Was told to drop car off at 11am and it will take 1 hour. When i got there i was informed my car would be there for 5 hours. I had my 2 kids under 2 with me as i thought 1 hour i would just go for a walk. Had i been told 5 hours i would have organised to be picked up as it was my car was not ready till around 5.20pm. Maybe just inform people when car is being booked in.

Long story short but we have been accused of being liars, given incorrect and deceptive information and received the most disgraceful display of customer service I've ever experienced. If I could mark you zero stars I would. DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE! We look forward to your response to the ACCC investigation

These gentlemen were extremely patient with my queries and happy to take the time to have even have a coffee with me before and after the purchase! I would very strongly recommend everyone to buy a car from this dealership (and yes I am a client from the Keilor Road days!) as they are patient as saints and very knowledgeable about the Mazda brand. I consider Essendon Mazda as part of my family as this is one of my important milestones in my life! I was replacing a 2014 CX-5 Maxx Sport with a 2019 CX-5 Touring, and Essendon Mazda's price was most competitive.

I found the overall experience very pleasant, Sylvanna the sales person knowledgeable and competent. She followed up a couple of times after the initial contact, but didn't badger me.

Laura, who delivered the car, was particularly helpful, explained the features superbly, and I suffered from 'information overload' when she'd finished.

I thought the shroud and bow a nice touch, a little over the top, but for somebody buying their first Mazda, probably very impressive and appealing.

I've bought so many new cars that it's not a big occasion for me, and all I want to do is get in and drive it away, but with cars' increasing complexity, a good briefing of the features was welcomed.

I understand that dealers are constantly finding ways to satisfy, even impress, their buyers, and the shroud and bow certainly has the ability to do that.

I found the ride very hard on the drive home, not consistent with my test drive, and was disappointed, on checking tyre pressures, to find them to be 40/41 psi, 7/8 psi above the recommended pressures. It's only a single item, very evident, but I did wonder if there were other items, not as evident, missed in the predelivery inspection, but the overall detailing seemed to be a very high standard.

I'm sure I'll be just as impressed with this CX-5 as I was with the previous model.

Overall, I'd give Essendon Mazda close to a perfect score for the total experience.

Bad experience today at Essendon Mazda in 2016 we bought a new GT Mazda 6 they pushed us to buy an extended warranty which we bought in good faith believing it was the same as new car warranty that what they made us believe today we went there as the rubber seal on the driver side only to be told the trim not under warranty the engine yes not the trim after we had few words with a service manager I was told not to go there anymore go to a different dealer after speaking with Mazda Australia the extended warranty applies only to Essendon Mazda si that means we have forfeit 2 years of warranty nice one Essendon Mazda

I purchased a Mazda 3 in 2011. They were very helpful and friendly when we purchased the car, we serviced the at every 10,000 at essendon mazda so we do not void the warranty.

But when we had a major problem with the car, they would not fix it under warranty. My car was at the service department for 2 weeks and they would not give me a loan car, even though I have 2 young children. They just did not care.

I would never recommend anyone to purchase a car from Essendon Mazda or service there car there. They just don't care, they just want your money.

I have had great experiences at the Mazda Dealerships I ve been to, but Essendon Mazda goes above and beyond to give you the best customer experience possible. All of the staff are organised, switched on, professional and friendly. I even missed the curtesy bus to the train station one time and the service department manager personally gave me a lift to the train. I would never go anywhere else and it makes me want to always drive Mazdas in the future. Great cars and they offer express services which are so convenient and the service prices are kept low. You buy a brand new vehicle thats reliable but no matter what your always going to have issues come up. Going on 6 years for my cx5 diesel maxx sport on 116,000 and had some issues come up nothing too major but its all about the after care support you recieve thats makes a world of diffrence to the brand and dealership you choose to purchase your vehicle from. Without blinking an eye i would again purchase my next vehicle from essendon mazda as the aftercare service was absolutely 5 stars. I wish i could give them a higher rating. This is the poorest service of any car dealer I have had to deal with. I called up for a quote last week, didn't receive it. I then called this week to follow up as maybe the email address was taken incorrectly (gave the dealer the benefit of doubt). Today I still have not received a quote. Called to speak to the manager, unavailable to speak to me. Well you've missed out on a sale of two utes mate. We have a fleet of 15 cars that we update regularly. Very very poor customer service. And this isn't the first time I've experienced this at Essendon Mazda.

