Top inverters, which you can overdype with handy. Beautiful appliances. More expensive than other brands but much better in terms of quality. They last a very long time and get a lot of hours at full power.
Top material and service. A dream for every installer who takes his work and customers seriously.
The app is horrendous. And the support is unexistent. German quality is not what it used to be.
THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE = WORTHLESS ... SERVICE = 0.0000 ... WAIT FOR 10 MIN ... NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. THE TAPE JUST CONTINUES TO PLAY ... CONTINUE AS FURTHER I WOULD SAY ... SELLING IS PLEASED BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE THEN IT SHOULD NOT BE EXPECTED ... VERY MUCH REGRET OF BUYING SMA INVERTER !!!!
Bought 2 SMA inverters in the sommer of 2013. SMA says that the live time of an inverter is 10 till 15 years but in april 2019 one broke just a few months after the warranty period. You can not buy spare parts of an SMA inverter and SMA does not give any leniency. When you E-Mail SMA it takes a lot of time before they answer. Their answers are misleading, unclear and it is not possible to reply to their E-Mails. SMA is very customer unfriendly and I advice no one to buy anything from them.

Whether you are an individual or an installer, the telephone service is deplorable. Even the installer must repeat several times before joining them for insufficient guidance.
Warranty issues are usually deliberate or unintentional errors by installers

I tought SMA was one of the best inverters, but I was totaly wrong. Both the app and the website are so bad when you compare to others. Data only gets loaded every two hours, so you can t even see anything in real time. Website also fails a lot.
Conclusion: if you d like to monitor everything with a good app, than don t but an SMA...
Crappy service. Inverter complaints for over 3 months. Would be replaced. Still not happening. Consciously chose not a Chinese inverter because service would be good. Well not so.
My experiences with SMA inverters have been positive. They do their thing and are whisper quiet. Unlike my Diehl inverter that can make a lot of noise sometimes. As far as SMA Benelux is concerned, I have always been well helped. SunnyBoy 4000 of 5 years old, without problems and already 25 MWh on the clock.
Terrible business. Never pick up the phone. After half an hour of waiting the connection is broken. Make sure you never need these people!

You take a 10-year warranty through an SMA installer. Inverter breaks down after 9 years. You have an invoice that literally states that you have taken the 10-year guarantee option. But they refuse to do anything for us!
Never work with it, you can't trust it! We go to solar edge or something else, but certainly no more SMA for us!
No support! Have a look at the internet, they said .... 0.0 service! This was the last inverter I installed!
