Had to take my car in because the check engine light came on a few days after I got my oil changed. I always have an issue getting a loaner and I had planned a family outing which I needed a vehicle for. Eric was my service advisor and he made sure that I got a loaner and that my car was thoroughly checked and gave a detailed explanation of what was going on. I strongly recommend if you go to have Eric as your service advisor. He is awesome!

I have had the chance to deal with them on a few of occasions and have never considered setting foot on their property since. It is amazing what an impression a business can leave on people without people knowing the truth. I simply wouldn't purchase my BMW there if the next closest one where on the west coast. I am leaving out the ddetails. BUT
let me assure that i am not one of those folks who only leaves a partial story and include a pertinent fact that changes the story. THAT should tell you something. It has to do with the quality of people working there. I wrote this because I saw a commercial on tv. You can change the perception of people obeo time or gain new customers but certain experiences can simply not be forgotten. Americans tend to forget. I don't. I will never purchase a BMW at that BMW of Sterling

Our Client Advisor was Karl Mackey. Mr. Mackey was truly exceptional. He was fully versed in all aspects of the vehicle itself as well as all of the "routines" that are usually so incomprehensible to the purchaser. All of our questions were answered completely. We were never pressured to make any decisions, and when we did decide we were confident that we had been given all of the information necessary. We were treated as valued individuals by Mr. Mackey, his manager Tos Chesson, and Finance Manager George Jajonie who were all professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. We would recommend highly BMW of Sterling for a thoroughly professional and pleasant car purchase experience.

Marco at the Service Desk did a great job taking care of me, and the managerial staff were also on-hand and accessible to answer questions. I highly recommend this location!

This dealership look good from outside and inside. May be you can buy a car if there is good offer because you cannot expect great offers from them. Serving and follow ups wise I can rate them as horrible, worst, annoying, disgusting etc. they don't have a dedicated person to take service appointments. If you don't believe me, you can try calling them and have your own single start experience of your life

The organization of the maintenance area was excellent as was my service advisor, Mr. Mark Kwon. This was my first experience with a BMW garage in the USA, I relocated here from Heidelberg Germany less than a year ago. Without a doubt, the efficiency of the staff as well as the condition of the intake and maintenance area was on par with the best I have seen in Germany. I needed a replacement car for two days, and BMW picked up the cost for that, although it was a Toyota. I am both surprised and pleased and will, no doubt, return to Sterling for subsequent maintenance and recommend the center to my colleagues who own BMW vehicles.

I just want to show the people my experience with this crappy dealership. What they have done to me I hope this doesn t happen to the next person after reading this review. I traded my 2015 dodge challenger 392 SRT for a 2014 BMW 550i fully loaded with 5600 miles. Seller, great guy told me right before I purchased the vehicle oh it was in a accident OKAYYY how bad of a accident? Just a small accident here on the lot but everything is fixed no issues. Nothing showed up on a carfax report, test drove and looked over it as best as I could have and no issues so far. They knocked only $2K off the selling price which was $69K. But they still find ways to get you to pay more for the vehicle with their scam tactics. Okay deal is done and I leave with the vehicle. About 3 month has passed and noticed a visible damage on the RT side door panel, so now I m really curious as to how bad the accident was and what was covered up. So I take my car to a body shop that services Richmond BMW vehicles in my hometown to do some investigation. If I could show you the mess they found wrong with my vehicle, but I have posted a few pics online so you can see for yourself and there's more damage that's covered up and not put back together the proper way. First off my car was in a wreck, a bad wreck, not a small fender binder. I still have visible undercarriage frame damage, interior frame damage which all this is hidden from the eye that we cannot see unless we really do a thorough inspection. I have horrible weld work that corrosion and rust is building up on my quarter panel, I have bonding and freehand crap work that looks like someone at the dealer paid under the table at someone s house to make it look good. The paint job was horrible, rear passenger door replaced and much more damages that the body shop said he did not want to take apart because he was going to have to charge me to fix it back properly. So after this information w/photos, I take my car to Carmax to get appraised and they said man where did you purchase this vehicle and how much you paid for it? So I gave them a brief rundown and they said my car was only worth $31K because of that accident with bad body-shop work, we recommend that you take it back and talk to them because that was FRAUD, so now I m HOT. Called my seller and had some words, emailed him all the visible evidence of the cover up crap work that I would have never thought a dealership like this would do. I expect that from a rinky dink dealer. My seller says man I m sorry about this and I really tried to get them to knock off more money, but what would you like me to do? I said I WANT MY MONEY BACK ; this is not fair to me as a very long time customer of BMW. So he gets his boss man which wasn t the general manager and I don t remember his title because I could care less at this point. He talks to me and not in his words but pretty much tells me nothing he can do for me. So the dealership appraises my vehicle, said they will give me $40K to buy it back and purchase another one of there vehicles so they can stick it to me 2 times. WOW really guys? What you have done was fraud, sold me this crap car that is going to be a rust bucket within a year that has frame damage and other damages that wasn t disclosed to me. This is what you called not being appreciated for your service and that crap we go threw. I know I want my money back, I will fight this and do not care what it cost me. Hope this review helps.

