I went to buy root touch up spray, which turned out to be a restricted item. I was asked for ID but didn't have it on me. I showed the assistant a very old photo university card from 2016, but was refused.
I am 30 years old and need the touch up spray for my grey hairs. If I was under 18 or even 25, I would not be buying this product. The irony was not lost on me.
I appreciate people have a job to do but come on, root touch up spray?

I have been going to Asda Pontprennau Cardiff Gate since it has opened. In my opinion and many more the Store under its current Management has, "Drastically" gone down Hill. A Catalogue of events in recent months has Seriously damaged the stores good reputation .
Absolutely DISGUSTED with Asda. I decided to give their delivery service a try as my son had chickenpox and although I usually shop with Tesco, Asda had some particular items I wanted that Tesco doesn't stock. I will NEVER be using the delivery service again.
I contacted customer service several times, which was based in the Philippines, and kept requesting a confirmation email to confirm that they will be making all the relevant refunds back into my account, but never received any. Its now been a week since my delivery and I still have no refund. I have even shopped with Tesco online service since then and the process is so much smoother and prompt. Don't shop with Asda online... shambles!!!
Visited ASDA at Lakeside this afternoon got parked very easily as it wasnt that busy ..Did our shop and went straight through a checkout no waiting as it wasnt that busy ...AT 4pm we got in our car and tried to leave the car park ..then all hell broke loose it took us exactally 1HOUR untill 5pm to get out of the car park all trafic was at a standstill .....WHY ....... because once we had left the car park there was NO accidents NO holdup whatsoever WHY.... on speaking to head office they in my opinion were very rude not one ownce of sympthy or explanation WHY ... From a very stressed customer ....
The Coventry store home delivery has been going down hill badly since around the end of last year. Only being able to deliver 50% value wise of an order is not rare. The worst change has come in changing the "help" centre to the Philippines. Absolutely and totally useless, very scripted replies, that are usually meaningless and only vaguely connected to the complaint. At least when it was in South Africa, they seemed to care, and tried to help, and you finished the call feeling like Asda cared if there was a problem. I have nothing against the Philippines or the Filipinas in the centre , they are obviously acting under strict scripts to save asda money, not to resolve customer problems.
The most recent thing is now we can only book two hour delivery slots, the store tell me because we are far from the store (20 minutes !), if the delivery route is planned properly, what difference does it make?
Overall, it appears they have too many customers, and want to get rid of some, and certainly the main branch in Coventry is doing a good job of that.
After my excellent experience at my local Asda Superstore (Hartlepool) I decided I wanted to commend the fantastic staff (in the Opticians) and in particular the Optician herself. My family and I have been loyal customers at the opticians and we have always received excellent customer service. However, I am shocked at the dreadful reviews regarding the poor customer service that other shoppers are experiencing in other stores. Unfortunately my budget dictates where I shop and I get value for money elsewhere, however I do purchase clothing (as it is excellent value for money) and again I have always received excellent service from the staff at Asda Hartlepool. Soo come on Asda, how about addressing these dreadful experiences and take a leaf from the Hartlepool branch???
Asda in Alloa my odrder was 2 hours late when i tried to phone 6 diff calls later i was told i had missed my delivery as no one was in i am disabled and was in watching for my order all day but they kept saying i was not in then when i asked to be put to someone i could complain too they refused i asked how long it was till i got my money back 3 to 5 days so i am left no money and no food when i tried to phone head office i was told they had something wrong and to phone back Well thank you Asda i will never shop in your store again and i hope everyone sees how you treat disabled shoppers you are quick in taking our money but not so giving it back . Rate - i would get jailed if i rated how i have been treated .
The last straw with this company was when my application for part time home delivery driving work was turned down,[they would rather have in-experienced kids behind a wheel]. The previous experiences included, expensive damage to my car [3 weeks old] on one of their car parks. Waiting to be served at the cigarette/lottery kiosk[whilst staff chatted to friends/neighbours].No tills open. Goodbye ASDA, hello ALDI and B&M Home bargains, which incidentally are next door to each other where I live.
