Great hotel in quiet and elegant surroundings. The whole resort does need updating but this work is scheduled in many areas and in progress in others. The service is brilliant and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

The spa facility is pretty standard for this kind of resort but non the less the quality of the treatments is excellent.

Food standard is top notch and the menu is suitable for the target demographic. The price does reflect the area but is rather on the high side.

Having a bathtub in the rooms is a great touch and hope this isn't lost during refurbishment.

We selected your hotel for our redletterday afternoon tea this week. However, there were a number of reasons why we were disappointed with our experience. First of all the afternoon tea was in a large dark lounge where various groups and individuals were holding meetings - more like a work space than the setting for afternoon tea. The website shows tea on the patio with the view of the lake. When we asked for this we were told that was not possible as the RCP were holding a conference/seminar with posters and stands in the conservatory. However throughout the time we were having our tea no one was using that area nor were on the patio. Then we noticed 2 ladies who were obviously having a spa session being served afternoon tea outside on the patio and they had just walked through this conservatory are in their dressing gowns!! Whilst the staff were pleasant it was a disappointing experience. The location of the Crowne Plaza hotel is very nice but we would not recommend the setting and ambience for offering afternoon teas within the hotel.

We booked the night here but ended up not staying, when we booked we requested an upper floor room. When we arrived their system was down and we were manually allocated a ground floor room (after a half hour wait in case the system came back up) when I pointed out we did not want a ground floor room I was told all standard rooms are ground floor. We did not believe this because we have booked standard here before and been allocated upper floor. We believe he just could not be bothered ti swap us.

We stayed here for 4 nights, we had booked 2 inter connecting rooms , the rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable, the restaurant is good, staff helpful and polite especially the restaurant manager in the mornings very helpful, and made us feel very welcome! The hotel is a short 15min walk to Marlow itself but that was never a problem! The hotel facilities were good, good sized swimming pool, loads of parking spaces etc.

The Good

The Good
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable
The public areas were clean, the bar area was nice
Use of the pool was included in the stay.
There was free parking and wi-fi throughout

The Bad

I got served a Whiskey and Ginger in a J20 branded glass. No big deal, but when paying premium prices, it'd be nice to not feel like you're in a Wetherspoons.

We spent a long, relaxing weekend in this hotel! It is fully refurbished and luxurious, a successful combination creating a very pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel. We largely appreciated the fabulous room and the stress-relieving spa treatment, while the delicious food in the hotel restaurants was a constant temptation. The anti Covid safety measures are thoroughly applied and the staff is excellent in every aspect. Last but not least, we enjoyed very much visiting the nearby picturesque towns of Marlow and Windsor.

A very nice hotel, with incredibly friendly and attentive staff. As an IHG platinum member I was disappointed they don't honor member benefits in the same way as other Crowne Plaza locations (apparently this is because this hotel is independently owned), which is why I didn't give it five stars. But still a very nice place that I would happily visit again.

Staff are amazing. Rooms very nice, spa facilities excellent, swimming pool a good size, the jacuzzi comes on automatically rather than manually. Breakfast was fully stocked with fruit, yogurts, cereals, full English, and also had meat and cheese for continental. I didn't use the restaurant, so cannot comment, but the bar food was truly delicious.

Highly recommended, and would happily book again.

The reception desk and the Spa people are great/available. The service at the restaurant is the worst ever: noone to pick up the phone, almost ignored at the front desk for too long. Go there, if you are lucky/patient go to the restaurant or just eat out.

Spa day was ok but the facilities are not really made for relaxing, there was very limited lounging areas around the pool so we had nowhere to sit or put our towels when not swimming. Seemed like too many people were there for the space available.
The afternoon tea was lovely though with a nice view from the conservatory.

Good sized rooms, excellent service and always clean. The bar area is comfortable and large. I have never dinner here so can't comment on that, but breakfast has an excellent selection. The main problem with this hotel is getting rooms, because it is so often booked out by local business travelers running workshops etc. It is also expensive, but most guests are probably on corporate accounts...

Great in every way. Food, rooms, pool, two hot tubs. Staff couldn't be more accommodating. Although set at the end of a business park, you wouldn't know it from the views overlooking the lake. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Had a lovely 2 course lunch and use of spa facilities at crown plaza. The staff were very helpful and made such an effort for my mother's birthday. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Special thanks to Mohan who helped me set up the table before my mother arrived

Have been there for a business stay. It was a rather underwhelming experience.
The first evening we got beer from the downstairs bar and it definitively had turned brackish.

The first morning I was looking for a hairdryer. I looked in every little desk and drawer but it wasn't there. Upon calling the reception, the person answering was very condescending.
After calling a second time to ensure him I followed his instructions but still couldn't find the hairdryer he promised to bring one straight away.
At 10min later I tried to call the reception again, reached no one. After 20min I gave up and left the room with wet hair.

