After much deliberation I ve decided to review BMW...

After much deliberation I ve decided to review BMW of Sterling. From the first interaction with the sales person several weeks ago I felt undervalued. Beware if you plan to purchase a car and you re not intending to purchase a brand new car.. it was a simple transaction turned sour. A lack of communication, poor treatment by sales person, finance person and certainly management s lack of concern, or means to rectify the situation, are some of the reasons I ll never bring my business to BMW of Sterling- nor recommend them to others.

I was never given paperwork upon signing the deal, after not 2 but 4 failed attempts to obtain a simple copy of my paperwork I decided to come in directly and decided to speak to Tony Moorehead, general manager, regarding my experience.

After a short conversation with Tony, I decided to send him and copy Tim Woods, assistant manager, an email outlining my experience and some of the short comings of the sale. I waited a week and no response or acknowledgement. As a last resort I decided to call and spoke to Tim regarding our experience. It s incredible that I continue to reach out and get no response. Verbal apologies are truly falling short at this point. We didn t even receive the promised car mats ...

After multiple attempts and complaints and ultimately feeling like second class citizens, they recognized some failures on their part... but Tony and Tim lacked the ability to provide a real resolution to prevent me from ultimately giving this negative review. In fact, it was at times condescending, Tony actually said that our complaints were feelings and did not equate to a tangible response that they could do for us... or rather willing to do for us.

Everyone knows buying a car does not mean you ll get a good or fair deal. I traded in a brand new vehicle and was given 8k under Kelly blue book and was told by another sales person at BMW a week later that everyone wanted the car. Clearly they did not struggle to make a nice profit.

What I wanted : I was unhappy with the vehicle I bought... I will note i was not allowed to test drive the car beyond the BMW parking lot...
Management asked me to come in to see if they could get me into a better car... the general manager wanted to be done with all the negativity . Negativity? I was simply outlining where, not one, but several of their employees failed at making a repeat customer feel valued; regardless of the cost of the vehicle.

After choosing another vehicle with the promise of a structured deal to keep payments fair, BMW simply offered a small discount, wanted to charge me their 699 processing fee again, and accept a loss for a vehicle purchases only a week prior. but according to management they lose money all the time.

Save your business for a place that will not judge you by the size of your down payment but by the loyalty you offer in making multiple deals over the years and trusting them to do right by you.

I purchased my BMW M4 from BMW of Sterling through Jose Zapata. What an amazing experience I had from start to finish! I have owned 5 M3's in the past and this continued my love for the BMW brand. Jose was very knowledgeable about the M product line and helped me special order my vehicle. When it arrived he took the time to review all of the new features and made sure I had a wonderful experience. I would recommend anyone I know that is looking for a BMW to visit BMW of Sterling.
They have treated me fantastic in the sales department and the service department as well.

If you need your BMW serviced the place to go in the D.C. area is BMW of Sterling. They can turn your Bimmer in a day and most times while you wait in their comfortable waiting room. Sean Spicher is my Service Manager and I recommend him. He remembers your name, where you last left off in conversation last time, and remembers your Bimmer like it s one of your own kids. That is top notch customer affiliation and service!

This is regarding my service appt visit. I had the first time slot (7am) and was greeted by Robin as if I am royalty. She was very friendly, but thorough in confirming my appt / service specifics. She got me checked in quickly, and personally showed me to the customer lounge. Upon completion of the service appt, she came to notify me I was ready for checkout. She had me proccesed and handed me my key again, with a big warm smile and wished me a good day and a return visit (should I need to).

Suprisingly, I found a nice thank you note inside my freshly washed car. I would love to have Robin again as my Service Advisor, but its slim odds as my car is a MY 2018 so I only visit annually for the state safety inspection. I will make a special trip back to drop in to say Hi to Robin.

BMW of Sterling is is one of the most professional and honest BMW dealerships in the Washington metropolitan area. I ve always been treated with respect, honesty, and professionalism when taking my vehicles to them for service. Robin Jones, one of BMW Service Representatives, is very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She always presents a professional image and always provides outstanding support to me even when I call for an appointment. Robin is one of the most professional BMW service representatives I had to deal with over the years. I would highly recommend Robin Jones at BMW of Sterling as your Service Representative when you need any service or maintenance on your BMW vehicle. Another BMW of Sterling representative that I would like to acknowledge is Blanca Guardaro, a mechanic at BMW of Sterling. Bianca is very knowledgeable and professional and has always been able to resolve any mechanical problem I present. I always request Blanca when I take any of my BMWs for service. I highly recommend Blanca for any mechanical problems that you may have with your BMW.