Dear Walmart SEO, it could be interesting for you to read the review people leave on the google maps for Asda Adel and you might get a clue why your investments in Asda UK are doing so poorly. Please read my review from today before your staff remove this one too.
If I could give zero starts I would! Worst customer service I've ever come across. How asda manage to keep customers is beyond me! This is the first time I've attempted to go since the middle of August and now I know why! The staff are rude, ignorant, inadequate and I see absolutely no reason for them even being there. Letter has gone straight to head office.
I ordered a pair of childrens school trousers which do not turn up at the store. Keep going back to the store and phoning customer services and keep being assured they will turn up. I then receive an email from ASDA stating that I have returned the trousers and been refunded. I DIDNT RECEIVE THE TROUSERS !!!! Phone Customer Services, no help whatsoever...tell me to re-order and try next day delivery at my own expense. Unf***ingbelieveable !!!
Absolutely disgusted received delivery all chilled items out of date in a day and half driver called depot they agreed to repack and redeliver didn't do it. Totally abnoxious man called Darren at Morley delivery depot tried to call me a liar said I intimidated driver and he called depot for help when I was the one that asked the driver to call the depot. Duty manager arranged redelivery of said goods for 9pm but Darren got involved and refused to redeliver wouldn't allow me to collect even after he confirmed that what I was saying was true and that Paul had arranged it all. What sort of pathetic excuses of management do asda employ.....head office tell you to deal with online customer service they are in Philippines and don't understand what you are saying all in all a pathetic excuse for such a big company you should be ashamed.....boycott this bunch of cowboys!!!!!!
asda ramsgate. terible costumer service. and the manger and person called bob ar so rude i will never go there again. they need training!!! and they way they treat there personal. thats just slavery. and im reporting this 2 to the jobcenter
Asda, are nothing short of sick minded bastards!!!!!!! selling halloween costumes claiming them to be 'mental patients' costumes!! maybe you lot should be wearing them as you clearly have no idea what it is to be branded with such a title!!!! maybe one day if you are ever diagnosed with a condition that requires help from a mental health team, lets hope you dont get offended to be called a 'mental patient!!'
I cant even say this is worth a star customer care 0 help 0 and please dont use instore chemist because they dont no what on earth they are doing .......its give us your money take your goods and we dont care less i dont shop ear no more ....
Asda must be the worst online grocery shop... The customer service is a joke.. Have no idea were they are based but I do know one thing I will not be shopping at Asda again.. Two weeks in a row I have had items missing and items out if stock.. Appalling ....
I have recently met two sides of the management at Asda s Harlow. The very smarmy assistant manager Mr R when you are making an enquiry, and the very belligerent Mr R when you have a complaint. Just a little to problem to most people, but this also applies to anyone else expecting Asda to act on feedback from their customers. I love kippers for breakfast at least one a week, kippers which have been noticeably absent for the last five weeks at the time I shop at Asda. Last week I see Mr R, Assistant Manager, who very smarmily assured me my breakfast of my dreams, namely kippers would be there the next week I came, namely today. Were they there, were they f***. Hope was at hand however, for right before me was, our Mr R. I complained to the smarmy one only to find out he had now become the belligerent one. Mr R doesn t take complaints very well I m afraid and laid it firmly at my door it was my fault for shopping at 07.45 in the morning because the delivery doesn t come until 10.00 a.m. What dear Mr R failed to grasp as is these kippers have a sell by date of at least a week, the delivery that Asda has should last more than a few hours. The real argument is Asda are not ordering enough for the needs of their customers. Jeckle and Hyde Mr R should if he wants to stay assistant manager, because the title of manager would be beyond him, get his finger out and make sure that when the customers come through the door, their needs are met!
My experience of Meeting Mr Neil Roots assistant manager at Asda Harlow and also posted on Spotted in Harlow.
