I recently dropped my car off at David McDavid Honda in Frisco and had a fantastic experience with the service department. Not only was the service quick and thorough but the representative Matt Bryan was truly informative about preventative maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle. Honestly, in the auto industry I am sometimes skeptical about being misguided and misinformed but Matt is a genuine person that truly cares about the customer. I will most certainly go back to David McDavid and use Matt Bryan as my point of contact professional for all of my auto needs.

I always have a great experience at David McDavid Honda of Frisco. Every time I come here I know my car will be taken care of and I will be treated well.

I would have given 5 stars, but on Thursday when I took my car in the attendant that first assisted me did not seem to care about my needs or questions that I had. He spoke to me in a rude and condescending tone. I was given "wrong" information from another service tech about my Honda extended warranty is what this individual said. Then he said he would "look into it" I never received the answers to any of my questions, honestly i just didn't want to ask again because i didn't want to deal with him. Then when i assumed that my car was ready since he looked me right in the eye and said ready i walked up to the counter. I understand this was a miscommunication and he was speaking to someone else. When i asked the status of my car he said "no not your care i said so and so's name. " and just sat there and stared at me.

I understand we have our off days, but every time I come into Honda I am given a to notch 5 star experience. This gentleman ruined my visit this time.

Tim Tran was the one that processed my payment and made sure everything was done. He is always a great resource and always extremely helpful.

Update: I just update my rating to 0. I just wanted 1 hour to get a simple form to cancel my warranty. I was told that I would receive an email with this form from finance but never received it. I then walked into the dealership thinking I can get out ahead and sign and just drop it off. I waited for a full hour waiting in the showroom. The front desk attendent Paged finance 3 times with no answer. I was polite and never raised my voice. I asked to speak to someone in finance once more. She finally found someone (Roy?) and he was extremely disinterested and never introduced himself or apologized. I was so angry with the disrespect I received as a customer. I will never buy a car from this dealership. I will advised against all my family and friends to ever spend a penny at this establishment.

I had financed a used, title clean car from David McDavid Honda of Frisco. As I'm driving the car for a couple of days, I've noticed that the vehicle's hood would move a lot while driving. I took the car to the service department to get it checked out. A week passes, no call or email explaining what's going on with the vehicle. It took the service department a month to explain the car had been in an accident before! I wasn't going to have a vehicle that's been in an accident before because that's not what I'm paying for. They offer me a loaner car. The car has no A/C!! I call them and explain the car has no A/C, and they wanted me to wait a couple of days while they founded a loaner car to drive. This was in August, and let me remind y'all in August, the temperature was passed 100 degrees. The service director wasn't able to figure out a solution for me; all he wanted me to do was wait.
I understand things happen, but I just wanted to get a new car that was title clean. After a month of waiting, I was fed up and emailed the Honda manager, and they were finally able to get me a new car. My items that were in the car that had been in an accident before were stolen in the McDavid Honda of Frisco, and no one can explain to me what happened to them even though I've already emailed the service director. The person I'm incredibly unsatisfied with is the service director at David McDavid Honda Frisco. I'm incredibly disappointed by everyone there except for the sales representative. He understood my frustration and was able to make things much better. Overall, painful experience.

Great service place. Jeff Harris is an honest guy who goes out of the way to make sure all things are taken care. He provides detail answers to questions, even takes you back to show the damage and honors his appointment time.

We had such a great experience buying our Honda CR-V from James Brown at David McDavid Honda of Frisco, that a few years later we bought another Honda from James. This time we bought a 2018 Honda Pilot touring edition and just like our first experience with James, he knew every feature and detail about the car. James' service remained top notch and was even able to get us 0.9% interest rate by financing through Honda. He killed the rate provided by our bank and is saving us over $5,700 in interest over the term of the loan. Thanks again, James!!!

I showed up on a Saturday without appointment since I had a Honda Maintenance plan with David McDavid at Frisco. But they were very busy and had 170+ appointments. Thought of revisiting next time with appointment but my Service Advisor Andy Ly, checked the vehicle records and assured to get the work done before the end of the day. Had to do regular service, state inspection and a Honda factory recall. All this was done on time with a complimentary car-wash. Great service and they offer drop-off/pickup to your home within the 10 mile radius.