Went to Essendon Mazda as a quick stop before going to Hyundai to buy an entry level car with as many features as possible. I had already conducted some research online so roughly knew what each car I was interested in had on offer. In the end, I never made it to Hyundai. I dealt with Fred at Essendon who seemed genuine and helpful and two hours later on one Sunday, I had signed up to buy a Mazda 2 Maxx Sedan. As it was a new car, shipment of the vehicle took some weeks which I was well aware of and Essendon Mazda have been courteous and professional throughout this process. I picked up my car on Xmas Eve where Fred went through all the features and components of my new car and I was on my way. Dealing with Essendon Mazda has been easy and efficient and everyone in my social circle has commented on not only how great my new car looks but also what good value it is given how much I paid. Chris the complimentary bus driver was very friendly - dropped me off at home and picked me and my son at school. Brad was also very professional. Battery was replaced under warranty. I purchased my Mazda 3 from Essendon Mazda two years ago and after an accident I needed a new car. I looked at a couple of other brands, but what brought me back was the safety features of the Mazda. I didn't buy another Mazda 3, but settled for a Cx-3 and I am really happy with it. Pino, Slyvana and Laura were great, especially Pino and Laura with understanding I couldn't take possession of the car once it came in for a couple of weeks. Final Edit: After a very prompt call to find out what had occurred, Todd (Service Manager), arranged for my vehicle to go into Essendon Fields Mazda today for a check over and service. Upon review of the drive belt , he acknowledged that it should ve been replaced earlier and has subsequently reimbursed me for my out of pocket expenses from last Friday. Todd has assured me that his staff are now fully aware of the need to check the belt during routine services and I feel confident that he will have the service department back up to standard quickly. Thank you for your assistance and quick response Todd! (Rating changed from 1 star to 4 Stars)

Edit: The Manager has been in touch very promptly to try and look into and resolve this issue. He was very courteous and professional, listening to my concerns and suggested I bring my car in so he could look at it. I will take the car in for a review of the issues to attempt to determine what led to this and update here accordingly.

I ve been coming to Mazda Essendon Fields for many, many years (on to my third Mazda), and I ve noticed the servicing has slipped over the last couple of years... Today I was driving through country Victoria (42 degree day) returning home from camping when the air con suddenly stopped, the battery light came on and the car lost power. By pure luck I was driving through a town at the time so able to get shade and phone service for RACV. The lovely RACV man found the problem in seconds - drive belt snapped in half, when taken out it was full of cracks and RACV man astonished when I mentioned the service in November - advised it has needed replacing a while ago. Battery also needed replacing as completely dead due to the lack of drive belt, and he was shocked by the amount of acid on the battery ( that should be rinsed off each service with some boiling water ) which had corroded the cover that holds the battery in place. This is not the kind of lack of servicing I expect from Mazda Essendon Fields.. Am very angry as this could ve killed the car completely, or worse - happened where I couldn t get help.

Was lucky enough to test drive the brand new CX-30...

Was lucky enough to test drive the brand new CX-30 for a week recently. I m not really a car person but I was super impressed with the space and the features. I have a toddler and having room to get him in and out of the car seat, plus having a hands free option and push button operation for the boot is brilliant. Also I really like the display functionality. The speedo projects onto the window which means you don t need to look at the dash while driving (really safe) and controls for radio, voice activated phone, etc were also really user friendly. Plus it drives really well and is easy to park. Definitely recommend as a family car, that has lots of space, but is still small enough to easily park in the inner city (I live in Brunswick East but am always driving around Carlton and Fitzroy). Loved it!

