This is a follow up to my previous posting. Another trip with the family to New York. The limo arrived on time and the driver took a route to our destination that I was not familiar with. It was a less trafficked and faster route. On trips to NY, Carmel is my preferred service especially when with the family and all the luggage we bring. These are my words and I will receive $10 Car Cash from Carmel.

A June 2019 family visit to New York. The car was a clean large SUV and the ride was smooth. Excellent driver. There are alternatives to Carmel but the dependability of the service keeps me using them. I wrote this review and will receive $10 Car Cash from Carmel.

The driver was excellent and actually listened and took the route I preferred as oppose to many previous drivers who simply said NO . This is my review but I am awarded $10 Car cash from Carmel for sharing it.

I m receiving $10 cash for writing this review, but it is my review and opinion of CARMEL. I ve been using them for a number of years and have always found them reliable. Drivers are always on time, and often early, and very pleasant. They are my go-to car service.

Today s trip from JFK to Manhattan was perfect. The car arrived on time, and the driver was courteous. So different from my trip two weeks ago when the car was twenty seven minutes late despite three phone calls.

Always good service, show up promptly and get you to your destination with no fuss. Easy to use app

What an ABSOLUTE EFFING JOKE! Used this car service for years in my youth. Now they are too big for their breeches and accept jobs they CANNOT DO. after waiting 25 minutes for my pre-booked airport journey, I called and was told there were no cars available because of the Veterans Day parade. WTAF? That was not surprise parade surely bookings are taken with this in mind. Apparently not. I m kind of 50 shades of fuming right now. Thankfully there was a Lyft nearby - hope we can still get our flight. What a palaver!

WE would definitely use Carmel service again. The driver was punctual and the vehicle was clean. The driver got us to the airport in a timely manner. I recommend this service.

On my most recent ride to the Hamptons for a wedding, the driver was falling asleep at the wheel and swerving into traffic. I called to complain to Carmel but they would not refund me my trip fair. I strongly recommend not using this service if you value your life.

I left my phone in another state and travel weekly, so I had to order a car service for my trip to the airport. Despite not having my phone, I was notified through email and the website of the acceptance of my reservation, and closer in was able to view the exact car, driver and license plate number. Took a private car from Manhattan to JFK and it was great

We used this service to get us to and from the airport in NYC and had a great experience both times. The drivers were both very nice and both times the cars were comfortable. We felt safe and they got us too and from with no problems. We didn t have to wait but a few minutes to be picked up at the airport then when it was time to go back the driver was earlier than our reserved time so we got to the airport in plenty of time.

I scheduled a car at 5pm for 7pm pick up and they arrived a little early, which was great! Driver had a mask and gloves on and opened the door for us. The drive was smooth and quick. Also customer service is super speedy to fix and issue when I called prior to this. I called to cancel a ride the other week and they did so and refunded the money ASAP. Would totally recommend this service who needs a ride!

Very good trip. Driver arrived promptly and drove efficiently. Didn't like that he looked at a text message he got and responded with just a few clicks, but otherwise ride was good.

This is the second time I used Carmel to drop off from Newark airport to my home and I must say again great experience specially in current situation of pandemic. Extra care extra precaution and very courteous driver.

I have been using Carmel for many years, and recently I have needed to travel to NJ several times and they are always on time, the drivers are experienced and excellent drivers. I will always use Carmel whether for an airport destination or a much longer destination.