When I came home at 11pm for the night, the whole floor to the rooms was littered with trays from room-service that hadn't been cleaned up and I nearly tripped.
Then, at 11.30pm they apparently decided to clean the trays, causing a lot of noise. Who wants to sleep at 11.30pm anyhow...

There was mold in my shower.
Really can't recommend it.

The Crowne Plaza chain is normally very well appointed. This hotel however is a little dated and tired. Apparently they are undergoing a refurb which will be completed summer 2018. You get a decent pint, the staff are amazing, the Wi-Fi is below average, there are different rules each day regarding tabs. I have left my credit card details with them and normally you book to your room. Here you have to sign off after each drink one night and you can open a tab the next. The beer was good on a Tuesday but poor on a Wednesday. I started of awarding 3 stars but have reduced this to 2.

Had an amazing stay here, altho was only for a night but it was incredible, if you choose to have dinner here I highly recommend the braised lamb steak, it's cooked perfectly and fell off the bone

There was too many problems with staff not understanding basic English. Room was nice but cold .spa facilities was off a good standard. My wife massage was not relaxing even tho it was expensive . Basic lack of customer service in restaurant. Reception staff wear excellent but was not allowed to make any decisions on discount or compensation for a bad stay .

Stayed as a group of 3 families on a 2 day visit to Legoland Windsor and bought a very decent package including the hotel and 2 day park tickets.

The hotel is a 25 minute drive from the park and although there aren't any other bars or restaurants in the immediate area the hotel catered to our needs.

The evening bar food was nice and reasonably priced but the included breakfast buffet was outstanding. Quality food and as much as you can eat.

Room was spacious, and as a family of 4 we had plenty of room. The bed was comfy and we had all the amenities we needed. The kids loved playing in the outdoor play area and throwing stones in the lake.

Excellent stay and would visit again on our next visit to the area.

Nice hotel with good facilities in nice grounds but rooms are very very dated. They are very functional though and I was extremely pleased the air conditioning was working well given the temperatures when I visited!

To be honest 1 star is a disgrace this place does not deserve it.
I purchased a spa package for my wife for the 2 of us to spend some time away together booked for the 7th of July.
Our daughter was taken into hospital on Tuesday with a burst abscess in her stomach and, the added problem of being Type 1 Diabetic She was on Tuesday night operated on,
We spoke to Crowne Plaza to ask if we could rearrange our booking for a later date, what a pleasure it was the very pleasant staff (8 mins ringing out) were very nice in saying NO.
It did not make any difference whom we spoke to the same answer was given NO.

Totally rude and inconsiderate staff i wonder how they would feel if someone was very poorly and they got told tough its not our fault.
I was told to speak to Virgin, as we purchased it from them and yes i did, funny thing the lady from Virgin spoke to them and called me back.
Lovely conversation was started with, they said we have applied for the money and we cant and wont refund.
Stupid thing is i bought the Voucher for the Crowne Plaza in Marlow so we would of stayed their full stop.
Disgusting Disgusting Disgusting.

Nice location with the lake out the back. Very friendly staff. Used the spa however the inside jacuzzi was broken which was disappointing. Food in the restaurant for dinner was delicious however breakfast was disappointing, sausage and bacon flavourless. Room very comfortable, all in all a nice stay would return.

I got married at Crowne Plaza (Marlow) on 24th August 2019 and was not pleased with the overall experienced.

The night ended and we got to our room, it was one of the hottest days that summer and the air conditioning wasn t working. We called reception to take a look and after 30 minutes no one arrived so we called again. They said someone was on their way, but it wasn t for quite some time when we finally attended to. We were simply told that it was just not working. We asked if we could change rooms and were just told no. I said that it was too hot and the room was becoming unbearable to sleep in so we needed something. Reluctantly we were finally provided with a fan.

Weddings are stressful in itself, but CP did not make it any better whatsoever. I had to plan 3 functions and the most stressful was the one booked with CP. I wouldn t recommend them at all. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

We came for a spa weekend and reception staff could not find our booking. Luckily the spa had our treatments booked otherwise I believe we would have been turned away. There was only a premium room left which we had to pay extra for, the corridor of which was full of left over breakfast trays with old food on them until 8pm in the evening after we complained. Staff in the resturaunt and gym bickered amongst themselves and added to general chaos to the organisation of this hotel. When we quiries the extra charge for our stay we were told there was no way it could be removed even though the service was substandard let alone premium!

Great looking place and helpful staff if not a little 'cold' in the ambience department. Gym could do with an overhaul/refurb and a few extra bars/plates. Food is pricey and could be a bit more varied to warrant this. The fact you cannot order a burger in the restaurant but 10ft next door in the bar you can makes no sense.

My fiance and I went for a Spa Day. We used Groupon and rang the spa to book the date and time.

