Having been an HVAC tech I would have replaced the furnace myself. However do to an injury I was unable. The crew did a fantastic job. I was expecting to find some things I would have done differently, but much to by pleasant surprise they did exactly as I would have. If they can please a fellow tech they will easily satisfy the general customer. I highly recommend them.

I just recently replaced my furnace and air conditioner. Ryan and Bolton were the installers. They arrived 8:00 am and worked throughout the day and completed the install by 4:30. I am so pleased with my new equipment and great job both Ryan and Bolton completed. They placed cloths down to protect carpeting and stairs. Both even wore cloth booties over their shoes. They explained the install process and the operation of the new equipment and answered all questions. I could not be happier with making the decision of choosing Custom Air.

Custom Air replaced our furnace (not an emergency repair). The salesperson was knowledgeable and answered all of my technical questions without pressure or upselling. The installation crew arrived within two days (but our upgrade was not an emergency job, I m sure they would have arrived sooner if we needed them). The installation crew - Justin and Ryan - were on-time and extremely professional. I plan to use Custom Air in the future and highly recommend their services.

CA techs have been servicing my home long before I lived here. I have a 40 yr old home that I moved into 2 years ago. I met one CA employee who helped with the original install. History and experience like that create an invaluable wealth of knowledge that you can trust and rely on.

One of the two heat pumps at my property was developing a terminal malfunction shortly after we moved in. It was a 10yr old unit with a warranty about to expire. Made more sense to buy a new model. Replaced it with a top model Trane unit but the defrost module kept malfunctioning. CA installers and techs worked tirelessly on multiple occasions to troubleshoot the problem. After 4 module replacements over a 2 month period, and a nearly $1300 electric bill (jan-feb '18) due to the malfunctioning pump unit, Trane was contacted and it was determined that there was an incompatibility with the older air handler to which the new unit was paired. CA management came to my house and explained in person how the situation was going to be remedied. CA installed a new air handler and even worked with Trane to recoup the majority of the unnecessarily expensive heating bill. I can't thank them enough for turning a bad situation into a really positive experience.

These guys are a class act. Very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful when on homeowners' premises. I would recommend them to anyone.

After working out the details of our proposed system with Kyle Kidd, Jake R. and Mike F. arrived on time on a day I took off from work to be on hand as our new HVAC system was installed. They had with them all needed items for us, which they installed with skill and competence. Each was polite and very professional, told me what to expect from the outset, then delivered on those expectations. During their time spent in my home, they took opportunity to go over new equipment and offer tips to getting the best use from it.

An issue of thermostat compatibility came up. Former Service Rep. Chris stopped by to assist. Decision was made to swap mine with one that was on the truck, required due to multiple stages of heat and AC. End result was, as the gentlemen concluded their day, I had fully functioning heat and air conditioning. All at Custom Air have been great to work with and our system, through both cooling and heating seasons, has functioned well and is saving us energy costs. I highly endorse these people and this business!

I had a really great experience with Scott from Custom Air. He really took the time to understand the needs of our house. He wasn't pushy, but provided excellent advice and service. During the installation, they ran into a couple snags with our house being as old as it is, but found solutions and never charged us a cent more. Since the installation a few months ago, everything has run smoothly and we are very pleased with our new AC, furnace, AND water heater! Highly recommend!

Great customer experience - quality service technicians!

I was upgrading my current heating and airconditioning system and contacted several companies. I decided on Custom Air as they were very honest and explained all aspects of the systems. I received a Military discount, which was a plus!!! I chose a Goodman complete system for the warrenty and price.The installers Jake R and Justin K were very polite,answered questions,worked with attention to detail and cleaned and removed all debris. I would recommend this company highly !!!!!