I was once a loyal customer of Carmel until a recent airport pickup at JFK. I never had an issue going TO the airport with Carmel but my experience coming home was truly horrendous. There's a reason I wanted to BOOK a car and have it waiting for me at the airport - instead of waiting for an Uber or Lyft. One would think if you BOOK a car for a specific time at the airport it would be there. However, I waited TWO hours for a car, received countless texts of car changes and car declines. Why would Carmel give drivers the option to DECLINE ME when I prepaid this car and booked it TWO WEEKS PRIOR? They already had my money for the trip! The car should have been there!!! What's the point of booking a car if it is not going to be there?! This makes Carmel no different from Uber or Lyft - Lyft by the way picked me up in less than ONE minute. While on the phone with Customer Service I expressed my frustration about booking a car for 5PM - it was now 7PM. They shouldn't give loyal customers the ability to book a car if you're just going to be declined. The dispatcher on the phone did not seem to care - responding "yeah sorry about that. I know it stinks." I found it unfathomable that he certainly didn't care if I got a car home or not. I asked for a car to get me home and that they issue a full refund. The dispatcher said he couldn't issue a refund unless I canceled my trip. Now to my wit's end, I canceled the trip for the refund (which was credited promptly)...and chose to get a Lyft which came right away. Never have I EVER experienced this. Might as well just use Uber or Lyft!

They do a good job showing up on time. The drivers have all been friendly and helpful.

I have used Carmel the last 3 times I have come to NYC. I am very impressed with their service as once I get my luggage I hit ready on the app and then everything goes smooth. I will also say we have had very nice drivers each time. The vehicles are clean and the drivers are knowledgeable and willing to give tips on what to see.

Needed a scheduled ride on Xmas eve from NJ to NYC, and it went flawlessly. We booked a week in advance and driver was on time. Trip was good. Car was great.

I have been booking cars with Carmel for several years. They aren't perfect but they are as close to perfect as I have found. What I like most about Carmel is, prices, availability, website, mobile app and most of all, air travel reward points!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used Carmel yesterday for a trip to JFK. The car was 15 minutes late but you know, you tend to be more patient when you can bring up a map using your Carmel mobile app and know exactly where your car is. I can no longer be told, "I'm 5 minutes away." When in actuality, my car is 15 minutes away.

Needed a car today for a ride to JFK. This time I couldn't use the Carmel Mobile App to locate my car. My car was 7 minutes early and you won't locate your car outside of 5 minutes. I rate you 5 stars today. Keep up the good work!

Had a very pleasant driver in a nice clean car and got me to my destination early. Will definitely be using again.

Booked a van, they sent an SUV, awesome. Driver was polite, helpful and patient despite busy and congested traffic which doubled the expected travel time. Will book Carmel Car again. Even without a 10usd off for our next booking, I would still review the same. (NYC Oct 2019)

I was very happy with the excellent service from Carmel Limo from making the reservation to being dropped at my destination. I was picked up promptly and the driver displayed my name making it easy to find him in s very crowded location. Driver was 20 minutes late - he did call to let me know, but it was a bit frustrating, as my clients were trying to close their office while I waited.

The driver decided to add another $10 for an item of luggage. This is disgusting. No one charges for luggage. We were going to the airport. I guess they are trying to do what airlines do and charge extra for luggage. I had no choice but to pay as I had a flight to catch. I won't be using Carmel Cars again. You got $10 out of me once, you won't get me again. I wish I hadn't prepaid the tip

On time Professional and I got a $10 cash reward off my next trip. Couldn't ask for better service

I had booked this car service through Viator, and this car company has to be the worst I ve ever used.
After booking there is no additional email sent to verify exact details of location pick up, or what to do after you land.
I called the company phone line where I had the most unpleasant phone conversation with the lady that answered.
Keep in mind that this is my first time in NYC EVER so I don t know where I am, nor do I know the airport - yet she still had the audacity to yell at me through the phone when I could not understand a word she was saying, nor was I familiar with where exactly I was supposed to go.
Also, toll is not included in the car ride - would have been nice to have been told that ahead of time, as for someone that doesn t carry cash with them all the time.

Overall, I should have just taken an Uber to my hotel.

