I was there few weeks back after my Honda Accord was feeling like a hard truck, where my steering wheel was so tight. I was taken care by "Mr Bill Mitchell" at the service center and he was able to list out all the possible issues that my car had at that time. I did not do a major service on my vehicle for almost 2 years then.

Bill helped me to understand the issues and eventually my car was fixed with tons of troubles other than just the power steering issue that i went for. Thanks Bill for explaining to me in layman terms.

I usually don t do reviews but I felt it was necessary to let the public know my experience and hopefully they can go in ensuring they receive the best service.

I have been here twice for service, 1st experience went very well. Second time was executed poorly so the inconsistency is a concern.

TL:DR
Car serviced for $1600 to replace 2 front struts and power steering pump system. Honda Service inspection assigned green score to battery, engine filter and power steering fluid. Battery was corroded and dead 3 days after leaving Honda when replaced by autozone, air filter was black as midnight and power steering fluid needed to be flushed and filled up to correct levels 1 month later after getting car inspected by Honda Service. (You would think this would be a non-issue when getting your entire power steering pump system replace)

Basically Honda is cutting corners and charging you exorbitant amounts for their highly rated service. So before you drive off ensure you hold them accountable and verify in the report you are actually getting green scores assigned properly. Unacceptable. DO NOT TRUST THEIR COLOR LEVEL REPORTS.

Just because you take it to the dealership service center doesn t mean you get 5 star service.

The good:
The people are very friendly and are always helpful in answering questions or working with you to understand the repairs and costs. The staff always had a smile on their face and greeted you every time you walked in.

The shuttle service is fast and will work with you to pick you up from work so you don t have to worry about calling a ride share service.

The bad:
Obviously this is where the 2 stars came in on actually servicing my vehicle that I felt they really dropped the ball.

Honda Service will give a report of red yellow or green scores on different aspects of your car (brakes, fluid, filters etc.) to show the current status and what s needs to be addressed. There were 3 issues after my car got serviced that Honda skipped over and did not properly inform me of their red status as they should have.

1. Battery - 3 days after getting my car serviced from Honda, started my car to go to work and it was dead. Opened the hood and the positive terminal on my battery was corroded and covered in blue cake/foam. Reviewed report and it said battery was green and charge levels were full. Went to autozone and they did a test and said the battery was completely dead. How is his possible 3 days after having professionals from Honda service inspecting my car and they assigned green .

It would have been great if they told me ahead in time that my battery needed to be replaced so I didn t miss a day of work with a surprised dead battery.

2. Engine filter and power steering fluid:
1 month later went to get my car inspected and the mechanic showed me 2 issues, the engine air filter needed to be replaced and the power steering fluid was extremely low. What upsets me is if I m paying all this $$$ to replace power steering pump why am I so low on fluid 1 month later? The mechanic visually showed me these issues so it s not word of mouth, I saw the black filter and almost empty fluid container.

Why wasn t the engine filter addressed as red levels and needed to be replaced? Is Honda doing their due diligence and is anyone in management checking their employees work and not screwing over their customer base?

I hope Honda reviews who did my inspection report and hold them accountable because he or she is probably doing this to other customers visiting your shop.

In conclusion my trust in their service has dropped pretty much to zero. First experience was great but now I wonder if their were some corners cut there too. You would think paying so much $$$ would provide peace of mind of the Honda Service professionals doing their job correctly and making sure I can feel safe and confident in my vehicle when leaving their service facility. Nope.

I hope this review is a wake up call for Honda and helps any future customers from getting blind-sided.

They quickly looked at the vehicle determined what work was needed and had me on my way in a very short period of time. The waiting area was comfortable and clean. I didn't buy my Honda here but I will certainly give them an opportunity when buying my next vehicle.

Seriously disappointed with this dealership. Bought a brand new vehicle from them and have been disappointed/frustrated in nearly every step of the process.

Edit: Had an issue where I was told one thing by the finance manager and another by the dealership. Spoke with the GM Oli by phone about this. During the conversation I mentioned that I had the original conversation recorded and that I would be happy to send it to him. Oli immediately went ballistic. When he asked if I was recording the current conversation I answered "of course!" He told me that that was illegal and I informed him that Texas is a single-party consent state. He then hung up on me.

In my experience the only people worried about being recorded are those doing things they know to be wrong. The GM wont even talk to a customer on the phone if he's being recorded. To me this says that from the TOP MANAGER DOWN this place is shifty. They will sleight-of-hand and manipulate you in any way they can. BUYER BEWARE - I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN!

