Essendon Mazda Review

I purchased my first ever car, Mazda cx3, was a really pleasant time being there. All the stuff were super friendly and easy going.

Rude, unpleasant, dishonest and possibly the worse customer service I have ever had from a dealership. I arrived today to replace compulsory passenger airbag as part of safety recall. There were two customer service ladies at reception, the younger girl told me that it will take over two hours due to it being a lot more complex than expected. After 2 hours and 20 minutes when picking up the car, reading the service invoice, it indicated that the air bag was replaced within the hour (time in: 11:02 & time out: 12:02) as quoted when booking. Very misleading & total disregard for your customer time. To make it even more unpleasant experience, when I bought the car home, there were black marks on the windscreen & left hand side on the passenger side where the console was removed to access the air bag. Very poor customer service and workmanship.

Richard and Laura were friendly, knowledgeable and fun to deal wjtb during the ohs Jain got and delivery process. Looking forward to meeting the post sales team. The CX 9 is great to drive!

In the end I didn't buy a car from Essendon Mazda, but this was no fault of the sales team. It's an odd thing to be praising a sales team for NOT making a sale - I know, however this was the only company in Melbourne who actually seemed to follow their database and called me when there was something to know.

They didn't have the car I needed in the time I needed it. But I do wish they had.

The stand-out was Jason, from used cars. Thanks Jason, and better luck next time.

I had a great experience dealing with Essendon Mazda and my special thanks to Devlin, such a great person and very committed car consultant, I'd definitely go back to the same dealer if I decided to upgrade my car with a new Mazda brand.

I got a good deal from Essendon Mazda for my
first new CX-5 at 2014, then I went back for my 2nd one Dec'2019. But this time, I found it's bad experience ever. At first, the offer was still good but later it's hasn't come with free services as advertised. I picked up the car 2 months later after deposit as waiting for my refinancing loan approval. At that time, I was thinking that free services promo has been finished so I didn't question anything. Two weeks later after got the car, i saw on Instagram that the promotion still on the market, so I contact Essendon Mazda back. I've been told that I've got a very best price already so the free services isn't included. I was surprised with the answer as it is the same original price since I put deposit. Was it because I picked up my car late than expected, so I'm not eligible for free services anymore??? Till now, your dealership still hasn't given me the answer yet.

I had my new Mazda CX5 delivered by Mike Smith from Essendon Mazda this morning and it was exceptional service. Buying a new car is usually an arduous process, up there with taxes, mortgages etc but Mike and the team have made it effortless. Mike was in touch with me regularly both prior to the purchase and also after, when he was extremely helpful in confirming details, arranging the delivery and answering questions.

It s the first time I have purchased a car and actually felt the dealership was really focused on the customer and delivering the best outcome for me. The home delivery and run through of features was the icing on the cake.

Bought our Mazda 6 brand new. We were told that warranty would be void unless serviced at a Mazda dealer which is fair enough. Had a clutch problem within the first week of use, which was rectified under warranty 2 years later.

I service the car right on schedule (every 10,000 Km or 6 months). In the service report, one of the items are "tire rotation" to keep ware even. For the last four or five services I marked the tires to see if they got rotated. They didn't. I've spoken to the service manager (Nigel) about it. He apologized while his service crew rolled their eyes in the background. But they still did not rotate the tires.

Each time I ended up rotating the tires myself at home. I know they cheated me with the tire rotation because I marked the tires and found out for myself. But what about the stuff I cant see? How do I know if they are even changing the oil or the oil filter? Very disappointing service!

If you read the previous reviews, you will see a pattern. Any customer service before the sale, is done with flying colors. Everything after the sale, is $h!t. So after they take your money, they don't want to know you.

Very helpful staff. A huge turnover of clients in a day and everything is always well managed and needs catered for, I always see happy people when I am there waiting for my car.

Thanks Nick for making it nice and easy to get the CX-5 Akera. The reason I choose Mazda were the good google reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. Great service and hospitality.

Too many issues to list here, but DO NOT take your vehicle here for servicing and if you do, don't expect any issues to be resolved. Would give zero stars if it was an option.

Everyone at Essendon Mazda was really friendly and helpful from the moment I walked through the doors. The reception staff went above and beyond to help me, Nick and Randy were really helpful and knowledgable in helping me decide what car to buy. There were no pushy sales tactics and Nick spent a great deal of time with me answering all the queries that I had. Nick gave me a great deal for the car that I choose to buy. Stacey explained the financial side of the transaction and was also very knowledgable, super friendly and eager to help.

Horrible - I am so angry and disappointed. All they want to do is sell sell sell. They sold me a dodgy car which keeps breaking. The staff were not even friendly, all they want to do is sell you a car. Horrible customer service. Would NOT recommend to anyone !! First you tell me car be ready at 12:00pm then you tell me 12:30pm then you call and say 1:00pm, when come and see you at 1:00pm you tell me not ready yet at least another 20mins. You tell me after this time I can have a loan car, I had already been waiting 4 and a half hours don't you think you could tell people after the first delay?
What do I get for my inconvience? A wasted day and a hefty fee!

The WORST experience ever at a dealership.

The used car department is a complete JOKE. Very rude and unprofessional sales staff. Unwilling to negotiate a cent on the listed price. Basically not interested to sell at all. Why would do still need these sales people anyways? If you don't want to negotiate, just say it on your website 'pay this price or just go away'.

The most outrageous thing is that they've literally told me "if you don't want to buy at this price, we will increase the price now" And they did increased the price by nearly $2k on the website as soon as I left the dealer. This just shows how incompetent the staff are with setting price for their own car.

During the talk with a sales person, some random staff just jumped out of nowhere and very rudely started talking rubbish. The way your staff treats customer is just wrong. I've driven all the way from the other side of the city ready to buy a car from you, not to come and listen to rubbish or begging you to sell the car to me.

I have been to several dealership over the years, and have never heard or seen anything like this. I have never left any bad review on google before, but I have to today.

Would highly recommend Essendon Mazda as I have been a customer for decades. Nick was fantastic-unbeatable price and service.

Disappointed with Mazda....... my daughter was driving her Mazda 2 on the freeway and her passenger window "exploded". If it wasn't for the tint on the window the glass would have ended up all over her. She was shocked but managed to get home safely. We took the car to Essendon Mazda on a Tuesday, no one rang her until the Thursday to explain the outcome of their "inspection". The repair took 8 days - No offer of a courtesy car to help her get to work , no phone calls giving us an update & no one returned our call when questioning what was going on. Finally upon collecting the car no one has bothered to explain to us how a car window can just explode? Will it happen again? Is it a fault with this vehicle? A call would be appreciated...... and last of all the car was returned to us filthy. Average customer service, very average actually.

I brought two cars from Essendon Mazda and both times my sales person was Richard Di Sipio. I found him to be very honest and genuine. He works with you to get the best deal and spends time to show you the car. I would highly recommend Richard to anyone in the market looking to buy a new car.

Dropped in to have something minor checked, the team let me test drive a demo while they looked at my car.