Appauling experience at Sheerwater Asda filling station. I am registered Disabled. I filled my car with 55L unleaded. I begin to fill my 10L petrol can lodged in rear of my car. (With shopping in Asda) Pump operator shouts over the tannoy system . I'm not aware she is addressing me. More shouting on tannoy. I'm through 1/2 filling my can when the pump is switched off. Irritated I remonstrated why am I treated this way. Absolutely appalling address from beginning to end. Rude cashier. I have just been realeased from left shoulder operation and have restricted strength to lift out 10L can. No effort was made to understand my situation. Absolute jobsworth fool cashier. I left forecourt frustrated at a situation that should never have been engendered in the first place. Appauling.
Shocking Customer Service - no-one calls you back, you have to ring them all the time and then explain your problem all over again!!! Sent an item on home delivery which was 10days out of date!!!
Went into Asda store where they ask you to wear face mask BUT not the staff even those working in the aisles handling the food can be bothered to where a mask Seemed that Asda rather put profit over the health and safety of their customers
It's is a disgrace how you as an employee can't be treat with such unless pointless information and no help at all can't get it touch with payroll only though your manger in store
Delivery never turned up. Waited until 10.30pm for an order that should have turned up at 4pm. Lots of going backwards and forwards to the call centre where nobody was able to help. Store said it was out for delivery at 10pm....never turned More
Only putting one star because putting less than that isn't an option. Agree with all the other reviews, absolutely APPALLING service. And after speaking to about twenty different people obviously just kept getting through to the 'make the customer aware it's their problem' department. Absolute waste of space.
Asda should train there pickers. My on line shop looked as though it had been thrown into the bags, ready meals on there side bread squashed due to vegetables being thrown on top, trifles on there side all trifle ingredients mixed together More
Disgraceful ! BEEN CHARGE TWICE FOR FOOD SHOPPING. When I got through on the phone they told me, NO you've only been charge once. But my bank say differently... . Cant send email to head office..... AS ITS CLOSED & they WONT ACCEPT phone calls or emails. Isn't it against the law to not allow customers to complain and give them their rights? During this most difficult Covid 19 time my finding is.. There is ....NO CUSTOMER SERVICE CARE FROM ASDA HEAD OFFICE.
Having called after receiving my shopping delivery and finding the security lock had been left on a bottle I spoke to Kirsty and she advised I would receive a call to arrange either a replacement or the driver would have a tool to remove the top. If this was not possible they would request photographs and arrange a refund. When I did not receive a call I telephoned again that evening and spoke to Colin who told me that would not be happening and I would either have to go into the store and get them to remove it or order the same again and swap the bottle at my next delivery. I was very unhappy and disappointed and requested to speak with a supervisor. Colin totally refused and kept repeating that s not going to happen . I needed some help and as a loyal customer could not believe how very unhelpful this response was. My previous customer experience has been excellent and I cannot believe how service standards have fallen to such a level. The fact is Asda s pickers made a mistake so I should not be the one responsible for sorting things out. My expectations were raised having spoken to Kirsty that customer care was important to Asda, however my experience with Colin was far from pleasant, he was unhelpful, arrogant and I found his attitude very rude. Do Asda really want to become known as the Ryanair of grocery shopping?
Rude delivery drivers and a complete incompetence when it comes to having shopping delivered. Drivers refuse to come up three flights of stairs and will leave you with no shopping. Do not use this service it is a serious joke. The Asda driver in question who we had the displeasure of encountering twice is called "Olatunji".
Hopeless customer service. Food delivery did not arrive and every time I try to chase it up I am told someone will call me back - I've now been in contact with them four times and never once received contact back. Will never purchase from Asda again.
This is for the forced YouTube advertisement I keep getting constantly I'm aware os asda thank you no more non skip ad's on you tube I'm trying to watch music videos ffs
I have just been undermined by the delivery person. He encouraged my 10 year old son to sign for the shopping even after I told them 'no'. The driver continued to encourage my son to sign the hand console. Is that legal? can I have my sons doodle removed? and why would the man completely disrespect me, undermine me?
on Bank holiday Monday me and my partner went to Robin Park for the weekly shop we decided to have some food and a drink before shopping. we went to the cafe they were quite busy and so we had to wait for some service about five minutes I asked for one of the Meal deal Ultimate Breakfast Baps. I was promptly told that I could not have one even though all the items were on the hot plate wit the exception of an egg Baps were on a shelf behind the counter.