After seeing a lot of good reviews, I decided to get my Honda odyssey serviced here. It had 80k miles so I thought it would need minor other fixed with minder but looks like they took advantage of this and produced approx. $7000.00 of repairs and everything with immediate attention. I felt like sky fell on me. Tried reaching to advisor on phone but no help so had to go there. After some discussion, the advisor brought it down to $4000.00 after applying some $250.00 coupons which were not offered earlier.
I'm not confident that a car like Honda odyssey which has driven by one person and maintained with all care would need this much of repairs suddenly. It is quite possible that they are trying to make up for the slowdown of business due to pandemic with these repairs. Being a family man also don't want to take risk with a broken vehicle. Is there any honest service shop in this town?
Also doubting that Honda is making any reliable vehicles or just let these authorized shops rip off customers.

I bought my 2012 Pilot here and have brought it back for all service. While I was not happy with, what I consider shenanigans, the finance people did to try to get me to buy all the add-ons, I have been very happy with the service department. They are prompt, courteous, professional, and honest. I compare prices and they have always been competitive. I just took my Pilot in to check the brakes because it was making a squeaking noise when I braked (40K miles). They found the brake pads to be good. They offered to do some work on the rotors to alleviate the squeaking but said the brakes were sound and would be fine for a while longer. This kind of honesty goes a long way with me and I appreciate it.

Our salesman, Lee Shaw was great! I purchased the car from him by phone and placed a $500 deposit online. Upon arrival the car was clean, however, there was a small door ding on the driver's side, and a couple of nicks on the rear bumper that should have been touched up/fixed prior to sale for the price paid. The cigarette smoke smell was covered up very well and non-existent on the test drive. However, on the 3 hour drive home, the strong cigarette smoke smell appeared and is now noticeable at all times. I have not had time to take the car to a detail shop for an ozone treatment yet. The car had 15000 miles, and only a limited number were available within 300 miles, so I did not have a lot of choices. The finance guy was cool, but a little pushy. I already had financing arranged and wanted to sign and go, but I had to waste time listening to an unnecessary sales pitch. This dealership has won several President's Awards from Honda. However, this was not what I would call a "President's Award" transaction. They were busy, but you cannot overlook the small stuff.

I sent my mother to test drive a car to see what she likes and when she got there the salesperson was pushy about buying a car. I found the same car online at another dealership 3k less and they lied to her saying that is not correct. Then they charge $1695 in dealer adds that cost $100 which is illegal to do and I will report it. When she got to finance the lady told her that she has to finance to get that price which is illegal again because there was no rebate to finance with Honda that she signed. After telling the lady she did not want any products at the end when she printed paperwork she adds $300 for paint protection saying that she had to buy. I CAN'T WAIT TO FILL OUT THE SURVEY!!! Very Disappointed!!

I have very bad experience worked with sales rep Brandon and Malory Vicks is the manager. They give me a price for Honda CR-V ExL last night and I just went to pickup the car today and they are asking me to pay $1k extra. This is they way they are treating customers.
Now I walked out without buying car. Luckily I have my friend dropped and didn t go away so far and came back to pickup me.

Customer Service failure. Service manager decided to take a stand on a 4 dollar remote screw and cost the shop nearly 2K dollars of repair work. Nothing makes you want to spend your hard earned money like being talked to like you are an idiot. Overheard same service manager a few weeks later on an unrelated visit coaching a service adviser "[customer] is saying anything to you to get the results she wants." Loud as day in front of other customers. Little surprised, but shouldn't be considering how I was talked to earlier. Maybe by default not assume everyone is lying to you to get stuff? Service advisers are good....service manager not so much.

I was surprised by my our experience here. Sergei greeted us as soon as we walked up, found out exactly what we were looking for and told us every possible feature and trait the thing had. Knew the answer to every question (said he's been there over a decade, so he knows his stuff). Main in finance was also great to work with. Very sociable and polite. Both were easy to work with and didn't make the entire experience unbearable; quite the opposite. I hate the experience of buying cars because of negotiation, but I don't feel taken advantage of in any way. Wife got exactly what she wanted, and she loves it. Thank you Sergei and Main!

