Horrible service. Car kept delaying arrival. Spoke to driver who told me they told him from beginning to pick me up 45 minutes later than scheduled. Came from within NYC and said it took him 15 minutes to get to me. They kept telling me gridlock and driver couldn't get to me. I scheduled car almost a week ahead. No excuse except that they kept adding people. I complained to them and they never even contacted me with any resolution. Would not recommend.

Terrible. We reserved Carmel because we were on a tight schedule and were told they could help. I landed and called them and they sent a driver. I stood where they told me and called four more times, each time was told the driver was a minute or two away. They wouldn t cancel my reservation or otherwise I could have jumped in a cab and been on my way. I travel at least 100 days a year and never have an issue with Uber and Lyft from JFK. Highly suggest using one of those services instead of a taxi as another option. Bad!

Horrible experience! The driver was rude and forcing to leave him a tip before we even got to the place. Then he tried to trick me about tolls until I called to the company.

Couldn't have been better! I used the App to notify the driver that I was ready and by the time I got to the pick-up area he was there! My driver was extremely courteous and the car was spotless. I'll definitely use Carmel for my next trip!

Perfect service, from the airport to Long Island City. Cheaper than normal taxis, no queue and dedicated and clean minivan with plenty of space.

We had booked for 11:45pm and paid in advance. However immigration check was very fast, and we were ready at 10:30pm. Called them and in less than 10 minutes the car arrived! Driver was kind and helpful, and very silent (something that we appreciated because we were very tired) and he drove us to the exact location. Surely we'll use it again.

Very impressed with this service. I needed a car at 5 am and driver arrived exactly on time. He called me upon arrival and was waiting at the apt. entrance that I specified (there are 2 entrances.) The fare was less than the return trip for which I used a regular taxi.

Absolutely useless car service. Chose Carmel this time around as they are a bit cheaper than the service I usually use. We had ordered a van as we had a lot of luggage. Upon arriving to JFK we called and were told car would be there in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later the car was still not there so I called Carmel again and was told it could be an hour. I obviously cancelled and got a taxi instead. Totally unreliable.

I have been using Carmel for years without a mishap. This morning we asked for 6:30 and the car arrived at 6:20 - sometimes even earlier is better. Arrived Newark to find TSA down and long, long lines. The extra ten minutes came in handy! Keep up the good work.

I rarely write reviews but I m being offered a gift of $10 to use with Carmel to do this so it s definitely a motivator. I have used Carmel many times to go to the airport and to places in the city. This morning I had a medical procedure and took Carmel to get there. The driver was prompt and extremely polite. He got me to my destination quickly and easily. This has always been my experience with Carmel. And the use an app to avoid traffic. Very positive experience!

DO NOT use this service!!!!!! They will take your money and when dispatched at the wrong time on the wrong date, will be extremely rude and tell you no refund and to just book again to pay double!!!! Warning to all, please save your money and book through an agency with competent supervisors and customer service. Our family is so disappointed and the money we paid ahead included til, rolls, and everything in full. Don't get taken advantage of the way we did.

When our pre-arranged ride abandoned us at LaGuardia Airport Carmel came through in the clutch! They offered prompt, courteous, and professional service at a competitive price. I will certainly use them again!

I use Carmel every time we travel and need a ride to the airport. They are 100% reliable , arrive early at the house so there is no stress waiting before an international flight . The cars are very nice , clean and comfortable. Drivers are professional and friendly every time. We just returned from a trip to France with 2 stops to pick up and drop off going and coming and all went flawlessly! We will always use Carmel .

I've been using Carmel since 2013. They're usually pretty good and reliable. The drivers are polite and the cars are clean.

However, I had a terrible experience last time I used them. I had to catch an international flight and I had a lot of baggage. I indicated in their website when I reserved how much baggage I had. The lady who picked me up complained about how heavy they were even though they weren't that bad. They were all below the airline limit. She also said they wouldn't fit but they did!

I was about 10 minutes late and she said "You pay fee." I pointed out that she came early and she kept calling me even though I told her she was early. I really didn't have a problem with the fee but I had an issue with her attitude.

I was really stressed out when I got in the car because my driver was annoying, I hate long flights/airports, and the traffic was terrible. My driver made things worse by telling me I wouldn't catch my flight due to traffic.

