I purchased a 2020 Honda Pilot EX-L at David McDavid Honda of Frisco from Victor Berry on May 8, 2020.This was an excellent experience from start to finish. Victor was very professional, polite, attentive, trustworthy, and the process was quick and painless. His approach was relaxed but he always made me feel like I was a priority. There was no pressure from him at all. There was no haggling and I was able to leave with a brand new Honda Pilot with my dignity still in tact. The final price was exactly as negotiated with no last minute surprises. I love that Ali Benli, General Manager introduced herself and even came out again when I drove away with my new vehicle. Her second appearance when the deal was all done made me feel that she wasn t just there to get the sale closed but also was genuinely happy that I was very happy about at the process from the start to finish. I told her, Victor Berry was the best part of this process . His dedication and no games approach was what made me decide early on that he would be the one I would purchase my new vehicle from.

I went to David McDavid a few weeks ago to look at a car that would be an upgrade for my previous purchase from this lot after the lot being interested in buying my car back. I get there, I had an amazing car salesman, William Tift, he found exactly what I wanted! Also, Youness was awesome too! The only reason I can't give 5 stars is for 2 reasons: 1) I told the numbers guy my max amount I could pay, we agreed on my paying only $15 more a month, no big deal until I get to warranty and gap insurance part. Here I am paying $65 more a month instead of the $15. That's $65 over my budget that I have to pull from somewhere else. While I really like the car, it's not my dream car but for the price I'll be paying, I shouldn't just visited a Mercedes-Benz lot.
2) The annoying text messages that I kept receiving while talking with William was a big distraction. Like I'm here and someone is asking me if I'm going to make my appointment. Also, I receive an annoying phone call 15 minutes after confirming an appointment with William, asking the same questions. So I'll chalk it up to lack of communication. William was great, let him do his job as being the face of the company, or at least introduce yourself in person rather than texting and calling me. I never knew who I was even speaking with it what their
job title was.
Last but not least, a quick recap: I love my new car! William Tift was awesome, go see him, he's your guy, very personable. Youness was great and made me feel comfortable and not pressured to pick a coverage plan. But hold your guns on price with those guys in the glass office located centrally in the store, it's them that are playing hard ball!

My flat tire indicator went off on a car with fewer than 10k miles. So I went to Honda they checked the light and said that the tire was fine. So the tire is actually flat a couple days later and the cad did not actually have the wheel lock - it was specifically from the plastic insert that came with the car. So I called with a request for a new wheel lock and was given the standard "my manager says response" and when I asked to speak to said manager went to voicemail. These guys are so shady - that was the least professional interaction I've had with a car dealer. I would not buy a car here again.

I was very impressed recently with the service I got from Buddy Mays and CJ Bartle. I went in for an oil change and they found my tires needed replacing. They took time with me to pick out the right tires where I could get a rebate and Buddy (who I knew from David McDavid in Irving when I lived in that area) even offered to go to another dealership to pick up the tires if they were not in stock at Frisco! What great guys and great service! I have always had good service at this dealership and highly recommend them.

