Today at Canyon to inform and buy a bike. At first, I was extremely surprised by the size of the showroom and the rush for a Saturday. I got a Wait buzzer and a voucher for a coffee, which by the way was very good!

After about 40 minutes of waiting and a few very nice conversations, it was my turn. Despite the rush, the employee took a lot of time for me, answered my questions and problems and advised me objectively. I was by no means recommended the next wheel, but even more honestly said that the cheaper option would also be enough.

After surveying, I was finally able to test three models and after each trip, pros and cons were discussed.

In the end, I made an order with the best of my conscience. So I imagine a detailed and informative, factual sales pitch. The employee was interested and competent at all times and gave me an authentic way of trying to find the right bike for me.

I'm just curious if, like many others, I have to wait forever for the bike. Until then, I'm just optimistic.

Good atmosphere at the Canyon centre in Koblenz, with plenty of cycling fans checking the store (which shows some of the bikes used by great cyclists, eg Nairo Quintana) and having the possibility of doing test rides on some of the latest Canyon models. Service Center was good; maybe a bit expensive, but bike was returned on time and, for a bike bought more than five years ago and after training heavily on it for some seasons, was returned in neat condition - almost as new.

Hi ! Thanks very much for making an amazing good frame (bike) Lux sl 6.0*. However the front suspension rock shox sid select and the nx derailor are very bad and should not be on a frame of this quality. the fork is so hard that the rear suspension is the only one that move whit small hits . It did come whit very little oil and when I did the service my self * because im not going to stay whit out a bike that i just buy for two weeks * no service in switzerland *, the oil for this specific fork accordion to rock shox web did not work ! . anyway i guess that is what i pay for . i should have pay for the xt model whit fox fork . i know this is not you fall , you just receive what rock shox send you. im just wanted to let you know, and please tell them that I will never buy something from rock shox. The NX derailor is just to cheep !!! for a frame of these quality . Finally please say thank you very much to the engineers that designed this Amazing Lux frame.

Unfortunately, my experience with Canyon is not so...

Unfortunately, my experience with Canyon is not so good. A couple of months ago, I bought a Lux CF SLX 9.0. The bike came on time and no issues to assemble. On first ride, the rear disc brakes failed. I contacted Canyon who were, in fairness, quick to respond, and they asked me to take the bike to a local store for repair and they would transfer me the money to cover it. I was lucky enough to get my bike into a shop and they repaired the brakes (bleeding etc. required). For the next 6 weeks, everything about the bike was perfect. I loved it.

On a ride one evening, I heard a strange noise coming from my rear wheel. When I got home, I checked and it seemed the freehub was broken. I emailed Canyon (unfortunately the only way to speak them these days) and in meantime, brought my bike to local bike store. They confirmed the freehub was indeed broken and that the wheel needs to go back to Canyon. I actually live only 1hr 30 from Canyon HQ so I figured best to bring the wheel to them instead of via courier. Unfortunately it took Canyon almost a week to get back to me via email to tell me it was OK to bring the wheel to their HQ (with COVID restrictions, I wanted to be sure I could do that and not waste my time on a 3hr round trip).

This morning I arrived at Canyon HQ (which is very cool btw), I waited only 20-30 mins to be seen by the workshop. The staff were very nice and they did a quick inspection of my wheel and confirmed the the freehub was 'kaput' and that the wheel needed to go back to the manufacturer, Reynolds. I expected this, so no issue. However, when I was told this process would take c. 5-6 weeks, I asked if it would be possible to get a replacement wheel to do me until I get my wheel was back. They said absolutely not and that I would just have to wait. To me, this really is unacceptable. This is a very expensive bike which is less than 2 months old. I would completely understand if I had damaged the bike in an accident, but the freehub braking is nothing to do with they way I rode the bike. I'm not exactly fit, so my riding is limited to forest roads or normal roads. I am meticulous with my bikes and wash/lube etc after each ride.

I do hope someone at Canyon reads this. I have also given similar feedback via a survey they sent out. Despite this, I actually want to order another bike from Canyon (this time the Grail). Their bikes are fantastic imo but situations like this are extremely frustrating. I now will have no bike for 2 months effectively (from wheel braking to getting it back). I can't envisage something like this happening with any other provider. By the time I get it back, it will be winter and the opportunity to ride in the evenings after work are gone. That is a real shame.

