They are a horrible company that only cares about the Benjamin’s. They steal and overcharge on the utilities and give a phony excuse when you contact them and blame other people. Don’t waste time with these crooks. That are straight trash.

Nobody has their own meter readings so they split the bill up between your neighbors... I been paying more on my bill to stay ahead and should be having a credit instead of a bill.. I do feel this company is crooked.. Several times over the years I've had to deal with them our bills have been screwed up and the only way they try to correct the payment is if you fuss about it or else your stuck getting robbed.. Oh and thumbs up on the fake 5 stars reviews created by your company... Don't reply to my review because if I had a choice I would put 0 stars..

For a year's worth of bills, for just service fees, we're going to be paying $157? Just so they can get the bills from the city and send them to us? We were managing this with the city and had our bills paid on-time without the help of CONservice. During the period of time when our rental agency was transferring with them there were multiple issues and missed bills that we dealt with it on our end without ever causing a problem, but at the close of our lease they ended up charging 25 dollars for close out and a monthly 11 dollar fee just for "services." Unbelievable that a company would charge to do basic math regarding how much they will charge for partial utilities and close your account. This place is a SCAM and are not reputable or ethical at all.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Received my bill 4 days before it was due and was of course charged a late fee. Just to be sure it's not the postal service's fault the bill the statement is actually dated 5 days before. Not only that but the bill was for account setup fee's when I'd already had an account for the entire summer. Absolutely ridiculous, will be keeping my eyes open for a class action suit.

Arbitrary and Capricious but not likely Pernicious. This company is not nearly as bad as most of these reviews make them out to be. If you want to know the original bills from the city for sewer and water you can get them based on being a resident of that building. Just ask, and you can see exactly how much the bills are. Many times there is no correlation but ultimately I don't feel I am being grossly overcharged, my only complaint is there is NO TRANSPARENCY. Many state have laws which require landlords with Master Meters that divide up utility charges to keep the bills on file for any resident to view upon request. This state will have that as well either by legal and legislative process.

We are so disappointed our apartment is using this service. They serve no point--they are a middle man in a process that needs no middle man. Thanks to Conserve 1/4--1/2 of our total monthly bill is a service bill to pay their employees for putting our bills on Conservice stationary.

I have zero complaints with working for Conservice! I am always given time off when I ask for it, they work so well with my college schedule, and they treat me like an actual human being with feelings unlike other places I have worked. The GQC's, ATL's, TL, and senior TL are always willing to offer help whenever it is needed! I love working here! Thank you Conservice!

It is no wonder they are called CON service. This is a CON. You do not have to use them. If you can, sign up for service directly with your utilities to avoid their incorrect prorated billing and their $25 set up fee (per utility, so that's $75 for gas, water and trash) and their $10 monthly (non) service fee. They don't even send you the actual bills that show where they come up with the charges. They don't read your meter, so it is not actual charges. This is illegal. Their customer service is a joke. All they do is say sorry. Yea, I'm sure you are sorry you are a horrible company. Why are they still in business? There is no benefit for management companies to use their service. Just have your tenants sign up for the utilities directly. Why use their horrible service? Your tenants will thank you!

I take umbrage with the review written by the "businessman". I don't know where you live, however, gas & electric have nothing to do with Conservice where I live. I am disabled and live in a two bedroom apartment. I am home all day and I take water conservation seriously, as do most people in my area. I know how much I use. I do not have 3 people who take showers daily. or two people as the other two apartments that surround me. I find it unacceptable that I have to pay a fee that is based on a "formula", which is based on the square footage and the number of occupants. I want to pay for the amount I use. I also pay for pest control. If I have to pay, then I expect it to be done every two weeks, period. I should not have to call the office and request it every time. I am highly suspicious of a company who gives a phone number on my bill, and when I call, I find it is not in service. Really? So, tell me, where is the service part of their company? All I see is my bill, which is increasing every month. I find this extremely unacceptable all around.

Conservice is an awful place for employment! They advertise that they work really well with ANY schedule especially school but as soon as you're hired they do not hold up their end of the bargain. Conservice has issues letting you take a day off to go take tests, go to doctors appointments or heaven for bid you get sick! They act like you put them out and treat you like garbage. They are hypocrites and liars! It is basically a glorified call center. If you can avoid working there, do at all costs! They put you in corners to quit and threaten to fire. We are in a college town and they hire young college students telling them they will work with your schedule and they do not! Conservice is awful! Even when you talk to them and try to work something out they do not reason with you!

