LBWalter has cared for my landscape since 2000. I am always pleased with all these services for my home, rental property, and my office building. Their staff starting with the grounds crew, snow care team, customer's assigned crew leader, tree & shrub trimmers, fall & spring clean-up, tile/brick pavers, design team, flag pole installers, water control, ornamental bedding area, quality office staff, many with higher education degrees in their field, and advice add up to a service to keep.

9/23/16 -UPDATE- After posting the review, Mr. Walter has come out and fixed all the problems himself. He is treating my lawn like it is his own, and I am very satisfied with the way that the lawn is starting to look. Thank you!

I have used Walter for the past 3 years and am very dissatisfied. I hired them two years ago (April, 2014) at the beginning of the season to put down new dirt, grade, and reseed the property. Danielle assured me that by October of 2016 I would have a property that would allow people with canes to walk on without tripping. This has NEVER happened.

Here is a copy of the email I sent in September, 2015: "I know you told me that it would take a growing season for most of these issues to work themselves out. I am not sure how the lawn will smooth itself out, but I trusted you knew your job better than I do.

I have to admit that overall we are VERY disappointed in the way the lawn looks. There are bare patches over 50% of the lawn, the weeds are out of control, and much of the new soil has moved downhill due to the excessive rains.There are rows of NO grass areas in the backyard and when I mowed that soil would blow up and away. However, the most disappointing is the rust colored back yard area where they covered the seed with the hay blanket, It looks like something is trying to grow there, but it is mainly weeds. Additionally, we had asked that the lawn was smoothed out so that people with canes could walk on it, and not trip or get stuck in a hole. It is just as bumpy as it was before you began. Additionally, the front yard has waves of hills, and was not smoothed out at all."

There response was to send a technician out. They are AWESOME at sending people out to LOOK at the problem. They look, then they leave. They call and tell me things like: The grass needs time to grow, the rusty grass will grow out, etc. I authorized them to do ANY repair work up to $500 without contacting me. They have done nothing. My lawn looks horrible. Every time I mow it I become angry as we paid close to $4000 for the weeds.

Do NOT use this service.

I am highly pleased with my overall experience with LawnCare by Walter and would recommend them to anyone seeking landscaping needs. From beginning to end the communication was excellent which seems to be the biggest challenge with any service. Katie was prompt with handling my request for a quote and Scott was timely and thorough with the estimate that was provided to me. Scott took the time to answer any questions I had before agreeing on the services. He was accommodating to my schedule and willing to fit me in when an opening unexpectedly came up. On the day of the work, he and his crew were on time and he personally walked through the details with me while briefing his crew leader on the task and any intricacies.

The quality of the work completed was nothing but transformative. It included a spring cleanup, trimming, mulching and edging all of which were done in a manner surpassing my expectations. After the work was completed and the crew had left, Scott stopped back by to ensure the job was completed to a high standard.

Bad case of grub's.. service Sept.. 2016..late summer treatment sept.29...core aeration in October. Prepaid service for 2017 over 400. dollars. Only ONE early spring treatment on 4/17.... had Mike take a look at lawn 6/2 told him not happy with service... nothing has been done yet... worse lawn in the neighborhood will never win lawn of month.. shopping for a new service for better results. .......... now its 1/2/2018 cannot see my lawn now but last fall after treatments it has recovered somewhat. Hopefully this spring it will recover and look nice again. Thanks for your service and concern. I would like to change my rating to a four star.

I could not be happier with the service. I have used two other companies in the past and was constantly called to ask if I wanted to add to my service with extra services. I like what Lawn Care by Walter is doing. If I need extra I have the opportunity to ask. They do not pressure me into doing other things in my garden Service is great. I've also had some landscaping done and I am very pleased with the result. This is a great local company.

Required a quote on lawn clean up and they never responded

This was the first year I used LawnCare by Walter and my yard took on a great green color. There were a lot less weeds and I'm sure next year there will be even less. I have already prepaid for next year by putting the offer in the mail today.

Transformed a back yard full of weeds into lush grass. Great people. I would highly recommend!

We have used them for annual projects, large cleaning projects, and Lawn care for 3 years now and are always pleased. Tim is so easy to work with and everyone that has come out to work on our projects have been professional, thorough and always do a great clean up. I used to call other companies for estimates, but now I just call Walter, as they always have competitive pricing and excellent service.

I have been using LawnCare By Walter for many years. Love how they can turn a weed infested yard into a beautiful lawn. They are very reasonably priced, and have a terrific staff. They always let you know before they treat the lawn so your pets will be safe. I would definitely recommend them to everyone!!!

Seeing my neighbors dandelions make what Walters does for us so very much appreciated. Only issue is we used to have a choice of doing weedcontrol with one application. Now, this year I had to buy a package. Not having a package is what separated you from the others. Would like to see this return. Otherwise, great services.

Before switching to Lawn Care by Walter we had tried several other lawn care companies and were never happy with them. Lawn Care by Walter has handled the lawn maintenance for my home and my office for several years now and does an awesome job.

Mike has been servicing our lawn for eight years, and he has always followed through with answers to our questions, return phone calls, product knowledge about concerns. Because of Mike, and Lawn Care By Walter, our lawn is the envy of our neighborhood! Thanks to all who we have dealt with at Lawn Care By Walter.

Danielle knew exactly how to design our Beach project, it turned out great. I am 100% happy with Lawncare by Walter. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again .

Danielle was polite and professional. She was quick to come look at our project, and quick to respond with a quote. She kept in contact and completed the work in a timely fashion. We will look forward to working with her again in the spring.

We had relocated for close to two years; our lawn looked lifeless and had loads of weeds. Our flower beds needed weed eradication, edging and mulch. We have a couple of trees and several bushes that needed trimming and pruning. Mark responded quickly to my plea for help on the online form. We met discussed the options and over the course of the spring/summer took care of the items on my list. The gentlemen who worked on the edging and mulch were very courteous and worked in blistering heat to get my job done.It is apparent that they take pride in their work. The yard and landscaping look GREAT! I will recommend LawnCare by Walter to anyone looking for lawn/landscape help.

We used them for 3 major projects this year and had a wonderful experience! Our lawn was in desperate need of some help and they were very competitive in pricing compared to the other quotes for the same service. Our lawn is so much healthier and the weeds are nearly gone!
Having just moved in last year, we didn't get to much yard work. We had a LOT of overgrowth of everything, and mixed within all of it was poison ivy! Along with this, they removed an entire rock island and relocated every boulder throughout our yard. And, created a drainage area near our home where we have had water collection draining towards our home. Danielle helped to coordinate everything and had some great suggestions for making our yard look fantastic! We can't wait to see how everything blooms in the spring. We also had them clear a large area at add a border & mulch for a swingset and this turned out great!
Every employee that was in our yard over the several days of work were very respectful and did a great job cleaning up before leaving. They did everything that we asked for, as well as made suggestions that made the results even better than expected.
The other thing I liked was that their estimates were clear and right on without any surprise charges at the end of the project.

Hired Lawn Care By Walter to aerate my lawn, they came the next day and the price was very reasonable.

I have been using them for about 3 years. I got tired of fighting of what to do and how to beat those weeds. Endless battles. I finally called Walter.
Lawn is in much better shape and looks great!
Each time I had a question or problem they sent a tech out to inspect the issue and got handled.

We've previously engaged the service of two other lawncare providers and have not been happy with the work they've done or the fact it was so difficult to contact the company with questions or issues. When we contacted LawnCare by Walter we were able to speak to someone right away, a tech was sent out to look at the lawn and give us an estimate (much cheaper than our previous provider) and service was fast, courteous and very professional.