I would like to report positively about my new bike, but unfortunately I cannot do it because it has been waiting for a repair for 2 months now and this is largely due to the poor service from Canyon.
I am shocked by the underground service and would have liked more support for a bike in the mid four-digit price range.
Unfortunately, I can only advise everyone against ordering a bike there.

I have been waiting for a warranty claim to be processed (crack in the context of my Canyon Commutor) since November 2019. It only took 2 months until I finally got information from the workshop to send the bike in and now I have been waiting for another month.

For itself, Canyon has great bikes, if they come .... Have 2 months ago ordered a bike (> 3000 ), shipping date was given to me for the first week of August. For safety, I asked again in late July, then it was said the date is still and everything i.O. Darafhin I have put my holiday in the 4th (!) Week of August to test the bike extensively. In the meantime, the appointment was postponed by a week back, but I was told on site that would definitely work out. Now I was told at the end of the 3rd week of August, new date at the earliest end of September. Thanks for nothing, holiday canceled because of concentrated incompetence. But main thing 2 weeks held out. After 3 bikes at Canyon now none will come to, because now the price advantage over the competition thanks to the Internet is not so big that it is worth the trouble.

In addition to that, although i have canceled my order Canyon is asking my experience about the purchase process. Well sorry but there need to be a refresh in following system. Something was defective during the warranty period. I was generously promised that I would get the money back.

I was supposed to go to a bike shop in my area and get it repaired and get the money back from Canyon. Weeks have now passed and there is no response to my emails. I sit on the damage. I'm not going to the lawyer because of the amount, but I'm disappointed.
Ordinary emails are either not replied to or not answered correctly (presumably the emails are not read correctly).

Nothing can beat the price/quality of Canyon. I purchased 2 years ago my first one and recently a new one and I never had a moment where I was doubting my purchase.

Only downside I can mention is that I was not correctly helped by customer support when I had an issue with my order.

Prices really good bike you buy in the store would cost at least 30% more. this is obviously feasible thanks to the online purchase which bypasses the cost of the brokerage of the store.
in fact to mount a bike shipped from them it takes very little because you just attach the front wheel, the seat, handlebars and inflate the cushion if there is.
the only problem would be to a fault, but in this case also bringing in the store then it will have to send it in place so it is something that can be done by us.

Bad service underground. I hope for all Canyon customers that your bike never has to go to the Canyon service center. What you experience here is catastrophic.
Agreements are not kept. Appointments are far in the future and will not be met afterwards. The incompetence in terms of scheduling started with the purchase of my canyon. I will close the Canyon chapter as soon as my bike has "served".

I was very happy with my canyon bicycle until that I experienced their terrible after sales service (or rather lack of service): with some patience you can talk with their after sales that promised me a crash replacement but then nothing happens because they do not even have access to the material on stock and every time you talk with somebody else. Chat function never worked and the emails I got from their workshop contradicted themselves or did not offer any workable solution.
If you are not able to set up a reasonably working after sales service, you should not sell your bikes directly.

I ordered my first MTB from Canyon in mid-June. The bike was delivered within two weeks. I was extremely satisfied and enthusiastic about the top quality! I then ordered some accessories from Canyon. Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed by a total of four weeks, which I was still able to partially understand due to Corona. I sent one of the accessories back. That was six weeks ago - I am waiting to this day for the refund of the purchase price paid in advance! I have already contacted the Service Center several times by e-mail, and I was always put off (the returned goods still have to be checked, there was an error in the booking system, etc.). I didn't think that I would have to run for my money with a manufacturer like Canyon ... What a shame, Canyon! Never again!

The Canyon Experience was second to none: both online & , when needed, contacting the regional call centre. The bike took 8 days from online purchase to arrival in North Queensland (AUS); arrived in perfect condition & local bike shop was able to assemble in short timesframe. True to form, the bike has performed on NQs rocky flats & steep climbs.