Very pleasant, very professional. Dropped my car off and was taken care of immediately. I received a call from a service rep towards the end of the day when my car was ready. The loaner was also ready quickly.
Had my car serviced again, same experience. Stefan, my service adviser was in touch with me promptly giving me status of my car. Very nice.

I have been a BMW owner for over 25yrs and purchased numerous vehicles during that time but this was the first time from BMW of Sterling. I was shopping from out of town and Matthew Tillman was exceptional in helping us with the purchase long distance. He answered all of our questions (including my wife's many questions) and helped guide us through the process with patience and professionalism. He was very easy to work with and responded promptly to all of our inquiries and made buying a car a pleasant experience. The entire staff that we dealt with at Sterling was wonderful and would highly recommend their dealership.

Customer service is nowhere to be found. Our salesmen was having me jump from car to car to show different leather and exterior color combos instead of showing some swatches in the showroom. I believe that showing swatches of paint/leather colors should be the norm on an $80K vehicle. The service department is also below average to say the least, in regards to customer service. Took my vehicle in after getting a confirmation over the phone that it was ok to wait on a taillight failure repair/diagnosis. After waiting nearly 2 hours I was told that they didn't have the part so I have to come back next week. TWO HOURS to tell me the part isn't in stock, really? I was told that they would wash the vehicle if I had another 10min and although I was upset I figured it wouldnt be a total waste of time if I at least got my car cleaned... After 30min I asked where my car was.... they couldnt find my car and I missed an important meeeting!!!! I went and searched their lot to find my own car. When I found it with the service advisor himself he said, "oh looks like they forgot to wash it, sorry about that" UNREAL. Go elsewhere

They have competitive prices and if something you need is out of stock and needs to be ordered, it arrives at the parts department within a day or two. Their communication throughout the entire ordering/pick-up process is also top notch. I highly recommend going through them for all your parts needs.

My wife and I worked with Robert and George (finance manager) and they were both amazing. The buying experience was a breeze--mainly because the car we were buying was so competitively priced. There was a minor programming problem with the car that needed a couple days to fix. Instead of making us drive back up to Sterling from Lynchburg (where we live), Robert offered to deliver the car to us after getting the repair taken care of. I'm young, so I've only ever bought two other cars, but this experience was one of the best I've ever had. I felt comfortable, not rushed, and Robert and George were both honest and very accommodating to our needs. Looking forward to making another purchase from them in the future!

Nobody at the front desk, walked back and forth for about 15 minutes - nobody asked me anything. I helped myself to jump into a 328i xDrive which was in the showroom and very close to what I needed to look at, that was about it - I left like I was never there.

First, they change my brake oil and when i left my car still shows me a maintenance message so, i came back and they said we forgot to reset it.

Second , i wait for my car wash for approx 2 hours after the state inspection done

Third, They ordered a part for me and now its over a month but they did not get it and now they did not respond my calls and texts.

In a row it happens to me 3 times. Now i am done with it. Never go there again.

