Very good days,
To the question if I am satisfied with my Canyon. YES, and exceeded expectations.
Highlight the entire process. From the purchase to the waiting reception of the bike guard .
Once you open the box you see the careful preparation of it and the simplicity to finish assembling it.
Once put on the track-road ... uff ... SPECTACULAR.

Canyon:
+ very chic bikes with great driving characteristics

- very bad service: hardly attainable, no answer to mails, months of waiting for orders, weeks of waiting without information in the workshop
- poor frame quality (aluminum frame broken after 20 months)

Canyon builds great bikes, which are almost all characterized by a very unique and chic design. However, I had to wait half a year for each of my two canyons, although the first time I apologized with a system change and a new distribution center, which is not yet functioning smoothly. So they got a second chance when I bought a racing bike 1.5 years later after MTB. I was promised that the transition problems would be over, but this time it took several months to deliver. The annoying thing about it was that this waiting time was never set in advance, but that delivery dates were not always met and were continually being delayed. In the chat you didn't know what was communicated in the emails, there was contradictory information from various employees, extremely difficult to reach by phone - one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, the shop seems to be completely overloaded. It is of no use if the managing director Roman Arnold writes a "personal (apology) letter" to the "dear customers".

I would never have brought the bikes to Koblenz or sent them for normal service and maintenance tasks. The situation is different if the frame suffers a fatigue fracture during the guarantee period (after 20 months) and you are dependent on the performance of the dealer / manufacturer. I handed in my bike there in December 2017 and all I was told was that the bike had to be checked by an expert and only then did I find out whether I was entitled to a guarantee. But you could already tell me that my frame is unfortunately no longer being produced and that my color and size are no longer available. I haven't heard anything since. My e-mails are not answered, the store cannot be reached by phone, in chat one is put off that "the colleagues take care". Too bad Canyon, very too bad, I really liked you. Needless to say that I will no longer buy a bike there. To be continued ....

I was just about to start my bike tour along the M...

I was just about to start my bike tour along the Moselle when my gearshift failed. At the reception I showed my bike and was put in line in front of the workshop. After waiting 30 minutes, I heard that no third-party bikes were being repaired: (I showed my bike to several employees, the man at the workshop entrance could see my bike the whole time. Good service is different. Perhaps all employees should be trained again, over 30 minutes for nothing, never again.

I found Canyon to be very friendly and helpful when dealing with some minor issues following purchasing a carbon MTB and an electric MTB. This is one of the reasons I would recommend Canyon. The bikes are superb quality and quick delivery also.

Good price / performance ratio, good standard additional equipment included. But I would appreciate a more accurate indication of the weight of bicycles (also in the range of different sizes), because this is pretty clever if you are a bit more demanding cyclist.

POTENTIAL CANYON CUSTOMERS DO NOT order bicycles here. I picked a bike from the middle price shelf, but customer service is a TRAGEDY that allows me to showcase the entire buying process of a Canyon bike:
1) When you place an order, wait 1 day for confirmation
2) So that an invoice could be paid, I shortened a week of waiting THIS TIME by calling the company (but it took me 3 hours to wait for a call from a man on the hotline).
After the intervention, the bill came the same day
PEOPLE IN CANYON TRY ALL THE TIME IT'S THEIR MISTAKE
At every stage of the buying process, you will hear that they have already sent, done and therefore contacted their silent side
3) The invoice number to Germany on the invoice, so I transferred and hoped that the delivery would correspond to the delivery date set by the company (the goods were in stock, so don't worry that the time will be longer because they have to be produced).
4) after waiting for the maximum delivery date and of course the lack of a bike, another contact with the hotline and further hours lost while waiting for a connection and here
"It was worth the wait," I already know. When I transferred the money to the account indicated on the bill, I made another mistake. I could guess or read in the fine print that I should transfer what is on the bill to another account (BUT IS IT LEGAL OR I MAY LOSE A MONEY AND A BIKE? :)
SUMMARY: YOU DO NOT WANT TO WASTE TIME, NERVE, OR BE GUILTY OF A BUGGED PURCHASE. DO NOT BUY CANYON BICYCLES.

I am very happy with my purchase.

I am very happy with my purchase.
The price-performance ratio at Canyon is best for me.
Only the unpacking experience could be better.
I would have liked to have had a video of every single step to assemble, just to be on the safe side.
The videos on YT are not easy to find and are not very helpful.
A QR code with a link to the instructions for the exact bike you bought would be nice.
The delivery time of spare parts is faster than indicated.

There has been a small complaint, which has been handled without any problems, despite the communication has only been via email. Fantastic service and great trust in the customer!