So the store is very cool, as is the concept. The staff is very friendly and everything is very professional in terms of sales
BUT the service is a disaster. I had a problem with the gear shift during the warranty period. I have opened an e-mail ticket (warranty / service cases will not be accepted by phone). Then no one reported for 2 weeks. Then I got angry again and sent mails and called (incl. Eternal waiting times in the telephone queue). I was told that if you send mails with a repair appointment again, you will continue to slide back in time. Anyway ... I got a service appointment at the end of May (that's about 2 months waiting time!) (And that was Corona). Ultimately, I had the bike repaired at the dealer around the corner. It took a day.
Conclusion: due to the poor service, I will never buy a bike from Canyon again! You only seem to be interested in sales and not in after sales service. Too bad.

It is a great value for money.

It is a great value for money.
It was a long-distance carbon model of the rim brake, S size, Ultegra specification, 7.4 kg when weighed with a pedal.
There is little loss of power, and we can move forward well.
It was easy to assemble.
This is 220,000 yen excluding tax!
The frame is also beautifully crafted, and there is no perfect spot.

I can understand because of the corona time, the shipping option is extremely burdened. But that I order on May 6th, I will get shipping notification on May 11th. Now on May 15th the post will receive the package and unfortunately nothing has changed in the status until now. Annoying.
Customer hotline no telephone or live chat contact possible.
Since you would like to have it done via the mail request. Made and done 2 times and still no answer.
I've been riding my Canyon MTB FULLY for 9 years.
Extremely disappointed not that I didn't receive my package!
But that nobody can be reached!

I like the fact that i am directly dealing with manufacturer. But there are some negatives, like i cant check the bike before buying, have to rely completely on online reviews. Also dont have any authorized service center to be sure that my bike will be serviced as per the company standards.

About the product line, there are not much color options (forget about the likes of Trek Project One). I have to rely on whatever is available. Also there should be questionnaires to suggest customer about choosing the right product. Like i might have gone for Carbon bike than the Aluminum frame. The handle bars are not very comfortable compared to Flat bar dropbars and there are no options as well. Bike specifications on site will not tell you the tyre size you can use on a partcular frame. Also there are no mounting holes for mudguards. Overall, I feel okay but not Happy.

Initially happy with the purchase of two bicycles based on the price, quality of components, and show room presentation.

Unfortunately we had issues with the quality of assembly of one bicycle (detailed below), order delivery exceeded promised date by 6 weeks, and encouraging VAT fraud (multiple vat forms on same day for two separate bikes.)

Rear derailer was assembled poorly. The result was the derailer pressing into rear sprocket when suspension was compressed, causing the bike to lock rear tire. Seat post cable unattached, causing seat to drop but not return to upright position.

Encouraging the purchase of two bicycles on two separate VAT excemption forms on same date will result in a violation. US military and government employees beware of this practice as you will lose your Privileges.

Bicycle concepts (have an Inflite AL SLX and an Exceed CF SLX): 5 stars
Bike quality: 5 stars for the Exceed, 1 star for the Inflite (see below)
Customer service: Unfortunately only 1 star, processes have to be significantly better, see below.

Actually great bikes with a good price-performance ratio, BUT obviously poor quality on the aluminum frame of the Inflite and faulty processes in service:

On my Inflite AL SLX, I already had two cracks in the frame at the transition from the top tube to the seat tube. The first time I complained, I sent the bike in and got it back relatively quickly. However, there was an invoice with the bike that I naturally ignored. Then came reminders. After I disagreed, a phone call came with an apology.
When the second crack occurred, I received the frame with the option of exchanging the frame at the dealer for a refund from Canyon. Now I have received the second reminder for the frame and despite three requests, the costs for the frame exchange have not been reimbursed, I've been waiting for about 4 weeks. Obviously there are not only quality problems with the bike but also errors in the processes for handling warranty cases due to the repetition of the reminders.
Personally, I no longer have the confidence that Canyon can cope with the current market situation. I hope to get better, because I really like my bikes.

UPDATE 8/20/20: After my recession I got an answer after all.

Quality products, great design and affordable prices.
The after sales service is very reliable and efficient too.
I would not go to any other bicycle retailer and I don t mind not seeing the products in real life before buying them.
There are plenty of reviews and YouTube videos to support what I can tell about Canyon Bikes.