Great experience, very competent and efficient installers and quality equipment

A representative named Scott came into our workplace to fix an HVAC unit that wasn't working properly. We work with adults with developmental disabilities and we have a trained service dog that works with our individuals in our facility. Upon entering our building and seeing the dog, Scott aggressively ordered our staff who were in the middle of working with our individuals to "remove the dog and secure it in another room". Our staff complied and went to inform me as I am one of the owners and happened to be at that location at the time. I went to find Scott to talk to him to explain that our dog is a working service dog and needs to be with the individuals, in the process I received an important work call that I had to take. I had the service dog with me at the time in a room separate from the Scott. Scott walked over to the doorway from the other room and yelled in at me while I was on the work call, "That dog needs to be secured somewhere!". I yelled back that I was on a work call and I would speak to him in a minute. After my work call I called his supervisor, Randy, to express my concerns for the lack of professionalism that Scott displayed and to let him know how disruptive he was being. I also explained that Service Dogs legally can be where they need to be, especially in our place of business and that a representative from Custom Air should not be coming into our place of business and dictating to us how to handle our Service Dog, especially in the manner in which he did. Randy's response was, "I don't know what the difference is between a regular dog and a Service Dog" and said he would address the situation. I asked that he follow up with me after he did so.
Randy's idea of handling the situation was to talk to Scott on the phone. Randy called me back and literally told me that he handled it by telling Scott, "to be nice." Scott came back into the building to give me the estimate and never once apologized for his behavior.
Very disappointed at the lack of professionalism and the level of disruption company caused at our organization. Hopefully the owner, Pat Halaiko, still is involved with his company and addresses these employees properly.
UPDATE: Pat called me the next day and assured me that the issue would be addressed. He is going to train is staff on Service Dogs and how to handle those situations moving forward. I appreciate that he takes customer service so seriously. I feel confident that he will work with his staff to make sure it is better moving forward. We will use them again.

Custom Air was on time and showed they care by wearing a mask and gloves into my home and also social distancing.

Our maintenance tech(Tim) was very nice and knowledgeable. Gave us straight answers and didn t push us to purchase anything.

Also, I would like to thank Pete Bonzo for assuring me everyone at Custom Air is honest. He is 100% right!

My furnace had been acting a little weird, inconsistent, but would turn on for short periods and then turn off. I assumed it needed cleaning because I had not done it for a few years and frankly let the filter go way too long. The house was still heating so it wasn't an emergency. I Looked up reviews on yelp and emailed Custom Air before I went to work in the morning, by the time I got to work they had already emailed me back with pricing. I gave them a call and they said they would come out same day! Wonderful!
The technician was kind and went right to work. I could tell that after he worked on it, it still wasn't working right. He had to give me bad news I needed a new gas value, there wasn't any other issue with the furnace but it wasn't working consistently after many tries. Not an inexpensive thing..$700+. I held back tears, money is tight and that was not what I was expecting. I could tell he also felt bad about it. But he talked to be about it and explained what was happening, as we talked I mentioned I was having a water heater issue as well. He asked what was happening. I explained the pilot light won't stay lit, he immediately went to my gas stove and tried the burners. Then went back into the basement looked at my gas meter, he said, 'call the gas company right away, I think you need a new gas meter.'
What?! He said it sounds like you aren't getting enough gas to the house to fuel all your appliances, so he left me with the estimate and said to call them if the gas company didn't solve the issue.
I called they gas company, they were at my house within 20 mins. They took one look at my meter and said, 'yep, you need a new meter. We will have it done in 1/2hr, free of charge.'
WOW! WOW!
I will wrap this up with Custom Air is HONEST!!!! They could have charged me for a part I didn't need, but they took the time to talk to me and understand what was going on. They were not in a rush to hand me a bill and walk away. They have gained a loyal customer!!! Sorry for the long review, but they are wonderful! 100% recommended.

Custom Air installed new furnaces and new Navion tankless water heaters in our 100+ year old, two unit rental property at THE OSU. All work was completed in a timely manner at the agreed price. I've been run around by other contractors and been left with poor work, disagreement about the scope of the contract, and construction debris to clean up. Not Custom Air; I'm confident in their work and happy with how things worked out. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Scott Wittler, a friend for over 10 years, had always talked about how much he enjoyed working for Custom Air so I thought I would set up a meeting to see about replacing a 50 + year old furnace and adding central air. Scott Haring came by explained all my options and answered all my questions. He did a great job of explaining things in simple terms that I could understand. After meeting with other companies, I choose Custom Air because of Scott's presentation and also the great price that was being offered. On installation, Justin and Bolten were on time and did a fantastic job. Went way faster than expected and they walked me thru all the work that was done. Fantastic experience. A week later, my neighbors AC went out and I had told them how great a job Custom Air did. They chose Custom Air and said they did an excellent job as well. I will sing their praises anywhere I can. Custom Air recently replaced one of our home HVAC systems with Rheem units and we are extremely satisfied. Ty Gates sold us the system and was both knowledgeable and efficient in helping us determine our needs. Mike P and Tyler Q installed the system and did an excellent job. The system is quieter and much more efficient than the 16 year old system it replaced. I have used Custom Air for years and they continue to deliver great results and service.