Sales guy David Rivera was fantastic and rates 5 stars. The facility rates 4 stars ---- nice, big open showroom, widely spaced seating areas and extremely clean garage for inspecting vehicles. I am also pleased that I received a great vehicle at a fair price and a fair value for my trade in. David Rivera worked with me on all of the arrangements.
I'm rating 2 stars overall for my visit primarily because of the lengthy delays I experienced in the Finance Manager's (MJ) office. This was not necessarily his fault, and he did apologize at least 4-5 times for the delays. I don't know if the delays were caused by the systems/software/interface he was using, unresponsive computer, lack of training, or just a slower-than-normal internet. The Finance Manager blamed it on his computer several times and at one point he had to completely restart his machine. I was extremely frustrated at the lengthy delays.
This entire visit lasted 2.5 hours, which was unacceptable to me. If this had been a car I was purchasing for myself, I very well may have walked out the door before completing the purchase. But this car is for a family member and I had promised to bring it home that very day. And I did. Eventually. I have the car and I'm happy with the car. But I have purchased many cars from a variety of new/used dealers, and I can tell you that this visit should have lasted about 1 hour. Tops. Prior to arriving at the dealership, I had the price, terms, and trade-in value settled with David. I put down a deposit for the car online. I filled out the credit application prior to arriving. I have stellar credit. There was simply no valid reason this visit should have taken 2.5 hours.
Another issue I had was with the high-pressure sales job given to me by the Finance Manager on the additional-cost extended warranty options and HondaCare items. Yes, I expect these sales pitches with every finance manager. But this was more annoying than normal, probably because of all the lengthy delays and the length of time I spent in his office. After I turned down the FM's pitch, he left his office and sent in one of the Assistant Directors to apply even MORE pressure on me to purchase the extended warranty. Why all this pressure to convince me to extend/enhance the 4 year warranty I was already getting on my CPO Honda? This was totally out of line. And that Assistant Director made some comments that I would consider rude and disrespectful to someone that was spending $20K at the dealership.
Bottom line for this dealership is that the negotiated prices they will offer are probably the best in the metroplex. The sales team is top notch and will work with you to secure a good deal. But this dealership needs to work on halting the high pressure sales pitches on their extended warranty packages and streamlining their overall process so it doesn't take as long to finalize the purchase.

I would say my experience with the dealership started off on a good note, but ended rather sourly (and looking back, I am not regretting). I started my interactions with Sam Bakshi, over email and phone. They "wont" give you any idea of the price when you check with them...supposedly following the principle that you might be calling from some other dealer (though, I believe there is enough way to find out a serious buyer...) which doesnt make sense to me though....After some initial discussions, I went to them, with the intention of proceeding with the next steps. Once the price aspect came into the picture, then they started bringing in one person after the other from the Finance/Sales dept (first a gentleman named Pooya, and then, someone who is a Manager/Director...forgot his name....). Its a very old technique (of bringing one person after the other, and every time, the person tries to milk you a little more...), and the technique doesn't help; rather frustrates the customer after a point. Before arriving, as per my discussion with Sam, he had mentioned that they can always beat a price. So, I told them (and even showed them the different prices) that I got from other dealers....but they didnt believe it...!!!! On top of that, they kept saying that the price that I had was for a pre-owned car!!! Looking back, I am glad that they didnt... as I had a wonderful experience elsewhere....Sam, as a SalesPerson is very polite and helpful....but I am glad about the way everything turned out....

While I went in annoyed by a sales department issue, I will say that without doubt the Service Department, Justin, was excellent. He more than exceeded my expectations. Everyone wore masks and I felt completely safe. What I do know is next time I need an oil change I will be calling to check on their costs before taking it to where I normally go.

People have questioned why I get my car serviced there vs. a local car repair where it may be less expensive
My answer is that I do trust and respect my advisors that I have had and was once told if I get my maintenance done there on a continuous basis if something happens they are more than likely to work with me
I like the fact if they find something while getting my oil changed they till me what needs to be done right away and what can wait .
I also have always had incredible advisors and I now joke if you are my advisor plan to get promoted as several of my past advisors have including my last advisor kelvin Jones who is awesome
It s always a warm feeling when I go there and I know they will do what they can to help me

I recently spent alot of time researching my car purchase. I have to say, McDavid Honda was the most honest and straight forward place. My sales rep Sam Horton was a honest and friendly person. He made this an experience worth posting about to everyone else. I did my homework and found other dealers wouldn't honor the prices qouted to me by McDavid. Thinking the deal to be to good to be true, I found out that I had wasted my time with these other dealers. McDavids prices were accurate and never changed! I would recommend This Honda dealer to anyone that wants a friendly and Easy experience!!