Lack of product knowledge and shifty about the price. The salesman was almost like a stand-in. His excuse for not knowing a lot about the other Odyssey models was that he dealt mainly with the Touring model. He offers to take $100 of MSRP. His boss then comes and gives me his final best price which is way above Edmunds . He then said that if somebody gives a better price that he would match it!! The sad part is that he couldn't tell me why I should come back to him if the other dealer was giving the better price first.

I recently purchased my first Honda vehicle and selecting dealership was no brainer when it came to David McDavid Honda of Frisco. The entire purchasing process was smooth and my agent Gary Abbe took good care of me as a customer. He was patient professional and attentive to my concerns. They really care about their customer satisfaction and go above and beyond. The best part is that they conduct new buyer education program where service manager train and educate buyer on their vehicles about servicing, maintenance etc. I would definitely recommend this dealership for anyone looking for new/pre-owner Honda vehicles.

After trying every tactic to get me to come into the dealership (I m in the industry, I know why they want me face to face), here is the hilarious response I get. If you know anything about F&I or car sales, you know this is bad business.

thank you for responding. Here at McDaivd in Frisco we became #1 Honda dealer in Texas by selling our Honda's for less. To guarantee this, we ask that the buyer bring their best quote---we simply beat that price & sell our Honda for less. If you do not wish to save money by purchasing your new Honda the way I am required to sell it, then you can purchase from the dealer you prefer and pay more for your Honda.

Fair to good car deal, but they must make there money on the service department. First service done at dealership fluids were not topped off like indicated on paperwork so it made question if anything that was checked off on service was actually done... received free oil change for inconvience. So last service recommended both air filters to be changed, we declined and after that I replaced myself. Go back in for service and they tell us both filters are red need immediate attention, I guees they seen it wasn t replaced last service, but did not look to see that it was replaced between oil changes less than 5k miles!!! Service department seems to be a rip off. Will not be going back I even took filters out took picture of engine air filter and a few dry leaves fell off cabin air filter when that was taken out to check... should not have service done at a professional establishment and have to go home and check everything! Glad my wife asks if she should get service done before accepting the charges.

I a word, my experience at McDavid-Frisco was Great! I have recently had credit issues. When I initially went to the dealership, I met with Seth Baker in the finance dept. We discussed my situation and he was very encouraging. The vehicle that I wanted was actually at McDavid Acura in Plano. Seth referred me to Maggie in the used car dept. She was also very encouraging and soon brought the car from Plano to Frisco. The transaction was completed quickly and my credit situation was not an obstacle for Maggie or Seth. Both went above and beyond to make sure that I was able to have this vehicle. I cannot say enough about this truly wonderful experience!

Got 2 brand new Honda Civic 2017 in one week. After a while I came to know that my parents want to come and visit us so we thought it would be better if we give back one civic and get a CR-V instead. So, went back after couple of weeks with a hope to exchange; spoke to the sales rep and some finance staff, I told them I can do $5000 cash down payment and go up to $400 monthly payments; either for leasing or buying a CR-V and give back one Civic. The answer was BIG NO. Very rude behaviours. After coming home broken heart, the same day we got an email from David Mcdavid, Irving for some $5000 discount on all CRVs. I immediately contacted Honda, Frisco; no one really cared. Someone called me from their PR department and I told about all these, nothing happened. Also we suddenly got a letter from Honda Finance that our payment is delayed and there is a late fee. When we signed all the papers in their office, we were been told auto pay is been set up. But that was a lie. I was suppose to come back with my sister in law as she wants to buy a new car; but hell NO. Not going back to that place again. I would advice my friends and families not to go to that shop. They are very nice when you agree with them and give all your money the way they want, but they show their true colours when you think they will help you and you are in need of some conscience. Even if you have $5000 cash and a budget of $400 per month to pay. Stay Away.

I needed to go car shopping. I started at David McDavid Honda due to their incredible service department. I had intended to go to various Honda dealers in the DFW metroplex. But Zia Zaidi made me feel at home from the moment that I walked toward the door, even before I walked inside the showroom.
His professionalism and incredible attitude convinced me to purchase my car from David McDavid immediately, without going to other dealers.