First off, Notice how the good reviews are employees and the bad reviews are customers. That normally means there s a bit of a disconnect between what the company thinks it provides and what it actually provides. I would say that s true in my experience in dealing with them. If you are a property owner I suggest shopping elsewhere for these types of services.

Ok, so I can t add a credit card to autopay which is inconvenient given that checking accounts are not free these days. If paying with a credit card each month you ll be charged $36 in convenience fees each year. Set up my account online when I moved in but wasn t able to log in the following month to make payment. Password reset links sent me to their old website and did not allow me to reset my password. Had to call and wait on hold to get access to my account. Same thing happened on the second month, I had to call and wait on hold again to have things reset, again. Neighbor said he has the same issues and an employee at my complex said her apartments also uses this company and she has problems as well. Will be suggesting to my property owner to change services.

Owner don t @ me. Go find your disconnects and work on bridging the gap between your happy employees and your frustrated customers.

Conservice sucks. Stay away from any property that uses them. Your utilities will be INSANELY high. We paid more for our water/sewer in our 1 bedroom apartment then we did for a 5 bedroom house with a massive yard to water. They charge base fees which is ridiculous. So, our $15 water and $15 sewer bill ends up actually being $90. Not even exaggerating. Had I realized this when we signed up for our apartment, I never would have.

Update: for 5 months in a row, our water bill has been $93 from conservice. That's crazy to me. For a 1 bedroom apartment. Thank goodness we are out of our lease this month.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Yup, I'll keep updating because I'm still mad at them. We bought a townhouse and guess how much our water bill has been for the last 2 months? Less than $20. Still can't believe how much of a ripoff they are.

I live in CT and I paid rent to my apartment building but got billed from a service in Utah. At this point A) I really don't care if I get evicted. It would be welcome. B) How did no one explain this to me C) Why did I get in with such an awful, incompetent management group?

Judging by the reviews it seems like this place is truly awful anyway, and it deepens my regrets ever signing a lease with Bozzuto and giving my information to such unprofessional, uninformed people.

I started working here after a job that was incredibly hard to go to school and work. Now, working here, I finally have a company that wants to work with my schedule. Conservice does its very best to help its employees feel comfortable and happy doing the work we do. The environment and team I work for, all of it helps me know I made the right choice to apply here.

IF I WAS ABLE TO GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!!! I moved into a rental home that uses conservice for their utilities. After living in the house for about 2 months and receiving no electric bill I called on MULTIPLE different occosations and they told me that it had not come in yet but I would be notified as soon as my first bill did come in. A couple of weeks later im notified by my home security that my power is out. So I call conservice and let them know what was going on and they told me that they would get it figured out.. hours and hours go by and nothing is getting resolved. My power is still out, food in the refrigerator is getting warm. So i call again, and again, and AGAIN and NOTHING. I give them one final call to try and figure out what is going on and they tell me that they are still working on it. By this point im very annoyed and decide to call Snapping Shoal's and try to figure out the problem myself. S.S tells me that there is no electricity on at my house because they were unaware that someone was living there and that the electricity was not in anyone's name. So i quickly get the electricity put in my own name and the power is cut back on within 20 minutes. So im thinking everything is OKAY at this point. NO, I'm wrong... Conservice calls S.S and had the electricity put into their name then proceed to charge ME $50.00 because they had to switch it "back" into their name when it was never in their name to start with!!!! Needless to say, if there is any way possible that you can avoid having to deal with this company, DO IT!!!

This company is a scam. I hate that apartments are able to use third parties for their billing. We moved apartments and they charged a $20 account set-up fee after we've already been forced to use them for a year. There's no way it actually costs $20 to change an address. They just charge it because they can. Also, our service fee at our old place was $3.74 every month for 5 services and at our new place it's $5.10 for only 3 services. The apartment companies should be charged all the service fees because they're the ones deciding to use it. We can't wait until we aren't forced to deal with this company anymore.

Conservice is a great company to work for. I love it and I don't even work there (my husband does). They value family and a wonderful workplace culture. This ends up making their work even more excellent than it would normally be. If you need a third party to help take care of your utility billing needs, this is the company to work for. Check your bill and your water meter. They've been estimating my bill rather than actually reading my meter. I can see my meter and therefore how much water I'm actually using. I'm being charged a grossly over estimated amount. I've contacted them several times over the last few months about getting actual meter reads and adjusting my bill to reflect actual usage, but my problem is yet to be resolved. When I ask how to help them get regular meter reads I've gotten no answer. And despite them getting actual reads a few times in September, they still didn't adjust my bill.