Our experience with Custom Air was exceptional! We bought a house with an old furnace and A/C. The furnace was making a loud noise, so we called an HVAC company. We were told to just replace the furnace. I called Custom Air to get a second quote. Well, Custom Air diagnosed a problem with our cold air returns (we only had one small cold air return). They sent their remodeling professional to our house and worked up a very smart, efficient plan to install cold air returns into our existing home. I called four other HVAC companies and none of them diagnosed the cold air return issue.

Ultimately, we hired Custom Air and I could not be happier with our decision! They installed the new returns in two days, and the new furnace and A/C unit on a third day. Their installers were fast, professional, and friendly! I highly recommend Custom Air for your HVAC needs!

Credit must be given to Scott Haring the salesman who diagnosed the cold air return problem. If another company would have installed a new furnace without fixing our returns, that furnace would have been starved for air and would not have operated with any longevity.

We needed a new AC & furnace. I spoke to Bonnie at Custom Air. She was very pleasant to speak to and she scheduled an appointment at a time that worked for me with Scott G to come out and give me an estimate. Scott arrived on time and was great to work with. He listened to what I was looking for and provided me with pricing of several options. No high pressure sales just solid options in a price range that worked for us, he even took care of the Columbia Gas rebate. Once we decided on the option he scheduled our installation date on a day that I wanted. Chris and Jake were our installers and they did a wonderful job. They put down drop clothes all through the house to keep the dirt to a minimum and got busy. They were very friendly to work with and didn't mind me hanging around. They had the old equipment out in no time and began setting the new equipment before lunch. Once everything was set they checked everything out then went over everything with the family. All of the work was completed in about 8 hours including having to run new exhaust vents for the furnace and their clean up. I don't normally like having people in to work on things in our home but everyone that I dealt with at Custom Air made this a great experience. I would highly recommend them to others.

I wanted to share my great experience with Custom Air. My 13 year old AC was dying a slow death this summer, so I decided to replace it... and MAN am I glad I did! I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to these kinds of things. I got several quotes, asked a lot of questions, did a ton of research, and throughout the entire process Custom Air stayed head and shoulders above the pack. Dave Wuelfing came out, gave me the best price up front (and ended up being the best quote too), put up with all of my questions, never pressured me, was very responsive, and even put up with me changing my mind at the last minute on which model I wanted. Robert Kendrick and Jake Riley were prompt, professional, and did a great, TIDY install (that's key - some places are sloppy!). Custom Air handled all of the city inspection paperwork, and even helped me with my Energy Savings rebate paperwork. It actually ended up being an enjoyable experience for something I don't generally enjoy (having to replace stuff around the house). I can't recommend these guys enough!

From the first phone call to Custom Air, to the sales/purchase process with Kyle Kidd, to the install by Andrew and Robert, we could not have been more pleased. We will definitely be using Custom Air for all of our heating/cooling needs. The quick response to our initial phone call that our A/C went out was unbelievable. Really happy with the whole experience of getting an entire HVAC system installed. Scott was great on the front end, no high pressure, just very informative, laid back and knowledgeable. He provided different price options and features and provided a quote that was reasonably priced and did not go over the agreed amount. As far as the installation went, Corey and Justin were fantastic, on time, friendly, very professional and got right to work. I took the day off to observe and occasionally pepper them with questions, and they both were very patient and helpful in answering them. True professionals. All three of them also were conscious of wearing masks when talking to me and were respectful of my home while in it. After the install, they both took the time to explain everything about the system and thermostat, and answering even more of my questions. They also completed the job within the time frame Scott had estimated, allowing me to plan the day. Then Mary, on the back end was also very helpful in getting my inspection with the City scheduled the next day (and passed). From beginning to end, the entire experience was wonderful, and greatly appreciated. My new system is working like a charm, just in time for August! I highly recommend Custom Air and will be using them again for another project I have in the future for sure. Thanks!