Matt Tillman is hands down the best sales I have ever worked with. Not only was Matt knowledgeable on all the BMW models but he was also patient and easygoing throughout the entire process. The best part of the entire experience was that since the 2019 X5 purchase was a surprise gift for my mom, after finding me the perfect spec, Matt took it all a step further and went above and beyond in helping me finalize the purchase (paperwork and all) beforehand as well as organized a spectacular delivery that took my mom by complete surprise. All in all, my experience with Matt was both professional and very fun; I will 100% be reaching out to Matt for any and all of my future BMW purchases/needs and whole heatedly recommend that you do as well!

I had my tires rotated and balanced for $120 while 328xi was in for a safety recall. After leaving and getting on the highway I experienced a bad vibration from 60 and up resulting in my steering wheel violently shaking in my hands. I brought the car to Mr. Tire once I limped her home as she was pretty much not drivable at any speed over 55. All 4 tires out of balance! Front right and left rear with more then 2 oz each. Hard to believe they actually balanced any of the tires. If their machine needs calibration and is out of spec, all 4 tires would have been out of spec by the same amount. Mine were out of spec ranging from 0.7 to 2.5. I paid $33 at Mr. Tire for the same job, this time done right, and the car runs smooth at any speed now. BMW of Sterling either did a seriously bad job or no job at all and just charged me for it. I called them the next day and am still waiting for a manager to call me back. To be continued .

I came to the dealership to buy some accessories for my car. I called to see what time they sell accessories until, and the woman who answered my phone call said that they sell accessories until they close at 8 PM. When I got here, I was told by a woman at the service desk that I was given bad information by someone who was "new", and there really wasn't any attempt to remedy the situation. Basically, sorry, but it sucks that you got bad information. Don't shop here. If this is the kind of service that you get when you're not buying a car, just imagine what kind of service you would get if you actually had an issue with your car.

Poor service!!! Was sold extended service contract and informed I could cancel it if I changed my mind. Realized car was still under manufacture's warranty therefore service contract not needed. Unable to cancel directly, have to cancel through financing rep George Jajonie. I've been trying to cancel contract since March 14, repeated unanswered phone calls and emails. Extremely unprofessional and discourteous.

Marco, in the service department is top notch! I was given a 1999 BMW and needed tires. Because it was an older model, my choices were limited. After 3 conversations with Marco answering my many questions, the tires were put on and the alignment was done. Marco explained everything in detail and made the entire experience calm. The waiting area was very comfortable and spacious. I will be seeing you all again. Thank you

Reviewing the service center... I just recently moved to the area and became alarmed after reading some of the reviews. Fortunately my concerns were quickly washed away. Today was my second visit and I arranged both services on-line with ease. The service center was state of art and the employees were efficient and friendly. I was able to get loaner vehicles both times, even with short notice scheduling. The customer waiting area has a coffee bar, wifi, relaxing chairs and sofas... Compared to my previous service center, this has been heaven. I almost traded in my 535 for a VW just because of the lack of professionalism at that Fayetteville, NC location.

I noticed most of the poor reviews were prior to the move to the new facility.... Try it out, you can't go wrong.

My husband and I went to look at a used 5 series a week before our house settlement and loved the car. It was the only one with the exact colors and options we were looking for. We offered BMW cash to hold the car for one week but wouldn't let us hold it because they needed to pull our credit. Here we are a week later and they are holding the car for someone else without cash down. I couldn't believe the shady interaction we had with their manager. We were there to buy the car and they had someone else who took paperwork home with them late last night so they owned the car...we shortly saw the car getting tagged and ready AFTER we came to purchase the car. One of the worst experiences we have ever dealt with. Will never go back to this dealership even if they paid me to buy one of their cars.

Extremely unprofessional, and unlike any other European luxury brand dealership I have dealt with. Reading the great reviews here I am surprised and dismayed at the experience I had with this dealership. Very unpleasant experience dealing with the internet sales staff, with more than a weeks worth of back and forth emails including multiple reminders to just tell me about availability, and a phone call on my rare day off where I was asked the same questions all over again, and a deal way more than reasonable. I followed up with a phone call the next week, and was reached by the same staff member to give me an even higher number, after which a manager ( Ed ) spoke with me remarking that he wasn t aware that the vehicles in question were loaners and that he would fix the numbers and call me back in 5 minutes. 2 hours later, he reaches out to me to tell me in fact the numbers I was quoted were correct (lease numbers higher than new inventory) because the vehicles have not been in the loaner program long enough ( these vehicles are still listed for the low sales price that I was going off of).
Perhaps the reason I was treated this way is the fact that I was dealing with inexperienced staff through the website, but my attempt at reaching the more experienced advisors to finalize a deal before my move was futile.
This is a new low and is unbecoming of the BMW brand, because the experience of my friends and family with the brand was what prompted me to look at leasing a BMW in place of my Jag/Mercedes.