Once again, Matt Kail at David McDavid Honda of Frisco provided service way above and beyond my expectations. I am alone at home recovering from a large, difficult surgery, and my HR-V failed to start. Without my having to ask, Matt immediately sent a technician who jumped my vehicle and drove it to the dealership, where Matt personally oversaw the evaluation to determine why my battery failed for the third time in less than a year. He ultimately replaced the battery and delivered the vehicle back to me. All of it was covered under warranty, without any effort on my part. I ve owned several Hondas over many years and have worked with many service advisors at multiple dealerships in 3 states, and have become accustomed to a very high level of service. None, however, have even come close to the level of personalized, professional care that Matt provides. He has been overseeing the service of 3 of my vehicles over 14 years, and he never fails to meet and exceed my hopes and expectations. For this most recent experience, I am profoundly grateful. This is a superior Honda dealership that provides service that is second to none. Thank you, Matt!!

2 1/2 hours for a simple oil change when they told me 45 minutes when I was written-up. Asked the gentleman who wrote me up about the delay and gave me a BS excuse. Dishonest and rude service. Greg recently helped us get our car fixed. He identified additional service that was needed but didn't pressure us in any way. I have always received great customer service and consistent quality repairs from Honda of Frisco. That is why we drive 1 hour for all of our major service repairs and will continue to buy from Honda when we decide we want a new car.

I wasn t in the market for a car until mine gave up the ghost. I had to purchase very a car quickly. McDavid Honda was the first place I went. Michael Baker, Sergei Medushevski and Scott Mazur were great and very kind and very helpful in helping me find the right car for me. The people in the used car office and Jon in finance were also very helpful and easy to work with.
In the past 4 months since buying my car I needed to get my tires checked. This is when I met Sonia Heredia , Arij Flirczak, Erick Delgado and David who all took such good care of me and was devoted to seeing that my needs were met! They gave me more than what I needed with 4 brand new tires at no cost to me.
Thank you all so very much!! If you re looking for people who are happy to work for a company that cares for their customers then you have found your place!

I bought a new CRV that apparently had bad wiper blades. I found this out after using them during the first rain after purchasing the auto. I contacted the service dept and they replaced them for me while I waited. Julian was very helpful and quite on the ball for this service.

Worst at service. Just had to check wheel alignment. I was 20 min early from my appointment time. Took the car and had tile me, in worst case will take 2 hours. Took two hours. I don't know what tests they run for 2 hours in the tires. That's insane..Didn't hear anything from service guy. Comes to me 20 minutes after I ask for an update. Said will take 10 min. Waited here for over 3 hours for just 10 min work that they had to do.. I would definitely give 0 score to the service guy. He has no passion or better communication ability with a customer.. I had a same guy couple of months back. He didn't even know if I've a free service or not.

McDavid Honda of Frisco is awesome. The service advisor was Ivan Mendoza. He was young and instantaneous. Even though for every question he was going to get the answer, he was actually getting the best possible answer. The Sales Manager is very courteous unlike the Toyota Of Plano one.
I could close the sale without any hesitation. The after sale support was awesome. I got all the issues addressed to the point and quickly.
I definitely recommend this place. Go find an advisor and buy your car.

I wont ever bash any one person for having a higher review than mine, as everyone's experience was probably different.

I purchased a vehicle from the dealership Dec 2018. The complete process was terrible, our salesman (who will remain nameless) was ALL over the place. The back and forth was god awful, as I laid out a competitors pricing, and the salesman said not only could they match it, they would beat it by $500. That was a joke! The pricing he quoted us, was not being honored AFTER they pulled my credit and I advised them we had a deal. I was obviously upset, so much so, the GM had to come down and visit with us. We ultimately got the car, but beware of the back & forth plus the sneaky bait and switch sales practices.

Some will ask why you didn't go to another dealer?? We wanted a Hybrid and this was the only dealership remotely close to us that had anything worth looking at. Some will ask about the other dealership deal??? Yes! We had one, but the car was not the trim level we wanted nor color.

To continue, the car detail process was rushed. I had tons of glue on my paint, and the interior wasn't really cleaned. I still have tons of scratches and swirl marks on my paint, due to terrible detailing work. I will have to invest for a paint correction/restoration, as I do not want to be fined when the car is returned. I really wish the dealership would take care of this, as the salesman mentioned it would.

To continue, the tint has started to peel off on three windows. I have made many attempts to meet with the dealer rep to replace my tint. She wants me to come in during the working week to accommodate her schedule. I asked if anything can be done on the weekends, and we keep getting dates cancelled due to cold, or time, etc... and she hasn't called me back for ANY follow up.