Upon arrival, they had no record of us booking, so the person we spoke to over the phone had clearly not done what they were meant to do. It was about 40 minutes before things were sorted out and we were allowed access. The girl at reception, Joely, was very polite and understanding and tried to find the manager for us to speak to, the manager clearly had better things to do though. We were not the only couple to experience this problem either.

After using the, frankly underwhelming, facilities, we went for our lunch, which we ordered 2 hours prior. This order was not received by the restaurant so we were made to wait again. When we were eventually sat down we waited over half an hour for each course. Considering we ordered 2 hours ago and told them which time we would be having lunch, this seemed like an unusually long time to wait. We were waited on by Richard, who was very attentive and apologetic about the food taking so long.

Would not return here.

Stayed for a lovely wedding reception. Very helpful staff, clean comfy rooms, bed was lovely! Bathroom had both a bath and a shower which was nice - better than a showers hooked up in a bath. Very quiet until a kid screams outside your door More

Review of Crowne Plaza Marlow

We left the hotel for an evening out in Marlow at approximately 7pm not returning until around 11pm. On checking out the following morning we opted to use their speed checkout system as there was a particularly long line of folk on front of us & we were keen to have one final venture into the town centre.

We've therefore called the hotel no fewer than 8 (yes 8) times to try and get this situation resolved, with absolutely no joy whatsoever. We've even offered to supply a copy of our restaurant booking to prove that we weren't around at the time of this alleged bar purchase. We have of course asked for the hotel purchase slips showing our name, room number, signature etc - which they cant seem to locate (funny that)

Bottom line now is that we are reluctantly getting the CC company involved and even been advised to file a police report as an act of fraud has been committed. I've been in touch with their HO and rang to speak with the Hotel one last time - all to no avail.

Seriously unimpressed and it's cast a shadow over what should have been an enjoyable break. My advice for what its worth - do not trust these people with your credit card details as you may get an unpleasant surprise. Very poor from Santos and the team at CP Marlow.

It's OK but not cheap and the rooms need refreshing and updated. Dinner and breakfast was fine, nothing to get excited about. No aromatherapy spray but booking makes you think it should be provided.

Staff are lovely, welcoming and very helpful. The room I had was just looking a bit tired things were broken or damaged and the little finishing touches weren't there!
Went to the bar to get a drink which felt very dark and untidy but there is a lovely outside space to sit in front of the lake of the weather is good.
Opted for a burger on room service, hmmmm - very bad, not sure it should be labeled as gourmet on the menu - I would have been very disappointed had I made that myself!
The hotel was convenient and generally pleasant though.

I have stayed here for many years and I feel the quality of the Hotel, the quality of the food and the welcom to long-standing customers has defiantly taken a downward spiral. Don't get me wrong the rooms are comfortable but look very, very tired. The in-room entertainment was probably cutting edge in 2010 as was the decor. I orderd room service, had a great pot of tea but no fresh milk, also had a bottle of beer but nothing to open it with. And the Club Sandwich ended up in the bin as it was the worst I had tasted. There are other Crowne Plaza's in near by that put Marlow to shame at every level.

Bought a voucher through Groupon for our wedding anniversary for a spa day with afternoon tea and two 55 minute massages. Every time we called the spa to book either no one picked up or we were told no one was there. By the time we got through to someone two days later we were told all slots were fully booked and one of us would have to do a 2x 30 min treatment (so half the treatment at 2pm and the other half at 6pm). When we first called we were told there were plenty of spaces available but no one to take our booking. Complete shambles of a booking system and not brilliant customer service either. Spoiled our anniversary plans. Wouldn t recommend.

Lovely rooms and surroundings but service was slow. Went for a relaxing weekend but spent most of our time trying to get the attention of the staff to get a drink, order dinner or get the bill! Each taking on average 15/20 mins. Great place but managed poorly.

The rooms were fabulous -comfy and practical. The facilities were great with pool and sauna and lakes etc. The breakfast was second to none with hot and cold and a range of produce fresh and delicious. Service at breakfast was great by a man named Pele who was child friendly and helpful. We stayed there as part of the Legoland partner hotel deal. It is actually more miles than expected and about 35mins away from Legoland. Evening meal service was not as strong and was off putting for us, hence not giving it 5 stars.

I have been here for two company events, but only one time sleeping here. The dinner we had with the people on the night of the company event was good, we sat at a secluded area.
For lunch we used the standard buffet, this had two warm courses, and some cold ones. It was a bit English menu, with some curry and some meet/wegy in a pot cooked. The dessert was very English too.
The room seemed fine, I had 2 Queen sized beds, a fairly ok in size TV, however the hardware did not perform that well, as the software in the TV did react a bit slow. There were plenty of bath robes for one person, but they did seem like they have had been washed a bit too many times, this is not that unusual in UK hotels.
