I was in Manhattan for summer vacation with my family. I had no idea how to get from Manhattan (57th and 6th) to JFK. I decided to take Uber and scheduled it. The estimated price was $115. Ok. Better than taking the metro and Air Train to JFK with 4 suitcases and 3 carryons. Told my sister in law (who lives part time in Manhattan). She said to try Carmel. They use it all the time. So I did and the price was only $59. After booking, the reservation confirmation charged me only $53. Said they applied $6 of Carmel Cash or something like that. Maybe for being a first time user??? Anyway, they asked me to write a review and would give me $10 cash for a future ride if I put this following statement in my review. Who knows why. Regardless of the reason, I would use them again. Half the price of Uber. And the car/driver was probably an Uber driver anyway. I felt bad that he likely would make less than Iber so I tipped him $15.