Canyon Polska - multiple warranty claim.
In 2013, I buy Canyon Nerve bike (recently replaced by Neuron). In 2017, the frame in the area of the seat-post attachment cracks. The frame is replaced by the manufacturer as a warranty claim. In October 2020, the frame cracks again in the same place. A warranty claim is rejected by Canyon. Canyon claims that the warranty expires at the end of 6 years from the date of purchase of the bicycle. Pursuant to the provisions of Polish law: "If, in the performance of his obligations, the guarantor provided the holder of the warranty with an item free of defects instead of the defective item or made significant repairs to the item covered by the warranty, the warranty period starts anew from the moment of delivery of the item free of defects or return of the repaired item (Civil Code Art. 581 par. 1). This means that the 6-year warranty period is counted from the date of replacing the frame with a new one. After numerous interactions Canyon re-examined the case and the warranty was acknowledged. As the old frame was not longer available Canyon provided a newer, fully compatible platform from year 2016. At present I await the frame replacement. Many thanks for Canyon Poland Team for their professional cooperation throughout the process.

The business can be easily reached by car, bicycle...

The business can be easily reached by car, bicycle or public transport. Even with many customers, the employees take enough time to advise the individual customer extensively and the test drive can, after measuring the customer to determine the correct size of the bike and deposit an identification document, take a little longer, but only on the actual company premises. The formalities for the purchase, as well as the delivery options and collection on site were sufficiently explained. Overall, I rate the shopping experience very positively, as I can not currently assess how future workshop visits or comparable visits will be. I was informed by the seller that registration for inspection should be done five weeks in advance.
UPDATE, February 2020: Inspections are only carried out from Tuesday to Friday! Due to these not very customer-friendly times and the fact that this is not mentioned on the homepage and that rental bikes are not even offered for the possible period of delivery, I only give two stars! I see customer service in the 21st century differently!

Despite some negative comments I bought an Nerve AL 8 WMN.
Service was top. Delivery one week earlier than promised.
The bike in real is even much better than I expected. The bike is so much better what the local dealer offered me.It rides and looks amazing !
I had an problem with my headset and also here the spare part was delivered within a few days. So I m supper happy with my bike and I will recommend Canyon to all my friends.

Unbelievably bad service with bigger problems.

Unbelievably bad service with bigger problems.

At the end of July 2019, we chose two Spectral CFR 9.0s in size S and L. Together, we invested just under EUR 10,000. The delivery time for both bikes was great, after payment within 2-3 days there. The assembly instructions by Canyon are clear and understandable. For the assembly of Canyon supplied everything necessary (torque wrench and assembly paste), so that nothing stands in the way of assembly. After initial joy, unfortunately, then began the ordeal.

The one MTB in Gr. S has been delivered with a scratched frame. Then went back directly as transport damage. Two weeks passed before the new bike arrived. Fortunately, the second bike arrived undamaged. However, we had to readjust the rear wheel and front wheel of the dealer, as it cracked in the rear wheel (cassette was not tightened tight and some spokes were too loose (light punch).) The brake disc on the front wheel was also bent and had to be exchanged taken over here by Canyon.

After almost two months and several hours in the chat and the hotline, the bike is now fine.

The MTB Gr. L initially seemed to be alright. Although the top-cap was totally scratched, nothing is now world-moving, but annoying and unacceptable for a bike in this price range.

After the first tour we had to realize that the front wheel unfortunately also has to be a dealer, because the front wheel had a stronger punch (the cost for the Nachzentrieren and the new top cap was taken over by Canyon).
Then the shock after a month (41 days) and 120 km we discovered a crack in the frame when cleaning at the seat post deadlock. Of course we checked the bikes at the beginning, but a hairline crack in the carbon under the paint can be overlooked. All screws were properly tightened with the torques printed on the frame. The damage was reported immediately to Canyon and now I wait for over 3 weeks for a response from Canyon. Even after repeated inquiries by phone no reaction from Canyon, only information is that the case is in the department for examination. The approach of Canyon is absolutely incomprehensible.