I had my 328xi in for service several times over the last month. There were a few issues that weren't easy to track down. I worked with Moses and Eric through all three visits and they were both outstanding to work with. They both went beyond my expectations to keep me informed as the tech worked through the problems. I live pretty far from the dealership (Culpeper) but it is worth the hour long drive to take my car in for service there so long as one of the two of them works with me.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AWFUL SERVICE DEPARTMENT, STAY AWAY!

I wish I could them 0 stars.

I dropped off my car for service; nothing major just a few things that I wanted the service department to check.

They gave me a loaner car for the day, the car was in ok shape, a bare bones 2014 328i.

While my car was in the shop, I had to drive NYC for a family emergency.

The loaner car had less than 11K miles on it. While I was driving on a local road in NYC, the transmission dies on me.
Stuck on the side of the road, I waited for the tow truck for 2 hours to show up and take the car to the local BMW dealership in NYC.

The dealership in NYC said they would fix the car; 11 days later I receive a call from BMW of Sterling telling me to go to NYC and drive back their broken, poorly maintained loaner car and if I don't they would charge me for everyday it was not in Sterling.
It would have been nice if BMW could had given me another car in NYC so that I wouldn't had to last minute try to find a way back to VA.

Apart from that nightmare of being left stranded in NYC, I am now expected to pay for something that is not my responsibility.

This dealership has awful customer service, their poorly maintained car broke down on me and now they expect me to pay for the shipping cost to bring it back to Sterling.

If they can't keep their loaner cars well maintained, how well do you think they service your car? Not very well.

They DO NOT value customers, go elsewhere for service on your BMW.

amazing experience at BMW sterling. My first great impression was when I talked to Julius (sales manager) on phone and he was super helpful, professional, took the time to explain what are my options regarding leasing an X5, he answered all my concerns. The next phone call was from Angela (client advisor) which was super knowledgeable, respectful and not pushy at all. after getting all these phone calls with the great service, I had to drive almost 40 miles from Maryland just to see those people in person. unfortunately, didn't have a chance to meet up with Julius but Angela helped me to continue the process with Vans( sales manager), which he is another great manager at sterling location . Believe me, those people, care to get your business and take the time to sit with you and give you a whole attention to make the deal happen and make the client satisfied with the purchase. definitely, I recommend BMW sterling location to be your first stop when shopping for bmw and you will be satisfied and surprised if you met one of those persons I mentioned above.

When I leased my car Sal Ufyani from show room was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and honest. Not feeling honesty from the sales person is a deal breaker for me. He made my leasing experience smooth and comfy.
When I have serviced my vehicle I dealt with Beaver who was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. He was also professional, nice and knowledgeable.
All in all BMW of sterling is a really nice dealership that are capable in all aspects. I would recommend them especial Sal and Beaver!!

This was my first BMW purchase and the last time I purchased a car was in 2010. Needless to say, I wanted to meet with a dealer who wouldn't take advantage of novices like me. After doing thorough research and finding many good reviews about Kamal, I decided to make an appointment with him. After meeting with him, all the reviews about Kamal's honesty, passion, and respect for his work and his clients were 100% accurate. I am glad I met him and I decided to purchase my first BMW with him!

I purchased a pre-owned Countryman only to discover there was a leak into the interior driver's side floor board. I had driven my car for only 2 days...but back it went. Service was determined to find the leak and Andy kept me updated every step of the way. It took a week...but they got it! (And supplied me with a loaner to boot) And despite the torrential rains we had yesterday, my car was bone dry inside! Would certainly return for any service needs.