After a belittling exercise from the counter staff in front of a line of customers I was told that I could have the item I requested but it would be charged as individual items and more expensive than the offer?
I then went to customer services to complain I also took the poster from the cafe area to them and asked for an explanation?
the poster has no indication that the Meal Deal as any time limit although it states that it is subject to availability ? But as stated all items were on display.
The person at Customer services agreed with me and promptly phoned for the cafe staff to come to Customer service.
After a shot while the cafe manager? Or so the badge indicated attended and after close inspection of the poster could only say that it states that you have to ask in cafe for details? Once again I was told that the items were available butI would have to pay as individual items more expensive than the poster? I informed her that i would be writing to the head office and she stated "Good luck you will not get anywhere with them nobody ever dose". Well let see?
I have the poster and I await you response before going to trading standards.
Copy of this has been posted to the head office in Leeds with full address
Just found this on Facebook can you explain why this lady was banned and speak to your staff!! This also has a video and its going viral.
Asda, why has your #Rochdale store banned a woman for helping a #homeless lady who had no shoes on?
You need to resolve this quickly with a public apology; some compensation for the lady who actually went in to your store and bought the homeless lady some shoes... And some compensation for the homeless lady, something of a goodwill gesture like finding this woman the support and housing she needs rather than having your employees abuse her and then ban people who help her...
We suggest re-training your employees so they realise that they're just one wage slip away from homelessness themselves in the current economic climate... And can become homeless at any given minute... Inevitably resulting in mental health issues and sometimes addiction...
Why should we allow huge corporate to profit from our communities when they do this to our most vulnerable?
You should be ashamed of yourselves. The change in contract is purely so you can increase your bottom line. The price of that profit is the ability for your staff to live their life. It's the equivalent of battery chickens. You have made your staff even more miserable and dependent on you with no predictability in their shift structure or number of hours. You have stolen their work life balance so you can make a few extra quid. I'll never give you another penny of my money because of this
Absolutely useless customer service team. Rude and incompetent. I am still waiting for a delivery from 19th April which is over 2 months ago. No communication from them I have had to ring every day to chase the order and still am nowhere. Will never be ordering again.
Twice now asda have taken my money and not delivered my shopping. I have a 4 year old child having no cereal before school tomorrow because asda thinks it's okay to take your money but cancel your order! Fuming!
Asda are a disgrace with extremely poor Customer Service, Can never complete an order correctly and are extremely incompetent when it comes to Home Shopping, Appear to be cheaper on Face Value but actually aren't, I will never ever shop with them again! Tesco are better quality, More efficient and seem a damn sight more competent on a whole!
Ordered click and collect. The person at the click and collect area packed my car for me as I have a shoulder injury. I tried to give him some cash but he wouldn't accept it. He is a great role model (indian guy with a beard). Really very impressed.
I had a accident at work where I fractured a bone in my ankle, which means I have had to have crutches tso I could get about, I went to my local asda store to do some shopping a few times the mobity scooters were not charged up which put other people out who could not use them, I was told that they can't recharge all of them as there is only one socket even though they sell muti sockets but they need to pac test them. Aslo they have not got any shopping at the front of the store, as I was told because school children were taking them. THE STORE IN QUESTION IS IN RUSHDEN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE NN10 6AA, when you get this message can someone from Head office please get back to me ASAP
Asda Sittingbourne. I put a comment in book at customer service on the 10th August about broken( unusable strap) on the child's disabled trolley, didn't hear anything, went into store today, 6th September and the trolly is still broken! Store manager sent another manager over to talk to me! This Manager was condasending and couldn't really be bothered! His response was, well a new manager has started so he is just finding his feet !!! He also said, " we don't have someone sitting at a desk writing letters !! HELLO ASDA, This is a health and safety issue !!! This Manager walked away without even looking at said trolley. I have taken photos of broken trolley, if nothing has been done about it by Friday 8th September, I will upload photos to multy media . Asda need to work on customer service or even customer awearness !! Disgusting complasency .