I haven't had the really bad experiences of other reviewers, however I am inclined to believe them. I'm in an Essex property in CA, and we were out of town from last Wed through the weekend, I can't log into my conservice account to pay the bill because there is no option for forgotten username. I entered my account number to no avail. They won't just send me an email, that would be too simple. I forgot my username and now I will get a 3 day notice from my apartment complex tomorrow because I can't pay my bill on Sunday.

My apartment complex was bought by a company that uses Conservice. Conservice charges a "Convenience Fee". It is $3 for EFT and $20+ for credit/debit card (depending on rental amount). I have never been charged a "Convenience Fee" for paying rent before. It is simply an extra charge.

Be sure to check with any potential apartments to see if they use Conservice. If they do, it isn't worth renting. If they charge this "Convenience Fee", who knows what other shady practices are going on.

If you are considering using Conservice for your property, please look elsewhere.

Conservice is the worst company I have ever encountered. Their practices are shady, and their billing is a joke. My husband and I bought a house that is over twice the square footage of the house we were renting that used conservice for the utilities. We are paying less than half at our much larger home than what we were paying in the rental with them. We haven't lived in that rental for over a month, we received the final utilities today. $250 for literally not having anything on in that house other than the refrigerator. Ridiculous. When you call to have them explain your bill, they say it is correct and send you a copy of it. No explanation, just that it's correct. They are rude and I'm pretty sure they are illegally charging people. If you are apartment or house rental hunting, do your research and stay away from anyone who uses them for utilities. You will be paying upwards of $500 a month with them for bare necessities.

The company is ridiculous. They are a 3rd party vendor for the apartment or location you reside in so whatever mistakes they make affect the total amount of your rent. Which means you are stuck paying the incorrect amount for rent only to have it fixed the next billing cycle.
Also, I get having to pay a $10 account activation fee, whatever no big deal. BUT you have to pay a $4.95 move out fee.... I missed the part where it COSTS A COMPANY MONEY TO CLOSE AN ACCOUNT. I would understand if these fees were disclosed to you prior to you getting started and the amounts aren't the issue, it's the face that you get blindsided with it after the fact. These people are a joke and I would not recommend their services if you have a choice.

My apartment contracted with this company and it was hell. Over charged and sent bills close to due date in hopes you'd miss a payment. Instead of reading the meter they'd estimate and over charge based upon size of unit instead of how much you used. If they got their money they'd be quiet. If a payment was missed they'd become super harassive. Customer service isn't all that great. No wonder they're name is Conservice "Con". I would not recommend using this company. 2016 experience.

Yeah this is neither a good company for billing or for employment. I've had the pain to have to deal with both. They do not adequately train their employees...you get a few days and boom then you're billing more than a thousand or more people. The team lead, senior team lead, HR, etc. is a complete joke here. If you're not meeting their expectations they won't give you extra guidance or coaching they will just ask you if you want to quit. Pay or benefits is not great at all....you are basically just a warm body to this company so the higher ups can make wonderful salaries while you're stuck making like $10 an hour...McDonald's even pays you that!! I do feel so sorry for the places that have this as their billing provider. You pay a ridiculous billing fee and meter reads are not always accurate... and try calling in and paying your bill with them over the phone, they WILL charge you!! It's basically a company that thrives on lazy property managers that don't want to find out the individual bills for their residents.

If you want to hate yourself, then work here. Boring, tedious, and makes you want to stab yourself in the eyeball kind of work. Good luck getting any time off, especially around the holidays. The pay sucks as well and they have WAY high expectations for the work that you do, and if you don't meet the standards, well then you're put on a performance plan and can get fired. Literally went and cried in the bathroom a few times. Oh and if you're on the team I was on, you will probably work all day on Saturday, even though they'll tell you you can get out early. So, if you want to hate yourself, then work here.

This company is a complete scam. They overcharge for utilities and they make you pay a convenience fee for paying your bill. You have no choice but to use them because your apartment complex contracts with them, essentially stopping you from creating an account with the actual utility providers. Customer service is beyond incompetent. Advice to everybody before you rent, ask who utilities go through. If they say they contact through a third party, run and hide. And to the management who seems to respond to every message: you know that you're unethical. Don't try to trick people with some nice sounding apology. Fix your company.

This company is horrible!! They send you a bill every month and you pay it. Then when you move they say you owe them for months of service even though you have never missed a payment. And your last bill will be at least $800!! AVOID THEM!!!! They inflate your rates, they do not read usage correctly and refuse to fix it when asked. They billed me every month for a year and I paid on time every month. Then at move out they said I owed 4 months of utilities at an outrageous rate!?!? It is fraud I'm sure, they should be reported to the government!! I was forced to use them with my rental company. So crooked!! If I could, I'd give negative stars!!