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I was completely taken advantage of with the purchase of my 2015 civic. I was charged about $5,000 dollars more then what the car was actually worth. When I tried to go trade it off for something that was not so expensive, the dealership had turned me upside down in payments by about $10,000 dollars. Even a month after purchase they were not at all interested in helping me. The new manager is extremely rude, and will not take the time to make a phone call back to someone who has been trying to reach her for about 5 days. I will never go back to this dealership. I will never buy another Honda. Terrible service

Buying experience with my sales rep. Awesome. I've bought 3 cars from him.
Finance experience was absolutely terrible. Asian lady tried to screw me and take my old cars warranty and extras that I was aware I had and called to get my check to find out that the dealership had requested my money sent to them to pay for the "free" mechanical warranty and "free" clothe spray and treatment. I called several times to which they finally gave me a check for my money back. I will never purchase a car hear ever again.

As for the service department. I came in with no appointment for an oil change. I expressed to the guy that my radio keeps freezing up when I get a phone call on Bluetooth. He informed me that it would be a 100+ diagnostic that they would charge me if they found anything that needed to be replaced that warranty wouldn't cover. Basically they would either fix the issue under warranty or charge me regardless of fixing the issue. This is terrible. I'm done coming here. Please head my warning. Don't buy from here. Simply put!

They said the car was fine and I picked it up and noticed my tire light was on which is worrisome because now I think they didn t check the car at all or they would have noticed that. Over all I m pleased- they replaced a defective battery. However, the guy that first took my vehicle left the area without telling anyone what the problem was. My car sat there for an hour unattended in the service port in front of about 15 employees. I finally walked over to another guy and said what s the status of my car. Deer in headlights look? I was informed the other dude went home or to a party without informing his co-workers of the problem with my battery. Once we got it straightened our repair was done quickly.

2nd car purchased here! I went through DJ Raymond this time around. I bought the car early May. I didn t feel like looking around the lot with a sales person, he let me wander around and look, I didn t feel pressured at all! Just called him when I seen the car I wanted to look at... there were a few. But he went back and fourth for me. I would recommend him to any person who goes to that dealership! The car has been great!! Going to pick up my plates soon.

I bought a used Acura 2008 on Valentines day for my wife as a gift, after driving a little bit started hearing thumping, clicking noise from front right side. I spoke to the dealer from whom i bought the car they said bring it in and we will look at it see what we can do, I felt very encouraged. I brought the car in on 2/21/17 at the dealership and left for all day at service department, no one called me with any update. Finally i called myself around 3.30 PM and they said you have bad shocks and they will charge 750 and not fix for free. I felt very deceived not to mention they charged me price which is 3K over Kelly blue book and on top not even fix the Shocks.
I am not going back to this place and will share my experience with all friends.

I had a excellent experience at David McDavid Honda of Frisco. After going to another dealership and speaking to several more over the phone the previous two days, I thought it was going to be impossible to get into the vehicle I wanted for a price I could afford. Thankfully Patrick K. Called me. After visiting with dealers the last few days, I was not interested in going to the dealership all over again. Patrick ran numbers with me over the phone and we agreed on a price. He gave me a great deal and even offered to drive their to my house since I wasn't trading in my previous vehicle.
When I got there I didn't wait long. We did the paperwork quickly since we had already agreed on a price. The dealership was clean and even had a small corner for kids to play in with tables close by so I could watch my daughter. Patrick was very professional and knowledgeable about my vehicle.
I did get financing through my bank. My husband and I were both on the loan. They let me take the vehicle home even though my husband couldn't come sign for another 2 days. Josh handled my paperwork in e finance department. He wasn't too pushy when trying to sell me warranties. He was also very sweet to my little girl and even helped me carry some of her stuff back to the finance office. He even had some toys and crayons in his office to keep her entertained.
Before we left Patrick had my gas tank full and even put my baby's car seat in for me. He showed me how to connect my phone and also how to use the Honda sensing.
The next day I noticed the door handle on the drivers door was loose. My husband drove it up there the following day and it was fixed the next day. I've emailed Patrick with several questions and he has always responded quickly. Very satisfied with their service!

When getting off work after 5:00 I found my car battery was dead, after getting it jumped off, I also found that my alarm was going off...loudly. My alarm finally stopped, but I was afraid to go home not knowing what would happen after that. BTW did I mention that the battery in my key fob was out too? I got on the road at rush hour is Dallas and was greeted by Tyler Anderson. I arrived in a nervous rush and in a state of craziness. After sharing my concerns, Tyler took my key - changed the battery - thus creating a way to turn off the alarm. All without making me feel badly that I arrived very close to quitting time....or making me feel like a crazy woman who didn't have a clue.