Especially for the way to work I bought a Commuter 7.0. The transaction of the purchase was very fast and satisfactory. The bike itself is in my opinion a little too sporty for use, but that's a matter of taste. What I was not so good: The front wheel was dismantled and that I had to adjust the disc brake after installation, is understandable. That I also had to correct the disc brake rear, although the rear wheel was already assembled, opens up to me not. I do not shrink from such interventions. Someone else, however, might be overwhelmed with adjusting a disc brake. I think you can expect a bike of 2,000 that the disc brake does not grind at the rear, if it was pre-adjusted by the factory. Overall, I am very happy with the bike. Since you can only give full stars, I round to 5.

Aftersales service really sucks, for more than a month parts or not available on the website "out of stock" .If you buy a bike, you want to use it and not waiting up till 3 weeks to get a smal item like a hanger or shifter. Most hangers or even out of stock on the website, even for more than a month. On the website they have a "components" part, just try to find your component(s), for example an Aeroad seat-post, it's not on the list, also like many other things aren't on the list or difficult to find, don't worry about prices, if parts aren't available, for prices it's just the same, service = real zero.

Never again!

For a few weeks now I have been thinking about adding a Canyon Grail, I have intensively dealt with the information on the (rather confusing) homepage and then went to Koblenz and tested the bike and examined it live.

Since it was suspected that, thanks to Corona, restrictions can be expected, I wanted to find out in advance by phone what the procedure was like on site. By phone? Nothing. Dozens of call attempts, the same announcement again and again that you are so overloaded and that you don't want any customer to hang around for a long time. Instead, you should rather write an email. Is this the kind of modern, fast customer communication in the 21st century? Certainly not.

So we traveled to Koblenz without any information, after all the homepage gives information about the opening times on site. 2 hours drive, you like to do it if it's worth it.
On site we were greeted by a pavilion with the inscription "Registration". The moderately cheerful lady in the tent then briefly informed us that a visit to the shop "simply" was not possible. We are only allowed to go to the store with a "consultant". But you are welcome to put us on the waiting list. When asked how long the waiting for admission would take, she said with a wink, "I can safely say that it will be something today".
Artificial scarcity is often used by emerging companies as a marketing measure. Here at Canyon, the shot goes backwards. I have rarely seen poorer customer orientation and will now spend my bike budget elsewhere with a clear conscience.
Too bad for time, too bad for fuel. Never Canyon again!

Needed a replacement part because a screw on my neuron broke. The mail was sent on Monday morning, and the service received a response on the same day that the screw was made ready for dispatch. The next day the package was already in my mailbox. Thanks for the quick help!

Bikes very well packaged, just a slight scratch on a gallows, but acceptable.
Easy assembly and accessible to any good handyman.
Too bad we can not order 2 bikes at the same time.
So I received them on 2 different days.

If looking for high spec at a reasonable price, go Canyon. I have a new bike that I would have had to pay at least 1.5K more if bought through a high street store. It s a little unnerving buying without trying, but the online chat and support is superb. Postage and shipping faultless. The only minor gripe, and it is a minuscule one, there s no flexibility in your order. I d asked if I could have a different sized cassette (on my beautiful new carbon di2 bike) but was told wasn t possible. A shame but, as I said, not a big issue. I m a very happy customer.

Definetely the best cost benefit in Europe. The bikes have better prices than the other brands, the delivery time took a little because of the COVID19, and they had a delivery time mistake in the website, that's the only reason I have 4 out of 5, which they have changed just after closing the purchase, very annoying situation. The saddle came with low quality glue, but I understand it is not Canyon product and they have fixed it.

Spot on service, ordered an ebike during lockdown, and while it wasn t perfect (missing charger & bushing collapsing within 100kms riding) the team couldn t have been more helpful. I d always judge a company not by how few mistakes are made, but how they rectify them if they unfortunately happen. 10/10 Well done.

When we went there (and we are no-money bike freaks) it was so much fun. You could see different bikes and got information about the engineering behind the development. They have a cafe and... Most importantly... we were able to try a couple of bikes. Even got them fitted first by a very nice gentleman.

The bike comes very well packed, you just have to mount the seatpost and the handlebars, the truth is that it has been very simple, the problem has been the shipping time, well above the expected, specifically from December 23 to 30 January, apparently because of a computer attack on the Canyon website, although they have always answered all the emails I sent for information.
Very happy with the benefits of the bike.
As a suggestion I would make a more manageable manual or a quick assembly triptych.

I m riding 2 canyon bikes, one of them is the new Lux wich is my best choice that I could ever made in 2019 for a full suspension crosscountry/trail bike. Behind the bikes, there is more to say. Everytime when I have got problems or questions, the crew was there to respond for me even if crowded.

If you want a modern and serious company to collaborate with, and bikes with good quality-price ratio, I definetly recommend to take Canyon Bikes into consideration.