My cars warranty for my battery expired in February of this year. How figure not having the money yo pay for another battery. Dylan was able to help me out. I didn't have to pay anything for the battery. I'm so blessed and grateful for his above and beyond help. Thank you Dylan for all your help

I did my first maintenance today at the Frisco location, I asked for help on some technical questions, wifi connectivity, etc, the maintenance personnel couldn't help me because didn't know how to, so they sent me to sells department where a very rude salesman refused to help me because "he was on commission" I asked for directions on what to do but he said "that David McDavid of Irving was a different identity so he wouldn't help", the promise that you buy into a David McDavid family, service, quality, is a lie. We have own Honda Pilots and Acura cars for 15 years and never experimented this poor service and is making me question my buying decisions. David McDavid you may need to learn about service from Hall Honda of Virginia, when I bought thisacar I expected support from HONDA but unfortunately I am not getting it.

My experience has not been so pleasant! The first day I filled out everything online and spoke with Sales person LaTasha and told her what I expected and answer all questions upon arrival. I was there for 3+ hours test drove a Explorer that was great for my family and basically was told the approval will go through with a 90% chance via Finance department Victor and signed all forms as if the SUV was mine including signing my trade in forms and etc. Left in my current vehicle, that now has a missing rear View mirror that was broken by whoever drove my car for the appraisal. The 2nd day more info was needed via text message and phone call by LaTasha, Victor, and Kenneth R. I sent all requested info. I then get a call from LaTasha stating to come in and I will be leaving in the car I test drive-her exact words. My family and I arrive at location just to get turned around with no SUV but a free full tank of gas in my current vehicle. By this time I feel overwhelmed, lied to, frustrated, and ready to give up! I was told not to feel that way I m approved with conditions and the bank just needed the proof to back up the approval. 3rd day, I have received a lot of false answers and the runaround. I was told several diff times of when someone will reach out to me and I never heard from anyone I always have to end up calling. Then when I finally got a call; I still didn t get a straight forward answer by this time that s all I want is the truth which I already felt like it was No. Received a text from Kenneth stating the approval is No. lol then the 4th day received a call from Victor that has now returned to work from being sick two days ago, stating that the manager is working on my file it s pending but he will keep me updated and explained why I then expressed to him about my mirror the 2nd time and express my experience. I was told a manager will reach out to me to discuss my mirror and experience. I haven t received a call yet but received an survey email to feel out, now I m here.Other than all of the confusion while at the location the staff made my family and I comfortable with popcorn, interacting, and ask if we wanted water with a smile on everyone s face.

Victor and the staff there were great!! They found what I was looking for and at a very reasonable price. They even allowed me to choose the car and terms and we went home. They did all the paperwork, which usually takes 30 minutes to an hour, that evening (without me having to be there). Victor then brought my new car, the following morning, and we spent maybe 15 minutes checking the car over and signing the paperwork. He then took the keys to my trade-in and drove it back to the dealership. The overall process was very pleasant, quick, and allowed us to be safe and social distance. I definitely recommend everyone check them out.