I recently had a Mitsubishi Ductless Mini-Split HVAC system installed in my workshop. Everyone involved in the process - from the salesman Chris, through Corey and Bobby who did the installation work, and the folks that did the scheduling-were all extremely easy to work with. The whole team was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Corey and Bobby took the time to explain the system operation to me, and then again to my wife. I am very pleased with the efficiency of the entire process and pleased with the equipment they installed. I'm looking forward to many years of good service from the unit. I would work with Custom Air again if the occasion arose, and feel very good about recommending them.

My air conditioning broke last fall. I decided to wait until this spring to replace it since the furnace was working. I got quotes from at least 10 companies. Custom Air's quote was the one I chose. It wasn't the cheapest but Ty (my salesperson) provided a complete and thorough estimate. He responded to all of my questions and I had many.
He provided choices for my new system and didn't push me to buy a more expensive unit.

Tyler and Cory completed the installation earlier this week. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. They were some issues with the existing furnace venting in my basement. Ty came up with a solution and Tyler and Cory did a perfect job implementing it. It looks better than I expected. Tyler and Cory showed me how to use the thermostat and gave me some pointers on the outside A/C unit.

The day after the installation, Bonnie called to make sure that I was happy with the installation (I am). When needed, I will purchase a service contract with Custom AIr. I highly recommend this company.

One of their drivers tried to cut me off and in doing so almost ran me off the road, just to get one car length ahead. No need!

We recently found ourselves in an emergency situation when it was discovered that our furnace was leaking carbon monoxide. Unfortunately it was also the morning we had a big snow storm along with frigid single digit temperatures. The team from Custom Air did not disappoint. They were able to send someone out by that afternoon and had us back up and running with a new system by Monday (which was also a holiday!) It felt good to know that our family was in good hands from start to finish thanks to Custom Air.

I had a great experience with Custom Air, from the first conversation about purchasing an a/c unit through the installation. The representative presented my options in a straightforward and honest manner. The installers were on time, kept everything tidy, and went above and beyond to make sure the installation was done right. I haven't used my a/c yet (it's 31 degrees in Columbus as I write), but I've already received a call from the company making sure everything went o.k. and providing a direct phone number to call if I need anything. This is my first experience with Custom Air, and I already feel like a valued customer!

Everyone was on time, courteous professional, and wore masks while on site. There was a problem during the initial installation which resulted in the external unit being very loud. I brought this up to the service manager who looked into it immediately. I prepared myself to hear why they were not going to be able/willing to correct the situation without much hassle. But, I was greatly surprised when they replaced the unit without my having to raise heck with them. In fact, all I had to say was that I was not happy with the unit. Ben M. took immediate steps to ensure that I was pleased and that everything was handled to my satisfaction. I honestly have to give them an A+.

Worked with custom air on my historic farm house and they did an excellent job installing two air-conditioning units and furnaces in my home allowing us to zone our home. They were quick to work with, clean and very professional!

We had quotes from different reputable hvac vendors. One was more expensive than the other two. What made the difference for us was the sales person (Pete Bonzo) and warranty on Goodman products. Pete was very professional and thorough in his quote. I never felt any high pressure sales tactics. He educated me on what he suggested. The installers were on time and, at least by my estimation, did a great job installing. The difference was quick! We had a 2 ton unit that was always struggling to keep the house cool. The other two HVAC said 2 1/2 ton would be too small and wanted 3 ton units. Well, we had a high humidity 96 and sunny day and the house stayed cool at 71. We have a AEP smart meter and I can tell by the app that we are saving 1kw when it s running and is not staying on as long. I highly recommend Custom Air based on our experiences.

Our units were old and not worth repairing anymore so it was time to replace. Called and got quotes from 5 companies. While not the cheapest, this was a fair price, best plan, and very pleasant to work with.
They consulted with me on the best machines for my lifestyle and were incredibly prompt and easy to communicate with.