I gave her the wrong terminal number and I immediately realized it was wrong. I seriously considered getting down and taking a taxi to the correct terminal, but I didn't want to waste more time. I told her as nicely as possible that it was wrong. She complained of course, and she muttered incoherently under her breath. When I got to the terminal, I over tipped her even though she didn't deserve it. I don't know why I did. I regret it. Fortunately I made my flight, but I don't think I'll be using this car service again.

I'm giving them 3 stars because they're usually very good. I just had one bad experience that ruined for me.

Carmel is great. Arranged pickup at LaGuardia ahead of trip, paid and had no worries. Called when got luggage and was met promptly at designated spot. Also the driver was very nice.

I planned our pick up time for the cab for about an hour after our flight landed. It didn t take us as long as I thought it would to get our bags and get settled in. I called Carmel Car service and they had someone at the airport to pick us up within 5 minutes of us sitting down (an hour earlier than we had planned!) very good service. I am supposed to receive $10 off my next trip for this review, but it is legit :)

I have always used Carmel Car, Taxi and Limo Service when I fly into New York. Its been a few years now., and it has always been a perfect experience. Very reliable no matter what time you come in. Today's in particular was wonderful. I had to request an earlier pick up than the one I reserved, and three people I spoke to (first to request the change, then to ask if I could have my colleague who was on the same flight join me on the ride into work, and then to say my flight had landed) were super nice! The can pulled up as expected and the driver was excellent. Drove well. Was super helpful, and all in all a very pleasant experience as always.

So I just used this service for the first time and expect to use it frequently because I have to travel a lot and don't have a car. I mainly used it as an alternative to the regular rideshares because they are way too expensive and I was looking for a cheaper alternative. I was really impressed, the company called me to ask if it's ok that the driver will be a bit late, no excuses, very honest. It was fine. I got to my destination quickly and the driver was very friendly and opened the door for me. It was very pleasant. Please know that this is an honest review but I am being awarded $10 for it.

I was in Manhattan for summer vacation with my family. I had no idea how to get from Manhattan (57th and 6th) to JFK. I decided to take Uber and scheduled it. The estimated price was $115. Ok. Better than taking the metro and Air Train to JFK with 4 suitcases and 3 carryons. Told my sister in law (who lives part time in Manhattan). She said to try Carmel. They use it all the time. So I did and the price was only $59. After booking, the reservation confirmation charged me only $53. Said they applied $6 of Carmel Cash or something like that. Maybe for being a first time user??? Anyway, they asked me to write a review and would give me $10 cash for a future ride if I put this following statement in my review. Who knows why. Regardless of the reason, I would use them again. Half the price of Uber. And the car/driver was probably an Uber driver anyway. I felt bad that he likely would make less than Iber so I tipped him $15.

My husband and I have been loyal Carmel customers for over 25 years, and don't use any other car service. They are consistent, always on time, and very competitively priced. Susan, my driver this evening, was friendly, efficient, and after having been away for three months, it was nice to know that I would have a comfortable, quick ride home from JFK. She couldn't have been nicer. Big plus was that she addressed me by name, which is very unusual, but she definitely went above and beyond.

Worst driver and service ever for a limo service! Ordered in advance for four from JFK to Manhattan. Driver arrived in his own Toyota Sienna Mini Van. Rude immediately. Drove like a maniac. Would not pull up to our destination until our credit card cleared, even though his machine was slow.

Contacted CARmel with experience and never heard back from them. Lots of better options and prices out there with better service and experience. Avoid CARmel limo service as both are misnomers as no limo and no service.

Great way to get to EWR from Manhattan. Driver showed up promptly and we arrived on time. My flight was delayed so I called same day to change the pick up time and they were very accommodating.

I landed at JFK airport and I had my luggage. I called Carmel and a professional dispatcher answered immediately and told me my pickup driver would be there in less than 5 minutes and would have a sign in his window with my name. I saw the driver right away and he helped me with my bags and when placing them in the trunk he was very careful with my camera equipment. There was plexiglass between the front and back seats and he wore a mask the entire trip to Manhattan. The car had a very clean smell and was newly sanitized which made me feel comfortable in this Covid environment. The driver was professional and courteous and a safe driver who took his work seriously. It was a relaxing trip because of this and I appreciate Carmel's good work on hiring someone who cared about safety.