When I asked about the damages $$$$ he said, just come back and ask for me next time. Ten minutes later, I was on the road home, and back to normal.

Car i was buying has hail damage. They didnt drop price. And sold it according to kelly book value. I told them get the insurance qoute and deduct it from kelly book value. They didnt do that. And for my trade in car they tried to give me $2500. Whereas toyota of richardson was giving me $5000. And kelly book value for my car was $8000. If they call it business then thieves and robbers are also doing business if you know what i mean. Never going back there. Period

Have taken my car here over the years, always had a good experience, and have to say I was very impressed with Tony and the service department today. Went in for an oil change, took the free shuttle back to work, and was told later I had an axle leak. I approved the repair, but an hour later Tony called me back to apologize and said it was a mistake - the tech checked the wrong box! He and the tech personally double checked and verified there was nothing wrong with my car. And I got the free shuttle back. It's unfortunate not every Honda dealership is as good as this one.

I hardly write reviews but feel compelled to do so here. Buying my car from David McDavid Honda was such a smooth process. I worked with Doug White as the main salesman and William Stalik as the sales manager. I flew into DFW to purchase my 2018 Honda Civic SI and Doug met me at the airport and gave me a ride to the dealership. Doug is professional, courteous and just a genuine and honest guy. Both Doug and William made sure I was 100% satisfied with all aspects of the car. We went through a very thorough delivery process in which they explained all of the functions of the vehicle in great detail. I would and will highly recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership (and suggest to reach out to Doug or William). I also want to thank the person that handled my financing (I think his name was William too but could be entirely wrong on that). They had a better interest rate available than my bank have approved me for and he was very transparent in the entire financing process. Thank you David McDavid of Frisco for the car!

Was about to purchase a vehicle yesterday. This vehicle was listed as CPO on the website, and the sales rep I was in contact with reminded me the day of my visit that it was CPO. Right before I went to the finance department to write a check, the manager came out saying that the vehicle was not CPO. I'm not sure who to blame for this mistake, but I do not trust this place at all and they will never have my business again.

Great place for service. I was in and out this morning for a tire rotation and am oil change. During the Covid 19 crisis, they put plastic on the driver's seat, foot rest and steering wheel. They also have chairs spaced out in the waiting area for the 6 foot social distancing. All employees wore masks and there were less employees. I highly recommend David McDavid!

We have had several bad experiences with the service department. This time in particular, we dropped our car off in the morning and we were told it would take between 1 and 1.5 hours to complete service. Great, I ll go to work and come back during lunch to get it. Car was not completed until after 6 pm. Communication was terrible, service advisor Megan was never available and we had to constantly leave messages, other service advisors and the cashier were incredibly rude. The manager Collin was very apologetic and admitted that a mistake had been made at drop off, which is the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1.

Had appointment at noon and was promptly seen by Sam Saidian. He was personable, solicitous, knowledgeable about Honda CR-V and spent time just the right amount of time showing me the features of the car. He was able to dispel my concerns about the negative info on the internet about the CR-v. Sam did not pressure or rush me to make a decision. It was busy that day and the whole process took just under 3 hours.

Oh, the bad stories I could tell about this dealer... just went in yesterday, 09-10-2016, to give them one last chance to earn my business. I wanted (hesitantly) a CRV SE edition... nothing fancy, whatever base was on the SE would have been fine. I was trading in one of their own Honda Civics (2013 LX from them, not 3 yrs ago!) and have 3 months left on the lease. Price quoted was around $26k for the CRV, as they had a lease special going. They quoted me $10k for the Civic and I have a tad less than $12k left on the remainder of the car (thought I was leasing?!?!!?). Payment came out to $359 a month. Funny thing, my wife has the EXACT SAME VEHICLE from ANOTHER DEALER (another long, sad story from this Frisco dealer) for $350, maintenance and 15k miles rolled in. The finance team wouldn't budge off the NINE DOLLARS. All I was asking for was for the deal to be the same as my wife's. They balked and I walked away. My experience was flawless! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Gary, my sales person. He helped me decide on the perfect car for me when I was unsure. But after he went out of his way for me to pull up multiple cars to test drive, I was confident in my decision. He helped me get everything I needed and I was able to walk out of the store with a new car, hassle free. Thank you Gary and Jae Kim for giving me the best experience.

If the car you are getting is being looked at by other potential buyers they will increase the down payment inorder to get as much money off you as possible. The finance guy and managers working here are the worst there is. I have gone to many dealerships and I haven't experienced what I did here today.