Dave did a great job informing us of our options to replace the air conditioning or air conditioning and furnace. Once we made out decision it was scheduled very quickly. Gregg and Dan were the installers and they did a great job. They were great in showing me the options on the new thermostat and other areas of the HVAC. Awesome experience with Custom Air. David and Bill went above and beyond to make sure I was happy - the job was not easy either. Prices were completely fair. Couldn't be happier.

Our AC unit stopped working and Custom air was able to quickly identify the issue and resolve it. They called me back at 10p the night the unit stopped working, had a guy there by 2p the next day (were available at 9:30a but I could not get off work) and the guy was finished and leaving my driveway by 2:40p. Very professional, efficient, and customer oriented. Would highly recommend!

I haven't had any for their services, but after their service van license plate ending 75005 cut me off on 270 this morning, I don't think I will never have any for their services.

We had a new furnace and AC unit installed Ty in sales was very helpful in explaining our options and patient in answering my questions, and they quoted us the best price. Sam and Mike did a great job with the installation very courteous and cleaned up everything when they were finished, and did a good job explaining all the new features, thermostat, etc.

Custom Air services the office I work for & they're unbelievable! Most of the guys are super friendly & when they've got a break, they aren't too shy to make conversation or answer any questions we may have about their work. Jeremy (I think) usually maintenances our filters, he's a hoot! We just had them come out to do annual maintenance on our roof & a couple of us got to get to know Chad Dotter - he was amazing. He shared stories about his dogs (I love dogs, lol.) & even showed a few pictures; very personable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CUSTOM AIR WITH THEIR FANTASTIC EMPLOYEES :)

What I can I say about this company but HONEST. I have had Tim, Andy and Jack out to service my air conditioner and furnace for several years now. I have to say they treat me well, if they have to replace a part they show me the problem, explain why it needs to be replaced. I feel so comfortable when they are here, they treat me like I am a special customer, not just another job. They don't talk down to me because I am a woman and don't know anything, I am treated like a valued customer. Thanks Custom Air for hiring the best of the best. They earn more than 5 stars.

Technicians Bolton J. and Ryan B. were scheduled to arrive at 8:30am and actually arrived at 8:15 before approaching to begin the job. Scott Haring was my contact person and was very helpful with working out the best furnace and air conditioning units to install. I needed to work around some remodeling and the team was helpful in doing that by scheduling separate demolition and installation dates. All of the installers were respectful and professional.

Very grateful for the fast, clean, effective work on a very cold evening to replace my dead furnace. Corey and Ryan were a great team and their willingness to work well into the evening spared my family very cold night. They worked hard and fast, explained the new hardware clearly, and even did a last-minute fix on a problem that wasn't directly associated the install they came to do. Plus, my dog loved them. which is too cold or too hot depending on outside temperatures. It works great and we now are able to enjoy the sunroom for 3 seasons. The installers did a great job and our new system works great. I would highly recommend Custom Air.

First of all, I am VERY surprised that Custom Air got this high of a review with all of these people. I am very unhappy with these people. I was tricked and they played me for fool only because they knew I had the money to pay for their services. In addition to that, my AC went down for the 2nd time in its 3 year full operational use. They installed LEMON of a Trane unit and Custom Air benefited highly from their ungodly labor rates.

My most recent repair happened about 3 weeks ago while I was in the process of moving out of my property. There was a water leak out of the ac unit in the basement and of course I had to get CA to come in so I could close on the house. Diagnosis was a frozen evaporator on a 3 year old unit! The tech that did the Diagnosis, Josh, told me fairly nicely that it would cost $410 to replace the evaporator. I was very pissed knowing that about 13 months prior to this issue, I had another part fail that caused freon to leak as well. Josh showed me his paperwork and told me $410 was the for sure cost to do the repair in and out since the part was still under warranty. The next day, Randy from the quotes office calls me and informs me that the part is available and that it would cost $655. I was livid at this point. The tech told me to my face $410. And since I was in the middle of moving, I forgot to ask Josh to write down his quote of $410. Randy was going to check with Josh and called me back; between the two of them, they teamed up on me and basically
LIED to me over the phone. This very same day, I mentioned this issue to one of the guys helping me move and he heard for sure that the quote Josh gave me was $410. Mover guy is my witness. I could sue Custom Air for all I know. But I had to move on and do the goodwill with the new owners and get the system repaired.

