mazda Essendon and to be treated like that . 2 year later the after market driver leather seat broken (they cost me from Mazda Essendon $3500). I have come back to Mazda Essendon for the warranty ,the warranty is four is expire in 2022.
After they took my detail , taking photos . nearly two months later nothing happen , Many back and forward continuously trying to contact Mazda Essendon and getting the update . I still have got no ideas what is going on , each time I tried to ring up they send me around in the circle .the Staff is extremely rude on the phone , Most of the time they will send you to some where just wasting my time . I love the Mazda CX5 but at this point 'm still driving around a 2 year old car with a broken leather seat ....Under the warranty , But I' giving up
I would advice All Mazda Lover please stay away form this place or your life will be Hell like me . One Very Up sad Customer

Craig is the person to go to if you're looking for a Mazda. I just bought a new Mazda 3 SP25 Astina and I couldn't be happier with the whole process, and the beautiful car. I will likely only purchase from Craig in future now as I can't imagine a better experience (which is completely different to every other car buying experience I've had previous to this one!). Craig was very knowledgeable, calm, and not at all pushy. He has very high standards for himself and ensured everything was 'just so' for me. Ask for Craig if you want to drive away feeling confident you've made the right decision!

Sales consultant Reece Rodrigues has been excellent from beginning to explain the vehicle features, organising test drive, providing paperwork and delivery of the vehicle. Highly recommended!!!

Been a Customer there for 7 Years.
The Good :
- Excellent Service Department.
- The Shuttle Service . Especially the Shuttle Van Driver , one of the most polite and pleasant person I have interacted with lately . He is a reason enough to keep coming back for service :-)

The Bad rather the Terrible:
- The new car sales people.
Ok I have been thinking of buying a new Mazda and have turned up to the showroom twice to have a look , have a chat. They are a bunch of most ungrateful people . From the body language it seems customers are a pesky annoyance . There is no one to help you with decisions , and I am not asking lame questions , I had already done my research and wanted some answers / feel .
At times there aren't enough display vehicles . If its your lucky day and there is a display vehicle but if the boot is locked bad luck . I even tried to register for a test Drive online again no response .

I thought they are understaffed due to COVID and I visited the other dealerships around in the vicinity . Got a very good support at TOYOTA , HYUNDAI , SUBARU and KIA showrooms .

Do yourself a favour if you want to buy a new Mazda head over to City Mazda which is just 10K from Essendon way better service there .

As the saying goes You don't value the work that comes your way , there will be a day the work wont value you .

(I endeavour to write fair reviews so as to benefit the community , I try to be fair in my reviews there are a bit too many keyboard warriors shouting explicits from the anonymity behind a screen)

Thank you so much to Hai, Paul, Tim and the whole team at Essendon Mazda for looking after us during the purchase of our new car. We had been looking for a new CX-5 for about 3 months and went to almost every Mazda dealer in Melbourne without any luck we decided to settle for a used or demo car, however, the deal we were given at Essendon Mazda for a brand new car was one too good to refuse. I've had several services and warranty claims proc...

I've had several services and warranty claims processed through this dealer, each one more painful than the last. I have never seen any business automotive or other industry have such utter disregard for their customers.
They will never call you back, The story will change each time you call them.
I am not a special case either, I have regularly seen their service advisors talking down to customers. There is a couple of good people there but unfortunately they are the needle in the haystack.

Friendly, fast service for me during my recent visit. The waiting area was excellent for me to catch up a bit of work. Coffee machine was state of the art, although the coffee wasn"t great... It was free though. There are complementary nibbles too if you were feeling peckish

Not great. After signing contract was told if I needed anything talk to Julie, couldn t get in contact with Julie, ever...all business cards have the same number and they were not helpful. after 2 days and speaking to another salesman (not Julie who I had been told would call me back in 5 mins 4 times in 2 days and never did) to try and get the car registered. I was given the registration plate to get it insured, wasn t registered, just allocated. Fired up at the sales manager and finally got it registered after about a week of back and forth. On collection if the vehicle I pointed out that the car I had purchased had an active recall and asked if it had been done, at first sales manager came over and apologised that it hadn t, and offered me one free service....for trying to sell me a car with a safety recall....lucky the cars are good, we purchased a mazda 5 years ago in QLD and loved their customer service, Essendon Mazda was horrible to deal woth. On the way home also noticed the passenger airbag light is on, something else PD should of picked up. Plenty of dealers in Melbourne, maybe do your homework before visiting.

Purchased my car in December 2017, it arrived with...

Purchased my car in December 2017, it arrived without a headrest in the middle row. Informed jai at essendon Mazda who said they would send a replacement. 2 months later the wrong headrest arrived. 2 months after that the wrong headrest arrived yet again. It is now june 2018 and still no headrest. Informed by reception it was posted 2 weeks ago, however when emailed jai he stated 'yeah its sitting on my desk, I'll post it tomorrow'. Nothing ever got done without me having to harass and chase it to be done. Worst experience ever buying a car. Definitely wont be going back