Conclusion:

After just under 1.5 months, we have a bike which after several attempts is now fine and a bike that is in the basement and waiting for the season to end. Thus invested 5000 and get nothing for it.

From the current point of view, this was our last purchase at Canyon. Although the bikes are the best value for money makes a purchase at Canyon due to the lack of service in larger problems makes no sense. We therefore advise against investing large sums in this brand. To have 5000 unused in the basement without knowing how to proceed is really unbelievably bad.

Best bike so far. For the bike itself there are 5/5 stars, unfortunately a star deduction for the service. More about that right now.
Design top, delivery very good, super easy and of course the equipment is unbeatable for the price.
Direct sales stop. Service sometimes takes a bit of time for feedback and you can never get by on the phone!
Information on delivery times are rather rough forecasts.
Had last year ordered a bike that after 3 months still did not come even though it should take 6-8 weeks.
After many emails nobody could tell me more.
Abbestellt and been sad.
Next year try again with another model.
Delivery time was again specified with 6-8 weeks, but this time the device came after 2 weeks!
Super happy since then.
But the service seems a bit understaffed for the big demand.
Conclusion: cool bikes at unbeatable prices, service can still be improved!

I bought a Commuter 8.0. I have no other words to explain my costumer experience with the bike and the product I've purchase: all perfect. The bike itself is a spacecraft made for pleasure and convenience to ride in the urban jungle. All was thought for bike parts safety against roberry, if you buy a good U lock, like I did, Kryptonite New York and register in their protection program against theft. The bikes is smooth to ride, very responsive and agile and have all you need for commuting and to bike trips.

In principle, I am really a fan of Canyon and the bikes (MTB area). I already have an MTB and wanted to get a city bike. Unfortunately, you cannot rely on the expected delivery time. Shipping my bike has been overdue for 3 weeks. Only when you inquire will you get the answer that it will take another 3-4 weeks. Was similar on my first bike but not as bad as this time!

Would be dependent on the delivery and will now unfortunately cancel it and look for a timely alternative.

Good bikes! I love it! Especially without 3rd party dealers, amazing price. This is not going to be my only bike! My next bike surely will be CANYON again if the design and colour excites me! Hahahahaha!!!

I give 4 stars because the head tube got some minor painting imperfections which the paint chip off. I would give 5 stars if everything was in perfect condition!

Picked up my canyon montainbike directly in Koblen...

Picked up my canyon montainbike directly in Koblenz (Showromm) on February 7th, 2020.
Before that, I and my buddy gave us detailed and professional advice from Frederik in Koblenz at the beginning of December. Thanks again Frederik !!!!!
I wanted to order my dream bike in December, but this was not possible due to the hacker attack on Canyon (cash payment when picking up)
Through countless calls (which were often annoying and without information about the current status) ....... on the telephone hotline, I finally succeeded in Denis. This friendly and cool employee was finally able to get my order after 5 weeks with pickup in the showroom accept.
Thanks again to you that the order and collection will go smoothly within 2 weeks
went over the stage.
I'm super happy now and have a lot of fun with my first canyon bike and have been on tour many times.

The service is a disaster. I have been waiting for a year to send me a piece for my bike. Your online store does not work either. You think you have placed an order and it turns out that they are not processed correctly. Impossible to trust.

I am absolutely thrilled and cannot understand the...

I am absolutely thrilled and cannot understand the many negative reviews. Was on site on Wednesday for advice. After an hour of waiting, a consultant took a lot of time to test various mountain bikes with me and to finish an order. Today (the Monday after) I received my bike from the post office.
This is what I call service. Gladly again immediately!

Canyon is known to build great bikes. However, I have spare parts (bushings and bearings for MTB swingarm) needed, I could not order directly but had to go through a repair operation AND the whole took 3 weeks. 3 weeks for standard material, bike is 2013er year.

after 2 months riding my canyon bike, i must admit...

after 2 months riding my canyon bike, i must admit i am extremely satisfied by the product itself but also by canyon support advices in bike & parts according to my experience and habits. My customer experience was great even when the parcel was delivered : the bike & parts were definetly well protected and packaged, it was like opening a jewel box ! Am i making too much ? well no.

seriously i scan most of bike market and i didn t find yet a best quality / price ratio