I purchased four bottles of Coke Zero, when I got them home I opened one and it was flat, I checked the others and they were flat. I contacted Coke direct and they told me they were pass there sale by date and should not have been on the More
I bought some sprouts from the Dewsbury store yesterday, display until 23rd... its the 21st today and the lot have gone in the bin. Very stale, all bad inside and it appears weeks old. You dont deserve customers
the woman arrived 45 minutes early for a delivery lied to my daughter, then lied to me, in a panic, left ALL the shopping, no bags, on the floor as quickly as she could and drove off, leaving them on a wet ground. horrid woman - horrid asda - 3 days later - surprise surprise - no contact
On Saturday 29th December my wife and myself went shopping in Asda at Shoeburyness Essex. When we reached the check out my wife noticed that one of her rings had come of off her hand, the ring itself was a family heirloom passed down from her Nan, we were unsure at the time whether it had fallen into one of the shopping bags or her purse. This we didn't determine until we got home and couldn't find it anywhere. My wife was greatly upset but we phoned customer services just in case and luckily it had been found and handed in. When we went to retrieve the ring we asked to see the person who had found it and a very nice young lad by the name of Ollie who works in the store, came forward and we thanked him very much for his kindness and honesty. Once again many thanks.
Sick and tired of not getting my full order from Asda. I've had nearly 30 deliveries and can honestly say that I've only had 3/4 complete. Why does this happen and why doesn't someone do something about it and why doesn't someone contact the customer to explain why they haven't received their order. You are supposed to be an international company but you worse than a corner shop. Last order was over half the items short so I cancelled it and done the same order with Tesco and got everything I asked for, so why can't Asda do that? I bet no one from Asda will reply because they don't have a customer CARE department.
The Manager at Small Heath Asda need to go and get some training on his customer communication skills, Not the kind of Manager and ambassador I would want representing my company. But I don'r suppose Asda will do nothing about it. They will think like other big companies, It's just another supplier, customer, complaining and just take no notice..... The manager's only a young man with a lot to learn regarding managing and treating his staff and customers with respect but in my opinion need further training before Asda puts him in a leading role representing there brand,,,,,,
The corporate bullying of it's long-serving employees into signing new employment terms and conditions or be dismissed is beyond words. I will take my custom elsewhere.
I made a order for home Delivery Saturday my food never turned up neither has my money been refunded!, So Saturday I rang up the store to see what's going on they said won't be able to deliver till monday! But I paid 3 pound for next day delivery so I'm not happy! I woke up this morning to a text to say my shopping won't be coming today cause there's not enough funds in my account!! So asda have taken my money and not delivering my shopping, I have been robbed i rang up customer services and thestore I ordered from and I'm getting no help!! No one I repeat no one order from asd home Delivery I'm now losing out on 70 pound and I still don't bag my shopping!!
Things I buy on a regular basis are vanishing from my local store, it's very annoying and they are ~Asda own brand or exclusive to Asda, these should be available in every store. I'm not travelling miles to get stuff which could be in my local one! get organised
Absolutely Fuming, I have just spent an hour ordering an elderly gentlemans shopping who has a reoccurring slot for Friday 19th June. It said that the slot had expired even though it says he has until 11.59pm on Tuesday the 16th June. We rang the help line and after a short wait got through to JAMES OLIVER . What a piece of work he was. He clearly did not know the meaning of customer service He was aggressive, spoke over the top of my client who is an 81 year old man who was trying to ex[plain what the problem was. He said his computer was saying you have to place the order 3 days before the delivery date. He has had this slot for the last 4 months, he received an email from Asda saying he had until 11.59 tonight and on the website in front of me it said exactly the same but this horrible man by the name of JAMES OLIVER didn't care about that and thought it was quite acceptable to be aggressive and virtually abusive to this 81 year old man who is vulnerable and shielding. When I went on the phone to him and told him that his behaviour was disgusting he continued to try to talk over me and said he didn't have to listen to this and promptly hung up I have never spoken to such an arrogant, aggressive so called customer service person ever . His behaviour was absolutely disgusting. The gentleman I care for was very upset by the way he was spoken to by JAMES OLIVER. He has been a loyal customer of Asda for over 30 years and ordered his shopping ever week on line for the las 3 years but since lockdown he has found it very difficult to get slots. So I have been getting his shopping from Morrisons. This was the last straw for him. He is a vulnerable 81 year old man who should be treated with respect and not abused by this horrible man JAMES OLIVER. I am absolutely disgusted in Asda for allowing this to happen, why would you employ such a person as this. I will be making sure everyone hears about how you treat your elderly customers, DISGUSTING.