And of course, once the part was replaced, I wanted to see true evidence of the leak. After asking the guy that replaced the part, all I could do was assume and trust their judgment that that was truly the issue. HOW CAN I BE FOR SURE THAT WAS THE ISSUE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IF YOU COULDNT SHOW ME EVIDENCE?!

With all that said, I loved that house I lived in but I HATED that Trane system and it was VERY UNFORTUNATE that the people installed it were from this corrupt company called Custom Air Heating and Cooling!

Great service and very professional. Would use again if the need arose!

Excellent experience(s) with them. The service techs are very knowledgeable. I have had some "ghost in the machine" issues that they have diagnosed and fixed. I have had warranty issues which the main office people have worked hard to resolve. Everyone involved was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous, from Scott the estimator, to installers Bobby and Corey who are true craftsmen. They are professional (as mentioned), punctual, experts in their field, clean (Clay vacuumed all over the place before they left!) and very competitive with pricing. I had CustomAir install a new furnace after our basement flooded last month and ruined our old furnace. I really appreciated the fast turn around time from the salesman Scott, he quickly worked with my homeowners insurance to get the process going. I was very impressed by the installation crew Cory and Justin. They had their work cut out getting my ancient old furnace disassembled and removed. They were very careful with the dirty job of removal and used drop cloths. They remained so pleasant and courteous the entire day. There was another technician who arrived later to make sure start up went smoothly, which gave me peace of mind. The salesman even stopped by to ensure we were happy and that all went as planned. I won t hesitate to call them back for any future needs or maintenance. Very happy with my new furnace!!

I came home from work on Friday November 15, 2019 to find no heat on inside my house. It was a cool 63 degrees inside my home. I called Custom Air after hours emergency service department and they had a service tech there in 45 minutes. The service tech quickly resolved my heating problem. Fast service! Fair price! I'm very pleased with the installation of my Trane heating and air conditioning systems that were done on October 9,2018. Ty Gates came out in the spring and did a quote complete with measurements and photos.
He was very professional and sent estimates for several different systems, complete with costs and brochures, rebate info, etc. I had all the info I needed to make a decision and decided on a new high efficiency Trane system. But it did not end there.

The team of HVAC techs which Custom Air sent out on the day of install was superb to work with. Sam and Ryan were technically proficient and very professional as well. They explained the entire process start to finish and everywhere in between. I had lots of questions and they took the time to explain everything in great detail. They took great care in my house at all times ( with the booties) and cleaned up meticulously.
I could not have asked for a better experience. They were spot on with the estimate of time it would take which was basically all day and into the evening. They did a great job. Thanks, guys!

My experience with Custom Air has been excellent. It all started with Kyle coming out to the house to determine the furnace that best fits my needs. He explained the process of installation so that I would know what to expect. Afterwards, he followed up to schedule the installation.

The crew (Sam, Corey and one other gentleman) showed up on time the day of installation. Actually, they were a little early. They were very professional and polite. They put down tarps on the floor so they would not track through the house and wore booties whenever they stepped on the carpet. They explained each step to me so I would know what to expect next. They removed the old furnace, installed the new one and cleaned up in a lot less time than expected. They performed many tests and found that I wasn't getting enough return air. So, they went all over the house to adjust all vents until the return air came out at the perfect level according to the tests.

Now my furnace is working great. It is warming perfectly and it is a lot quieter than the old one. Afterwards, Bonnie gave me a follow up phone call to make sure that everything was working perfectly. And it is. I couldn't be happier with the way this company treated me and with the professional installation of my furnace. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing HVAC services.

My mother who is 82 was having problems with her humidifier(water leaking). I was out of town and had her call Custom Air. Howard Wang was the technician who came to her condo and he took the time to diagnose the problem and was very professional and courteous. He found it was only an issue with the water valve. Thank you for taking care of her and not trying to sell her a new humidifier when it was not needed.

I called Custom Air when I had no heat in January. I called at 8:30pm and I had someone at my house by 9am the next morning to troubleshoot. Turns out I needed a new furnace and Scott was at our house by 2pm the same day to give us an estimate.