There are not enough words to say how great of an Advisor Sean Spicher is and a great asset to BMW. When I originally bought my car, there were some cosmetic things that needed to be fixed since day 1. Salesperson (Sal) was amazing just as every other time we worked with him. He made sure these issues were to be corrected. I was put in direct contact with advisor Moses Mahdi who has helped us previously and was always good. Well, he made me lose all hope in BMW. For months and months on end he strung me along saying that the parts are on order just taking longer due to covid. I am very patient and understanding so I trusted and believed that. He never once reached out to me, I always had to reach out to him and he never had an answer which was becoming frustrating. He just kept making broken promises. Don t promise anything If you re not going to follow through, simple as that. I ended up going in for an oil change and randomly got Sean Spicher as my advisor. I asked him while I was there if he can please check on the parts that I have been waiting for at least 6 months!!! Come to find out it wasn t taken care of properly and without Sean s help I would ve been just still waiting. Within two weeks, everything was taken care of from ordering parts to installation! Very impressed! Not sure why I was waiting months and months on end with another advisor when Sean has it taken care of in two weeks!! Sean has been nothing but super friendly, helpful and patient. He has restored my hope with BMW and will continue to only request him if possible. I hope his hard hard work and dedication doesn t go unnoticed!! Thank you so much Sean!!

I recently purchased a 2021 230i for my wife from BMW of Sterling with the assistance of Senior Client Advisor Felix Bighem. My experience purchasing this vehicle with Felix was exceptional. Felix was very courteous, professional, extremely knowledgeable about the various models and the entire sales cycle. Felix ensured that I received every discount that I was entitled to from an employee discount program through my employer, military discounts and repeat customer discounts. Whether you re a first time BMW owner or a repeat BMW customer, I highly recommend working with Felix as our buying experience with him was outstanding. I m 100% sure that yours will be too.

BMW of Sterling VA has outstanding service. On the Friday after Thanksgiving we were headed home to SC when we had engine trouble; over heating.

The car was towed to BMW of Sterling and we were extremely fortunate to have Mustapha (Moses) Mahdi as our service representative. He made sure the parts were available and that the technicians moved our car to the front of the line so we could depart on Saturday.

Moses even came in on his day off to ensure the car was completed, tested and washed. Needless to say we were on the road less than 24 hrs. (11am) for our 8 hour journey home. We arrived safely and the car was in perfect working order.

Moses and the entire BMW team were outstanding.

I went in a couple weeks ago because I had a Drive...

I went in a couple weeks ago because I had a Drivetrain Malfunction message on my F10. I had done my research before going in and I pulled the fault codes on my car that caused the error message to show up. I even found a BMW Service Bulletin describing my exact problem and mentioned all the fault codes present on my vehicle so I had a pretty good idea of what needed to be done to fix my car, plus I work on BMWs but I thought it d be best to let professionals work on this since it had to do with high pressure fuel. According to the Service Bulletin, I needed my fuel pump replaced.

Now once I get to the dealership, I share all this information with my service advisor while checking in and gave them the specific BMW Service Bulletin number so they can verify themselves while running their diagnostics. A couple hours later my SA and the technician tell me it s my fuel rail pressure sensor, not the fuel pump that needs to be replaced. I expressed my concern on why it wasn t the pressure sensor, but they are the professionals and they reassured me that was the problem so I deferred to their judgement and paid north of $600 to have it fixed.

Now, a few weeks after the work was done, I got the same Drivetrain Malfunction message and when I pulled the fault codes, they were the exact same codes as last time, meaning the problem was not fixed. I went back to the dealership today to have them check it out and this time and the same service advisor and technician as before agree that it is the fuel pump that was mentioned in the Service Bulletin I had mentioned during my initial visit and it ll cost me $1,400+ to fix. I m a bit frustrated that they didn t listen to me the first time around, I paid $600+ to replace a part on my car that didn t need to be replaced, and my car is still not working how it s supposed to. And now they want $1,400 to do what should ve been done in the first place?

I asked to speak with a service manager to see if any of the amount I had paid to fix what didn t need to be replaced in the first place can go towards the new $1,400 bill and all he did was pass me back to the service advisor who said nothing could be done to help me out.

I had a great experience at the service center with Moses. He is very patient and explained all the details for my understanding. I was given a loaner car (brand new!) for convenience during a maintenance that took longer than expected. Most memorable moment was when the management staff came to my rescue and offered help to hold my crying daughter while I reinstalled the car seat after service. In the short few minutes they were giving each other high-fives and smiles. That act of kindness melted my heart.
Also, the waiting area is spacious and clean, and a place I don't mind waiting and doing some work! Thanks for the wonderful experience!

