My Husband and I bought a used car from Essendon Mazda from Devlin and we would highly recommend anyone looking for a newer car to go here. Devlin made the experience so easy and stress free. He was not pushy and treated us with respect. We were able to be honest and tell him our concerns and he went away and found a car that suited us. Very happy with our car and experience with Devlin at Essendon Mazda!

I had an upsetting experience at this Mazda dealership yesterday.
I had booked my car for a service on the 31st of December and had discussed with the representative adding Android Auto to the car, at no charge, considering it now standard across your range. However, when I arrived to collect my vehicle the service person wanted to charge me $500 which was not a charge I agreed too, I was humiliated and confused. The service person refused to give my car back which has been extremely stressful and inconvenient.
From the sale to the servicing owning my Mazda has been a disappointment.

From assistance with personal number plates to delivery and servicing - Nothing is a problem and he always returned calls! Which is refreshing! Especially after purchase! Poor Service at Essendon Mazda in Victoria. Dropped off my car before my appointment at 9.20am. Made to wait in waiting room. Car didn t even get looked at until around 1.20pm. Vehicle left service bay at 1.45pm. Cannot understand being charged a couple of hundred dollars for a service that didn t even take 20 minutes. They even said wheel alignment, oil was changed, filters replaced - absolutely no way in a 20 min timeframe! I watched them service my vehicle from afar and in no way way was it done. All I know they have done though is replace the fuse.

The other big issue I have is that customers arrived after me and had their vehicles looked at almost immediately. My car wasn t even washed or cleaned yet others had their vehicles cleaned - it is part of their service to do so.

If you make a booking in advance it is only fair that your vehicle is looked at as per the booking time. Also if you are going to pay $400 plus for a 20 minute service you should expect better.

Would not recommend at all.

Trent Foster attended to me and my family. At that stage, we were still undecided about which car to get. I made it clear that I have several other brand options in mind and has not set my mind on the CX9. Nevertheless, he was still happy to show me around the car. His enthusiasm and sincerity during that engagement was commendable. He displayed exceptional customer service which is one of the factors why we came back to him and purchased the CX9. And that followed through to the day we got the car.

Today I took my car in at 7.30 am and was told I would be taken shortly by the bus driver. Waited 30 minutes then had ask what was occuring to then be told oh he's called in sick. Ok I understand that but notify those that are waiting. Then the service manager took me to my work about 2 suburbs away that took till 9.00 am. We arranged a 4.00 pm pick up. This did occur but not till 4.30 and it took for me to call and check if it was occuring. I was picked up by the service manager and I explained my dissatisfaction with service today I have spent over 2.5 hours getting to and from their centre and I'm not sure how I could justify returning to their centre in the future. I received an apology and he reiterated their difficulty today. I advised if I was to pay for a premium service ( $330) then I would expect something better than having over 2.5 hours of my day just getting to and from your centre. Thanks for your sorries but no offer of any sort recompence for the shambolic and belated service. To top it off upon the drive home (under 5 KMs) the cars warning tire pressure went off 3 times. This is something new to the vehicle. To draw a real short bow with the actual car service and this error occuring would be a logical conclusion. Jeez not only terrible service but to have the car in arguably worse condition I can only recommend to others to consider elsewhere. We were considering updating our Mazda but like many others we will consider another centre that understands the basics of service.

Massive thank you to Nick Rerakis, i purchased a 2020 CX-30 for my wife as a gift and he made sure everything was perfectly setup for a surprise she ll never forget.
His outstanding professionalism and his welcoming nature was a standout for me from the very first conversation. By far one of the best purchase experiences I ve had when buying a brand new car.

Wonderful experience. No pressure and no fast talkers that bamboozle you. The person who sold me my car (Richard) was genuine, very patient, always returned my calls and spent hours with me even though I was just looking. As it turned out I bought a car and I am so happy with it. Yesterday I heard on the news that it was the Wheels Car of the Year (CX30) - even happier now! I would not hesitate in recommending Essendon Mazda to anyone.

I wouldn't think twice about it. If you're planning to purchase your car from Essendon Mazda, please do so at your own peril.

I bought the car from this dealership late last year (Read - August 2018). The car broke down today and I call up the service centre only to be told that my warranty has expired AND WHEN - March 2018. How cool is that? The sales person (Devlin Quai) and the finance department were happy to sell the car to me but could not make sure to get my details (including warranty) into their system.

I'm in the middle of a distressing situation (with the car breaking down on way to getting my baby daughter vaccinated) and I'm told that the warranty has expired when it was blatantly clear that I purchased the car only late last year. Worse still, I was asked to call up Roadside Assist, without providing me with sufficient details. What happens then - Roadside Assist advises me to call up the center again to sort stuff out (regarding the repair).

I would again repeat that this isn't the first time I'm left to rue having taken the decision to purchase a thing from Essendon Mazda. At the time of purchase in Aug last year, I was told by Devlin Quai that the spare key would be organised within a month from the date of purchase. Nothing happened and I had to literally follow-up several times before I could get one. Even on the said date, I was made to wait at the centre much longer than I was promised resulting in me having to forego my workplace commitments.

The one thing that was common between the day when I was asked to collect the spare key with today is:
- I had to miss an important office meeting.

Get your stuff sorted guys. Customer Experience is everything in this age and I'm sure you wouldn't want to take customers for granted.

After purchasing my second hand car from Essendon Mazda I found a few issues & when I first went to have them rectified, unfortunately I dealt with a very incompetent staff member & was left to feel like I didn t know what I was talking about & none of my issues were fixed. Then I spoke to Tamara in the service dept who was very supportive & helpful. She put me on to Braydon King & his customer service has been second to none!! He has confirmed that all the issues I found were in fact issues that needed to be fixed & made sure that EVERY one of them was addressed & rectified. Thank you so much for actually listening to me Braydon!! Essendon Mazda is very lucky to have you there.