Asda has awful policies for its employies. They issue ritten warnings for sickness before correctly looking into it, I dont work for Asda but know others who do. And have been amazed by how they use there company policy incorrectly. Guys try having back to work interviews then ocupational helth then have the review not the other way round maby you then might keep some of your good employiees. I dont like Aldi but they pay better have faster checkouts and better prices. Do something before Wolmart kicks your ass. Hay heres a thought look into repetative strain injurys people on tills all day, top stocking with repeated use of ladders. Sort it or loose our custom!!!!
I have just contacted Watchdog about this, its an absolute joke. Emails go in a loop with automated responses, they keep asking for my original compliant and when I reply it says 'inbox full'!!! So i email through website and get another automated response!!!
My local store in dartford said the issue with non-deliveries is still happening and they cannot get answers either they get the phone hung up on them!
Think carefully before using the online grocery ordering.............you may regret it!!!
Asda will only let me post my review if I tick one Star not my choice.....I must aplogise for shopping in your store this morning and getting in the way of your online pickers. I must also apologise I was under the impression that customer service training was given to all Asda employees, I will not make this mistake again, by shopping in your store in South Woodham Ferrers. I am not dirt on the bottom your asda employees shoes and don't wish to be treated like this again.
So pleased with Asda today at Asda Harpurhey store. They started selling fresh Chicken Wings. As before they won't stock it. Last Summer they would know stock them. I couldn't have my BBQ. I love finger food.
I have always liked the asda chicken curry soup bought one today after not having one for a while price gone up and the chicken has vanished come on asda get your act together cant put prices up and put less ingredients in
MY EXPERIENCES WITH ASDA STORES HAS NOT BEEN VERY GOOD, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, I HAD SOME NASTY INCIDENTS WITH STAFF AND ESPECIALLY WITH SECURITY MEN, WHO STOP YOU AND DEMAND TO SEE A RECEIPT BECAUSE THE SHOP ASSISTANT DID NOT REMOVE THE SECURITY TAG. THEY TREAT YOU AND SPEAK TO YOU LIKE A THIEF AND A CRIMINAL, THEY SPEAK DOWN TO YOU, INTIMIDATE YOU, THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT. I HAD A SECURITY MAN AND TWO OTHER MEN IN ASDA STORE (HALESOWEN) FOLLOW ME OUTSIDE AND ACCUSED ME OF STEALING A PAIR OF TROUSERS, THE DEMANDED ME TO COME BACK INTO THE STORE AND THEN THE SECURITY MAN STARTED ACCUSING ME OF ALL KINDS OF THINGS, HE SAID HE WAS WATCHING ME ALL THE TIME, EVEN WHEN I HAD TO GO THE LADIES, HE TIMED ME HOW LONG I WAS IN THERE, I COULD GO ON AND ON, I THINK FROM THE CUSTOMER POINT OF VIEW AND THE WAY I HAVE BEEN TREATED, ASDA IS NOT A FAIR TRADING STORE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT. NO STARS FOR ASDA
Nuneaton Store should be ashamed of its self... returned a leaking tub of ice cream even before i left the carpark, it was everywhere and told " because i placed it in the bag on its side its my fault" they kept the ice cream and threttend to call the police when i challenged the manager.... never mind ASDA'S return T&C atol just ignores them and walks away... after 14 years of weekly use i'm never going back and switching to tesco
got hit by a home delivery van on Saturday been given the run around for 1 and a half hours then said driver on holiday till Friday just rang Colindale he finished at 4pm and will be in tomorrow ??? this is disgusting way to treat anybody also car was stationery when asda van hit our car thank you very much asda