This is my review and I am awarded $10 Car Cash from Carmel for sharing it, even though I would give the same review with no reward. We took Carmel from Laguardia airport into Manhattan to our hotel. We called when we got our luggage and were directed to the pickup area and the driver appeared shortly thereafter. Our driver was a native New Yorker who was able to get us to our hotel efficiently during heavy traffic. Will definitely use them again!

Driver arrived right on time and was very friendly, the car was very clean with no odor or smell. Overall an enjoyable ride from the airport into the city with no problems!

Have relied on Carmel Car for many years. Early morning pickups are best when they usually are 15 minutes early. Later in day sometimes traffic causes slight delays. Cars are clean and drivers courteous. As a terrible back seat driver it is nice to report that they drive well!

The price was very good comparing with UBER or regular cab. The driver arrived 10 min before the scheduled hour, what was good since I was going to the airport. The driver was very respectful and didn t try to have a conversation. The car was okay.

Carmel has been my first choice for car service now we the new app is better and better so easy to use and book a car. Don't get me wrong I use to call and always had a great representative but now it's faster and easier.

This car service delivers incredible service on time and every time. They are reliable and professional. We called a car to pick us up in rural Westchester after the recent tropical storm. Because of downed trees, the Carmel driver could only get within 1/2 a mile, and the lack of good cellular service made things tougher. But he got as close as he could, tried to communicate as clearly he could with a poor connection, and then waited patiently for our family, as we pulled our bags down country roads. When we found him, there was no attitude, no complaints, no extra charges--just a smile (behind the mask) and a completely professional attitude. Really impressive. That kind of service builds customers for life.

I made the mistake of arranging the car service through a package with Hotwire. There were 4 travellers so I was booked 2 car (the cars only hold 3 passengers) I called three times to change the reservation to 1 larger vehicle. This was a complete disaster it took over 3 hours and I was charged an additional $8.00 from the airport to hotel and an additional $20.00 from the hotel to the airport ????? . The fee was already $168.00 which in the end was extremely high for the service we received. The 1st driver was excellent - vehicle was clean and he was very professional. The 2nd driver was RUDE on all levels. First he came to the hotel (on time) with the wrong name on the pick up card - small mini-van - relatively clean but adequate. The first thing he wanted to know was how we were going to pay his TIP as we prepaid for the car. The entire trip he was speaking on his personal cell phone. Once we arrived at the airport we removed our bags from the vehicle and my husband gave him a tip - his comment was IS THAT ALL. I would think twice in the future about using this company.

Way more reliable then Uber. Aways on time and always willing to accommodate schedule changes. Drivers are professional and get you to the airport fast and know exactly where to go (unlike Uber) and have a sign in the window with your name when they pick you up to identify themselves. Feels safe! The only issue is 2/3 rides have had smelly cars but small issue and will still use them all the time.

I may receive carmel cash for this review, but I would say the same even if I did not receive carmel cash. I always ride with Carmel, when traveling to and from airports. Carmel service is reliable; Carmel has always been on time.

Around way before Uber and still better. Drivers actually know their way around an airports and no surcharges. Also, getting frequent flier points is a great perk.

Overall a very good experience. Driver was friendly and communicated quickly to me that he was running late do to traffic. Car was clean and the trip was very smooth and uneventful. The only issue I experienced was the app incorrectly displayed my pickup time and I had to call customer service and then agent was a bit rude as she didn't really listen to my question but she did ultimately get the issue resolved.

we were RIPPED OFF! The dispatch quoted $91 from JFK. we were charged $120 plus tip. I did n't check my email in time. the driver, who i have raised a complaint took advantage of our group. BUYER BEWARE, if you get the most dishonest driver ever, prepare to start your vacation off on the wrong foot. probably will not here back from the company as it seems they either don't care or it a so what they will be leaving soon.. So sad.

Amazing - first time that I used them to take me to JFK. Driver was there very early. Great drive and super friendly driver. Takes the stress out of flying. I continue to find Carmel Cars invariably early to arrive, clean, in excellent condition and the drivers are courteous and know Manhattan. An efficient operation. I will get a discount by placing this review, but the review is honest.