August 2019, my wife and I started looking at Mini Coopers because she wasn't happy with her current vehicle. Not knowing if we wanted to buy, we started our search at Mini Cooper of Sterling. That is when we met Abraham. We explained our situation about only wanted to inquiry and test drive the vehicle . Abraham understood our position and accommodated our needs. We didn't buy the car, but was very impressed with Abraham's knowledge and his undivided attention to our needs.
In February 2020, we made up our mind to buy a Mini so we called Abraham. The deal was mostly done over the phone and email to speed up the process. Abraham knew how important our time was and took it into consideration. Abraham's ability to work with us was impressive and never made us feel we were under pressure to purchase the vehicle.
Thanks Abraham for a buying experience Tess and I will never forget. You are the prime example of a genuine salesman. Thanks for everything and we look forward to visit with you when we service the car.

It is very rare that I gave the sale department a negative review. But this is not just a review, I want to share my experience, which is a worst experience I have got.

I am looking for my next car, found they have a in stock X4M. I made an appointment, and did test drive, the car is great, so I asked the price. They asked me about the dealer discount I got from other dealers. I told them the number, and then they said they can match it (but they added the dealer discount and BMW lease credit). I told them that is different with what I talked, then they seemed angry and said they cannot do it, I said this is fine, I will go to that dealer , After I left, they called me and said they can give me 15k off as dealer discount. But seems they really enjoy the haggling process and want to trick the customers. No matter what discount they can offer, I will not go to this dealer at all.

I am sure other customers might have better experiences, but just be carefully, they are not honest.

The crew here is top notch. We were in the market for a new car and visited several BMW and Audi dealerships and some of the other dealers really had a take it or leave it attitude and not very willing to work with what we needed. After dealing with Jose we got ourselves into a nice car that met the criteria we had set out and in fact did a better because of the M package that came with the car and all because Jose went the extra mile and so did the finance office. I would highly recommend BMW of Sterling for not only the buying experience but also top notch service. We have previously bought a BMW from a different dealer but ended up getting the service done at BMW of Sterling because of the service crew.

I always get the best service for my MINI. There is always the offer of a loaner car when you bring your car in for service. The service advisors are great, calling and keeping you informed on the current status of your car.
I've been to other dealerships and did not get this amount of service. I recommend BMW/MINI of Sterling

I took my X-5 to BMW of Sterling for some maintenance work that I needed completed and was greeted by Robin, one of the Service Representatives. Robin was both professional and helpful. She has the type personality which will cheer up anyone who will interact with her. She kept me informed of the status of my vehicle and ensured it was washed upon completion of The maintenance work. She even had the mechanic discuss an issue with me that I had mentioned to her. I highly recommend Robin and BMW of Sterling to anyone who needs maintenance work on their BMW. I also recommend Vance at BMW of Sterling to anyone who is interested in purchasing a new BMW. Vance assisted me when I purchased my vehicle in August 2018.

I'll have to admit that I may hate buying a car more than anyone in this world, BUT, my experience this time was FANTASTIC. I've worked in Sales for 12+ years, and am always cognizant about dealing w/ car salesmen who are pushy and understand nothing about what I/customer is looking for, and what is important to the buyer. HOWEVER, working w/ my BMW Sales Rep, Driton Sadiku, was a great experience!! He was not only knowledgeable about the car I wanted, but he never pushed anything on me that I didn't want, and was helpful in reassuring me that I'd be getting the most value out of my car investment. If you are looking for a great car buying experience, I would absolutely recommend walking in and asking for Driton!!!

I went to BMW of Sterling for the first time this Saturday to get a 30K service for my 750Li. The service provided by Josh Gearhart was exemplary! I was debating b/w this dealership and the one in Fairfax and boy, did I make the right call.
From the moment I drove in the service bay, I was given first class service. Josh listened to my questions, concerns and I could tell that his first priority was to ensure that I am satisfied with the service being provided, and not just trying to make money.
He got me into a loaner within a few minutes and kept me informed via phone throughout the service process. He gave recommendations based on the checks performed by the tech but I never felt that he was trying to influence me with the decision. He gave me the information so I can make the call comfortably.
With the service I received from Josh Gearhart this weekend, now I won't think about taking my car to any other BMW dealership in the area. BMW of Sterling management is fortunate to have a service advisor like Josh around.