Worked here for several months as a Billing Manager, and I can tell you first hand that this company is completely un-ethical in it's entire business model. The CEO is aware of this and just doesn't care, since what they are doing isn't technically illegal. It should be, but it's not. If you live in property these guys handle you WILL be overcharged, and you WILL regret ever living there. Working for them is even worse, but like other reviews have stated, a lot of people working for them feel like they have no other choice for employment in Logan UT. They know this and use it to their advantage at every point that they can. If you don't like it, they can easily replace you with someone more willing to be abused. Avoid this company, and any propeties associated with them AT ALL COSTS!

Conservice is not only a CON, they are Criminals. They rip off their customers as they see fit. My water bill has been the same exact amount for over 6 months (as if I use the same exact amount of water every month) but then this month it's actually doubled for no apparent reason. I called and the SUPERVISOR told me, yes we see the over charge but we will not adjust it until your bill two months from now. Now I have to take my Thanksgiving Dinner money and give it to Conservice, Really? I'm calling Action 5 and I will see you in court. Ridiculous!!!

One of the best places I've worked. These guys really are the utility experts! Although it is a big company and growing even larger they keep it friendly and comfortable. Amazing :)

Conservice is an amazing company. When you see most companies grow to the size of Conservice they often relocate to larger cities. Conservice has kept jobs in Logan and helped many students through the education process. While there are many one star ratings of Conservice, most of these reviews could be handled by a simple call to their Customer Service line. I would recommend Conservice as an employment option for anyone in the Logan area.

The worst service I've ever experienced and the biggest scam I've ever seen, charges ten dollars every time you're late. I wasn't even aware I had to pay a utility bill. My leasing office, Middlesex Management withheld that information, I feel intentionally to try to sell me. When I finally found out I was four months past due and never could catch up because Conservice adds that additional ten dollars. Huge scam!

I definitely do not recommend this company! I am sure you can find more suitable companies. If I could give minus stars, I would give it. Since the complex I am in requires working with this company, I cannot leave them. If I could leave I would do that too!

My bills are calculated in a very strange way. I pay a $ 14 water bill, a $ 25 sewer payment coming. I am paying more sewer than the water I use. If you are getting service from here, please check your invoice details. You will see a discrepancy when you compare it with other months! They regularly add $ 5 to my bill every month under the name of "Service Fee". As for the payment section, they add another 3 dollars under the name "Service Fee". Come on, guys! Do I look like a goose that needs to be plucked to you?

I think they're sitting in the office all day and saying, "What else can we add to the user's bill this month?" they think constantly. I understand this from the invoices.

I have worked for Conservice for the past two year...

I have worked for Conservice for the past two years, and it has provided an excellent opportunity for me to expand myself professionally. I enjoy the culture and the fact that they have a truly open-door access to pretty much anyone from your immediate leadership up through the CEO, himself. Working in the billing department is challenging and stressful sometimes, but there are good incentives to do your job well and rewards for being successful.

Having been able to work up into leadership myself, I see the efforts that Conservice takes to help people be successful, so it surprises me when I see other reviewers mention how they felt neglected or abused by the company.

I have experienced the company being very open to ideas and making changes based on those ideas. One of the company tenants that has always been apparent is 'continuous improvement.' This extends to helping the employee base, the processes that are used to manage property utilities, and helping property managers and the residents they manage be billed fairly based on the usage at each community.

We had moved out before our lease was up but they say I can not cancel the service before our lease is up, it was in our lease agreement. Conservice takes amazing care of their employees and our customers. I work on the team that fixes any problems in the billing process and we see less than 5% of all bills that come in and out of Conservice. We are constantly trying to bring that number lower and lower. We do charge fees for people to use our services but so does everyone. If your housing company states that you must put utilities in your name then I suggest you do. That is by far the biggest fees we issue. It is per your contract. Be informed.

For two weeks I attempted to reach my account online, but the website said it was an invalid account. Yet, they still managed to send me a bill with the same account number through the mail. Then the account actually showed up on the website again. Horrific customer service.

Is it possible to rate ZERO stars??? I stay at an AvalonBay owned apartment community in Walnut Creek, CA and my water bill has ranged from $96-$99 EACH MONTH for 12 months. I would give this company a negative if there was any option to do that. They are a rip off. They charge $25 account setup fee each time a new tenant moves into an apartment. Even though I had an account with them through my previous apartment community they charged me $25 when I moved to new apartment community. This is in extra to $3.95 they charge service fee/ month. Also there is no transparency on how the utility bill is calculated and seems like they are charging the random amount.