Carmel is fantastic. The drivers are nice and sociable. Cars immaculate. The customer service people on phone are very pleasant and know their stuff. Their texting and notification system is the best out of all the agencies. They immediately contact you when you arrive at airport and give very clear instructions about where to meet driver. They also make it very easy to contact driver. And the price is very reasonable. I won t use anyone else and I used to use black car service all the time.

The ride was fine, but the driver didn t get out of the car or open the door for his 82 year old passenger. Nor did he help her in with the bag she was carrying. Not polite!

I am receiving a $10 reward for writing this review, but even without the reward I still recommend Carmel. They are my go-to airport service and they have always been on time, courteous, and helpful with bags.

I have been using Carmel to travel back and forth to the hampton's before Covid and now I am using it exclusively. I had the same driver, John, pick me up today and drive me back home. He picked me up on time and was very nice, polite and knew the best routes to take. I am receiving a monetary discount of $10.00 on my next trip for writing this review but I would have written it for free.

I have used Carmel Car for many years and have always found them very reliable and well priced inside Manhattan and for trips from Long Island into the city and back again. Drivers are courteous, on time, and cars are spotless and up to date.

I can ALWAYS count on Carmel to get expedited and great service. Recently we needed to take my 98-year old mother to emergency room across town. The car came right away and the driver was so kind and helpful. Carmel is the best(!!) for any of your car needs.

This is my own truthful review, even though I might get a $10 reward for leaving it. The car service is a lot better than others that I've experienced. Besides being able to track your car arriving about 5 minutes or so, one way or the other, they are in constant contact with you, whether it's the driver or dispatch, if thetr hapoens to be a delay or so. The prices are reasonable & the staff are respectful. I would highly recommend this service to anyone needing transportation.

If you ve been to LGA recently, you know it s a bit hectic! Luckily, Carmel made it super easy to find my pick up location and vehicle. I would highly recommend using them. I have before and will continue to use them in the future! A+ service!

Our driver picked us up right on time and took us safely to our destination. It was super easy planning this ride ahead of time for our trip to New York. Carmel is offering me $10 off my next ride, but this is my own opinion.

My driver arrived quickly. Did not have a sign in the window upon arrival. Had trouble identifying himself. Did not put my bags in the trunk.

This was our first time using a car service and it was a great experience. We booked a ride from LaGuardia to our hotel and after our experience with the cab service in Manhattan we booked our return trip with Carmel.
The whole process was easy and great from the booking process to the pickup process, very seamless.

Riding with Carmel has always been a good experience for both airport transportation and hourly rides out of town. Fair prices for NYC! Their Vehicles are always very clean, late model and spacious. Their drivers, some who do not speak English very well, are very professional and lovely, and those who can, always make for great conversations. Those who do not use English as their first language always follow their GPS and ALL of the drivers are open to taking your favorite route, or follow the GPS to your destination and you can be assured you will make it to your destination worry free. The new App is phenomenal!

I use Carmel for most of my airport trips and it's always a good experience. This past trip I ordered an SUV because we had four people with a lot of luggage, and had a very pleasant trip to the airport. A second review: I just came in on a redeye and called Carmel from the airport, without having made a reservation in advance. As always, they were prompt, professional, and courteous. Using Carmel definitely makes traveling easier.

Beware of no show drivers and service. Although there are many positive reviews, don't be fooled. Carmel may work for airport service but for all other trips outside of their "range" they have always been a no show. Even with all their clever "booked reservation" emails and "confirmation numbers," which mean absolutely nothing except that they confirm that they charged your credit card, this car service will abandon your elderly mother in the middle of nowhere, make you miss your plane and generally will ruin whatever important plans you may have that rely on you being picked up and driven to a destination. You get what you pay for and you will do much better relying on an Uber. They might have been good 30 years ago.