We just became brand new customers of BMW. We had such a pleasant experience shopping all thanks to Andrii who was such a gem of a person to work with. We loved the information that was provided with out the extra nudge from the dealership to buy the car and that's exactly what you need. I would take the extra star that's because of the confused statements you receive when you sit at the finance department and have to make those extra decisions to whether buy something for maintenance or not for 5 years. But hey I thought it was all covered for the first 3 years. BMW Genius was a surprise again thanks to Andrii.

I've had mixed experience with this dealership, from the service department. My favorite client advisor, Ralf Berthiez, is always helpful, and will take the time to chat about cars any time he's not with a customer. The right service advisor helps get through some of the service difficulties. Mike Torres was just such a service adviser, when I brought my vehicle in for a safety inspection last summer. Turned out I had badly worn tires (threads showing). I had the vehicle into this same dealership just a few months earlier, where they confirmed 'thousands' of miles still available; encouraging me to get wheel repairs done. Had I known the true condition of the tires, I would not have spent the money to repair the wheels. It was very frustrating, but Mike was patient, and helped me navigate a solution I was happy with. If not for him, I would not have returned to this dealership.

The whole experience at Sterling was great from the beginning. We had @Angela_Collins as our client advisor. She was fantastic to work with, from running through options for our base, honest i outs on what was good and bad about each options. Always ensuring that we were comfortable and liked what we picked. Even after the sale she made it point to call and find out how it was going. She not only made sure we got the best deal but also made sure we did not feel rushed. She also got us to work with this amazing finance manager and folks in Service. Just terrific overall, and we greatly appreciated it.

It's very exciting to work with a car dealership whose employees care so much about their customers like BMW at Sterling. Kamal is totally amazing!!! He has showed us a great deal of care, professionalism and respect for what we were looking for and met all our needs. As a matter of fact, this is the second time we had purchased from BMW and we keep coming back looking for Kamal. We have dealt with different dealerships....but because of Kamal quick response and overall personable approach and service we ended up purchasing our new BMW vehicle. Along with the great experience and efficiency in completing the transaction, Kamal followed up to ensure our satisfaction.

Great experience with Mr. Doughty. We discussed everything about the vehicle as we went on a 15-20 minute test drive. He stayed past the time that he was supposed to leave work so that he could be assured of my satisfaction. I just sent a note to him to follow up on a couple of my concerns about the vehicle.

She made my non going to the dealership to buy a car experience just perfect. She and I both didn't think I was getting anything that day but hey when it's the right time it's the right time. So glad I was able to see her and have the best experience you can have buying a car. This was a first for me in sense of having a really pleasant car buying experience, trust me I have bought many of cars in my short time on this earth.

I am a proud owner of 4 Bimmers ranging from a 2000 740iL to three 3- series including a 318i. Not only did BMW of Sterling do a fantastic job, it is efficient, courteous and friendly. Last week, BMW Sterling service technician Beaver Ho made some corrections to my 2014 328d and I was very satisfied with the service. I currently live in north Potomac, MD and since 2005, every time I need critical repair or want to purchase a new car, I always prefer to go to Sterling BMW because of the quality service. They always do the job right the first time and understand how important customer loyalty and satisfaction are. Beaver Ho, you rock.

I actually worked with another local dealer before...

I actually worked with another local dealer before coming to Mini of Sterling. The other dealer was rude and when they weren't being rude they were being pushy. I worked with Yad and Mini of Sterling and found the whole process to be great. He carefully explained all the options to me and when we couldn't find the right car, he helped me build a car exactly to my specifications. While the car was being built, he kept me informed of where it was and when it arrived he had completed all the paper work so that I just had to sign a few documents, hand over a check and be out the door.

I agree with Blake.. if you want to buy a used mini or BMW try another dealer. The manager Tony was probably one of the rudest people I've ever met. After I bought a used car, the car needed needed minor fixes. The manager refused to fix anything in the car, not even the windshield wipers. Service is definitely an issue. I regret buying the car from there but I fell in love with the car. If you decide to buy a car... be careful of what they tell you... I was told the car had Bluetooth and guess what I found out 5 days after the money return back warranty that it doesn't have Bluetooth. I took the car to a mechanic shop to get a diagnostic test done on it. They told me the car needed an oil change, a new clutch, and the replacement of a solenoid cable that is eroded. Tony refused to do anything about it and was harsh and unprofessional. I dont understand how they could hire people like him. Always double check the information they give you before buying the car. Definitely not buying a new mini in the future from there. What a disappointment.