So you take the good and you take the bad.. I gave a 5 star review 2 weeks ago when I purchased my new 2020 Pilot. Unfortunately, the add-ons I wanted were not available and had to be ordered. About a week later, I receive a call from Arianna to schedule a time to bring the car in to have the add-ons installed. I set the appointment for 6/3/2020 @ 9am. I asked her how long it should take top which she replied about 2 hours, but scheduled it for 3 hours in case they are running undermanned that day. On 6/3, I arrived at the service department at 8:45am and was met by Collin Baker. He asked if I was staying or dropping it off. I told him I was told it would take 2-3 hours, so I will be back at that time. My kids and I went to the surrounding restaurants and retails stores to waste some time until the car was ready. We returned to the dealership at 11:50. At 12:10, I approached a service consultant as to the whereabouts of my vehicle. She made some calls and tells me that there was a mistake with the VIN number received from the sales department and they have not started on the car yet. She told me that Collin Baker (who I just found out is the Service DIRECTOR) instructed to start on my car now. I told the consultant that this was completely unacceptable and that I wanted to speak with Collin. She told me he left the building which I called her bluff and immediately told her that I just saw him walk by 5 minutes ago. She says, Yes, that was him leaving the building. I asked her why in the hell would the Service Director not call me to tell me there was a mistake and the car would not be ready? Why would he not identify the issue immediately and work to fix the problem before me waiting for 3 hours? She did not have an answer for me. I told her I want Collin in front of me in 5 minutes to answer these questions. She says that all she could do was call him on his phone. She told me that they will give me a loaner vehicle (Civic that smells like rotten feet) and they will drive my Pilot to me once it is completed. I told her that I had no other options so we would go with that. I calmed down a little but, then the consultant comes back to me with the gentleman that is going to give me the loaner. The gentlemen says, all i need is your credit card so I can put a deposit down for damages. Well I lost my SH** again saying they will not get my card, will not get my license and to drop the bullSH** and just give me my vehicle back. She then tells the gentlemen to just get keys to a car and give it to me. About 5 minutes later, I am walking with my kids to the loaner. As I get in the car, Collin shows up in the bay. I get out of the vehicle and approach him. He turns to me and just says, I am sorry for the issues. So I asked him, why in the hell a person with Director in his title would not identify there was a problem and fix it immediately? He then says to me. I didn't know you had been waiting in our waiting room or I would have called. I said, that is BS, if you knew there was a problem with the VIN, then why didn't you address it immediately and get the service done? He stares at me.. I then said, nobody did a damn thing about my vehicle until I asked the consultant where my car was, then all of a sudden , people started jumping into action. I said, I had an appointment at 9am. I dropped it off 15 minutes early. At 9am, when they began working, they should have identified the issue then and someone should have called or you as the DIRECTOR should have addressed and resolved the issue. None of that was done. He just looked at me and behind his mask said, I'm sorry. No, here is what I am going to do to fix this, no here is what we are going to do to take care of you because of our laziness and absolutely pathetic customer service. Just I'm sorry and he walked away.

I inquired online about a New HRV EX-L and was promptly contacted by their online sales consultant, Maggie. After setting up an appointment for the next day, I had a new car in no time at all. Maggie and the rest of the sales team bent over backwards to work with me on a fair price for my trade-in as well as for the new car. They were accomdating and professional in answering all my questions. I did not feel rushed or pressured at all. Very positive experience.

This dealership gave me the best car buying experience I have ever had. I was greeted promptly by Brad Dechent and the service just got better from there. Everyone is very friendly and it is a welcoming environment. They were extremely busy due to memorial day weekend but Brad was calm and did not rush any of my decisions at all. He even went as far to buy lunch for my father and I since it was around lunch time. It was the easiest and smooth car purchase I have made and I am glad I went there. I couldn't be more confident in my purchase. I would recommend this dealership to anyone and if you want a great salesman ask for Brad you won't regret it.

Stay away! It s always something with this dealer. I have been leasing a Honda since 2016. The first few regular maintenance visits were great, but as time went on it became more of a painful process. My visit on 10/22/18 was probably the absolute worst. After I arrive for my oil change and inspection I proceeded to wait for work to be completed. The work was completed in about 45 minutes. The advisor came to tell me that my car was ready and pointed to a car outside. The car was not mine...
Second, the advisor tells me both my air filters are in poor shape . I then ask, how old does the air filter say or appear to be? He tells me that it is the original and that they have verified that in their systems. However, I explained that I changed the air filters in July and have pictures and dates to prove it. The advisor says, oh well anyway they said it s dirty .
Third, I had a new tire replacement in August and when that was completed by another company, all my tires were rotated. The advisor says they haven t seen my tires rotated in months...but offered to add the paid service.
In summary, I highly recommend going to another dealer. The nickel and dime aspect gets old. It s from each of the advisors. I have had several and each one seems to be confused on what my lease package includes