To continue, I asked our salesman to mail the plates to our house, as we do not want to visit this dealership unless we ultimately have too. Since I am 8 days from my plates expiring, I just called to follow up. The phone rang and rang and finally someone in sales answered. Explained my story and I was transferred to the receptionist. The phone rang and rang, and someone else in sales answered. Transferred me somewhere else. By this time I was transferred four times with no solution. Jumped on the website and started a chat. After the chat I had faith that the person I was speaking with would understand, and get me in touch with someone to assist. Took down my number and said someone would call. Wouldn't you know, a salesman called looking to sell me a car!!!! Like what the actual... I cannot for the life of me understand how this massive dealership is rated #1 in Texas, treats people this way.

One positive was the gentleman we worked with to sign all our paperwork. He was extremely pleasant.

I WOULD NOT recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase/lease a vehicle in the state of Texas. If no other dealers have what you're looking for, go out of state!

Well.... visit started with us looking at a particular vehicle, only to have some manager slap a price on the car, which was $1800 more than it was listed online. That was discouraging, but our salesman ensured us that we would negotiate from the price listed online. Car looked great and we ended up negotiating a reasonable price with the condition that the alignment be checked and fixed... OVER A WEEK LATER.... the alignment has not been properly fixed, your dealership still has the vehicle, we have received little to no correspondence from the dealership (sales or service) regarding what has been done to try to fix the issue.... oh, and yes - I still don't have my vehicle. Y'all are about to wind up on Yelp's and Google Map's "worst of the worst" list... again. :(

I am tired of people telling me something to get a deal closed and then not properly following through. If y'all never intended to fix this properly, or didn't think you could - that's fine - but that WAS a condition of the sale. Ron Jackson? (used sales manager) ensured me that this would be taken care of... Julian in service echoed that - and yet - here we are... not fixed right and you still have my car. :( I am thoroughly disappointed. A fix to the problem is literally all it would take to turn this entire experience around. Please resolve.

David McDavid Honda of Frisco is a great place to have your Honda serviced. Then sent me an email and I contacted them for an appointment. I was assigned Andy Ly as my service advisor and he was OUTSTANDING. I was taken to work and then Andy called me after they looked at my car and gave me a breakdown of what needed to be done along with an estimate. Work was done on time and was picked up at work and brought back to dealership.

The sales consultant Faris Farris emailed/called me with an offer. After spending couple of hours at the dealership, I got to know that what was told to me was vague and not clear at all.

They also did hard inquiry on my credit score even when I did not permit them to - they told it would be soft inquiry. And that too when I did not show any interest in moving forward with buying the car. Moreover, the sales consultant himself said it won't be hard inquiry unless I understand the offer numbers and then permit them to move forward.

I recently purchased my first Certified Pre-Owned car and Keith Burr was the friendliest and most knowledgeable representative that I've ever encountered. He walked me through the entire process and easily answered every question I had for him. I scheduled for my car to get serviced and it took 2 1/2 hours. I know typically it take about an hour or so I get that but people came before me and left before me. I was told that the service dept only had 4 people working and another had gone home. It s very frustrating to go to car dealerships!

Originally posted 3/29/19: Unfortunately my experience here last Friday (3/22/19) was pretty bad for a few reasons. I brought in my vehicle per a recall notice. I arrived at 10:30 and said I needed their Lyft service to take me to an appointment at 11, and the salesman said no problem. However, he went on a test drive with another customer and never ordered the Lyft. 10 minutes later when I tried to find out what the status was, no one could find him, so I asked another salesman to help me order the ride. Meanwhile the first salesman returned, and he and the second salesman kept passing the buck, saying the other was going to order the ride. I had to keep asking which of them was ordering the ride and finally by 11 (the time I was supposed to be at my appointment), they realized neither was going to do it, so gave me a backup shuttle driver. They made me 20 minutes late to my appointment. On my return trip, the first salesman I contacted had a Lyft ready for me in 3 minutes to take me back to the dealership, so I don't know why it was such a hassle the first time around.