I've been a customer for over 9 years at Essendon Mazda but will never take my vehicles there again. Seems like they are only interested in taking your money for a service, anything else is too hard.

I have booked twice to get my interior light replaced during the service and both times the work has not been done. Last time I called to confirm that the part will be there. I was assured it will be done and never was. I now have to wait over 1 month to get a globe replaced. Pretty average service.

Paul Gelsi in the sales team looked after us (Laurie had originally spoken to us the week before but was away the weekend we purchased) and Paul from finance helped sort that part out. Be careful, once you service your car here you got to make sure what they say in the invoice is what you agreed upon. Service department said " i have a weak battery" I told them I have no issues with my battery, i also have a battery indicator in my car, telling you if its weak or not by the voltage. Then I noticed things were written on my invoice service papers claiming i said no to a battery change and they wrote in the invoice my battery is weak and needs replacement. why write that? When i wasnt informed. Thats deceiving.

Also i noticed that they didnt even check my car properly. How I know? I went to a different dealer for second opinion and they said that there is a problem with my front right brajes. It wasnt not unclamping and clamping properly. Keep in mind this was 2 days after my car was serviced by mazda essendon.

I guess they dont inspect your car? They just tick your invoice saying yes yes yes ? Without inspecting? I call that dangerous and careless.

I have bought this car new at this dealer and serviced it there every 10,000kms. I guess they are nice when you buy a car but when its service time they are dodgy and dont even inspect your car 100% as they should. I wonder if they even service your car properly or is it dont by apprentices. To save cost.

Bad for thrm, i bought another new mazda but at city mazda, got a better deal and staff were more friendly unlike essendon mazda.

If you want dodgy service and staff to rip you off and treat you like you are dumb trying to squeeze money from you. Come to essendon mazda.

Couldn't have asked for better service. Was interested in the CX5 and was given a test drive promptly by Craig which was much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble, was given the different options with the vehicle and got the car for the price I wanted. Very professional service from all concerned from Craig, Rhiannon and Sylvanna. Would highly recommend them, and Essendon Mazda to anyone. BTW, the car is brilliant!!

Craig Parker was so easy to deal with. His approach was first class and didn't give us any grief from start to taking delivery. All car salesman should be like him

Was planning to give 1 star but a salesperson half effort attempt to "assist" will get another 1 for effort.
Went in on Sat late arvo to take a quick look after spending some time at Airport Mercedes. Went into the showroom at about 4.20pm and sat in the STouring CX-3. Right next to the car is a desk with a dude sitting there looking real bored and every attempt to get his attention failed even after making eye contact. Maybe it's time to head home and he has met his quota for the day.
The 2nd star salesperson came around with some interest but were simply making conversation as he was not following up on any of my replies. Asked if I could take it for a spin even after stating that I know it's kind of late and his response was "you could". Nothing after and he simply followed me around for the next 5 mins. Asking closed questions just for the sake of letting me know that he's still around. How about offering me to take it for a spin?

Had the pleasure of dealing with Craig when we purchased our new cx-5. He was perfect to deal with and we could not be happier with the car and the service we got from him. Our next car will be from Craig too.

I rang and made appointment. When I brought my car in they didn t have the booking noted but were very helpful to accomodate their mistake. They did a full service and returned the car in a clean condition. However, after driving I noticed the window wiper fluid was empty. I checked the notes and they did inspect the fluid and flushed it and claimed to have filled it. I rang and told someone would call me back. They called me back 2 days later and apologised sincerely. They have offered to send some window washer solution or sachets to me.
I am glad they offered to rectify the issue.

Dont care what other dealership has agreed to. Mulgrave dealership finds a fault and asks to get it rectified anywhere in Australia!! Essendon Mazda conviniently declines of there being any fault and asks to get back to the orginal dealership if still concerned!