We have now purchased 4 cars from David McDavid Honda and I can comfortably say as enticing sometimes as other brands are, this is the only dealership we purchase cars from. Eleven months ago I decided to trade in a car that was already paid for in exchange for one with a lease. Prior to talking with Lou Brockman I was convinced that my car that I owned cost me less than having a lease. However, when he showed me the cost of repairs on my vehicle and that I was still driving around in a ten year old car I began to do more research. I found that with a new civic I'd get twice the mileage as I was getting in the old van. So money that I was previously spending on gas was now paying for the car instead!
When I went in to look at cars, I assumed we'd just hit the lot and pick something out. Lou sat with me and my wife and listened to our short and long term plans for what cars made the most sense for us. He helped us come up with a strategy to get to that goal and then we looked at cars in the right price range to meet those needs. This overall evaluation was a tremendous benefit to feeling comfortable that we were making a decision that was right for our family.
This is the second vehicle that we have bought from David McDavid. I highly recommend that when you go in you ask to speak with Lou Brockman!

Updated review based on car buying experience - I went in today to look for a replacement for my wife s car. Despite being a repeat customer and that we were confused between moving from an accord to crv, we were told that we could only see 2 models. They were not looking to understand the buyers need for making a decision as they are only interested in customers buying vehicles today. The rudeness left us shocked and we are now going to look at other Honda places which will help us make a happy decision.
Only service - Dropped my car, got all my issues taken care of and got a call that it was ready to pick up. It was really easy and convenient.

I worked with Ryan C. to purchase a new HR-V. The whole process was simple, not pushy, and clear. I have a lot of faith in Honda as a brand so my anxieties about car purchasing centers primarily around the dealership. I left thinking that whenever I'm ready for my next new car (which will likely be in 8+ years), I'd go back to David McDavid. I'd even go back to give their service department a try. From the time I first walked through the door, I felt like what I wanted was important. Camden took the time to listen to my needs and what I wanted to do. It was set up simply and quickly, and things came together with a minimal amount of effort. The day we picked up my wife's Civic, I was to pick up a used vehicle also. After deciding not to, Camden again took the time to help me work through other options until I decided to also get a FIT for myself. Camden working in conjunction with Taylor made sure that sitting down with Taylor helped my time with him to be minimal when signing off on the contracts. Taylor's knowledge and expertise made the experience informed and easy. I can't thank them both enough. Dropping off the vehicle was fine, and pretty well done. The challenge was picking up the vehicle. 1) The charges were incorrect as the website quoted one thing and the invoice showed a different price. The adjustment was made though quickly with no hassle. 2) It took them 25 minutes to find my car. I was in a hurry, and ended up being late to the event because they were not able to find my car. We were asked to go and look in the parking lot to find my own car, and given someone else's keys to see if it was my car. It was an awful experience, and really tainted my ability to come to that location again.

I was going to go with carmax no haggle route because it seemed a lot simpler but thought I would try the internet path and I am very glad I did.
I was very firm and clear in my communications with Kieth Burr and of four dealers I sent request for info. to Keith was the only one to respond promptly. He handled everything I asked of him very professionally and really cared about getting me the vehicle that I wanted at the price I wanted. This place is #1 for a reason, its guys like Kieth Burr, thanks man.
P.S. I did not have to actually talk to anyone until I picked the vehicle up!!

Megan was very helpful in seeing that my car was inspected. Having to get two new tires was an unwelcome surprise. No offense but dealership tires are much higher than other stores. It s very hard when you re on a limited income. Plus changing the oil etc is also much higher. I like your service and the helpful employees but those type service prices will probably force me to get them done elsewhere. My family was upset with me as they said dealerships have a reputation for being higher. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my feelings. Jimmie McInnis