My bike order went through and was delivered within the stated timescales. I am very pleased with my new bike and feel as though I have made an excellent purchase. The only thing that prevents me posting a full five stars is that I felt uncomfortable with the limited means of being able to contact someone if a problem arises. I had a minor issue but noted that the chat line was not manned and there is no UK telephone number to be able to speak to a person direct. As it worked out my minor issue was dealt with by e-mail but there should be other means of communication available. Not sure if you can blame the virus for this one as I would have thought home working would be made available to staff. Just a thought.

I totally loved it. Very impressed with the fast service (i.e took a week for delivery). Only issue is that I am a short person and with the cockpit I am slightly stretched. I now need to get a stem and handlebar. So to allow somebody a choice of stem and so forth when purchasing.

There is only one thing to be improved -
the customization of some parts.
I mean: crank s length, wheels specifications and kassette. NOT more! - only few important parts.
Every other aspect of service is at the high level : delivery time, packaging, manuals and tools, prices, quality of frames!

Absolute disaster! It is of course a brilliant move to run a band announcement and simply switch off the phone.
This saves discussions with stupid customers.
Nothing has happened for 3 weeks! Bicycles ordered, money transferred, delivery date passed, as an excuse a few standard phrases, further standard phrases on request, even worse excuses on repeated demand. If this continues, we will probably have to cancel the order, otherwise summer is over and we are still waiting.
I would almost describe a company that switches off its phone as dubious. If we did that in our dealership, the local press would probably report it after 2 days and we would be the laughing stock of the region.

To open some eyes here ... The whole thing has nothing to do with the corona thing. I bought a fully in 2004, which arrived with a dent in the frame. No transport damage. I gave up on the phone hotline after a week. Only standardized responses came to emails. I gave up in frustration at some point. Bought of course never again. Since then I've been following the reviews. The same excuses over and over again. Restructurings in IT, warehousing, payment methods blah blah ... nothing has changed how you get to know through the bank to this day ...

Customer service was great and the bike (endurace) is great out of the box!

Delays, delays, delays...

EDIT: Original rating was one star. I was contacted by Canyon to try to resolve this issue. In the end, they could ship me the same model that I ordered but in a different colour with only a few days of delay compared to the original schedule. I appreciate the effort made by Canyon but deplore the fact that only a social media rant can have an effect and that a simple phone call to their customer service gets ignored.

I ordered an Ultimate bike beginning of March. I was informed during purchase that the bike would be ready to ship between the 1st and 5th of April. I ordered specifically that one because the other model that I was interested in (Aeroad) was not available until the 22-26 of March.

I have a training camp beginning of May so I absolutely need the bike before the 30th of April. Then, one week before it was supposed to be shipped, I received a first email saying that there would be one week of delay. I thought it might be tight with delivery but that I would probably still get the bike in time.

However, two more weeks pass and I get another email saying that my bike has been delayed further, until the 22-26 of March. It is now very unlikely that I will receive my bike on time. When I called to enquire about a possible solution to get my bike before the 30th, the only thing that their "support" told me is that they would be happy to transfer me to the cancellation department if I wished to cancel the order.

What a joke and what a poor customer service! Absolutely unacceptable... Now I will probably have to cancel the order since there is no point in getting the new bike after my training camp.

Just find Canyon awesome! Advice, products, price / performance simply worlds better than that of the competition. Picking up on site is always a nice experience, because you can always meet like-minded people with goodies and good coffee and you can exchange ideas. Having bikes sent also works flawlessly. So far, I have nothing to complain about and hope that Canyon will remain true to its line.

My Grail CF SLX has a broken frame, a warranty request was made over 4 weeks ago. So far, neither the promised shipping label nor any further information about the waiting time have been received. After 3 Canyon bikes this is probably the last thing I bought there, the "service" has become so bad that it is worth looking for other manufacturers. - Corona or not, you should be able to hire new staff, if that doesn't work you should first concentrate on existing customers instead of stimulating the sale of more bikes. The problem only gets bigger, day by day ...

Honestly at first we were big fans. The people there make a nice impression of the chat works. ..Everything great. Have then our 2000 Euro wheel ordered in December to make it come the end of March is-what we have been repeatedly confirmed.
Well, the time of delivery was around, they even called us to tell us they had forgotten one wheel to produce -unseres Ja ne is clear - I think immediately.
Then it was wheel is ready for April 24.
Yesterday there was an e mail wheel until the end of May is produced.
No reaction to mails, phone calls trying Chat.
My husband was all serious fobbed off with NEM 30 Euro voucher.
again tried to call there tomorrow.
Since it's my money that's in this bike I am now about to invade with the police there to get my money back to me!
Team movistar with Nairo Quintana absolutely sympathetic but not -canyon.
Can and must unfortunately really advise!

I've been waiting for my fully paid bike for 4 weeks now. No way to reach someone via phone / chat. Mail replied after a week that the problem was allegedly solved. That was not the case. Package is somewhere in Germany and I don't get any updates.

Good communication must be guaranteed at least even in times of crisis (# corona2020).