Each and every time I leave the BMW Sterling service department I am extremely disappointed, not with the actual work done to the vehicle, but with the service provided by their employees communicating with me. They are non-responsive, take hours to call back, will not give you a rental car for an oil change (even though it is supposed to be guaranteed for the life of the vehicle when you buy it), tell you it should by done by lunch when you drop of off for your 7am apt and still don't hear from them until 4pm. The receptionists are not helpful - call to find out the status of my vehicle and they tell me only my service advisor can tell me, but my service advisor is unavailable (they don't even check to see if they are available). The customer service is truly unfortunate... I buy a luxury to be provided excellent customer service, but you definitely will not receive it at BMW of Sterling. I cannot wait for my maintenance warranty to be over so I can take my vehicle elsewhere.

I bought a used BMW from them and it had a few problems with it once I bought it. They were super helpful and fixed all the issue for free since it was so close to the time I bought it. Plus, they let loaned me a 2016 X5 M series for free. :)
I will definitely buy my next BMW from them.

I called before I went to this BMW to get my brake...

I called before I went to this BMW to get my brakes checked. They said "come over it's free of charge and we will be able to do it today." I went there, and once I got there they said that technician leave at 3pm (Saturdays). Then when I asked about the brake check they said they would charge me $180.

This place needs to improve it's customer service. They are wasting people's time. You need to coordinate with each other especially the people that talk on the phone and those that are in the service department.

Wasted my 1 hour of time and my gas money.

Beaver did a super job with my 328XD. Not only did he fix the issue that brought me, he also closed an open issue that had been waiting on a part for nearly 2 years. I can always count on an honest assessment and solid restoration plan.

To be completely honest, I I had reached out to the leadership team to help resolve this long standing open issue and never received a response. Obviously, that is disappointing from a dealership with so much potential.

The one Item that concerns me and appears to be systematic (throughout dealership) is consistent follow up communication while my vehicle is in for service or awaiting a part. The communication usually starts off good, usually through texts, but as the time goes on it gets less and less. 3:30 in the afternoon, I had to ping them asking for a status to find out a part was ordered, and the vehicle would need to stay overnight. If I'd had a loaner car that would be ok, but this time around there were no available cars and I was "Stuck" at my office. After a while they worked out a solution. If I would not have asked, it would be long night at the office. Soon as the decision to order the part was made, somebody should have looped me in, not left me hanging.

Andrew was very good. He went above and beyond what I would consider normal assistance. I was provided with a loaner vehicle. I made a $900 error interpretating the estimate Andrew provided and was devastated when he brought me the final bill. Big difference between the $150 I thought I had authorized and the $1011 I actually requested. Andrew did some MAGIC in the back and saved me around $300. Much appreciation to Andrew! I would definitely ask for him again. Bravo Zulu!

Sean Spicher is a consummate professional!!! He responds to my text msgs immediately, scheduled me for the free service check in a timely manner and advised me of their findings very promptly! On short notice, Sean got me a loaner car, contacted my extended warranty company and ensured that they provided the warranty the evidence needed to approve the warranty repair on my car. The car was repaired within the estimated time, Sean gave me!!! Sean does an outstanding job everytime I take my 335i or my wife's X4 in for service or repair. Thanks for always taking care of our cars, Sean!!! Outstanding job all round!!

What a joke! Started out with being blatantly ignored by the group of salesman chatting about their weekend, and should have left at that point. We stuck it out and the salesman we worked with was nice enough, but very disinterested in working with us more focused on texting and stumbling his way through a sales pitch admitting he didn t know much about the car we looked at yet he had someone coming to look at the same car.. Then came the trade in process... Their new preowned manager is supposedly a Mercedes Benz EXPERT and didn t know enough about our car to offer us a trade value that wasn t laughable and not just based on price, he didn t know what model he was even appraising (an R350 is NOT the same as an ML350 as he kept referring to it VERY different vehicles)! We had been offered $5000 more an hour earlier at another reputable dealership (we couldn't come to terms on a sales price). His response was he could go up $500 and tried to use the airbag recall (that s on EVERY Mercedes from those years) to say he couldn t sell it, yet we bought two that way, and no other dealer had an issue with it. I suggest that your team reevaluate the use of the term expert when in fact this guy has no clue. What a waste of time.