After they did the recall work, they said they were going to wash my car and bring it out to me. I'm not sure what type of car wash it was, but it not only still had bird poop on it in 3 different places when it was delivered to me, one of the roof trim moldings had been ripped halfway out and astonishingly was left dangling over the side of the car. I pointed this out and the salesman said they would order me a new one. He assured me that it would arrive on Monday and that they would contact me when it arrived. A week has gone by and I haven't heard a thing, except for a text survey I received last Saturday. They asked me how I would rate my experience on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being excellent), and at that time I responded with a "2". They did not ask me any follow-up questions.

The whole experience: 1) promising me multiple times a Lyft ride but no follow-through; 2) returning to me a dirty car with damage that was overlooked by them; 3) asking me to rate my experience with no follow-up to my poor rating; 4) and now finally, not following through with the promise to replace my roof trim molding, all spoke to having no genuine concern for the customer. The salesman smiled at me and pretended to act with concern throughout the whole experience, but his actions showed the opposite. That is why I feel compelled to give this place a 1-star rating.

I have recently brought my first car here and I can say I had a great experience with everyone that helped me out making this whole process so easy and comforting. I felt I was treated with the upmost respect by Shahrooz and Carl. Shahrooz was very helpful in explaining the whole process and breaking it down to help understand it all from that point and how to handle it in the future. What a terrific buying experience! The salesman, Jace Pursley, was outstanding! He gave a great presentation, went through all of the features, and explained all of the benefits. I had no idea how much new technology was on the Accord. I will definitely send him my referrals. The dealership was clean and bright--enjoyed the delivery area. Finance manager was professional with lots of personality. The service department was very friendly and helpful. Got my new wheels installed right on schedule. Being 90 miles away, it was worth the trip!

UPDATE: Maggie Bartram still rocks. I'd have to say that finance and all associated with it do not follow suit. I have been waiting MONTHS for things to be handled and it has gotten extremely unprofessional. Things continue to fall through the cracks and I'm starting to believe that all the folks care about is their customer service rating.

We all know the dreaded feeling of walking into a dealership. That feeling of vulnerability and "here we go". Well, David McDavid Honda of Frisco really did its best to avoid any of those feelings and we walked out satisfied and happy with the deal that was made. Maggie Bartram's personality and expertise was wonderful and made negotiations respectful and effective. Every professional we engaged with was easy to work with and this being on a busy Saturday. Great dealership! We plan to do business again in the future and are very pleased!

Let me tell you about my experience here at Honda of Frisco, it will be worth it. I wrecked my car and was without a car for about a week. Saw a Nissan Rogue online that I thought I liked next door to Frisco Honda. I went to the Nissan dealership and had horrible service. I walked out just minutes after test driving the car and thought I wasted my time and gas going all the way from Lancaster, TX to Frisco, TX. I saw Honda next door. I really did not consider getting a Honda. I was however, familiar with the Honda Accord and the Honda CR-V since my mother-in-law drove both vehicles. As soon as I set foot on the lot I went straight to the parking lot to view the cars instead of going inside and asking for help. It was a very hot day that day and Gary Abbe came out and offered my husband and I a bottled water and gave us some information. He offered to take us inside to cool off and enjoy the refreshments they were giving away. I only thought I could afford a used car. Gary and his manager offered me a new CR-V with literally 3 miles on it. I got a very good deal and I am making my payments on time with no struggle. When I said yes to the deal I thought to myself that we would be there all day long for paperwork. Well I thought wrong. We were only there a little over 2 hours. That is not bad at all for getting a new car and negotiating and signing the paperwork and driving off in your new car. Everyone was extremely nice and it was not a "let me make a deal with a fake smile" type of environment. These people genuinely care about your payments, how comfortable you are in the car and etc. It does not stop there though. After making my purchase I thought okay I will never see or talk to these people again especially since I live far. WRONG! I have emailed Gary and asked him a few questions about the car since I never had a Honda before and he responded with no hesitation. So thank you Honda of Frisco, for my family car and your outstanding customer service. I let everyone I know who compliments my car where I got it from and the good deal I got. As a customer, we want the best deal available. It's not new.
Not once, twice, but three times came here with my family and went home empty handed after the deal that we agreed on. Miscommunication one after another, he said she said. What we agreed, what we discussed, nothing matters. They will try to back out from the deal that they agreed on (especially over the phone deals). Their games: cars in the lot vs. incoming cars, car with certain color, that particular car is sold, one of the managers has the key to that particular cars, cars accessories/add-on.