I had the worst experience. I booked the car way months in advance, followed instructions when we arrived at La Guardia and waited at the designated spot. No car. Called after 30 minutes and was assured the car was minutes away. No car. 15 minutes I later I call again and this time I talk to dispatch who tells me they see the car in the parking lot just moments away. NO CAR. I call back after 15 minutes to cancel and they tell me I can only cancel through the website I booked through and at that moment, OVER AN HOUR from the time I originally called , the car arrives. The driver does not even apologize, says it s not her fault it was traffic. I booked the car with my flight information so the service knew when I would arrive. I was so scared of missing my return flight I was able to cancel the service and just took an uber. Same cost more reliable. Never got an apology from anyone in the company. I would not recommend them at all.

It was a really good experience with Carmel. The driver was on time, the hotline and driver really friendly. But I can t realize the calculation of the toll and this is the only thing what was not really good. Because I saw only one toll bridge on our way to Bayonne and the toll was signed with 5,50 USD and in the end we paid 59,00 USD. This must be for the future a little bit more transparency. I booked a round trip for my nyc visit (from the airport to the hotel & from the hotel to the airport). I will just say that I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. The round trip was already expensive compared to other companies, but the funny part that there are hidden costs that the drivers WILL SURPRISE YOU with at the end of the ride. They would say "there is bridge fee that is not included in the original price" and they would ask for it. I checked the bridges that we passed during our trip to and from nyc and they were WAY less than the amount that the drivers asked. Also, they will SET the amount of tip that they want from you and argue with you to pay that specific amount lol

Overall, I give Carmel an A-. The drivers are courteous, reliable, and efficient. If they're going to be late, they tell you in advance, so you can make other plans. The cars are clean and comfortable. I've rarely had complaints about courtesy and communication---most of the drivers are immigrants and English is not their first language. In those instances, my concerns have been listened to and I've received subsequent discounts. This is my honest opinion, but I am receiving a $10 discount coupon from Car Mel for it.

Quick ride from LGA. Faster pickup and much better car that Lyft/Uber about same cost. Way faster than taking a Taxi from LGA with the new Taxi shuttle cluster, and about the same price as a nasty Taxi to boot. Note: This is my review but I am awarded $10 Car cash from Carmel for sharing it.

This was the first time I used CarMel and it was for an Airport pickup at LaGuardia. LaGuardia airport is undergoing a huge remodel and it s a mess! My driver Zhen Xing Fei was so patient while I was walking everywhere except where my driver was. He waited for me longer than anyone should have. Thank you Again Zhen! He also drove very well. Trip from LGA to Manhattan was a breeze with the Carmel Limo app! The rate was less than Uber or Lyft! The driver got us there without incident and was super friendly and very helpful with our girls trip excessive luggage. Gonna use Carmel from now on!

First time using service and proved to be reliable. The only thing was that the driver did communicate properly in english. Our street in front of the Hotel was closed off by the Police (which is obviously not in the control of the driver or this Company) due to a parade or something. The driver called me before the agreed time to let me know about the closed street and to relocate the pick-up nearby; but I could barely understand what he tried to say to me we were slightly delayed. He made every effort to get us to the Airport and we made it on time. Would use again and recommend.

Good driver, on time and efficient through traffic. Was courteous when I was picked up but did not help with bags at JFK drop-off. Insisted on 20% tip when I wanted to give 15% (he was already getting the rest in charging full price for the toll while getting the EZ pass discount.

I didn't know the exact pick up location and the driver worked with me,found me and followed all my instructions. I was very pleased.

Good service Overall. We asked the driver if we could book him to drive someone back and he said simply no. So not super helpful, but he took us to the airport and everything was as planned

The rates seem amazing until you get to the day of pickup, then they inform you that you have to pay $15 per 15 min that they have to wait at the airport in DC. Then you have to pay for all tolls (understandable if its told in advance). Called to inform that driver was charging additional and I would use Uber instead of paying the extra charges. They clearly knew it was an international flight but decided to charge additional anyways. Got charged full price even when we did not use them. Their "fine print" is used to charge you much more than you agreed to. Expedia Itinerary # 7527473818442. If you care to look it up and be an ethical company and do what it right.

Early flight arrival, and driver was already ready to go! Clean car, courteous safe driver. Would book again. Only qualm is that their in vehicle card reader kept having errors when trying to pay tip and toll...