He was super helpful and made my purchase so easy and stress-free that dealing with both Reece and Essendon Mazda was a dream. Unbelievably bad service from Christopher. After calling to confirm we could test drive a cx-5 and driving 40 minutes from Fitzroy he refused to let my wife drive the car because we had said we MAY purchase via a lease. Tried cars from Subaru Toyota, Kia and Hyundai the last few weeks and Chris is only rude and unhelpful sales person we have encountered. Take your business elsewhere.

We were meant to buy another make and had come in to Essendon Mazda just to get another perspective. Reese helped us out right from the start and was very helpful in getting us all the information that we needed to make the decision.
As a result we dropped the idea of another make and settled for a Mazda that Reese discussed with us! Very happy with the decision in the end as we got what we really needed! Thank you Reese.

I honestly cannot thank Sam Ganci & Hai Truong enough for making the whole purchase experience simply amazing of our new CX-5. From the second we walked in we were treated more like family then customers. Within 24 hours of purchasing the car we drove away which made it that little bit more special because it was our anniversary on the day.

Previously good service for both Mazdas I've owned recently. The service department let me down badly by not attending to a need for replacement actuator motors for the side mirrors for a car under warranty. This circus went on for almost 7 weeks over five phone calls before Daniel admitted my car had not even been looked at by a service technician and therefore no parts were on order.
So, you have lost this long term customer as I will be going elsewhere for service from now on.

For any used car at Essendon Mazda, please ask for Ozi. Top notch customer service. Recently purchased Honda CRV and had an issue with side mirror and the service team wasn t responsive. Ozi straightaway escalated and got the motor replaced very next day. One of my best buying experience and most importantly great assistance post the sale which is pretty rare these days.

I love my new 2016 Mazda 3 Maxx hatch. Purchased in mid September, I have been zooming around in it for only a little while but it's a wonderful, safe car with awesome features. There were some anxious phone calls to the dealership in early August, when the whole of Melbourne was suddenly put into stage 4 Covid lockdown, and they were forced to close. These guys did a fantastic job, under what would have been incredibly difficult circumstances, I've no doubt, both professionally and personally. I'm fortunate that I live outside of metro Melb, and after some understandable delays, I was allowed to go to the dealership for a contactless delivery in early Oct. I've had the car nearly 3 weeks now, and I absolutely love it. I've been back for my 1000km service, and I'm very happy with my new acquisition. Huge thanks to Alysha (and Adam!), Laura, Andrew, and the service team for their wonderful efforts during this incredibly challenging time.

I have recently had some major issues with my second hand Mazda that I purchased from a different Mazda dealership. Some of these issues were covered under warranty but unfortunately the other dealership required me to drive the 1.5 hours back to them to get this work done and whilst there I did not have a pleasant experience with them.
Daniel from Essendon was nice enough to go through and explain everything wrong in detail with me, whereas the other dealership was annoyed that another Mazda had touched my car and just rude and dismissive.

When more faults occurred only a week later I did not want to go back to the other dealership, however I was lucky enough that Chelsea from Essendon stepped in and saved me. Chelsea did all the hack work, talking to the other dealership, organising my car to be towed to them and ensuring they knew how rude they had been to me the last time I was there.

Without the help of Daniel & Chelsea I would have been an absolute mess trying to figure it out for myself. They are absolute lifesavers!!

I called up Essendon Mazda the day before to have a look at a car that I saw on carsales. They were helpful and arranged for me to come in the next day to line up with when I was free. The salesperson that looked after me (Reece) was super helpful in answering my questions, organising a test drive and making sure I was comfortable with all the in's and out's of the vehicle and the purchase process. A very helpful and friendly team!

For some strange reason they don t like to let you test drive cars. Went there with a friend to buy a car for him and me. Tested one for him and came back to test the one I asked from the beginning, then I was told the car isn t available!!!! While I could see 3 of them parked outside with price tags on them. Did you expect me to be a customer then? Without testing?!

After getting 100k service done, I realised the car was getting flat spots in power. Was worried, but Mazda said I have to wait for next appointment which was 3 days.
Couldn't wait that long, so took it to a local mechanic to get a quick check up.
FOUND 3 HOSES NOT TIGHTENED BACK UP, SO THE ENGINE WAS LOSING PRESSURE.
The apprentice must have forgotten to tighten them, oops it happens. No it shouldn't happen when you pay $700.
Mazda should've told me to come back immediately for safety reason.
Never going back again.

I attended Essendon Mazda as a bit of a mix up. Upon arrival I noticed a car that caught my eye. As I didn t attend to see this particular car I was unsure. I met Jason who was a gentleman. He sat me down, we spoke about the car and features. He was not pushy or intrusive and was very guiding and helpful in explaining the car I was looking at and other cars I was considering to purchase. That was the first car I saw and made the purchase on the car but also in dealing with Jason. Since the purchase, I couldn t be happier with the car and the service from the whole team at Essendon Mazda but in particular to Jason. Very Poor Service

Very Poor Service
I dropped my there yesterday morning to fix up the istop and they called me in the evening that your car ihas been fixed and u can pick it tomorrow morning 7:30 am.
I picked my car today morning and istop again not working at all.
Like they kept my car for 24 hours and didn t fix it.

And their staff member don t even know how to activate and deactivate the istop.
I need to take two days off from work and my car is still not fixed

Im really disappointed
